Costa Coffee in Manchester

Standard Costa Coffee. This was at T2 airside. We received quick and friendly service. The coffee were very hot and our order was accurate.

Appalling array of insect infested cakes on display. Told that the airport does not allow them to cover. We were given cakes from unopened pack and coffee was nice. But, there is clearly a problem, deep clean required and do not expect customers to eat insects on their cakes.

I genuinely thought I had wandered into one of those “Karen” restaurants where the staff are paid to be perpetually rude to you as part of the experience…. the giveaway was Karen restaurants probably don’t have tables which haven’t been cleaned to the point stuff sticks to them and new life forms evolving on them. For the space available there aren’t enough chairs - there are broken ones (let’s see what you could sit on if we could be bothered to fix them) just not enough usable ones. Costa was always my favourite coffee shop - not any more…. You expect airports to be expensive but there’s no excuse for the level of rudeness and filth here. Airports are stressful - you yearn for a relaxing coffee served with a splash of human kindness not sitting in muck enduring vitriolic outpourings. (To clarify - not keen !)

Staff brilliant, working like dogs but three people on duty serving hundreds. One entire coffee service area not in use. 25 minute wait for coffee, tables dirty and uncleared. Sort it out Costa, this is rubbish.

Some customer service training is required at this location. The lady Mihaela that cleans this Costa coffee, is rude and unprofessional. We arrived at the cafe and put our coats down for literally a minute while I took a picture of the sunset and my husband was getting the cash from our suitcase to buy our meal. Without any hesitation she followed us and kept saying these tables are for customers only and started sweeping under our feet. Repeating we needed to move for actual customers. My husband had a costa card and used every morning on the way to his office, no one should be assumed to not be a customer as they are sitting down before ordering their food and drinks. We decided we didn’t want to order anymore and left. On our way out she was doing to another lady who had literally just sat down!

Usual Costa set up but didn't look particularly clean on the floor and between units.Many small black flies over the pastries and cakes . Obviously known about as cake displays had netting across the openings to coffee making area....expressed concern to barista who shrugged and said "Always!" Maybe Costa needs to inspect it's waste and trash area as a breeding ground for these? fruit flies?.

Thrown out by a rude and aggressive lady at 3pm after paying for food and drink. I'm sure it is necessary to deep clean and restock but surely it can be done in a more polite and caring manner. After we were thrown out, she was aggressively stacking furniture and carelessly sanitising tables. Would never have a costa at the airport again.

My twin brother Stephen and I arrived at Manchester Airport to catch a flight to start an eight days holiday in Prague,with lots of time to kill we dropped into Costa Coffee for a reviving coffee and what a nice visit . It's a modern airport outlet ,neat and tidy,cool decor and furnishings,a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer ,it's a cool cafe to chill out in. We ordered a flat white coffee,served steaming hot ,we chilled out and looked forward to our flight to get us to one of the most beautiful city's in Europe. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee ,it's consistent in all their outlets and their flat whites are a particular favourite of mine . We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on previous visits to this airport outlet we had a pleasant experience ,it's easy to locate in Terminal Three.

We ordered a flat white coffee each,these were served steaming hot ,we chilled out and caught our breath after going through passport control. A big fan of the coffee served in Costa Coffee ,it's consistent in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is a favourite of mine. We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on previous visits to this Costa Coffee in Terminal Three we had a pleasant time.

Was at Manchester Airport for an early morning flight to Spain, great coffee as usual and a lovely croissant, staff pleasant and good social distancing measures too.

Ellie served my coffee today, and went the extra mile. My first cup was returned as it was it quite hot enough. Immediately sorted and provided more sugar etc without fuss. Thank you Ellie

Very early morning start at the airport. Staff were chatting amongst themselves and had to re-clarify the order as they weren’t listening properly. Coffee was good. Croissant was stale and inedible - put it in the bin.

