Food was really yummy. Portions were quite small however and the slowestttt service. 70mins between our starters arriving and our mains arriving. Paired with the small portion left me leaving hungry I would have ordered another main but didn't fancy waiting another hour plus+ bought food on the way home which is not ideal after eating out

Amazing food and all very quick. Peachy served us and was patient even if we arrived super late close to closing time. Peachy was very attentive and making sure we had everything we needed.

We six people walked in and the lady at the reception was vey kind and professional. Immediately she brought us to the table. The food tasted very authentic. We enjoyed the sticky rice with curry a lot.

Esta fue solo mi segunda visita a Thai Square - la primera vez en 2018 estaba muy decepcionado con mi plato vegetariano, así que cuando se tomó la decisión de comer aquí de nuevo me mostré escéptico, pero dispuesto a probarlo de nuevo. Esta vez elegí el Penang Curry con gambas y arroz al vapor con jazmín, mientras que todos los demás comieron carne. Desafortunadamente creo que mi comida estaba sentada esperando mientras mis compañeros cocinaban platos y me presentaron un plato tibio. Si hubiera estado solo lo habría puesto en conocimiento del personal, no tan fácil cuando todos los demás parecían contentos con sus elecciones. ¡Así que será la tercera vez con suerte!

Unfortunately I would not recommend this over-priced below average restaurant. The service was poor with the staff clearly busy clearing tables but inattentive with existing customers. The starter sharing platter was underwhelming with warming dumplings, cold corn fritters and spring rolls which were as thin as cigarettes with next to no filling. The main chicken pad Thai was the worst I’ve ever tasted, greasy, insipid and had sour tasting chicken… the whole dish appeared to have been re-cooked. We did not chance eating the main and requested it deducted from the bill. The beer was the only thing which was good.

We were put into a corner first off which was fine but literally was forgotten about for our whole meal experience . The waitress had to be waved down to even get told our choices for our meal . The starters came out which wasn’t cheap £20 for a sharing platter and lacked flavour , and the sweetcorn fritter were disgusting. The food was not hot at all. Tasted reheated in the microwave . We eat it as we was hungry but then the pad Thai came out , what a horrible first taste . It was like sour and wasn’t a nice taste at all . The chicken tasted off . We left it and complained that we will not be paying for this meal . So we had to pay for the horrid starter but had to go up to pay the bill as they just ignored us for saying that the food tasted off and we didn’t want to get ill from it . Overall experience was really bad , the service was so slow and the meals tastes reheated and I would be tempted to see there health and hygiene scores. I was really disappointed with this experience and will never ever go with my friend again, it ruined our evening.

I just came back from there. We go there every month and have been going there for years now. Service is always excellent, food served quickly and tastes good. Recently prices have gone up which is fair considering that food prices went up everywhere, but WTH happened to your portions? We ordered massaman lamb and panang chicken. Massaman literally had 5 tiny floating meat cubes in a litre of sauce??? Seriously £18 per portion you can do better. Panang portion was tiny as well. I think maybe half chicken breast thinly sliced, not enough for one person in my opinion. On the way we discovered another Thai place nearby. Next time we are going there. As much as I love the decor and atmosphere of your place I don't think I will be spending money here again. Sadly I did not take photos!

If you are plant based or vegan beware. I went for Dinner with a friend Dec 9th (5.30pm booking). When we arrived at the venue it wasn't open at 5.30 as stated. We waited for them to open. Door was opened by the manager. We entered. I stated we had a booking for 5.30. She replied quite rudely. They only had a booking for 5 people at 5.30. My friend then had to show her our booking from Open table. No apology for her rudeness or abrupt response. Their vegetarian menu had some vegan options available. So being plant based and issues with eggs and dairy. I asked for a Pad Thai tofu vegan option. The meal arrived and noticed a particular smell but couldn't put recognise the smell until half way through my meal I could see bits of egg. I called for the manager who then checks our menu order that says Just pad Thai tofu. I said no, I asked for Pad Thai tofu vegan option. Manager then tells me I should have said Vegan option Pad Thai tofu 😒....really. I have woken up today with a very upset stomach. I will not be visiting this branch anytime soon. Note. This is the second time I have been to this branch this year and the rudeness was evident in August 2024 as now Dec 2024. In August same issue with not ordering my order correctly.

