Costa Coffee in Barnet

I have been to this Exceedingly Excellent 5 Star Award Winning Costa in Finchley Central lots of times. But I haven't been to this Exceptionally Beautiful and Charming Costa Coffee Shop in Finchley Central for a very long time. The Food Hygiene Rating's at this Exceedingly Excellent 5 Star Award Winning Costa Coffee Shop have Exceedingly Excellent 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating's. The Manager of this Costa Coffee Shop in Finchley Central has the Responsibility to ensure the safety of everybody whom purchases Food and Drink from this Costa Coffee Shop itself at all times. In addition to that also The Manager of this Exceptionally Beautiful and Charming Costa Coffee Shop in Finchley Central has the Responsibility of all of The Staff Whom all work in Collaboration with the Manager themselves to ensure the Safety of all of the Staff at all times. The Earl Grey Tea at this Costa is very nice and Beautiful indeed. In addition to that The Cappuccino Coffee with Chocolate Sprinkled on is very nice and Beautiful indeed. All of the Staff including the Manager of this Exceptionally Beautiful Costa Coffee Shop in Finchley Central are all very good role models in society themselves and they are all Extremely lovely people towards me all of the time. I would definitely like to come and enjoy myself at this Exceedingly Excellent 5 Star Award Winning Costa in the Foreseeable Future.

The coffee spilled quite a lot!

Sandwich wasn’t toasted both sides & wasn’t cut in 2. This happens most the time so please make sure to change as I order from his regularly

Such a waste of time and money. Hot chocolate was terrible and a guy in front who was making coffee was so rude.

Order was destroyed on delivery. Could not drink and Just Eat charged me anyway. Won’t use again

My experience is that a coffee shop should be quiet and peaceful. But this Costa has loud music and people feel at home. Noise and I saw a lady with her phone on speaker and talking loudly.

They serve incomplete drinks for the whole time I know this place. And they keep doing that even if you explicitly ask for coffee drink to be as on the picture - with cream, sprinkles. They’ll put cream but not the sprinkles intentionally.

The manageress goes outside to smoke and leaves untrained staff to mess up the orders, there was a very nice barista here before, i think her name was Melissa. Now it’s just going downhill! The manager is also very rude and unprofessional!

Dirty tables , dirty toilet. staff are rude. Service is terrible. I asked a latte with soya milk, i got a latte with skimmed milk…. And when i asked to change the milk, the blond women on the till was so rude with me. What if someone can’t drink cow milk, just plant based? Some of the staff are new, but instead to train them, they just laughing behind the bar… this was the last time that i tried this shop. Before the cake was dry. I don’t understand how this Costa is still open. Forks, spoon are dirty and it’s better if i don’t talk about the mugs and plates…. Maybe if i contact with the head office gonna change a bit. But i don’t think so… staff is on the phone. They don’t care about the coffee, they don’t care that someone is pay for it… disgusting!

You know what you are getting in terms of food and drink at a Costa, but what you can't be sure of is the service and the staff. Fortunately both were exemplary when I visited this branch. Very friendly, polite and attentive staff, working hard to deal with a big queue.

Today 14/08 at 18:00, the man working behind the counter was amazing after I had a small accident outside and he let me use the toilet to change shirts. After changing he was helpful again when explaining the ice blended drinks menu, will definitely come back. Thank you. 10/10

Interesting experience. Nice staff, plenty of seats, clean. Music hammering away in the background which may not be to everyone’s taste. Coffee……ok. Far from the worst I’ve had but not particularly special. A toasted ham and cheese sandwich was a revelation. Of the wrong kind. See the photo. Never ever experienced a toasted sandwich where one side had the consistency of concrete and the other side was barely warm bread. The reconstituted ham was transparent and the cheese was liquid and without taste. Took just the one bite and binned the rest. Dreadful. I’ve learnt my lesson and won’t be going again. I would have brought it to the attention of the staff but it was busy, a long queue and I didn’t want to wait.

Why do staff allow a customer sit all day occupying a table with 2 seats with bags of belongings.This happens most days.Brings down the atmosphere

It used to be a nice store, now long wait times as most of the staff busy having cigarette break after cigarette break. Some of the baristas are struggling to make it a good experience while the others just don’t seem to care about customers. I’m not sure that this mentality will help the shop. I feel sorry for those kids who are usually doing most of the shifts alone without the help of their colleagues. I don’t think the store manager cares as this is a reoccuring issue for a while now.

The frappe I ordered was horrible, liquid not frozen - totally below Costa standard and they did not send the biscuits they charged me for. Ballards lane Costa - I will avoid from now on

I'm here in Finchley central at costa once a week the morning coffee outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful special Melissa she's excellent on making coffee and breakfast. as the weather was cold and ring but inside also looked very pleasant. we will definitely stop by again. Thank you Coast Coffee at 32 Ballards Ln for lovely food and coffee pleasant experience. Thanks to Melissa.

Disappointing - I went to this costa recently and got a decaff latte with oat milk and an egg spinach and mushroom bap. The bap was disappointing - it had barely any filling at all, it was 99% bread. Costa’s coffee is quite watery it tastes like a cup of milk with a funny flavour, not sure if they burnt the coffee. Bluebelles down the road does proper coffee.