After security I had plenty of time before my flight so went to Costa for a coffee and cake. There was no queue and I got served straightaway. Chose an Americano and a piece of Rocky Road which was a decent size and tasted nice. Staff were friendly enough. Found a seat in the window where I could watch the runway. Ideal spot and would use this cafe again.

Slow service, always a queue that never seems to go down. Nowhere to sit. Needs more staff to serve and make the drinks.

Travel fairly regularly through this airport and every time you think I can’t be bothered queuing in that! However, they are so efficient in getting down the line it really doesn’t take that long. What else are you really going to do with your time anyway? Quality of the drinks as good as any Costa and service is Always with a smile.

I always visit the Grain Loft restaurant before boarding any flights from Terminal 1. The breakfasts are delicious and the service is superb! All the staff are great here and efficient and I highly recommend visiting.

Nice friendly service selling all the costa range. Good seats with lots of electric sockets! Worth visiting!

Costa coffee is my favourite but this must be the slowest I have ever been too. The person on the tills were also making the coffees so obviously short of staff.

Had a cappuccino each while we waited for our daughter flew in from a business trip to Bangladesh. It was early in the morning so the coffee woke us up, just the job. She was a bit delayed but not by much. Service was quick...

Come on Costa get some recyclable cups! Deliberately chose a 'stay in' rather than 'take out' so I would get the washable crockery but got 1 use plastic cutlery with it. Come on you can do better! Still delicious coffee and great service.

Friendly efficient service, what more can you ask for at an airport Costa. Plenty of seats with charging points!

Visited here on my way out for a flight from T1 and admittedly it was not a particularly busy period so had time to take a nice caramel latte and sit and enjoy the taste. Costa seems to extract a better flavour than some of...

This particular Costa had very helpful, friendly baristas. We were given a choice of the usual coffee or a new stronger one. My wife enjoyed her usual soya latte whilst I tried and enjoyed the new stronger coffee in my Café Mocha.

The staff could be friendlier. I had the fruit salad which didn't taste that nice. However the prices of products were cheap and everything was clean.

Called in here for a bacon roll and catch up with a friend, am used to the costa branding so all was good, nice area to chill out before flying.

Popped into Costa T3 prior to my flight this morning. A super busy airside cafe, which was surprisingly well organised and reasonably priced for an airside eatery.

If your stuck in Manchester Airport and fancy a bite to eat then it can be a bit of a nightmare especially if you are Gluten Free. I found a GF Chicken Caesar Wrap in Costa. Pity it wasn’t Vegetarian as well!

We had coffee here between flights at Manchester airport. It was slightly overpriced, but the coffee was good - as good as we'd get in Australia, and the blueberry muffins were delightful, moist and tasty. When you find a reliable coffee shop like this, you don't mind paying a little extra.

I got to know the person beside me in the queue the service was so slow.. Service was polite, and the coffee was good - and it was a price lower than some nearby high streets.

The worst costa I have ever visited. Very busy when I queued at about 11.00 for what I hoped would be a coffee and toasted tea cake.

To be fair with this review the airport was a night mate and they did their best flights had been cancelled, my gripe was they allowed people to use the coffee shop to sleep on the chairs, no seats no tables or rubbish cleared bags etc on tables, they only have ghost shift in and it was very early so not entirely the staffs who were at fault.

Ordered a soy latte and a Danish - both rubbish. Soy in now way frothy, Danish stodgy and not at all flakey.

Flew out here on a little trip to Dam, arrived a little late so could only manage to grab a coffee. The service was fast, but not efficient. Over all, it's only Costa didn't expect much.

Teníamos un vuelo temprano a Roma y necesitaba un café y después de haber reviviendo la aduana aclaró que inmediatamente fuimos a Costa Coffee.

Esta bien. Normal, de sabor esperaba mas, pero bueno... de precio un poquitín mas barato que el resto de los cafés del aeropuerto.

