Costa Coffee in Telford and Wrekin

Have been here a few times, i finally gave up and switched to Starbucks. Every time I've been to this branch it's been a bad experience, long wait times, messy tables, staff that lack customer service skills, closing early and asking customers to finish up quick and leave at 4pm, finally tried the drive through to treat my son to a hot chocolate and we were met with an abrupt, rude, clearly couldn't be arsed female member of staff so Starbucks it is from now on, where the staff are polite and the atmosphere is pleasant

Staff are always friendly, good quick service

Food was fine. They ran out of the tea I ordered but instead of just leaving me without one they replaced it with a mango tea. I did not realise I liked mango tea until now. They even said that they'd refund it if I didn't like it. This I appreciate

I had ordered food at 1pm and didn’t get it until 2:43pm

Made order and payment taken but was phoned by the shop to say items not available. Put in request for refund but still not received anything back

Popped in for a take out cappuccino and enjoyed it

Tis 16:20 on 27/11/2024. Three colleagues standing about chatting, nobody in drive through they need to serve, yet there's a filthy toilet and 11 dirty tables! Not happy! Hot chocolate was however good.

Very good service by Harvey and food and drink was perfect.

Lovely coffee as always guy's, This is no reflection on you guy's so i didnt effect your scores either. It's a shame non of the delivery driver's ask me for the code? there doesn't seem to be a way of reporting this as I've had orders state they are delivered when I'm still sitting waiting on it.

I've visited this location a few times, and it's consistently disorganized. Six tables are currently free, but all of them are still dirty. I've been waiting for 10 minutes, and no one from Costa has come around to clean them. I'm very disappointed.Consider hiring more staff or a dedicated cleaner instead of solely focusing on increasing revenue.

This is a great costa,one of the better ones,coffee's consistant in flavour and quailty and is very good and the staff are friendly and approachable.Only quibble is that the carpark is generally busy so puts you off stopping but then its ok when you go in.

I have used this Costa for years and always had a great laugh with the team at the drive thru window. This morning I did not, the team member accused me of being rude, when I asked if the sugar was in the coffee (requested at the point of order). She was clearly flustered but said to me it wasn't as I had asked for it after. She asked for my drink back to put it in for me, I said it was fine I'd do it (because they had a queue). Then it happened I was accused of being rude! I was flabbergasted there was an exchange of words I just kept repeating that I wasn't being rude, which was met with - I'm not talking to you anymore, if your going to be rude I will be rude back, and raised the palm of her hand too me, plus a few other comments. I won't be using this Costa again I'd rather go out of my way to somewhere else than be met with that on my way to work. Shame the other members of the team are brilliant

Didn't have food - but drinks were usual standard. A little slow service mainly caused by the person infront!

Always get a nice smile off the female staff and a good coffee.

Whilst the service was good, the atmosphere was quiet and was more like church than a coffee shop. Then the cutlery provided was not up to a good standard. On the whole it's a good Costa but just needs more attention.

Absolutely fed up with it being closed when they advertise they are open. They are frequently out of stock of something or other

Coffee and breakfast with husband, 10yr old and baby. Quite a wait to order but there often can be in Costa with there only being one till. Ordered the gingerbread latte and there seemed to be as much cream/whip as there was latte, this definitely did not resemble the images on the advertising boards. The rest of the drinks were as expected. There were no sauces offered with the breakfast roll and no accompaniments offered with the toast, other than the basic butter. The blue sofa by the window was absolutely filthy and needs either a deep clean or replacing. It definitely had no place in a food and drink outlet being that filthy which is a shame as I’m sure it had been lovely at one point. This is probably the worst Costa within the local area. The drive through is often out of order, which when you have a pushchair to drag in and out of the car is a pain.

Missed out half my order, Tried calling g for half hour to resolve the issue with no luck to any one answering. So I've had to go for a refund with just eat and try re order, however my offer was then ignored for an hour and cancelled. Very disappointed. Very poor service

Staff were unhelpful; we asked what hot chocolate options were available, to be told we're only allowed 'basic' options as we forgot my Costa card - which fair enough I guess, if that's a new policy We weren't asked if we wanted any whipped cream - not the end of the world, sure, but it would've been nice We asked to sit in and we were given to-go cups However, the drinks themselves were actually pretty good.

Over half my order didn't arrive, have to chase the refund myself. Food that did arrive was burnt. Only delivered quickly because they packed next to none of my order.

