Leeah was amazing will definatly visit again she made us both feel very welcomed and offered some gd items!!

Food was amazing, husband is autistic and funny with food, leeah serve us and helped us order his safe foods and we were all able to eat out together with our friends definately be back to try everything on the menu

Throughly disappointed. I use to love coming to jamaya however tonight's food and service was disappointing. I think they are under new management. Won't be coming back you lost a loyal customer tonight 👎 back to turtle bay

Pretty solid food at reasonable prices with 2 for 1 cocktails and mocktails from 5 till 8. Fair value for money, especially given how nice the food was, our party tried bits across the menu. Spice wise, the hot isn't super hot (at least to my palate) so you won't be burned to a crisp. Did have a couple of issues though, two dishes and two drinks weren't available (didn't have the ingredients in) and the one cocktail. The décor is interesting, but folks at our table banged their heads on pans and such over the table when getting up. Staff were friendly enough, and apologised for late dishes or unavailable items, but didn't look to be loving life. One thing that was disappointing was that the loos were rather grim. No paper in the gents and stalls were very grotty. One of the folks in our party went to the loos in the centre instead. So, decent food but a few negatives sadly.

Group of 10 of us ate here yesterday, I personally have been a good few times but yesterday was the first time I experienced the Sunday lunch and wow was it worth it!! Absolutely gorgeous and the service was 10/10, definitely improved since the last times I’ve been and the manager was so lovely! Only thing I would like to see is the drink sizes increasing. For what you pay for a cocktail, I think you should be getting a lot more than a little wine glass full, especially when the rum punch tastes that good! Other than that, I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back for Sunday lunch again!

Always give credit where it’s due. Ashley the manager was very accommodating. The music is top notch, even at 9pm the food was nice and hot and flavourful. With plenty of options in this centre, As a Londoner a lot of London establishments could take note from here. I will most certainly be back.

I used to love Jamayas so much! Me and bae always come here and it never fails to satisfy us. The vibes are amazing and so is the service. As a fellow jamaican the music is the best. The food is halal too which is good since there is barely any halal options in Solihull. The food always comes out at a quick pace which is really convenient; however, it seems everytime we’ve come here recently they change the menu for the worst. Don’t get me wrong, the food is delicious but recently it hasn’t been up to standard. They changed our favourite mango drink to still rubicon mango- we could’ve went to the shop and bought this ourselves, for £6 a glass too? Crazy. We’ve also noticed that the cleanliness of the restaurant isn’t the best anymore- there’s always saucy finger marks on the sauce bottles and the cutlery isn’t as clean. They’ve also changed their recipes so many times and it just doesn’t hit the same anymore. I don’t think we’ll be coming back, but if we do hopefully things are back to how they used to be :(

Amazing place. The young lady who waited on us was simply amazing. It was our anniversary and we were treated extra special too.

Wont be visiting again, it was my first and last time of visiting. Me and my partner had the fried chicken burger which after already eating half I noticed both of the burgers were extremely pink so the manager offered to make me a fresh one which I decided to try and this turned out the same. After this I no longer had an appetite for the meal so I boxed it up which I threw away as soon as I got home We and my partner have since been extremely poorly with food poisoning. Very disappointing

Visited for food with 4 other people. Waited 30 minutes for a table, service and drinks took a while. Tried to get staffs attention and were ignored they did not make you feel welcome. Food was hot and tasty. Chicken was tender with plenty of sauce. I had the jam chicken and rice at £13.50. Overall food was good, the Birmingham restaurant is better, if you get chance to try it.

First time here staff talked us through the menu which we liked and his recommendations, well I decided to take his advice and I wasn't disappointed 100% loved the food , highly recommend here definitely going back .

Food and cocktails were lovely and amazing service from Laura and Naomi they both looked after me and my friends very well.

We went for lunch in the week and we had the two lunch menu deals. The veggie option was really nice. The side of rice and peas was really yummy and hot, would definitely recommend if you like rice. The portion of half chicken was a great size! The waitress Shauna was so smiley and polite and attentive. There were other diners in the restaurant, it wasn't overly busy and the food came out quickly. Really worth a visit!

Relaxing and casual meal with attentive staff. Good food as always. Fairly priced. My booking was easily done online; my request for a particular type of table (booth) was given exactly as asked, and the welcoming staff member noted it has been seen; and the attentiveness of the waitresses throughout the meal was spot on. First time at Jamaya Solihull and woah what an amazing experience. Turtle Bay watch out Jamaya gonna shut you down. Anyway Laura and Ella were very atte rive even when the place got packed out. Cocktails was extra strong. 6 between 2 people lasted all night.

