Costa Coffee in South Staffordshire

Visted here last night and had a supreme service, lovely coffee and perfect staff

After waiting 10 mins in a long queue as only one person was working behind the counter taking orders and preparing the drinks she told me we don’t have any ice left so no cold drinks!!! Why would ice run out unless she is too lazy to make my frappe. Very disappointed

Shop says open 24 hrs but the worker states not open. She said restocking and will take 20 mins, so we decided to stay. After few mins she came and said it will take more than 20 minutes. I am not sure if this is true, we just needed hot drinks but I guess Costa needs to investigate this location. Only experience but a worse one. Came from US, that's good it's not my occasional route.

Very rude staff, poor seating area next to cracked main door

Rudest barrister ever. Didn’t even look at me or acknowledge me when I came to the counter. Spoke to me like I was disturbing her evening and an inconvenience to her space. If I could give a 0 star I would.

Big shout out to the two members of staff working though the night on Sunday 27 August. Super friendly and one mopping the floor whilst the other made me a great cup of coffee. Hard to be chearful at 1.18am but they managed it!

Outside is Reay rough and dirty. Not much car park space. On the plus side the ignorant cleaners do keep the inside clean.

We stopped by for iftaar on the last day of Ramadhaan and the lady at the till was really kind and patient with me and she helped me out when I couldn't decide what I wanted. She went above and beyond and I really appreciated it

There was such a kind staff member working tonight called Adam. My daughter spilled my coffee and became upset. He came to clean it up and reassured her, letting her know it is was ok and not a problem. He cheered her up by making her laugh and helped her to choose a cake. That kindness was just what we needed after a long day of travelling.

Title: Unsatisfactory Experience - Bubbles Stuck, Lack of Flavor, and Watery Texture My recent encounter with the Costa Blueberry Bubble Frappé and Tropical Mango Bubble Frappé left much to be desired. From the start, it was evident that the excessive ice used in these drinks posed a significant problem. The bubbles, an integral part of the experience, frequently got stuck due to the overwhelming amount of ice. This not only hindered the enjoyment but also disrupted the flow of the beverage. Additionally, the lack of flavor was a major letdown. Despite the promising names, the blueberry and mango flavors were barely detectable. The excessive ice seemed to dilute any essence of these fruity flavors, leaving me wondering if they were even present at all. It felt like sipping on a bland concoction, devoid of the vibrant taste I had anticipated. To make matters worse, the drinks had a distressingly watery consistency. It was as if they were prepared without the inclusion of any milk or cream. The absence of a creamy element diminished the overall richness and texture that one expects from a frappé. Instead, I was left with a disappointingly thin and diluted beverage that failed to satisfy my cravings. In summary, my experience with the Costa Blueberry Bubble Frappé and Tropical Mango Bubble Frappé was far from satisfactory. The bubbles getting stuck due to excessive ice, the lack of flavor, and the watery consistency made these drinks a letdown. I sincerely hope that Costa takes these concerns into consideration and works towards improving the preparation process to deliver a more enjoyable and flavorful experience to their customers.

All good, but lady was smashing 10 pound bag of ice over metal counter continuously, making such a noise that my ears hurt. No wonder no one was sitting there, I've ran away as soon as I got my coffee. Felt like I'm on roadworks not in coffea. Sorry for negative review but had to bring it to your attention as it was riddicoolous in coffea.

Really really poor. Dirty seating area, tables with puddles on. Unbelievably rude staff - bagged our food for takeaway without asking and then made a huge fuss when asked for a plate. Avoid this place - nothing at all positive about this Costa

Pretty poor, area is filthy, crumbs on seats stuff on tables, this is 10am on a Wednesday morning!

There were 2 people queueing including me and 2 members of staff didn’t acknowledge us at all cleaning the coffee machine, putting milk bottles in the fridge etc. Infuriating!

Hilton Park North services M6 - - These motorway buildings are showing there aged now, the services could do with making larger, for hgv traffic lorries for staying here overnight by the looks of things, now !! There's toilets, a Costa coffee cafe unit , a wh smith's newsagent unit, a M and S small food unit - - V well stocked all here!!, And a burger king restaurant and a small seating area to the left hand side as you walk into the main building all ! From the outside of this 50's 60's architecture building , looks looks like there's a top floor - 2nd floor which might have been a proper food and drink restaurant back in its opening years, of the late 1950's and into the 1960's and 1970's onwards to nowadays all !?? I would have loved to look around this floor, but unfortunately it's closed down, off limits now !! Very pleasant area, site all! But whole services could be made Alot bigger now and new buildings, and a new day's Inn hotel/motel built here all looking forward now all! N.hayward Glos.

