Thai Rapide in Islington

He estado aquí para desayunar un par de veces, pero esta era mi primera visita en la noche. No puedo pensar por qué lo había dejado tanto tiempo. Una gran variedad de platos interesantes, con un toque asiático, muchas opciones vegetarianas, buen vino y un comedor luminoso y espacioso, perfecto para una noche de junio. Yo lo recomendaría. Y hay joyas inesperadas. El arroz que venía con mi principal era increíble. Hay un montón de buenos vegetariano entrantes incluyendo los calabacines buñuelos, un encantador picante berenjenas con tofu, y si come pescado una gran ensalada de atún crudo.

9 of us went for a team lunch. Food nice although service was patchy, one of our party left waiting despite the rest of us being served. Set menu was good quality with enough choice.

I was in the area and visited this restaurant for lunch. The host was friendly and helpful. The food was simple and good.

The food was absolutely impossible to eat (too spicy even when it said it was slightly spicy) even if the chicken satay was quite good!

si lo pides una comida para llevar con 5 compañeros de trabajo, tengo que decir que no estoy solo dispaointed pero indignado por su mala educación en ordenar. La comida era menos que mediocre y demasiado caro para lo que nos dieron. no/palillos de cubiertos con una comida para llevar.

Me quedé enormemente decepcionado con Thai Rapid restauarante en Clerkenwell. El extremadamente servicio grosero, me miró a la cocina supuesta, veía sucia. Pedí un Pad Thai, sabía como pasta de saladas con un puñado de gambas a la parrilla. El plato llegó con una cuña ya limón recién ( !!! ). No es tan auténtico como un noruego salsa boloñesa. ¿He dicho que el servicio era pésimo? realmente horrible. Huid como de la peste.

We work near by and come for lunches there every now and then. Friendly attitude there, good quality food, nice and simple. Never been for dinner there though, probably not for a special occasion.

uno de mis favoritos y mis colegas para el almuerzo. Hemos visitado muchas veces y la comida siempre es de excelente calidad. Me encanta la comida tailandesa y hemos visitado muchos restaurantes tailandeses en Londres y Thai Rapide es consistentemente uno de los mejores. Sus curries son deliciosos, especialmente la Mussamum cordero al curry y los curries rojos. El servicio es normalmente muy rápido y encantador, aunque puede ser más lento si el restaurante está muy lleno.

Cómo restaurantes esto malo puede abrir se me escapa.

We were the only ones in the restaurant at 8 on a Wednesday and were sat in a small booth. It was a fairly nice atmosphere with Thai music in the background but the takeaway guy was slouched down on a sofa. As the only other person in the room it was quite distracting. The service was fairly punctual, we got some starters of duck and veg spring rolls which were ok. The main courses were nothing special really, a beef dish and a very standard green thai curry. The rice was well served and fresh to be fair. It was fairly cheap, so couldn't complain really but it was underwhelming overall. Won't be returning. If I could, I'd give it 2.5 out of 5.

I could just say "terrible" and not explain, but the easiest way is to step through the experience to justify my one star rating.This was our second visit. Went on a Monday evening - there were only two other tables occupied when we walked in. We were ignored completely for a couple of minutes, then finally found someone and asked for a table for two. The disinterested young waitress indicated the only non-made-up table which was a small booth at the back right next to the toilets, still covered in food and stains from a previous occupant. We asked if we could instead sit in the front booth (set up for 3 people) which was made up. She refused as it was "for 3". Given it was now 8:30pm and there was less than 20% occupancy this seemed ridiculous, but she was not budging. We were forced to sit in the back corner, and the table was never made up properly for us. Our order was taken, and we were upsold on the prawn crackers. These arrived, with no dips or sauces at all, just dry crackers. We called her back and asked for chilli sauce and soy sauce. She eventually (5 minutes later) came back with a tiny bowl of each (all without speaking once to us). I immediately (and politely) pointed out the sauces were for dipping and so I would like more than one teaspoon of chilli sauce. She ungraciously topped it up to 2 teaspoons. Compare this to cheaper restaurants where large bottles are provided on each table with no limitations at all!So, the food. When it arrived my baby squid were cold, chewy and flavourless. My boyfriends tom yum soup had coconut milk in it??? The mains were no better. My green curry veg was thin, the egg fried rice had been reheated in a microwave (or had been standing for a few days) and was completely flavourless. His drunken duck was cold and fatty. At no point did the waitress engage with us. The food was clumped down on the table with no introductions, she did not ask whether the food was OK, she did not top up our water glasses (which were tiny) and at the end cleared the table without offering desserts, the bill or anything. Absolutely dreadful, and needless to say, we did not pay service and will not go back.

The sauces were ok, but the beef was of very low quality, and the prawns did not taste of anything at all.

Very disappointed. Very poor service in a cramped an uncomfortable restaurant. It was also cold and I noticed a few people who left their coats on. The "waitress" was very rude and at one point tried to tell everyone at the table what they should order. The food itself was mediocre and the only saving grace was that it was reasonably priced. Though they still had the audacity to add a service charge despite their behavior of the "waitress".Will not be going there again.

Very good cooking tailored to what we wanted - the waitress gently guided us through the menu which, although extensive, seemed to be freshly prepared. Quiet, comfortable and enjoyable it was a wonderful contrast to the more boisterous, Michelin starred restaurants we had been in over the last few days - we lingered, enjoying the taste and texture of the food. Good service, good Thai food and very underpriced - now we have discovered this, we will return regularly

Nice pleasant atmosphere, good selection of dishes and can be tailored to suit the Spiciness you require

Lovely little place in this area. My fiance and I have been about 5 or 6 times to eat in and take out. Simple food and great service.