Without doubt, the highlight of our visit to Touchwood! The food is simply amazing and washed down with draft Red Stripe beer adds up to a first class experience. Highly, recommended.

Really really tasty food. We had the buffalo chicken wings with jerk gravy which was phenomenal. We also had the 1/2 jerk chicken and the coconut jerk chicken breast stew which were both good. We also enjoyed their Perfectly crisped chips and interesting mocktails. The staff were friendly and helpful and the overall vibe was nice. Will definitely be coming back for those wings

I traveled to Solihull for work and was super excited to see a nearby place with jerk chicken. Served by Ella, who kindly answered my questions about spice levels, portion sizes, and plantain sweetness, I ate some lovely proper jerk chicken, fried plantains, and fries. The chicken was moist and the jerk seasoning was delicious. And the fried plantains - yum! Side bonus, drinks were 2 for 1 between 5-8pm. We have a local office here and lots of visitors coming so I'm definitely adding Jamaya to our Solihull site guide so that my colleagues can discover it as well.

Very nice food and the staff are very nice

Food was lovely, staff were good but would be nice if they could wait for the whole table to finish before clearing plates (there was only 4 of us so not like had lots to clear), it felt like they were rushing us out at the end. Tables are also a little close together so when we were eating the waitress taking the order for the next table stood with her back to us very close so made it uncomfortable. Overall nice though.

Had some time to kill and we was hungry and after looking at all the options in touchwood solihull we settled here. Its lovely bright open atmosphere and Superb hosting skills from when we entered. We asked for the hosts favourite foods and went with their choices. I personally had the chicken wrap and says on menu it Was all grilled with choice of spice etc and I went for the hottest altho it was tasty I felt the food all came out a tad too quick and was not spicy n when I hadn't even received my drink order. Chicken didn't look very grilled but again was still a tasty meal and the youngest loved her chicken tenders and loved the sauce. Overall we wud defo visit again as the staff know their stuff and are happy, informative and enjoy their their work. Was a lovely chill evening :D

Will not be returning 17/06/24 To this place again I have been a regular to this place but will not be coming back as the worker here is so rude for no reason at all we didn’t even order our food and she was rushing us to order and became sarcastic when I asked if wings come as a meal she opened the menu and pointed at the sides saying It’s right there obnoxious and rude for no reason if you don’t like your job please leave do not take your mood onto the public

Wow. Never had Jamacan food before and was amazed at the flavour. I asked waitress (Laura) to feed me !!!!!!! Laura brought me I asked Ella for a surprise cocktail, Ella served a Kingston Redhills ........ I was surprised at how the food tasted .........I had Brown stewed chicken, rice n peas and steamed veg [ wow] Quiet night as Euros were on ..... Great music, great staff and amazing cocktail and wow...... the food...........didn't get chef's names ...... I will be back, when back in Solihull.

Table booked for 5.30pm; order taken about 20-25 minutes later which was not a problem as my companion and I had lots to catch up on; food comes about 20 minutes later, still no problem. The problem begins when a waitress interrupts me 2/3 of the way through my meal and only 60 minutes after sitting down to let us know we only have 30 minutes left. Absolutely shocking behaviour and totally unacceptable. I could understand it if we had finished eating and was loitering. Will not be going back in a hurry.

Really good food, excellent service but just a little too loud for me personally, couldn't hardly hear each other talking.

Honestly as a Jamaican myself I tell you now I was at home with sweet reggae music to set the vibe the service was perfect and the food my lord my palate of flavours just exploded and I was in my own world. Honestly and I'm picky with my food but this was like proper yard style food for Jamaican food good proper food got to come

I recently visited Jamay's Jamaican Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the jerk chicken wrap, and it was incredibly tasty—the flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced. First time here and really enjoyed it. Special shout out to Kate who served us and dealt with my brother in law very well- he was a little drunk. Food was delicious, especially the cheesy chips which Kate recommended ( apparently as I didn't get to try them).The men ordered chicken wings not realising they weren't a starter so when everything came out at once there was no room on the table. My only criticism would be that I ordered an apple juice and it was warm! Otherwise 100%. We will be back ( without the brother in law)