Was looking very excited to go into this place again as haven't been at least 5 years or more. Got to the place. Couldn't really see much as it's all candle lit considering go work. Colleagues lighting probably would have been better as opposed to having a romantic candle eat dinner, which I think they assume everybody is having. Once we sat down we were almost kind of rushed into picking something to eat so they can move our party on. The waiter literally stood over me whilst I was trying to decide what to have and two of my colleagues also felt the same treatment that he wanted us to hurry up considering we'd only been there for a few minutes. Out of the six of us they missed one order so you'll feel guilty about eating the most that person wasn't. So you end up waiting for a bit which then when our food was slightly warm as opposed to hot was a little oily for my personal taste. We try not to let it dampen our spirits though and we had a good time and laugh as we do as a team. We answer the check and they came over extremely quickly. Like I said it felt like it was a factory type setting in out in out. Wasn't much attention whilst we were there so it was main order then. Do you want dessert afterwards and that's it? Just know no extra drinks being offered or any kind of attention apart from that and the restaurant wasn't busy which should have been my first clue that maybe the place has gone downhill a little bit since I last went there, However, the prices haven't gone down considering. Anyway, maybe I'll try again in 5 years time, as there are other places in the area, I think we should try instead next time, which we're much busier on a Thursday and seem to have more of a lively interaction

Como recién llegábamos a las 9 PM, le proporcioné una lista de platos principales al restaurante por adelantado. A pesar de que el restaurante estaba ocupado, nuestros entrantes se sirvieron rápidamente y proporcionaron todos los servicios a tiempo. El servicio era excepcional y la comida era genial. Definitivamente volveré de nuevo después del evento del próximo año.

Had a fantastic meal this evening at Thai Square near the Angel in Islington, staff were incredibly friendly, especially Peachy who was serving us all evening. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant with a gentle buzz of conversation. A very warm and appreciated welcome while the weather outside was cold. The décor inside was lovely, especially loved the artificial plant wall and painted glass roof. Most importantly the food was incredibly tasty and very well priced considering the location, I will definitely be coming back here again in the future.

Muy buena comida. Precio medio para la zona. Incluso cuando pides una opción más suave, definitivamente tiene una patada. Los camareros eran muy amables, incluso si un poco desagradable a veces. La secadora Dyson en el baño no estaba muy limpio. Aparte de que es un restaurante decente!

It was very quiet when we went for lunch. I guess it's busier later on and in the evening because it's quite big. The service was efficient and friendly, the food was tasty. Can't fault it. And one of the best women's loo that I've been in :) . I'm sure we'll go back next time we're in the area.

In town for work, and tried out Thai Square. The pad thai was very good, and on par with some of the best I’ve had. I’ll be back during my stay to try some other dishes.

Nothing to do kartwheels over. Food was very average. Service was slow. Prices for the food is overpriced given that the food served was very average/palettable. The rice does not come with the Curry, this has to be ordered separately- the Curry itself is extremely watery, almost like floating vegetables in watery sauce. Not the best dining experience to say the least.

El ambiente aquí es genial, con iluminación tenue y velas led frescas en las mesas que agregan un toque agradable. La comida era deliciosa, con un auténtico sabor tailandés. La selección de vinos era un poco limitada, pero aprovechamos al máximo con una botella de Malbec. El personal era muy amable y realmente encima de las cosas, lo que hizo la experiencia aún mejor.

There is a moth problem- I killed 3, and rlthe atmosphere was ruined because moths kept flying around us. I ordered a green curry, then was asked whether I eanted rice with it. It seemed strange, since curry should come with rice. I ordered curry only, but it was too watery to eat, so ended up ordering rice. I was with 5 other people, who were served sooner than me, and had to slow down or stop eating out of courtesy to me since it was taking so long for me to be served. Food is nothing out of the ordnary. Would not go again.

