Costa Coffee in Solihull

Dreadful coffee that was so hot it burnt my mouth.Costa is now owned by Coca cola so all profits flow out of the country.

Needed coffee and it did what it should do 😊

The staff were nice, friendly and helpful . I had a medium hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows

Went in for tea and toast. Forgot my toast order so brought the toast over later and it was raw, I asked if it could be toasted more and polite gent did so. Got it back toasted one side but still raw the other. Went to counter, tried to get barristers attention to which she said she was busy and commenced screaming (like balling) for a colleague. Polite gent came over and saw toast was raw and said he would get me another. This one came, raw again. I went to the counter to return it and screaming girl again too busy and just ranted in front of me. Not her fault, they just stick it in the machine (ever tried turning the bread over mid way?) she continued to rant and then finally realised her customer service skills and served me politely and gave me a refund. If you want to know which barrister, one of her rants is she wasn’t meant to be in that day. Really poor Costa, expected better.

Visited today for a Carmel frapp and dion (think that’s her name) was a delight. Watching her serve the customers whilst I waited for my drink put a smile on my face

Vegan options on the drinks but no food options apart from cakes which are lovely but very expensive for what you get.

Coffee is OK, service, the girl are a bit forgetfull, as you wait for your order you get some of what you asked for, but when you remind then they are quick to react. Also always over fill your cup so you will spill it...

Staff polite and friendly...coffee made to my order and very tasty . In a nice enough spot with outdoor seating too.

Shops in Mell Square have had a rearrangement since some of the photos were taken: Costa is still there, but tucked away in one corner. There is still access to outdoor benches and tables in the middle of the square.

Recently Visited this Costa branch. There was 4 of us and we had all accumulated vouchers on our Costa coffee app which needed using up. Dion was very patient in carring out our transactions and making our mango frappe. The coffee shop was incredibly busy and it was hot! But Dion kept her cool. Thank you very much Dion for a pleasant experience.

The food was excellent and the service was quick, friendly & professional. The tables needed clearing but it was lunchtime. Was great and we'd missed it.

Small frontage with tables and chairs outside but inside has great depth, so plenty of seating available. A good breakfast or light lunch menu. Huge array of coffees, teas and cold drinks such as smoothies and iced coffee.

Amazing service !! - gentlemen (sounded Australian) took the order with a smile and offered to bring food and drink you the table. Was a very warm day so also brought over a glass of cold water and ice for ‘hydration’. Going above and beyond is not that common anymore. And he did this. Thanks 👍🏼

I like that's it's a bit out of the way. Service usually quicker than most other Costa and up to usual standards.

Had to ask for the toast to be done again as it was only cooked on one side .Then we were told that we had to pay 10p for an extra butter

Called into Costa coffee in Solihull for Morning coffee they serve a lovely blend of coffee the staff are very friendly and helpful situated in the situated in the centre of Solihull also offers a good section of cakes and pastries Well worth a visit.

Visited this place previously and have been quite pleased with service and coffee but earlier this week we were served by a young lady who seemed quite miserable. No smile, thank you, good morning. Maybe she was having a bad morning but you can't be like that in the hospitality business. The coffee served was weak and not piping hot as expected. I will go again as this WAS a one off hopefully.

Coffee machines and kitchen area was filthy. Service was slow. The whole shop seems worn out and generally not very clean. The latte is very expensive and not a lot of it. Won't be returning.

Busier than I thought it would be but good all the same

I had a good experience at this cost the other afternoon,the staff were friendly and they made a great coffee.

Coffee was good but couldn't use the toilet again.

We come here sometimes at the weekends. Bad points - absolutely packed all the time. Hard to find a table. Staff is not very welcoming. Air condition is on full blast most of the time and it could be really cold. Coffee is ok if they manage to do it right. Not very relaxing atmosphere. Good points .... hmm hardly to find one, but i love Costa coffee and this is the only reason we are coming back.

Place was filthy with rubbish on the floor filthy floors we were sat next to a kitchen door propped open, everywhere is in need of a deep clean

Saturday afternoon very busy but with 5 staff members behind the desk we had to queue 25 mins just for coffee takeaway. Staff unhelpful and tired/lazy. When asked for suggestions regarding syrups member of the staff spinned eyes and looked very annoyed.

I'm sitting in Costa with my wife and whilst trying to enjoy my coffee one of the workers decides to sweep dirt and dust mop the floors leaving them soaked and spray chemicals all over the tables. At the same time leaving spray bottles all over the place with kids about. No wet floor signs. The after using her hand to wipe debris off the seats goes and makes people's food and drinks without cleaning her hand. No coshh awareness no food hygiene no respect for customers that do not wish to have a serving of chemicals with their drink and food. Leaving brooms mop and bucket lying around. What are they taught here. Very disappointed.

Had to queue for 15 minutes to get served. Coffee was fantastic as usual. Tables we not cleared. Toilet has leaked and floor was flooded. Not the usual experience from this place.

Usually we meet up with our family and friends here for breakfast and a chat. We do eat and stay for an hour, during our visit we use the restroom of the café. Our food and drinks were okay, but the toilets were absolutely awful 😖 😱 one was flooding of urine, and the pan was dirty while the disabled one had no paper and something was floating in the pan. We won't be coming back. There are other cafes in the area with clean restrooms.

I have tried to contact this branch to discuss why my child and her friends were asked to leave. The worker said they had not purchased any items, when they told her they had she then said they were taking up 2 tables and other customers were waiting, they had literally just purchased their drinks and sat down. They had come in for a drink just like other customers, Is this how you treat your paying customers? Just because they are young people it does not give you the right to discriminate against them. She also asked another table of young people to leave too so it seems there is a common theme going on Poor customer service.

Haven't been to Costa in years. And forgot how nice it is. Friendly staff, and chill atmosphere.

What can be said about Costa that hasn't already been said. It sells average coffee and OK prices.

I ordered an iced latte which they forgot about and I waited for quite awhile and then I needed to use the bathroom and it was locked?

Toilets out of order and have been for a month. When going for a coffee with Children this is needed

Busy but quick to serve. Good service. But husband had to leave his lunch to visit another coffee shop to use a toilet. Not good.

First visit to the re-sited Mell square Costa and very pleasantly surprised. Great service, friendly and efficient, huge selection of cakes and pastries, the coffee was probably better than that from my usual Costa branch. Definitely one to visit again.

Very friendly staff, polite and professional. Place is clean and tidy. Went in on a Wednesday thinking it closes at 7:30pm, but the times have apparently been updated....Closes at 6pm

Great price because of the 50p deal and great experience although the toffee spiced hot chocolate was not something I would like to drink again.

Standard Costa fare. Nothing wrong, nothing special.

Chain, overpriced get yourself to Blackroot Bistro, Mocha or the one on Clarence Road. Even cafe Nero also a chain but much nicer.

Service was as usual. Had to wait ages in the queue though.

Really friendly staff catered for us with a pushchair when it was busy. Very quick to clean down tables and even topped up the soap when I told them there was none in the loo

Lovely staff. Covid-19 safe. Somebody was constantly looking after the queue and monitoring the tables, making sure nobody queue jumped.

From time when I bought better espresso machine and proper grinder and fresh coffee beans Costa coffee not taste for me anymore.

They have moved to 35 Mill Lane in Mell Square. The old Central Cafe building will be demolished. Still a long queue. Next door to Marks & Spencer.