Yo a veces tengo un café aquí antes de un vuelo de regreso a Dublín. Buenas vistas de la actividad de vuelo, el café es decente y el personal en general es agradable. La comida está bien, pero en la cara, ninguna sorpresa ya que es airside.

Perfecto sentarse antes de nuestro vuelo a Filadelfia, y el gran café con leche con un extra de disparo dio en el clavo. Servicio rápido y ajetreado pero personal rápido en las mesas.

5am and a coffee and toasted sandwich helped get the day off to a good start. Despite a queue of customers the staff worked fast to serve us, everywhere was clean and tidy. Great Coffee and I earned triple points on my Costa Card, cheaper and better than the prices charged on Ryanair flights.

The coffee is as good as any Costa shop....excellent really, however I usually use this costa coffee on a Saturday evening and everything's fine and plenty of space to sit. We just have time to get coffee before departure.The Friday before New Year the terminal (T3) was packed at 4pm and Costa was packed and it was evident that some people were lingering long after their coffee had been drunk...however I guess they had some justification to linger since there was precious little room. What I didn't consider justified was a table of British Airways crew from pilot to cabin attendants, blocking a table without much evidence of having had coffee..one of them had a take out cup and there was an untouched takeout cup o. The table, other than that there was no evidence of them doing anything but use Costa as a staff room.Travelling with my wife and mother who is 86 infirm and registered blind is difficult enough but then to 'troll' around with her and a tray of coffee and tea to find somewhere to sit is pretty grim. One of the BA crew got up as I was passing and when asked if she was 'leaving' the reply was yes but I'm coming back...well she did but it wasn't with coffee or any other purchase.So whilst we sat on two trolley bags and 'borrowed' a chair at a table where two glum girls were scrolling through their iPhones , for my mother, The BA crew carried on with their jolly conversation. It was poor showing from company representatives who's motto is to serve to care.

En mi viaje a Manchester decidimos tomar un chocolate en el famoso costa, la verdad es que estaba muy rico. La gracia es que cuando te ven con cara de turista y pides un chocolate no te piden si lo quieres pequeño, mediano o grande, te cobran directamente el grande. Imagino que lo deben hacer con todo, así que ojo al pedir!

Los precios como cualquier otro aeropuerto del mundo, son excesivos, pero si los productos son buenos no tienes motivos para la queja. El café bueno, al igual que la repostería (croisants tiernos), lo malo que están las mesas muy juntas.

Was in Manchester Airport on Thursday and although it's a lovely airport I am very disappointed with the rate of exchange given at the Costa Coffee. I had purchased three items but didn't have enough sterling so I asked if I may pay in Euro. I was delighted I could but when I handed over 15 euro to pay for a £9.50 charge I was told it wasn't enough. He said I would only get 3.20 euro per £5. I was shocked at the rate of .64 when it is .90. I understand that there maybe a bit of a rate difference but to go from the official rate of .90 and lower it to .64 is just robbery.To add to the insult I was also told I couldn't sit down with my children and have our drinks. It was 8.40pm, so I asked what time they closed at and I was told 9pm. Ridiculous to be open for 20 more minutes and yet you are not allowed to sit there after purchasing their products. Soooooooo annoying.

It's costa! If you've been to one this will be pretty similar. You can sit by the window for views of planes. Located right by the gate I usually use for a trip to the IOM so you have plenty of time to rest ore flight. Pastries and snacks available too.

Costa to me means lousy service. Today was the exception. Fast, slick, friendly and very functional for business in terms of the design, facilities and layout. Well done.

Have often stopped here for a coffee and a bite before travelling. Beats Ryanair food easily! Great service and really nice staff, no impatience whatsoever. Only problem is that the queues can build up quickly. Making this my regular caffeine refill when commuting

Lovely little place in Terminal 3 of Manchester Airport. It has the usual Costa decor' and looks like any other Costa place. The prices aren't really any different from any other Costa and therefore it's not a bad bet when you're sat waiting for check-in or your flight. The Q's were quite long but the speed and efficiency of the staff meant I had no longer than 5-10 minutes to wait. I highly recommend buying the travel mug. It's around £8 and you can fit a large coffee in it comfortably. I went for refills several times and they happily filled it up for me (Obviously, for a cost!)I've had it for a year or two now and it's lasted more than 20/30 trips! :) Have a coffee on me guys!