We have been going to Jamaya (Touchwood, Solihull) since it opened. I wanted to let the daughter try something 'Caribbean' inspired. I am Trini🇹🇹 born & bred. Obviously, it cannot compare to what your mammy used to cook!. But Jamaya is the next best thing around here😋. We love it. We visit when we can afford to splash out a little. Daughter now prefers Jamaya instead of the other Chicken shop across the way!🤣. The mocktails are lovely. Have yet to try the cocktails but they sound yum! The food is scrumptious - I always order more than I can eat, cause then I can have a 'takeaway'( eyes always bigger than my belly!😆😂. Highly recommend the Bob Marley burger- extra hot( but if you're from the Caribbean, you would probably like it hotter- I do!). Festivals we always take home. Fried wings with jerk gravy😋😋😋😋😋 jerk cheesy fries😋😋😋😋😋, rice & peas😋😋😋😋😋, Mac & cheese 😋😋😋😋😋. We visited on mommy's day- the only negative was- the rum & raisin ice cream portion was very small & just looked like it had been the end of the tub🤷🏻‍♀️- but small issue. Staff always friendly, always helpful, even though they are busy. Atmosphere lovely. Decor lovely. It was good to see how busy it was on mommy's day. I hope to try the roast dinners- it looks scrummy😋 Overall- 10* £71.75 for 2 people

It was busy, and there were only 2 waiters, and they did their best, so i can't complain. The food was outstanding.

Went for the wife’s birthday at 2pm. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food were marvellous and cocktails spot on. Sana especially helpfully and friendly. Food was fantastic, thanks to Panashe the chef.

It’s a shame to write this because I’ve been here several times. I came 16th March and ordered the stew chicken. When It came it was luke warm so I sent it back. When the waiter brought it back to me (4 mins later) it was piping hot… clearly microwaved However the following day, turns out I have food poisoning… only you can explain why this happened? I will not be returning as there is clearly a poor practice with the preparing and cooking of food. I am so annoyed and dissapointed!

I went to Jamaya a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t have had a better experience. Not only was the food great, but I was served by a lovely lady called Maise. This girl is a huge credit to your team, she made us feel so welcome and comfortable the second she approached us. Plus , if it wasn’t for her I’d probably still be there choosing what to have !!

Absolutely fantastic! From start to finish the service was 10/10! The food was flavourful! I’m a black guy with Jamaican parents and I can say this 100% lived up to expectations! None of this frozen food business or reheated food or even so called jerk. This is the proper stuff! Jerk was beautiful and flavourful! Wings banging! Fried chicken very nice! Festival crunchy and sweet! Everything was banging! Big shout out to Shaunah you are an absolute superstar! 10/10 service! Recommended a banging punch which mash me up at the end of the night! lol Thank you for you service! Can’t wait to come again.

Gorgeous service from shaunah. Efficient, lovely and attentive. Food was great, so tasty, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so tasty.

Won’t be returning, food was a big let down. The hottest jerk level was mild and sweet, the portions were insufficient and the chicken was dry, the kids burger could’ve been finished in three bites it was so small. It wouldn’t be so much of an issue if the prices weren’t so high. If you want authentic Caribbean this isn’t the place to go.

I was disappointed with the meal, it was lukewarm and the rice and peas side dish was very dry and I needed to ask for some gravy. The soft drinks are overpriced and limited choice.

I am surprised I never tried this place before, even though I come to touchwood a million times a month. It has amazing food and lovely cocktails. The star of the show were the staff. They were so lovely. We had a great time. Will definitely be going there again!

Ordered with a few of my mates and the customer service of the waitress that served us and took the order was good. Food was nice, hearty portion and tasted nice. Would defo visit again and try something new purely because of the food, customer service and atmosphere.

Amazing relaxing place with great food. I actually finished all of what I ordered and I don't normally finish food in restaurants lol jamaya was introduced to me by my friends 9yr old son & we were extremely impressed with the food, staff & over all atmosphere of the restaurant. We had a fantastic night & definitely will be back.

I'm hesitant to share this review, as I've been a patron of this restaurant for years and previously had positive experiences. Unfortunately, over the past two months, the quality has declined. During my last visit, I struggled to grab the waitress's attention, and my daughter and I completed our meal without satisfaction. When questioned about our experience, I mentioned that the Brown Stew and Chicken wrap fell short of the usual standard—scanty chicken and excessively dry. The waitress explained they had a new chef, apologized, and extended a 10% discount.

Food was great ! Just shocked when bill came and my son had 2 large glasses of coke @£6 a glass !!! It used to be unlimited soft drinks but now £12 for 2 cokes ! Such a shame as food and service was great but will be my last visit due to outrageous price for kids soft drink ( pint of red stripe is £5.50 )