The ice machine has been broken for 4 weeks now. How can it take a company of this size this amount of time to sort a replacement? We eventually got to the order station today and we were told oh we’re not doing hot food today. Why not put a sign up before haveing to wait 20 minuets to be told this.

Met with friends for a chat while our kids had lunch at KFC. Was quiet, were served quickly and drinks were speedy. I enjoyed my tomato and mozzarella pasta salad.

Called in twice and on both occasions had excellent service. On the last occasion, I was served by Lauren, who served me with a warm, welcoming attitude and smile. Keep up the great service.

Place is always busy at weekends and very noisy due to large numbers of customers in the restaurant. However the large glass panels makes the place airy and inviting.

I came in with my son this afternoon and he wanted an iced drink that was no longer on the menu so he settled for a hot chocolate instead, the lovely lady on the till went out of her way to ask what kind of flavours he likes etc and after explaining he's autistic and tends to stick to what he knows she went on to make him a little a taster to try one of the other flavours that is on the menu. If only places had more employees like this lady, didn't catch her name but we will be coming back.

Just lately this place is a disgrace. The shop itself is closed more than it's open, when it is open, the tables do not get cleared and the place needs a good clean. They do keep the drive through open, otherwise it would be 1 star. Surely they can get the staffing levels right, although I have seen three staff manning the drive through but the shop has still been closed.

Queue was a bit long, and the app wasn’t working to collect the cups from my purchase… but coffee was excellent and the baristas were lovely!

Food came quickly but restaurant forgot to add the chocolate bunny that was supposed to come with the Kit Kat drink.

Enjoyed a very relaxing visit to this branch of Costa. Excellent choice of food and drinks. Friendly, quick and efficient service and must highlight this store has been one of the few stores in which we haven't felt chilled as a result of the air conditioning. Can highly recommend this branch of Costa.

First time I went here I ordered a bacon toastie and the girl on the drive thru asked 3 times what I wanted and finally repeated back "so you want a brie and bacon panini" got tired of repeating myself so just said yes, luckily I like them but wasn't impressed as there was a lack of brie. Second time I went at 4:30pm, the drive thru was closed so we went inside only to be told they closed half an hour earlier at 4pm. The front door was open, the lights were on, and the employees were behind the till. No sign or anything to say they were shut! Checked the opening times and it said 8pm! I think next time I'll just go to the one in the town centre or cinema.

Yeah a nice place to go, nice staff and a clean bright place ☕☕ its a shame, a bit hit and miss with the opening times, bad management on organising staff, been a few times when it should of been open but was not, tend to go to other reliable places 👎👎 Have been back a couple of times and even though manager as changed, some staff who clearly work there went in for a quick drink 25 minutes before i got my drink, people were walking out due to the wait!! 😶

Delivery driver refused to drive to the building, pulling up the other side of the car park, and didn’t get out of the vehicle to make the delivery it had to be collected in the rain from said vehicle across an uneven car park - thanks 👍🏻

Costa called to tell me driver had left with half order and to either phone him or send him back then driver arrived I relayed this and was told very strongly who is paying him to return with the items was very very rude then called costa back and was told not their problem totally annoyed and ready to never order via just eat again

Closing early due to "short staff" Half an hour before closing time. Why is it open til 9pm but will refuse to let customers in

The only problem is not being able to turn right out of the car park so you have to go a mile out of your way to get back to the M54, Telford Town Centre or the two retail parks.

Awful Service & shocking drinks! We went in for a few drinks & a guy was so lovely to the young hot girls in front of us, he couldn’t do anymore for them however when it was our turn he really really couldn’t be bothered (Jay or Jack) I think his name was - absolutely shocking service compared to the girls before us!!!

Good coffee friendly servers had takeout so can't comment on the seating didnt take much notice.

I like this costa. It has more natural light and feels less rushed than the main town stores. Plenty of room to park and a drive through too. As always helpful staff. 10/10 However I've awarded 3 stars because of poor customer service, it closes at 6pm on Sunday and I arrived at 5.27pm, I ordered a coffee and cake but was told it shuts in a minute so I could only have take out. Not happy as I feel it was a poor service

The best Costa by far for that early morning Latte! We often call after our walk up the wrekin just to chill before work. Staff always so friendly and attentive...even know what drinks we order🤣...well done all!
