Costa Coffee in Milton Keynes

Terrible service. No eye contact, assumed I was ordering to take away, rolled eyes when I asked for a proper cup and no apology. This is a hospital, treat people with kindness.

Filthy tables. Everyone's waiting, one girl working, two yaking about their love lives! Costa, run coffee shops like they run their cruise ships! Into the ground!!

We had to wait about an hour after a procedure so we went here because really, there's nowhere else to go & nothing else to do so it was better than nothing but I certainly wouldn't go here unless I was in this situation at the hospital.

First time here and will be back. Ideally situated next to the MK Dons at Stadium MK

Not a bad Costa, although the service is slow so if your bored to death your in the right place 😉👌

Always pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff

Costa : am I surprised? Never been lucky on any of them, so far. Burnt toasted tea cake. Was charged for two coffees; had to go and queue AGAIN for refund. Loads of dirty trays on tables. Staff friendly enough, however, Costa might take care of some additional training. Atmosphere, well that is difficult to assess. Right next to main hospital reception - unpredictable.

Absolute shambles. More interested in the times they work.. decided to melt ice early because they are shutting in 30 mins.. not sure if it’s a franchise or not but they should be ashamed of the people they employ.

Zero gluten free options, long queues and the drinks in the fridge are warm. Costa do better.

Costa's at Milton Keynes University hospital is a great place to take a refreshment and food break in the busy out patients area of the hospital. A nice place to get away from the hospital routines of patients coming and going to various departments within the hospital. Costa's staff are friendly and the coffees and teas are a welcome to those who want a rest or are waiting for their appointments. During the weekdays it gets at times very busy, but after 5pm it tends to get a quieter feel until 8pm when Costa's closes for the day. They sell food such as sandwiches and cakes and bottles of soft drinks. They sell toasted sandwiches too that can be heated for you to enjoy. It can get busy in the mornings and around lunchtime with queues ordering and waiting for drinks or hot food.

This has to be the worst Costa in MK. The lady that works on the till here is SO loud. You can be on the far side of the cafe and still hear every word she says, and she is quite abrupt too. Makes for an unpleasant atmosphere in a hospital.

Very good Costa, always pretty busy but the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Costa coffee ☕️ makes me feel good and positive! 👍 😌 It's something really magical about sitting down "in your own company" 😉 and having a moment to yourself. Costa experience is priceless, obviously if not "crazy" busy😉 Love yourself!🥰

Well it's at MK hospital. But it's clean and quick. With nice snacks. So it's good

Low quality food for a extortionist price, £5.80 for a pre-made simple sandwhich. No discount to nhs or blue light staff. Can get a full breakfast in a local cafe for that. Save your money or support the local businesses.

The lady taking the orders is a proper character, made me smile 😃

The issue with the place is that the upper management aka COMPASS GROUP have no interest in fixing anything or providing the right amount of staff, it's all about profit from what I've seen. The staff become very stressed and overwhelmed by the workload and end up leaving as a result. Only to be replaced by untrained workers who need training all over again.

Good atmosphere. Service was very good, polite, happy, friendly staff. Clean and plenty of space to sit at. Coffee was hot, muffins were delicious.

Went in for a coffee was greeted by a very abrupt rude small lady, think her name was Chris, a bit of customer service training may go a long way here

Little idea how to interact with customers

Dreadful experience after they took my money they informed me sitting area closing immediately despite not closing time. Staff not the least bit bothered that it would be proper customer service to let customers know prior to taking there money

Considering this is inside a hospital it's really nice. The staff definitely make the atmosphere here, they are all helpful and seem to enjoy being there. A very friendly place to be.

Dreadful “customer service”. Staff seem so disorganised and have no manners or ability to interact with customers. They spend most of the time caterwauling among themselves about the inane details of their lives. The fridge is rarely stocked up with barely any selection of items to choose from compared other Costa coffee shops. Takes an inordinate amount of time to get a simple coffee. Horrible place to have to come to but limited options at MK hospital as a regular outpatient.

