Really funny place to get a coffee You ask for cappuccino and you get late Then don’t do good coffee they just have the name Costa nothing else

The staff are not proper baristas. The environment is dusty and dirty. I't didn't feel like Coata the staff ruin the brand and need training. There are no hygiene in toilet's. The place needs new design and furniture its so old.

I love the vegan ham and cheese sandwich and the coffee at Costa Coffee, but only one single vegan food options is actually very sad

We arrived at 6.45pm to be told all the indoor seating will be closed at 7pm even though the website says 7.30pm close. The reasoning was they had to clean and shut the shop. I do not think that management would agree with this stance. Put that you close at 7pm on the website if that is the case. This occurred with two male staff members on 5/2/25 @ 6.45pm.

POOR HYGIENE! 🤮🤮 Literally saw their employee spray water on the windows using his bare fingers + water in a pot instead of a bottle with actual cleaning product (and maybe wear gloves to clean the windows ….) and then wipe the whole thing with the newspaper. He was even confronted by a customer whom he blatantly ignored and carried on. I didn’t see him wash his hands when he went back inside either … Reassuring regarding Health & Safety 🤢 Also, they hardly had any stock and it’s only 12pm, on a Thursday. No still water, no regular coke, only one orange juice left … For obvious reasons, I’m not touching their food or handmade drinks…. No apology either or any type of customer service. The vibe feels like a jail. It’s cold, uninviting and a bit messy. I appreciate it’s Finsbury Park but it’s also a place of business with paying customers ….

Doesn’t even worth 1 star, dirty, filthy, bad customer service, even the coffee taste doesn’t meet normal Costa standards, not a great place at all.

Not proper baristas. They will ruin the brand and need training. I didn't get a good feeling then saw a couple return with their order. Cappuccino had far to much milk, then I was challenged by staff as if I don't know what a Cappuccino is meanwhile I have a whole Costa App. Too expensive to get this wrong...

Came in to get a drink and needed to use the bathroom. Shubham was so friendly and helpful, he was such an awesome person to be served from!

Situated on a very busy street opposite the tube station. Small store with all the usual Costa facilities. Think we must have visited when there were new staff as they didn't understand us (we're English 😉) and they didn't know the products but we got sorted in the end.

Absolutely filthy toilet with napkins as toilet paper, flies everywhere, state of it and charging to use it. Under filled drink too.

Most run down dirty Costa I've ever been in. Plus the toilet is out of order. As others have said, it seems to be frequented by the homeless. Avoid this Costa at all costs.

This place is one of the best costa’s I have been to. The atmosphere the drinks are 10/10. Staff are very friendly and they keep it clean ALWAYS. I go there every morning to grab a coffee to go because they don’t keep you waiting

Disgusting, the shop was dirty and there were flies in the cake section. My latte was making with the wrong milk had to throw it away.

The downstairs area was closed, which resulted in very limited seating. The coffee shop was very busy, but the drinks were up to Costa standards and it was an enjoyable experience.

I see flyer in the sweet area. I was thinking of buying lemon muffin, but i changed my mind. The employee they argued in front of customers.

Poor English speaking servers and had to repeat several times. No toilet facilities working and a drunk vagrant sleeping in the corner whom they didn't even try to remove.

Unfortunately, this branch of Costa suffers from where it is and who frequents it. Or is a hub for local drug dealers and users, both inside and outside. The toilets are used by both, as well as by homeless people, and are filthy. They have a small selection of food, and the trays on display are often empty. The local plod who so also get their refs there should step up and do something about the non-paying 'customers' and shenanigans both in and out. It's difficult to say something positive about the place, but the staff do try, and for that they should be given credit.

Avoid, It’s more Trap-House than Coffee-House. It’s over-run with homeless and addicts who shoot up and smoke crack in the toilets. Not sure how Costa let this branch get so bad. The community and area would be better off without it. I’d rather see a needle exchange in its place… the coffee would probably be better there too.

