Costa Coffee in East Riding of Yorkshire

Tables not cleared,have to do it yourself so you can sit down with your drink.overall poor.

Regular spot for me, staff all very lovely and coffee and cakes as good as any other Costa

Staff and coffee very good, but oh my goodness plagued with flies !!! Very unhygienic when eating food.

Was served by 2 lovely colleagues this morning around 10am, they were both really friendly and made my experience really good. Coffee was lovely also👍🏻

Beware of UPSELLING drinks without first been asked here. We were only served 2 small Cappuccinos after my companion specifically stated 'small' for his. Server then says "so that's 1 medium & 1 small cappuccino" Me "2 small Cappuccinos please! I didn't asked for 1 medium & 1 small" 07:10 - 11/07/24

What a fabulous place, only complaint is that the drive thru was closed which was quite annoying as I had to drag the kids into the actual building! Food was nice and hot, scrumptious and drinks were very well made and tasty 🤠

An about average Costa. Not to pleased about the member of staff that was serving me on the till today (10th May around midday) gave me such a dirty look, i was only just half asleep from a rather long trip & i was trying to remember my order. However the other staff where on point & double checking my order. Well done team! 👏

Cheesecake slices were delicious. Staff were polite and efficient rather than friendly. Maybe smile but it could've been a long day 😁

Great overall experience and clean, however there wasn't any hot food options for kids. Want to give an extra thanks to Vanessa who came over and chatted with us when one of the children was upset. She instantly cheered the kids up and was fantastic throughout the time we were there!

The drinks and food in the drive-through are fine, but they try to use the microphone order point as the point where you can your app and pay by card...very awkward!

The service is a bit hit and miss always. But I guess that is what you get with different staff everyday. If they had consistent staff that get to know the customers. It would improve. All that said on this occasion the service was good. Now let's come to the coffee. If only I could get my coffee to taste the same . For 15 years I have had the same coffee a vanilla latte with whole milk. No two cups are ever the same. I thought the whole point of having a coffee franchise was having a similar experience every time!!

Went in for takeaway sandwiches and drinks. Staff seemed in a rush to close despite the posted closing time being 30 min, away had to go to Burger King instead

Been using this Costa since it opened and thought the initial teething issue of a new branch would be sorted by now but they are far from it. Last Sunday I visited with some family and the organisation was horrendous, whoever was manager last Sunday afternoon needs to have a good look at how the staff are used to manage the situation. There were 5 separate customers waiting on drinks, and only one lady making drinks. 2 people were designated to running the machines for drive through although whilst stood waiting they were also stood still with nothing to do. My order was taken and I ordered toast, the toast was made and placed on a tray and was left cooling whilst I was the 6th person waiting on drinks as the lady single handedly was still left on her own. I asked for my toast as it was now getting cold and sat down and eat it without a drink while the wife stood in the queue. By the time my drink came over I'd finished eating. This issue really needs sorting, it was the same when it first opened and is still the same now. The place is good if it quiet but when they get a large queue of people and they're busy they simply don't know how to manage the situation. I'll take my business back to the Anlaby branch from now on.

Pots and plates on every table, a 20 minute queue for 2 coffees, told only serving takeaway cups because no cleans cups, then not one clean table to sit at, 5 staff on

Usual Costa. Had the bacon sandwich with coffee. It's ok as a bacon sandwich, but not worth the full price, got it cheaper with a coffee. They didn't seem to collect left tables and started to build up with used cups, plates and trays. It might have been a peak time of 9 to 10am.

Delay due to staff shortage. 😒. Pain au raisin lovely 😍. How staff are expected to make coffee and clear tables at the same time is unrealistic.

Tasted burnt. Didn't have vanilla when I asked for it. Very disappointed

Flies flies flies!! Blue bottles everywhere absolutely disgusting there is a serious problem in this store!

Fly infestation needs sorting! Went here on the weekend with my family and there were flies everywhere. Kept trying to go onto our food and into the milk bags that were on the side🤮 So unsanitary and disgusting!

Get the flies sorted out.. we know there’s a problem with waste wise landfill being so close up the road, but we may as well be sat on it drinking take outs! The back of the coffee machine was covered and up the walls making our visit unbearable.. think we’ll stick to the drive thru in future

We visit here quite often after a walk from Hull. It's very popular even though it seems a bit out of the way.

Went there on Saturday, there were 5 members of staff (maybe not enough). The queue didn't move for 15 minutes, really hard to see why the service was sub optimal, and tables were full of rubbish from previous customers

Amazing Costa can’t be better great coffee and food.

Only stopped to grab a drink and some croissants but staff were helpful and quick. Was early ish on New Year's day so can't really comment on atmosphere as was very quiet!

I'm not a regular of Costa, I just happened to be in the area with time on my hands. It was 9:20am, and very quiet, so the service was relaxed and there was no queue, although the 2 staff were only half present in the room as they were both also serving people in the drive thru at the same time. The large latte I ordered was both large and latte, although I felt it was lacking in coffee content. I wonder whether a smaller one would have more coffee Vs milk/froth? The seats and tables were clean and comfortable and the background music was relaxing. I made use of the £2 breakfast offer when bought with a hot drink. I was directed to pick one up from the self service bar. This seems a bit naff and not at all friendly to the environment, but obviously enables them to do nearly no good handling, at the cost of jobs and the planet. I also thought the bacon roll was very small. However, as this kind of set up is fairly standard, I can't detract from the trading too much. But, the environmental issues do need to be challenged, hence the 3 star rating. Most of these marks go to the staff as no-one of this is their fault.

Really disappointed arrived at 7 expecting it to be open as online it states it’s open till 8 and was refused entry because they said they were closed

Very disappointing experience ordered 2 frappes both totally flavourless. Mine was meant to be ruby chocolate no sign of any chocolate and no taste of strawberries or raspberries or whatever the ruby was meant to be. The mint choc chip had a slight taste at first but soon became tasteless.

Decent enough place however I wasn't impressed by how the staff sit at tables playing with their phones. This takes up valuable customer seating and doesn't look professional. Surely they must have some sort of staffroom for their downtime? (seating is fairly limited in this branch and so table availability should be taken into account)

Well, coffee ☕ is as good as always, we sat there and watched one staff member clear 7 tables of used cups etc, only issue was, he didn't Wipe any table's with a Cleaner or Sanitizer what's so ever, at the moment I thought that such places should be ensuring the safety of its customers !!!!!!

Sadly having to drink tea because the new soya milk at Costa is unpleasant. Please bring back the Alpro !

Place is near willerby low road. Already plenty of Costa plastic and paper cups thrown in bushes. Shameful.

Soya milk changed and I can now not drink it Very sad, change it back please