Piazzato in un angolo del terminal 3, ha i tavoli occupati da viaggiatori in attesa che non trovano da sedersi in questo terminal assai poco organizzato. Qualità media, personale cortese, ma moooolto rilassato.

As always Costa Coffee offers a great level of friendly service, fast food and I hasten to add fresh and tasty. However it is the service that makes this restaurant/coffee house a great place to visit.It’s convenient for people travelling for working at the airport (based at Terminal 3) and is accessible for everyone. Business people on a quick trip into or out of the UK, families on a holiday trip and as I’ve already mentioned people working at the airport. It’s great for meeting and greeting people and I have had a couple of business meetings there as well.It’s spacious for wheelchairs or prams/buggies and although it’s a busy place, the atmosphere is still quite relaxing.Visited here many times and will continue to visit. Remember the loyalty card that needs stamping :) :)

Sat here at 4am before our flight. Coffee was lovely. Very busy but plenty of seats. Great views while waiting. Can't fault really

We had a coffee (americano) at this costa cafe .. and they asked if we'd like the new beans.. I said ok .. well it was sludge... worst coffee I have had anywhere.. to be fair when I took it back they made me another to take away with their normal beans.. a big improvement but still nowhere as good as other coffee houses.

I've never flown from Manchester before, and following this latest experience in this hole of an airport, I never will again. Having said that, of all the venues in the primitive terminal, Costa was the one that was coping the best in such an overcrowded situation. There was no time for any finesse - but reasonably priced and of the same quality of what you'd expect of any Costa. There are also seats with views over the aprons and runway.

Went for a coffee whilst waiting for our daughters flight from Rome to arrive, we had a cake with it that we shared. Fab. Good service although they were very busy.

Always a good place to eat something. We were waiting for our flight at the terminal 3 and we chose costa coffee for a toaster and a drink. The personnel is always friendly and kind and the service is good. The quality and the food is the same wherever you find a costa coffee so, if you like, you know what you find. Good!!!

Went here on a Friday afternoon at 1600hrs. The terminal was packed and this Costa was very busy. Nevertheless, the staff kept everything stocked and clean, and didit with a smile. They deserve a big pat on the back.

This morning we have enjoyed a fantastic breaksfast in the new Costa Coffee in Manchester. We ordered two muffins, one of these of lemon and the other one of raspberry with white chocolate, accompanied by coffee latte. It was stuffing of a kind of cream with a hint of lemon and raspberry.

Normal costa overpriced fare. We only went in because we were at the airport anyway, and my partner loves his cinnamon latte!

This coffee shop is a regular for us when travelling from Terminal 3. The staff are always pleasant and helpful - for example providing me with a small cup of milk for my grandson. Standard Costa products but not overpriced and you know what you're getting.

I've been in this Costa today (14/05/2016). This was the second time I've visited this unit. The first was great, big selection from all types of sandwiches, pastries etc. Today they had no sandwiches at all at 7:30 morning! Not even a ham and cheese toast! If they ran out from sandwiches around 10am that's acceptable but 7:30 morning is not! Come on guys! You can do better!

Probably the best place to go for a bacon sandwich/toastie before flying off with Ryanair. We arrived at 0550 to find a big un-organised queue formed. I'm not a regular at Costa Coffees so when I got to the front of the queue and asked for my food, I was told that the toasties are all in wrappers in the refrigerated areas behind me which meant having to queue up a 2nd time. Thankfully, time was on my side. I must admit that the coffee was very good, served in a large cup which made up for my earlier wasted time. The area I where I sat was clean and the staff all seemed friendly even at silly o'clock in the morning.

