Costa Coffee in Hastings

I was absolutely disgusted with the state of the women’s toilets. The lock on the door didn’t work, the cubicle was awash with water and the toilet seat was covered in urine. The flush was broken. I will never go there again as it makes me wonder what state the kitchens are in

Unwelcoming staff. No welcome, just a how can I help you, then waited, drink was placed on a tray, nothing to say it was mine, waited for Tuna melt, plonked on a tray and the server just turned around and not a word spoken, was wondering if something else was coming the way she turned around, but nope, was totally blanked. No good-bye, no thank you. No have a nice day, not even a smile. Left feeling like something coming down an assembly line for in a factory. Apart from that, the restaurant was nice and quiet, food and drink was nice (although over priced) but didn’t have to wait long, they did work as a team though. Next time I’ll go somewhere else. Like next door, Greg’s.

I go in almost every week praying jamie will be there, absolutely lovely girl. Knows her stuff, always very polite and friendly. She always knows how i like my coffee, i only ever go in when she’s there. Would 100% recommend going in when she’s there, always knows how to please a customer. Thanks jamie!!🩷

Came in the other day for iced coffee and a cake, lovely iced caramel coffee frappe and carrot slice. Slow moving queue though due to one of the staff members, who I think is the manager, talking to the customers for long periods of time and staff members looking awkward about interrupting the conversation. Seems pleasant to customers but he doesn’t seem the nicest to staff at times. Having popped in on several occasions over the past few months, my wife and I have seen/heard him being quite rude towards his staff. Besides that. Lovely location, lovely food and drinks and (mostly) lovely service all around 👍🏻

Your average Costa, nothing remarkable yet a clean, attractive and comfortable interior with perhaps less seating than most. Good range of hot drinks, hot and cold snacks, pastries, cakes, etc.

I do like a hot chocolate, particularly on a wet and windy day

Oh wow large cappuccino and the best lotus biscoff Cheesecake I've ever tried 10/10.

Great place to chill out before or after doing the shopping at Aldi, or following / during a walk along the beach as far as Bridge Way. Great service, staff are very helpful, attentive, professional.

Pleasant place to visit, contemporary decor. But the use of just hard surfaces makes it noisy, like all these kinds of cafes.

It said it closed at 4.30 on Sundays, fot there 4.05 and already closed with a sign saying due to short of staff they close early. Apparently that sign has been there for months according to other people I've spoken to.

Staff was very rude no hello no thank you The way I was speaking to was very out of order not nice not going there agin 😡😡😡

Not Friday management, Always closing too early and never bother to update online, On many occasions I checked online it shows open till 6:00pm when I get there no service after 4:00pm.

Visited around 16.05 yesterday (Saturday 5/8/23). The entrance door was opened but blocked with two chairs. There were 3 staff so grabbed the attention of one and asked whether they are not open. Prompt came the answer "yes we are closed now". Funny enough the opening hours mentioned online and there was till 5pm on Saturdays! We walked from the caravan park nearby to have coffee and cake with the family. Maybe the staff was too busy to go for a Saturday night drinks. What a shame. I thought it's legally bound to go by the published opening hours. We are here for longer but never will visit this store.

Ein schreckliches Chaos in diesem Coffee Shop. Auf den Tischen stapelten sich überall schmutziges Geschirr, schmutzige Tische, am Boden Abfall und das Servicepersonal hatte nichts besseres zu tun, als ewig Schokoriegel aufzufüllen und die Mixgeräte zu putzen (4 Mitarbeiter insgesamt !!) und das zur besten Kaffezeit 🤦🏼‍♂️. Der Mann der die Espressomaschine bediente, musste gleichzeitig auch kassieren und die Gäste unterhalten. Bei den horenden Preisen für einfach nur Kaffee mit aufgeschäumter Milch ( ein kleiner Cappuccino 3,70 € 😲) und Selbstbedienung, ist das in meinen Augen nicht zumutbar.

Bit expensive for food: paid about £4.50 for what amounted to bread with tomato paste and cheese on it. Shared with friend. Coffee, two of, excellent. You'd expect that though, as clue in in name. 🍵🍵👀🙂

Avoid. Spend too long having a coffee in Costa with a friend and you will receive a nasty surprise in the form of a parking charge notice to the tune of £75 from a third party parking scammer. Costa refuse to authorise cancellation. Shocking treatment of loyal customers.

Service was amazing. I believe the staff member names were Max and Abby? They were chatting to a regular customer and it was so nice to see such a positive conversation. Abby's skills as a barista are excellent. All in all, well worth a visit. Looks like a new unit so very clean. Free parking and an outdoor seating area available.

Was a busy afternoon visit, bit too loud and my cake was a tad dry for a brownie. Drink was excellently prepared.