I ordered a hot chocolate and latte. The drinks were luke warm. What a waste of money

Since covid I been using my own mug and Costa has started issues extra Reward bean the “Green one” in this place I been given dirty looks for politely asking for it, main in London and in other motorway services always I’m having this Disgusting attitude for no apparent reason I really don’t understand why it’s this paying 3.60 for cup not even getting a thank you at least shameful shameful shameful Costa what matters with your staff guys

I stopped at the same services going South bound and asked for a large gingerbread latte, which I got, and it was really nice. I am now in the North bound services and asked for the same, and gave them my cup to reuse. The girl was so confused with my request the guy had to put it through the till. I got charged £3.90 in the South bound and here I got charged £4.90. There was no point in giving the girl my used cup as she got a clean one 'to make sure she had the correct measure'. She them poured that measure into my used cup!!!! I didn't want cream get I got it and it tasted a lot worse than the South bound services. Useless!!!!

Watched the assistant manager mess up the order in front of me, then make a mess of my drink, worse kept costa I've ever seen in terms of hygiene, spills left on sides etc.

Great customer service by the lady on nightshift. Really helpful with choices and working on own she made everything on time and perfect. Anyone Next time if on the night route passing through say thank you to her.

Asked for 2 coffees, one with skimmed milk and they blatantly lied as my friend watched them use the same milk for both. Feeling rotten. Would not recommend

Total disaster asked for breakfast deal and toast deal wife's toast had all bits of burnt cheese on it .also could not scan my app for points then to top off they tried to charge me £10.89 terrible service

Helpful staff and great coffee.

Staff were unfriendly, whispering behind her mask so I couldn't hear or understand, she refused to tell me the information on a drink I asked about She rolled her eyes at me when I was paying. Very let down by the staff here. Coffee was decent. I hate writing bad reviews but this left me disappointed.

Served by a lovely lady this morning and got a caramel latte. It was the best costa coffee I've had in my life!

according to Google I've been here, I think it was a vending machine and it was expensive but hot and it kept me awake for the journey home box ticked

I’m being generous with a 3 star The North Bound Costa is in serious need of a Manager to organise and motivate .. only 3 people to be served ahead of me and it took 20 minutes never been in a Costa that I had to wait for more than 10 Mins with a full Queue ahead. Get a grip of you Motorway Services Costa this team needs sending in a motivational team building course

Standard of service at this costa was awful Cleanliness appalling and not due to being run off there feet only 2 in the queue I had to clear and wipe own table with napkins that are now behind the counter so was only given 1. Teapot half full and one of the lattes were tasteless . Not the usual standard of costa should of spent my money in Greggs

Came here at 1am. 2 members of staff. 1 really rushed off her feet serving customers and making the drinks. While the gentleman was just stood around half scrubbing the same area for 10 minutes. He could have helped his colleague to clear the customers then carried on. 5 stars for the woman but 3 stars due to the overall management and customer experience.

Quick stop for the missus to get her a coffee and back on road.

4 stars due to how bus it was with little staff managing the tills and machines.

If you gave people the bill for the food after it was eaten or mostly left in our case you would not get paid. Very pour service and quality of food.

They made me a custom order. The beans some how were very tasty. Not at all the over burned ones. The place itself needs some refit. But the team and managers are a credit. Bruce? Brian? Brent? I forgot, thank you for your attention. Mine obviously was more to remember your name. Sorry.

Latte at Costa normally v good but here very bitter also had a slice of caramel latte cake which was dry and not fresh, come on Costa pick up.

It's a regular standard Costa.... Infinitely better than crappy Starbucks.

Cappuccino seems to be an excuse to add froth and leave out liquid. Not in other places so why here 1 out of 5

Grumpy staff who need to smile a little, but the coffee was so characterless, Costa should do something about this! Probably cheap beans, no flavour whatsoever, like instant coffee. They need to learn a thing or two about making good coffee from the continent. Very disappointed.

It's the usual fare but the staff here are very helpful and polite which makes for a pleasant experience, this review is for the Costa on the Southbound side.

Nice, friendly and polite staff although the prices are extortionate. The grilled cheese sandwich we purchased had burned bits on it as if the grill had not been cleaned in a long time.

Always a great place to visit while travelling the M6.

Have just called in with my family for breakfast we had the bacon barns the bacon was cold the barns hard. One star is to many. The coffee on the other hand was great. Had I realised I would have gone to Greggs next who seemed busy with breakfasts food.

Poor coffee, even for a Costa. Very long wait when we were there, seemed like the staff were seriously under pressure and feeling the strain. Perhaps they don't get enough breaks when it's that busy. I suspect that the coffee machine was being pushed way too hard to deliver a decent espresso.
