I accidentally spilt a coffee everywhere and the staff were very helpful and friendly as well as giving me a free drink even though it was my fault

Mopping the entrance floor at 6:20pm, not great. No wet floor signs. I understand mopping lesser used areas but not the entrance lol

An amazing place for amazing coffee. The staff are always super friendly and the coffee is always delicious. When you need to get a coffee before or after the train, stop in here. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic team on morning shift June 1st, big shout out to Anna, super friendly and attentive. The location is very busy since it is across the train station.

I walked in and was greeted ,,hi mate,, asked for coffees to have in with couple of cakes.I was told they can not do the drinks in the mugs because the dishwasher does not work.I told them I get a allergic reaction when I drink from a plastic cup but they refused anyway.The next think I see is a lady passing by with a tray and her coffee in a mug saying to her other half …only for special customers….i think everyone is equal no matter of colour or accent you have.Then I approached the staff wanting an explanation and they responded only with smile!!This time they called me Sir…I won’t be using this branch ever

After a disgusting cappuccino in the Starbucks on platform 4 of the train station on my previous visit to Southampton, I arrived far too early for my train connection to Christchurch so I approached the ticket guard who then kindly let me out to visit this coffee store across the road, WHAT A DIFFERENCE, I was served by a very friendly young man who then made my medium cappuccino with an extra shot to perfection, sadly I had to have it made in a takeaway cup due to their dishwasher being broken but I was happy as it was spacious, clean & tidy inside with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus the food that was on display looked very edible, I can't wait to return when I am next in the area.

Expensive toasties, all food and drink was served in disposable cups and bags... Staff talk to you like you're stupid, I may have grey hair but I'm not an imbecile, talking to me in a patronising way, just because I didn't have my app to hand, I was literally coming out of a migraine and needed something to eat before we went to the theatre, I was slow to find my app, and she was hurrying me on.. Then telling me how to use it! I repeat I am not an imbecile and didn't like being spoken to as if I was a halfwit... Made me feel awkward and embarrassed. She even questioned my choice of 2 toasties, I bought a ham and cheese for my husband and a plant based ham and cheese for myself, she waved it in front of me and said ' do you know know you have the same flavours but different types'? Yes I do, I replied I'm vegan! She said oh I thought you didn't know they were different.... The pointing at the terminal tapping it to demonstrate how to use my card.... Oh my God! If I wanted to be humiliated, made to feel old and senile I'll be sure to visit southanpton costa no time soon!

I’ve been coming here to do some uni work the past few weeks and the staff have always been lovely. Spending 3-4 hours here sometimes, and close to closing time, during which I’ll usually buy a couple of drinks and maybe lunch or a cake. Staff are helpful, polite and the cafe is spotlessly clean. Especially would like to praise Sophie, she’s provided friendly service and I have enjoyed coming here and working on my laptop.

They gave me a double for the price of one since it was closing time

Don’t usually like Costa but this branch is really special. Cheers to the ginger guy who was making 10 drinks at a time - he was really nice to everyone and very accurate. Really nice people here - they have to deal with a lot of stress !

The staff are amazing incredible supportive in this costa especially I’m a suffer of epilepsy I’ve had a fit in the shop last year and was supported by certain staff which where Charlie and Deon and the manger they have in this costa is amazing I’ve never known a manger of a shop that is run perfectly in where the customers are given and lead in amazing service I totally recommend this costa to be visited by yourself Love Anthony

There was a guy that I think his name was Eden and his service was amazing, me and my mum were talking about how happy and cheerful he was towards everyone. It was really a pleasure to order.

Great coffee place, tho, did not get Yorkshire's Golden tea, Spiffs favorite! It would be nice. Great coffee tho. Took Latte 3 in one (you take regular warm latte, drink long enough it becomes cold latte, if you leave it in a car during winter it even becomes Frappe! Tho atmosphere is cosy with a view to the train station. Nice to monitor people.

I d love ladies services here, they are so kind and spread positive vibes. I got bagel with cheese gherkins and beef - this bagel should be in every Costa s - they warm it up for me. Delicious

Drinks were really good. The downside is that there were only two staff members. The girl at the till was calling the barista to help her with the pricing for every single customer 😳 so the service was getting slower and slower. Our drinks were to take away, but I noticed that the few free tables were full of dirty cups due to lack of attendance

Just going in and waiting for a good 5 minutes while the staff at the counter just pretend not to notice me. was enough for me to walk out adnnot give them my custom. Very arrogant staff, need better training.

Service is too slow. One barista making the orders in peak times is inadequate. Ordered a simple double espresso, however received it only after 2 customers behind me in the queue received their orders. Barista seemed overwhelmed with amount of orders. Not good!

Great stop off after a long stressful journey, just right by Southampton Central so easy access to city centre and bus links. The cafe is very clean and tidy, staff very helpful and the food and drinks great what more could you ask for

Once the quickest service in any Costa in Southampton it has deteriorated a little. It is a very busy branch admittedly and a lot depends on the staff members but the wait times have definitely increased of late. Staff is friendly and the store is clean and tidy

Not many options for vegetarians . They only had a cheese and cranberry sandwich but i don't like cranberry. There was a cheese and ham sandwich so i asked if they could remove the ham and there was a 5 minute hesitation and back and forth about that because the "can't remove the ham". I ended up going to Starbucks which is next door and has more vegetarian options.

The Food and coffee are fine. Service bit on the slow side in my experience. Would allocate 20 minutes of waiting time if you need to catch a train afterwards.

There’s one competent person who works here, and he must be a manager. He was trying to do everything himself. The girl working the sandwich grill was giving anything to anyone. The guy I front of me was handed 2 sandwiches instead of 1 and I ended up with the wrong sandwich and got on my train before I’d noticed. Drink some caffe and get it together.

Drank a good coffee, absolutely anywhere but here. Very weak americano, augmented by the grimy flooring and sticky table top. Would appreciate if the lad brewing the beans would kindly stop picking his nose around the patrons's cups.Definitely not recommended.

These guys and girls are the best! I visit almost every weekend before my work trip to London and their service and welcoming nature is fantastic. I just have to walk in the door and they’ll yell my regular order out for prepping before I say a word! The regular barista even put together my coffee in record time so I’d make my train at the last minute.

The Costa Coffee outside Southampton Central Train station is clean with social distancing in place. The guy at the till was very friendly and the place was cool in comparison to outside.

Went in for coffee and a snack while doing my shopping. Check in with NHS app. Seating spaced out for social distancing. Good quality coffee and nice food.

I hate coffee shop coffee....but I have a soft spot for the cold stuff and baked goods.... Staff was really nice (I forgot my glasses so they read the menu fpr me which was kind ) had the fres Berry frost which was yum....as well as the blueberry muffin.....🤤🤤🤤🤤 place clean...covid compliant ...

Always great service. Staff are very aware that customers may have a train to catch from the station opposite and are very efficient to ensure you are in and out ASAP. Consistently friendly and courteous, they are a great example of solid customer service.

Both tea glasses were heavily scratched and the teapots unclean. It felt as if there was zero care in regards to presentation.