Good size shop from when you walk good amount of comfortable seating. Popped in with the family today a few hot chicks all round. And 3 helpings of the Mac cheese boxes always a favourite. Staff very friendly and delay when ordering.

Food was lovelyz had a cheese toastie, and a white hot chocolate. Great service, was fast and not to priced either. The chairs was comfortable, tables very clean, i will definitely come back to here.

Well done to the staff at Bulverhythe. My daughter accidentally spilt her Frappe and the staff not only cleared it up straight away but gave her another one free of charge. That's great customer service and made my daughter feel a lot better.

I don't know what's going on with this Costa. This relatively new outlet used to have friendly, efficient staff and used to be open until the advertised times. But it seems not only to have had a total change of staff but they now regularly close at any time which takes their fancy. At least 4 times now we have arrived well before closing time to find them closed both on weekdays and weekends. Today the advertised time was 6pm. We entered at 3.55pm to be advised would be closing in 5 minutes. Grumpy manager gave his male member of staff a public lecture when he served us our hot food on plates rather than in take away bags. So we had to gulp down our food in minutes and then take the coffee out. When you intend to dine in and you are present 2 hours before the advertised closing time this is dreadful. There is no explanation on the building to explain why this particular store has become so utterly unreliable. It is on a main road into Hastings and they are closing at a time which avoids all rush hour custom and even prevents parents who've collected children from school grabbing a coffee. It is absolutely absurd. If this is how this Costa is going to operate permanently it may as well totally close down because it is a completely unacceptable level of service.

Great location next door to aldi and greggs. Alot of parking. Bus stop near by. Was quite busy but didnt wait to long. Little things were missed like giving me a spoon or napkin. Nice coffee the usual. Tasty brownie frappe. Limited outside seating. Disabled access. Some inside seating. Would go again

Needs better opening hours. Says online it is open until 1800 when it closes at 1700

This area of Hastings / St Leonard’s has needed a decent coffee shop for years. Whilst not my favourite of the chains, they’ve done a good job with this outlet. Parking is free and there’s plenty of spaces. The cafe is spacious, well laid out and service is great pretty quick whether staying in for a nice cuppa or taking away. Staff are always pleasant. Having Greggs located next door was a good move as Costa’s food offerings aren’t up to much. Saying that, the new new addition of M&S food may change that!

Amazing staff, amazing food and good parking. the best Costa nearby. Staff are very friendly and go the extra mile for you, parking is good just don’t stay over 90 minutes.

I used the click and serve option...after waiting 20 mins, I thought maybe I need to go in ! The Chap on the till was very understanding...the " barista chef " was a complete tool !! " It's ere ! "...well how about you bring it to me car sweet cheeks!! Much easier to go in and order than use the " click and ignore " service option !

Nice cup of coffee with my daughter , and bought coffees for two police officers on their break , they do a thankless job ! My way of saying thankyou for all that you do 👍👍

Sneaky parking charges. Only allowed 1 and a half hours stay, but the big board stating this is show on the way out. Smaller signs are around but higher up and didn’t think to look for one as I wouldn’t expect limited time where you have an Aldi, Greggs and Costa. You would not have time to do shopping and have lunch. Staff do not make you aware of the parking either. Has put me off going back.

Do not stay at Costa Coffee for longer than 90 minutes, if you do you will receive a £40 parking fine. There are no signs outside Costa warning you of this and Costa staff do not think it is any of their business. I will never meet my friends there again.

Sneaky parking charges. Went here to meet a friend last week and just received a parking ticket as there is a limit on their carpark of 1.5 hours. Didn't see the signs in the carpark as it was dark and they are written in tiny writing. Nothing in the store to warn you of this time limit - the only purpose of which is clearly to try and catch people out and sneakily make money off people. Won't be returning.

Do you know what.... this Costa coffee pad is a lovely little place to stop off and have a cuppa and maybe a cake or two. Good seating, really friendly chatty staff. My mum even liked it and she can be user fussy.

Great staff, as someone who goes here a fair bit they've remembered my drink and get the steamy stuff on the go whilst other staff manage the till at what can be a busy queue. Very well organised and you can tell the staff get on well, they make a good team!

Newly built Costa that is quite spacious and clean. The staff with the exception of one person are very, speedy, helpful and efficient. One member of staff has on a couple of occasions not listened to what I requested and its difficult to realize at the time if you don’t get a receipt. Easy to park outside as it is part of the retail parking for Audi store.

I like it here. Good little Costa joint if I am honest. Seating area looks good for when they can have people in again. Staff are friendly and quick and they all do a good job. In a good spot as well.

Nettled into a handle little area where it was crying out for a coffee place. Plenty of parking and tables to the side to sit in the sun. Friendly staff and nice open space seating area inside.

I get a takeaway drink from them each day on my way home from work, the staff in there are friendly and it is encouraging that they are keeping it clean, it is a smaller costa but it feels cosy and has a good layout, highly recommended.