Costa coffee has always been a big part of being in the area and has always been ideal for me grabbing my coffees before work or spending a little quiet time and daydreaming out the window. One thing I've always been really impressed with is the level of service I've always received from the staff and seen them deliver to others. I have seen for myself being a customer in the last 3 months of going, “Wally” and his team have really improved the place. Before the toilets used to be dirty, unhygienic, the chairs were smelly. Under Wallys supervision and his great Costa team you can see that they really care about making a great change! Top Baristas and top team! It's always a pleasure being in this Costa Thank you so much for all the great service and i can't recommend enough!

I got a flat white and i must say the barista that made my drink was excellent, very professional, so welcoming and knowledgeable, giving me different options and varieties regarding alternative milks and a variety of syrups to customise my drink to me. Her name was Bursu and management definitely deserve to hear her amazing efforts!!

The staff was so lovely and professional, especially in the face of the stress they have to face all the time. There's locals that keep coming in, taking up space and causing havoc without buying anything. The place is extremely noisy and chaotic because of that, and doesn't feel safe. Constant fights and sound of breaking glass right outside the door. Shame on whoever manages the place for putting the three poor women in a position of holding this place together against 15+ chaotic men. Either put a couple of security guards in the place or close it down. At least pay the hard working baristas triple.

The 2 costa coffee place's I have been to.They must recycle the tea bags. The tea in costa coffee is undrinkable and for the price of £2/50 a cup.Never ever again.

Very bad in there..lots of drug dealers meet & do business, even rolling joints inside premises. The toilets are filthy dirty & staff are too busy talking to friends to concentrate on their jobs. Definitely will avoid this place!

Spectacular customer service by 3 employees. It was my first time going to Finsbury Park Costa and it will be the one I continue to go because of the superb customer service by Yasmin, Shadi and Bersu. Friendly and incredibly helpful; their manager should hear of their outstanding treatment towards customers & reward them for such!

3 amazing staff members made my entire experience. Out of all Costa coffe shops I’ve been to Finsbury parks Costa would be the best I’ve been because of Yasmin, Shadi and Bersu. The following stuff members not only warmly welcomed me, lovely and patient but went absolutely above and beyond for me; thus created Incredible customer service. I strongly believe they should get raise and rewarded for their work. Thank you to those 3 brilliant workers for all they done for me.

WORST, the worst coffee shop ever and highly disappointed on the fact it’s Costa which it’s meant to be a good shop but the staff are rude and blunt and nothing is clean. Hygiene 0/10 staff 0/10 and the barista did not know what she was doing and panicked on machine and STILL served the coffee. This Shop Needs A Change.

OMG where to start. This place is dirty. The toilets are hideous. Vomit outside by the seats. A massive problem here are the people sitting outside who treat the place like a club. They don't buy anything, often there are no seats for customers. I've seen dealing often. I can smell cannabis frequently. They beg for tobacco and become aggressive when refused. I've contacted Costa many times about this with no response. I love my community and I'm sick to the back teeth with this place. It's a sore on the high street. I'm now filming evidence which I'll be passing onto the council. I'm not the only local person who is fed up.

Just moved nearby and been here three times. First time, they overcharged me by about £2. The lady I was talking to was new and didn’t understand why, so after about five minutes I just gave up and paid it. Second time they’d run out of both hot chocolate and all teas. Third time I waited ten minutes and then had to remind them that I’d ordered a drink. Usually in there for ten minutes or so to grab a drink on the way to work. I’ve just not got time in the mornings to give them an fourth chance.

I would avoid this costa coffee, terrible experience. Ordered from this place on a few different occasions through Deliveroo, I don't think any one of the orders I received was correct - constantly being sent incorrect items that don't fit under the same dietary requirements at all. I'd rather receive nothing than pay for food I can't eat! Don't list items you don't have!