Unprofessional and unapologetic. My friend who is coeliac had 2 email exchanges and a phone conversation regarding our booking for a party of 5, as she needed to check whether they could accommodate her. She was reassured, and confirmed the booking. We arrived at 19.30 to find there was no record of the booking. We were seated and asked for a couple more minutes to decide on drinks, That was the last we saw of any member of staff at our table. My friend went to speak to find a member of staff to try and sort out what happened with the booking. No-one had any knowledge of it, despite being shown the emails, and seemed to have no idea about gluten free or coeliac needs re separate food prep areas etc. There seemed to be only 2 members of front of house staff dealing with quite a few tables. We decided after 20 minutes of no service to go over the road to Pho, where we got the usual cheerful and efficient service and decent food. Luckily we knew Pho, where the menu is 97% gluten free, but in other circumstances this could have meant not finding somewhere our friend could eat. None of us will eat at a Thai Square in future.. Really poor. Oh and see their reply below - I have never been contacted by their customer service team.

First time visiting this restaurant in London, and the food was so good! The server, Peachy, was super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back next time!

Three of us went for an evening meal on a Tuesday when it as quite quiet. Our food came really quickly which was great and I enjoyed my pad Thai. The staff were lovely.

Had a very tasty meal here last night. Service was great, staff friendly and professional and not at all rushed. It’s a big restaurant and not so busy on a Wednesday eve, so tables were plenty. Would recommend.

This is definitely not traditional Thai flavor, it's too salty, way too sweet. The only positive thing was the staff service.

Have been many times and food was good. This time we where so disappointed.I ordered scallops love prawn dish which was two and a half scallops with three king prawns for £19.95 rice extra. Complete rip off. My husband had sweet and sour chicken which was very finely sliced it was so chewy he could not eat it. We where given £5.85 discount off bill . Very disappointed not what it used to be .

Me and my friend visited the Thai Square restaurant in Islington yesterday. We were so impressed with the service food and atmosphere also, the staff were so friendly and very supportive. Food was nice, except one severe safety issue: A staple (from paper stapler) was in food. Staff apologised and changed rice but didn't address my question why it was there. Still tried to charge service charge. Not my first time, but I'm very disappointed by lack of care about safety

Greeted by a lovely lady called Peachy, there’s a special menu until 6.30pm which some of us had. Food was great, only my second Thai restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Service was excellent and friendly. We were only visiting the area and were pleased to find such a lovely place for dinner. I would definitely recommend a visit, excellent food, staff and price.

Not a bad Thai Restaurant on Islington High Street. Food is quite nice, nothing special but fine👍 The Layout is nice, the Service was average, we visited on a Thursday evening, it was quiet (which was good) but the Service was slow and error prone (wrong Food Orders 🫤) Overall worth a visit if you want a quick Thai Meal 👍

Everything was delicious. The Mango juice, passion fruit, grenadine (tropical lust) was so nice. I also had the fresh ginger tea and I ate the shredded ginger. 🤭😁😜 The Thai Royal (Mekhong) is 💯

Such a disappointment. I’d always heard of Thai Square being a good upscale Thai chain so was happy to give it a try for dinner after a conference. Wow. Not good. Service was nonexistent. Had to flag down to order and get up to find someone to pay the bill. Dumplings were stodgy with a very thick dipping sauce. The ‘hangover beef’ which was just what they called their nam tok beef was so sour as to be inedible. At £19 it was not well priced. And the pad Thai was too. sweet. Again the sauce was oddly thick. Chang beer at £5 was borderline flat and overpriced. As we were leaving the group next to us complained about not having service either. Definitely won’t be back. Glad we were paying as it went on an expense account. If it was out of my pocket they’d get 2 stars.

We visited Thai Square after a long walk along Regents Canal. We were very hungry and Thai Square did not disappoint. We had the lunch time menu with mixed starters, soup and a main course. All three courses were delicious. I thought the prices were quite reasonable considering everywhere is very expensive these days. I love Thai food and don't eat enough of it, so it was wonderful to find a Thai restaurant which lived up to expectations. The restaurant decor is also very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this place.
