I'm sorry to say but the service is awfully slow. Today, 3 staff behind the counter , 2 customers ordering a total of 5 coffees. More then 10 minutes waiting is quite excessive in that case. But unfortunately it seems to be the standard here

Seriously disappointing and pretty disgusting. Being run by teens who clearly couldn’t care less; filthy in the prep area, rubbish spilling into floor. More interested in chatting to their friends than serving customers - it took over 12 minutes to serve 2 customers! Pastries counter looking empty and dirty. Tables in restaurant area a complete state - mess and empties everywhere, with more rubbish on the floors. Sort it out Costa - it’s not hard to do better.

Have you changed your opening hours? No, we've closed early because we've not made enough money today. Really? I've counted 15 people so far been turned away and sat coffee-less waiting for their kids clubs to finish.

The food here is delicious and it’s amazing to find so many vegan options that also taste lovely. The Bronuts are inspired! Worth a visit alone. The kitchen opening times are a bit hit and miss which can be frustrating. The staff are very friendly. The decor is pleasant although the music can be too loud and distracting. The only change that could make it better would be if it opened all day especially at weekends.

The Royal Oak took a dinner booking more than 6 weeks in advance. The day before the booked reservation, we rang them to confirm the booking time only to be told they could not accommodate us. They said the chef had been taken sick. After some researching we found out the Oak does not open on the day we had booked. It all seemed a bit odd, and wondered when they were going to tell us 🤔