Possibly one of the worst branches where the staff are not actually professional or polite. Non customers frequent the toilets and outside seating areas, but it's doubtful if the staff even witness this whilst they stand gossiping at less busy times.

Great store. The manager or supervisor is very helpful. I had a bakewell tart, and it was hard. Was the last one. But she change it for another cake. Selection is great staff are all nice.

Absolutely poor service and the worst costa coffee shop I have ever been to for a number of reasons: -Poor barista skills -They are never able to hear your orders properly. -Rude and always rolling their eyes - Staff not well trained as when ordering hot food it's always cold inside and not warmed up properly. - Hot drinks are warm and not hot - Drinks that are supposed to be cold are warm from the brewed coffee. -The environment is always dirty and smelling bad - I have seen them on a number of occasions talking over orders whilst making them. Not professional at all and only gave one star because I had too otherwise no stars.

Everytime I come to Costa Coffee Finsbury Park, I always receive great service from the team. Romina and Maria and all of the crew always greet me with a smile and ask about my day. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to stop by for a coffee and a chat.

This company are not professional and do not train their staff at all and instead helping staff they do exactly the opposite. Absolute rip off merchants. They just tried to charge me £30 for a certified copy of my passport. Going rate is £5 round the corner. Thieves!

Used toilet here today, cannot believe how disgusting, dirty, mold and grims it was. There was a broken light is hanging on ceiling right on top of toilet that is very hazard it can electrocute anyone. Broken switch hanging on the side aswell. Floor is wet, not sure if it was flooded, water spill or urine and dirty tissue and mud footprints everywhere. Staffs look like toilet isn't their business or toilet doesnt exist in their mind. I think i saw homeless women used the toilet coming out today. She must of spent while in there. I wished i taken some pictures today but I was too busy stressing out and afraid my clothes touching the dirty floor. Costa what has happen to you?? Where are the management teams? Should they not be concern about this??

On my visit to Costa I had a very nice Cappuccino and a Cake. Reasonably priced and polite Staff

I happened to walk into Costa at Finsbury Park. My usual favourite place to grab a Caramel Iced Latte or a Coconut Vanilla Latte, yes I love a good latte. I saw a sign for hiring and at the time was looking for work. I thought what an amazing opportunity as I had thought about it on many occasions. The process was simple, after handing in my information I was asked to do a trial shift. This was fun getting to experience behind the scenes and also I was excited to learn about all the coffee making.... It really is all about team work as there are quite a few stations and lots of things to remember. The location is ideal for commuters as it is right outside of the station. This means lots of busy people but also quieter times which is a nice balance. Overall I can say my experience has been positive. Lorena :)

I ordered a herbal tea. Barista already had hot water sitting in a teapot and left the teabag on the tray. I politely asked her if she could empty the pot , put the teabag in first then pour in the water. She told me that is not what they do, ignored me and walked away. I took a sip and left the rest as it was just hot water. The woman who served me was rude and there really was no need for that. I will not be visiting this place again.

I went to this costa today and I felt sick. It stank. Is it a shelter for all the local homeless?? Because they were all there sleeping. Their chairs were all dirty and stained. Absolute filth. Staff need to be proactive and monitor the shop. Never again will I go here again.

in 2020 and early 2021 the place was nice. Since new staff there it's really rubbish. Its so loud staff can't hear your orders. Its a bit busy place but why not have 2 barristers doing the drinks. Don't like the new staff sorry that's my opinion. Every time I'm trying to buy a drink it's cold or made not nice. even asking for extra hot or something. Bring back previous staff from summer 2020 the girls as team where amazing. always polite and smiling.

Can anyone from Costa please tell me if there are plans to reopen this particular branch of costa? This happens to be right on my doorstep and yet I walk past there most days but yet the place is a. empty shell and I refuse to use the Finsbury Park branch as the atmosphere around the shop inside and out it not very nice at all and would much prefer to go to this one at Stroud Green as this area is a lot nicer then Finsbury Park.
