Costa Coffee in Edinburgh, City of

It's nice enough if you can get a seat, unfortunately filled with selfish people on laptops or their phones sitting for ages. Not even a pram will shift them.

I must say I'm very shocked with the service I have just received. 13th November 2024 at 14:20. After going up to the counter and not being acknowledged by what I can assume was the manager. No name tag. On his laptop with his phone so never noticed me. To him not even looking at me as he was to busy on his laptop. To him then forgetting to give the young girl my cup so she knew she had a drink to make. So someone though the drive though order got there's before me when I ordered first. I will not be back if this is how the manger gives customer service

Great hot coffee served by friendly professional staff. Used tables are cleared and cleaned regularly.

Staff at the branch are always so welcoming and nice. My son knocked his hot chocolate and they were straight over to clean it up and gave him a replacement. Even though the shop was super as it was lunch time. Care for your customers is 5*. Thank you so much!

Got served the wrong drink, did not offer to swap the item, I queried twice as I was surprised about the price. The cashier was not able to use my gift card, I was in a hurry so I needed up paying with my credit card. Staff seem very clueless, avoid.

I use to enjoy going every other day, but when you changed the loyalty reward from 8 to 10 hardly go to Costa at all now.

It's a new build so it's modern and bright, a nice place to grab a coffee and some lunch. The coffee is decent, the food is ok, standard chain coffee shop food, service was great.

3£ for a soft drink that consists of a small splash of syrup and tap water. A fraud. unfriendly staff

Hi, I live in front to Costa in Meadowbank(Edinburgh)and every evening I see from my windows a lots of rats coming out of the flower beds and walking between the tables. I have many videos where you can see rats! Please inform your manager to solve this issue as soon as possible because there is a rats infestation! Be careful everyone!

It is always an excellent choice for a chat and a coffee with friends or family. Enjoy a slice of cake or a toasted sandwich or panni while you are there,and choose to sit in or outside. As this is in the area of Meadowbank shopping complex,a little trip around the stores is welcome opportunity.

The best Costa in town with synch hardworking friendly team

Normally pretty good service however a couple of newish staff had me waiting, didn't acknowledge me or even say I'll be one second so stood for approximately 3 to 4 minutes, normally I'm only a couple of minutes and it wasn't as busy as it normally is.

The tea was good but the lemon cake was stale. The service was good and the tables were kept clean. There is need to ensure food is kept fresh.

I went in for coffee with a friend I met at the shop. It's lovely inside or outside if you have a dog with you it's easy to sit and chat outside. It's self service and the food looks amazing but I didn't have any. I can say it's got a nice atmosphere for all ladies looking for coffee and a chat.

Nice clean and the young man who served me was extremely nice even took my tray to the table for me as I use a walking stick wish I had got his name he deserves the 5stars !!

I have been using this store some time now and it's by far my favourite Costa! The Ladies here are always lovely, friendly, welcoming and engaging! They always bring a smile to my face whenever I'm in. They always keep smiling, even when you can clearly see how busy and under pressure they are! These Ladies do such an amazing job and work commendably hard under such high demands and testing circumstances! Keep up the amazing work Ladies, you's are a credit to this store and the company!

You have to be careful what size of coffee you want as the staff automatically go for medium even though they do small ones

Service was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday. The tables are crammed together, the guy walking about cleaning tables either can't understand or can't hear you or doesn't want to hear people.

A large but very busy Costa Coffee room. Great location. Excellent coffee that's the hallmark of Costa. Hard to find empty seats.

Brand new Costa Coffee to Meadowbank with sit in and drive through. After many years of having a small retail park at Meadowbank, we now have a place to meet, eat, chat and drink.

Staff need to learn to give back change it doesn't matter how much the change is it should be given back to the customer,why would you not give change back ok it was only 5p but it's my 5p if i wanted to put it in the charity box ect it up to me but to not even offer me my change back and i have to ask for it back is so so bad again staff training is needed

This has got to be the best Costa Coffee and cleanest Costa I have been to.

Sometimes things are getting close to the ridiculous here in the UK. I do understand that due to the shortage of people to work, today, this place is selling only via drive thru. Ok! Me, as a tourist in the city, no car, see the sign and go walking around and try to order a coffee (it is important to mention that there were no lines, other person, other cars and so on and so forth, just myself and the window to place orders). So I was told that they could not sell me a tiny cup of coffee, a expresso that would take 30 seconds to be made, through that window. Than they said that with cost app, I could, from that same spot I was, order the coffee. However, as I have said, I am an international tourist, when trying to download the app from playstore I got the message "this app is not available in your country". Therefore some steps created to "ease" some processes of daily life, start to go against the logic of buying and selling stuff.

Asked for a Belgian chocolate and cream frostino with coffee, employee responded with "what" I told her again what I wanted, she responded "what coffee" I told I don't know the difference just the normal stuff, she replied "what do you want" had to tell her a third time until she finally got it, then drove to the window and asked the other employee if my drink had coffee in it cause I wasn't sure after what had happened and her tone of voice was very rude and she came across very angry, all I wanted was a frickin coffee Jesus, please train your staff correctly so they know all the items on the menu and how to interact with people politely.

Unfriendly staff making faces to whatever I would say. Never checked if we did a track and trace or not.