Been charged a bottled of water when I didn’t purchase one. Only realised when I left. Staff are busy talking to friends and amongst each other they don’t bother checking.

Quite disappointed with Pauline's attitude. I felt rushed as I was ordering even though there was no one behind me. She wanted to finalise the order as I was pronouncing what I items I wanted, decided for me that both drinks will be large. Napkins were nowhere to be seen and when I returned to the counter to ask for some, was given one tiny square. I asked for some more as it were two of us, and was told with contempt that I have to wait because she is meant to go to a break.

ordered a large chai, only got a medium and the toastie was burnt for the 2nd time in a row. not sure what’s going on recently since i usually like ordering from here but i’m very disappointed and don’t think i’ll be going back. not expecting my refund which is even more annoying

They had no brown toast, the card machine was playing up, the lady serving was getting inpatient.

Wish they had transparent and clear pricing for their drinks. The screen says £3.60 for a large coffee and you are charged £4.20!?!

Coffee was ok but well over priced and the food was an average standard. The service could have been better and the atmosphere wasn't great. I would certainly recommend you go to other similar places that charge far less and give a better option. Overall I would give 5 out of 10.👎

Hot choc is made very well to the Costa standard. flat white is okay. staff are friendly. The biggest let down? the chewy soft croissants. 🤮. thought it was just a bad batch the first time but the second time was just insulting to French bakers and people with taste buds everywhere!

asked for 2 bacon baps got sent a sausage, i did not ask for a sausage if i wanted a sausage i would select that in the options.

My coffee has a different taste at all branches, even espresso; I purchased two coffees, but both were filled with water without any taste.

My husband and I visited Costa in Finchley Central today to have a cold drink as it was soooo hot !!!!!! Unfortunately when we asked for a Fruit cooler and a Frappe we were told that the mixer wasn't working !!! At the end we settled for iced latte which was not very nice 😒 We think that the place needs a lot of TLC as it looks a little run down and sad 😥 Perhaps if someone cleaned the windows and the floor it would make a lot of difference ! Come on now Costa ! Get your act together !!!

Didn't have the bubbles for the new drink so I ordered a mint frappacino that wasn't very minty a bit disappointing!

Like every day, I bought my coffee from my favorite Costa shop today. Today, the lady I think is there as a supervisor, making her voice heard to the guest with her attitude and high voice. It bothered me that he was trying to say "I am the king". that's why I felt the need to write a comment to 5 star employees. 1 star lady in plain clothes to the lady who did the inspection.

I used to go to costa alot however since the barista in training short skiny girl her atitude is unacceptable and discusting. When you work in the cafe it doesn't matter how you look it important the atitude twords the customer is what matters

Used to be a friendly, welcoming cafe. One of the short, curly-haired barista is extremely rude and confrontational, pretends to mishear you, just to get your order wrong.

This Costa Coffee is my favourite. I have been coming here for years now. The staff is very nice and polite and always makes nice coffee with a smile. It is the cleanest Costa I have ever been in.

I’m a regular costumer here, very nice and a relaxing atmosphere the staff are very kind and welcoming and smiling always, but especially Hamida , Paulina and Ildi they are all so nice and charming always fast to serve and satisfy customers needs!

Slow service when not busy ! Over the months I've deduced the staff favour some customers over others. Nothing overt , it's the little things.

Delivery driver took the longer route to my home, and then stopped the journey for a while before finally making his way to bring me my food. My food was with him for 15/20 minutes, resulting in it arriving cold and hard. No fault to the restaurant at all because they are always great, just the driver.

Incredibly rude barista this morning. I asked for a coffee in a tall size and he aggressively barked back "WHAT DO YOU MEAN TALL?" Then slammed two cups on table and said "I would call this small." Obviously i was probably confusing it with another coffee shop size but is there any need to be so rude and patronising to a mother waiting for a coffee with her baby. Certainly won't be returning there.

Very Unprofessional- Store manager called PAULINE is very rude and totally unaccepted customer service. I went this afternoon to get coffee and hot chocolate , it was for 2 different people so I requested to make 2 payment .But she goes I cannot pay twice as she saw £10.0 on my hand . I said cancel that and make new one than she insist me to pay by cash which i don't have it. I requested to make payment though card than she rolled her eyes and threatened don't do this next time .I won't go there ever now . bad bad bad bad bad service .

I never write a review. But we came today for a coffee. And when we asked to cut our chocolate twist, the barista in a long black hair was very rude. Saying she can't cut it but if we want she will cut it with a knife using for panini. Fair enough we refused. Because of her attitude. Also she was raising her voice and wasn't polite. I think she needs a proper customer service training, how to speak. Meanwhile other girl was serving us coffee with a smile. I wish i could be a mystery shopper at the time. I work myself as a barista, and service from her was below 0

Coffee is OK, but the sandwich I bought was made with stale bread. When I took it back to the counter I was told it was not their fault because they buy the sandwiches ready packed from the supplier and was refused a refund or replacement. But they did offer to toast the sandwich for me so the bread wouldn't seem quite so bad!! Oh that's all right then. Needless to say, I declined this offer.
