We had a minor problem with our meal. We did not complain, but the server noticed that we were not completely happy. He insisted that we had free desserts. I use this place regularly, and don't recognise the pub mentioned in the negative reviews.

we went there in 4 families, with children between 3 and 13. our 1st confrontation, was when we explained to the lady of the establishment Claire, that a glass was dirty and chipped. to which she said "it wasn't like that before" and proceeded to pour the coke from that glass into another. round 2 came when a plate with a roast dinner on came with dried red sauce on it. the manager Dave came to the table and proceeded to scrape the food onto a clean plate and comment," well the food is ok isn't it?" and laugh with his regulars at the bar. the final straw came when a female teenager in our group was offered "a joint" by a boy outside. he walked in, went to the bar and laughed. we paid and left. dirty, vile, disgusting, back street pub. do not visit.

We recently hired the Coach House for our son's christening party. They closed the pub completely for us so we had the run of the place and provided a great hog roast as a meal for our guests. The price was very reasonable and the management and staff were really helpful from the booking right through to looking after us on the day - couldn't recommend them more highly.

Stumbled upon The Coach House after a days shopping and was drawn to the front beer garden with by wonderful floral displays, Clean and tidy and was welcomed with a smile by friendly bar staff, Good price drinks with a good selection of offers for all tastes and a food menu that spoils you for choice.Food arrived with in ten minutes and again served with a smile, Generous portions and for the price it was exceptional value, There is not many places you can get good service and good food/drinks with a value price tag attached to it but this place has that and its a bonus to be able to sit in such wonderful surroundings. We will have to visit on the evening too as there also seemed to have many things going on with a late bar and we even noticed you can book a FREE party on site for the weekends not sure how it works but for free it might be worth checking out for my 50th soon.

First visit after a busy day shopping. Great menu selection, and good value for money. Relaxed but buzzy atmosphere. Centrally located with outdoor space. Lots of offers so quite easy to stay longer than you intend, best leave the car at home. Manager very hands on and likes to welcome his customers. Had a little mix up with an order but all sorted professionally with no hassle and a free drink :)Have a look at their website, one of the few to publish a food allergy menu to ensure customers are taken care off. Nice touch.Look forward to next visit.

Decided to make the most of the gorgeous weather and get lunch with some friends. Went to the coach as it's one of the few places in Solihull with a decent beer garden and had a brilliant time! Shared chilli topped nachos as a starter, they were lush!!! Fajitas for my main, really nice but unfortunately had no room for dessert, next time might share the fajitas as there's easily enough for 2! One of my mates had the 3 courses for £5.75 and said it was blinding value for money. BOGOF deal on the cocktails meant I left fat, full and slightly puddled. Will definitely be going back!!

Harrystg we can tell it's such a lie about a rat being outside, manager high on drugs, and being racist I'm sorry but I go to this pub regularly and am treated very well and is probably the cleanest pub in Solihull people please ignore the review from harrystg as what he has said is a load of rubbish and you will be greeted and treated very well if you don't believe me go and check it out yourselves.

I visited the coach house the other day with my family, we were greeted straight away which was nice, we had starters and a main course, both were amazing food! The staff were more than helpful, and came and checked on us during both courses, I would recommend going here any time, such a good atmosphere and such nice staff!

First let me say that I am very fussy - I prefer to go out less and spend more. However my 2 sisters were coming to Solihull from Worcs and Kent to meet up with the rest of our family for a pre Christmas meet up and present swapping. We went here last year for the same thing. Nth pub has had a bit of a makeover since. There was 13 of us. We had reserved a table and unlike lots of these types of establishments the tables were clean, plenty of condiments and the cutlery was spotless. We ordered 13 drinks (10 non alcoholic) and various meals, from a chicken dipper bucket thingy for the 7 year old, soup and sandwiches, sausage and mash, BLTs, pie and chips etc to an 8oz sirloin (my son ordered this) which was more tender and tastier than I have had in "better" restaurants. You could have a dessert too for only an extra £1. We finished off with 4 more soft drinks, a glass of wine and 2 coffees. Total bill was just over £120. Staff were great, helpful and cheerful. Hopefully we will all see you next year too!!!

I have to say I have eaten and drank at this place on several occasions and have always found the food and the service fine. I have had the Christmas Menu before and it was superb value and well cooked. Can't really find fault in this place, good outdoor area, good food, clean toilets and decent Staff!

Stopped by here for a bite to eat and a catchup with an old work friend - as something of tradition for us as all our work functions used to be held here. The pub has had a bit of a makeover and it has a great covered area outside and lots of seating, with new furniture inside and 'interesting' decor (big screen tvs constantly playing advertisements/screensavers for drinks and a garish neon light behind the bar, contrast with an unexplainable abundance of framed pictures on the wall) some of which was quite distracting. At lunchtime the place was filled with pensioners making the most of the bargain menu. However the ads for 'fishbowls' and other drinks offers clearly indicate that the place caters to a younger crowd.Staff were approachable and friendly. However both my friend and I ended up with £7 of change after individually paying for our drinks with £10 notes, given the location of this pub (central Solihull near to several banks) and the number of available staff I don't think it would've been difficult to get a new float. We ordered a veggie burger and cheese on toast. Both arrived together and we didn't have to wait long. The cheese on toast was far too cheesey and subsequently made the toast soggy. But you do get a generous portion. The burger looked fresh and was served with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise in a ramikin. The chips didn't look so great and were a bit 'old' looking (brown and soggy).Condiments and sauces were brought to the table with our cutlery.Food was ok for the price. Both my friend and I found there to be almost too much choice on the menu (and this was excluding the Specials menu!) And the menu layout wasn't the best - bit too colourful and busy.Obviously this place does well and has many regulars judging from the thoroughfare on a rainy Monday afternoon but I suspect this is due to the competitive prices and offers.I'd return here for a drink or casual meal but given the other options in the vicinity it wouldn't be my first choice.

Great food, good choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Great relaxed place to eat at any time. Went here for lunch and sat outside as the weather was good. Even though it was very busy, the food arrived quickly and was very hot. In the past we have had works leaving parties, birthdays and Christmas dinner here, always happy with the food and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Next thing to try is Sunday lunch - will be trying this very soon!

Chilled out week day evenings and livelier events for the weekend evenings. Children's menu available also. My favourite pub/restaurant in the area...