There is no option for Manchester Picadilly station , so to clarify its Picadilly station I was between trains and they have a small kiosk type one of many in the station.Had a chai latte, extra chai amazing better than Statbucks which has become a bit like hot milk with a hint of spice if you are lucky but for me the highlight was the staff, 3 of them wedged into this area a cashier barista and manager and they were all to be frank funny having a laugh and it was a bit like going to the Edinburgh fringe , but actually what a buzz , really enjoyed the few entertainment and I will definately be back loved the banter and the relaxed vibe might not be corporate text book standards but put it this way they were the only kiosk with a que

Pyszne jedzenie, kawa, atmosfera oraz bardzo uprzejmy i sympatyczny barista Arkadiusz Gorąco polecam, idealne miejsce celem oczekiwania na samolot.

Bardzo dobra kawa, a do tego bardzo miła obsługa - na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje Pan Arkadiusz zawsze uśmiechnięty.

Stayed here for 3 hours before realising I was in the wrong terminal! But glad as terminal 1 departures doesn't have a coffee place. Unhurried atmosphere.

The staff at this Costa Coffee are clearly well trained and capable of dealing with numerous people 'on the move'. An airport coffee shop needs to be able to cope with passing people at good pace and this Costa lives up to the mark. The hot chocolate I had was very good - hot and good flavour. I have had much worse service in High Street branches of this chain, so congratulations to the Manchester Airport staff for a job well done. Service was with a smile and professional and range of food what you would expect from this chain.

Costa Coffee in terminal 3 is the best place to sit back and what the planes take off whilst you wait for your flight. Staff are very good there to.

Fantastic service and food as with all Costa shops. If you want a good cuppa before flying go here. The place is clean and well stocked.

Let's face it terminal 3 has little choice but Costa do not take advantage of that. They are quick and friendly. All your standard fare, down side - need new seating all a bit worn and dirty. Hello to Mrs P, thank you for being a fan.

Standard good coffee fare, rather pricey. Serves giant coffees, not to my liking, but also serves MACCHIATO and my favourte CORTADO.

Nice comfortable place to wait till the boarding gate opens . Staff friendly and seats are ok .. quite a good choice of drinks and cakes .. bit pricey but about the same as most of the places in the airport

We visited today, only had 25 minutes until boarding, but easily fitted in a cup of tea thanks to the well organised and efficient service. Tea was nice and hot, plenty of milk etc so all good here. The only downside was that they were using the telly screen nearest our table to display Costa adverts, rather than the departures board. Seemed a little odd, as everyone in that far had already chosen to purchase in Costa, so no need for the advert. However, everyone in there was waiting for a flight, so there was a need for the departures board. We had to keep taking it turns to go and check the bigger departure boards at the back/just outside the coffee. Not a major issue, just one that could have made the experience even better if they'd just displayed it on the screen so all of us in that area could see and enjoy our drinks rather than keep popping out.

Good service friendly and efficient waiting staff. Comfortable chairs good place to rest and eat whilst on a shopping trip.

New to trip advisor and thought this place deserved a review! Absolutely love it here love spending hours reading or just sitting with my coffee! Lovely coffee lovely staff lovely atmosphere!

Costa coffee is always my first choice and this one didn't disappoint. We just had coffee on this occasion, to while away the waiting time for our flight. Lots of seating and windows to look out onto the tarmac.

Have to say I would recommend the mint chocolate creamy cooler certainly cools you down on a hot day love visiting Costa find it quite pricey though compared to other coffee shops Starbucks is more worth the money

I tried the lion and antelopoe first only to be told breakfast stopped one minute ago. So I came to Costa coffee. They had a very good selection for cooked food and as you would expect fabuluous coffee selection. They were 'Happy to Serve'. I would go again

Its just coffee at the end of the day, nice but expensive.dont get me started on the price of the cakes.