Worst costa! When you got 2 kids serving without any idea who to make the hot drinks!

Cakes were not as fresh as other costa places, tasted as if they over stayed and got dry. Was disappointed with the cakes. Other than that happy with the cleanliness.

Food was ok, coffee was ok. Staff were lovely. It's a chain coffee shop.

Typical Costa, good drinks and food, polite staff. Only let down by the confusion on opening hours, one search says they close at 4pm, another says 7.30pm, but the sign on the entrance to the coffee shop says 6pm. They put all the seats on the tables at 4.30pm, so that customers have no where to sit after purchasing their food and drinks.

Good drinks and service but sometimes inconsistent food availability and opening hours seem to change quite a lot.

The food was good. Pigs in blankets panini was really nice. Coffee was also good but not very warm by the time I got home. Service was great, friendly helpful staff at the hospital one. A bit pricey.

Nice little Cost located conveniently within the hospital, the flat white I had was made perfectly 🙂

Floors are dirty, tables hardly ever clean, woman at the till is so loud and rude that she overwhelms the atmosphere of the place... The audiology department is around the corner. Go and get them tested as your deafening your colleagues and the customers.

A popular Costa in the hospital. Shame it keeps closing at 3pm right as ita visiting hours due to lack of staff .

So I popped in on of chance . A lady and daughter was in there it wasn’t that busy how’s o noticed the daughter was having a seizure, I got help with a nurse cleared tables of hot drinks and put the girl on floor finally first response took a while whilst I stayed with mum and daughter . I was disappointing that none of the staff who worked there did not help in fact I cleaned all drinks moved chairs as the mum was very upset . Another nurse came and helped . I just feel that the was all going on they could have made some sort of deal from this instead of just watching . I hope the girl is now safe xx

Had coffee and cinnamon bun, couldn't eat the bun was so dry, don't know how old it was. Threw it away

Great to have this in the hospital, so you can gather your thoughts if you need to or just for some sustenance whilst your waiting. Only 4 stars as choice was limited, no croissants at 1030 in the morning😬 Otherwise helpful and friendly staff.

Costa where it's needed most...

Thank God for this Costa after living in the hospital for a few weeks because of my dad this was my little retreat.

Slow service , and pricey . £7.80 it cost for 2 small hot chocolates .

Went in for coffee after an appointment. Coffee was fine, but tables not cleared or cleaned after customers had left. We found an empty table & cleaned it ourselved of cake debris. Plus one group of 3 were extremely noisy & it drove us out.

I love this shop it has amazing drinks amazing cakes and items would recommend this shop is amazing!

Had a coffee here while waiting for my partner to have treatment in the eye clinic. Coffee was free as I used my points! Lovely cappuccino as usual

It's Costa so you always get a good coffee. It loses a star for having the tiniest menus behind the counter, so if you don't have 20/20 vision you have to know what you want in advance

Supposed to close at 6 but got kicked out 5 minutes before when trying to pay for a sandwich which would have taken 1 minute to pay for. Very rude, not a nice thing staying without dinner when going through family emergency, specially when they were still within working hours

Every single lady working in this costa really are friendly and kind! I have been in hospital a month and use costa daily their kindness helps me get through each day.

Chloe was amazing. I really enjoyed my Mac and cheese pasta along with Chai Latte.

It has what you say and refreshing and good coffee and if you want something sweet you find Costa coffee

Standard Costa however can be very loud and hard to find a table. Wait times aren't great but there is little choice around.

A good location for hospital visits nice warm surroundings service was a bit slow when I was there but I have had worse

Friendly staff, good service behind the counter. I sat in for over 30mins didn't see any member of staff wipe the tables down. I asked if the tables were clean staff said yes, went to sit down I noticed paper on the table it was obviously not wiped, therefore I was mislead! Disappointing considering Covid is still here!!
