Takeaway this evening, absolutely rubbish, missing items off order, curries very watery & tandoori dishes that are supposed to be cooked in a tandoor are swimming in grease. Pathia dish was inedible. Will never return again. No wonder there was only 2 table sittings on a Saturday evening.

Ordered a takeaway for the first time. Very salty and greasy. Won't be going back.

Our regular curry place, it never disappoints. Staff very friendly and give great service. On our last visit for our anniversary we were touched when my wife was given flowers. Thank you.

Ordered takeaway from them and was disappointed. Only 4 pieces of chicken breast in my curry, and the chips had a fishy taste. Both dishes ordered for me and my partner were very oily.Also not spicy ! I’ve tried a lot of places and oily curry means definitely not freshly cooked. Payed £32 but it was not worth it. Won’t be ordering again.

Fantastic ...the food is amazing the staff very polite and its very clean and well looked after. We've been here a few times and we've never had a bad meal and we've had takeaways. Very nice place

A popular venue with a good choice of meals. Friendly staff who were very helpful... as they were happy to cook to order (e.g, without onion). It was a busy Saturday evening, my food was not very hot in temperature... Maybe this was due to waiting for the cooked to order meal for my table. The dessert was the highlight for me, beautifully presented, lovely, and tasty. I would still try it this restaurant for a second time.

Literally my most favourite curry house in the area but unfortunately they’ve had a bad day today. Delivery was missing a main meal which fair play to them was delivered five minutes later after a quick call but the Rogan Josh was tasteless and the mango chutney and red sauce was watery beyond anything I’ve ever seen. For £60 for four of us, I’d expect more. Hopefully this will be improved going forward!

I have had take out at a few places, this is one of the best in a long time. The chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and Tikka Pathia, are the Best I've Had from any Curry house in the UK. The Peshwari nan is the second best. Highly recommended. This is now my no1 Curry spot.

Great fresh tast food, great service. The only thing I wasn't keen on was how close tables are next to other diners. The waiter started stripping our table while we hadn't fully finished.

Absolutely appalling. Customer service was terrible, was charged an extra £5 on top of each meal to dine in and be seated. Chips were cold, chicken tikka was barely edible. On top of that, the staff started to laugh at us as we exited the establishment. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend.

Average expensive food. Many better places in the area. Not worth the money. Chicken and lamb very tough. Mixed grill overpriced for what was a small portion. Everything over spiced.

Again I experience dissapointment from my experience of going to Codsall Spice, admittedly I have only ever gone for a takeaway which may not be the preferred option by the host but my reception never wants me to book a meal in the restaurant. The food was unquestionably good but I just don't feel welcomed, I'll contine to spend my £30.00 takeaway elsewhere in future, I just dont know why this should be like this which could be so easily resolved with a bit of good old customer service. I'm obviously asking for too much as a paying punter!

Ordered chicken tika main with extra garden salad all I got was lettuce no mixed salad it used to come with 3 poppadoms with lemon to put or your salad I'm sorry codsall spice but I won't be ordering again from you very dissapointed

The food was lovely I felt a little rushed as they were clearing the plates away before we all had finished. We eat early so not to many people so the atmisoh wasn't too good but I would definitely recommend it to anyone

We had a superb meal with good service and pleasant ambience. I had Nagris kebab as a starter which is a Scotch egg wrapped on kebab meat and a thin omelette on the outside; my only "problem " was that the waiter couldn't clearly describe it! For main course I had South Bengali chilli garlic lamb; the sauce was stunning but the lamb could have done with a bit longer in the oven. We will be back.

How disappointing. Really looking forward to a proper West Midlands curry. This was £40 for two mains, two sides, one rice and one naan. Arrived lukewarm, half full containers and swimming in oil. Tasteless food at an expensive price. And what is 50p service charge for when it's a takeout and delivery, (and a paid for delivery as well)?

Always go full of expectation, hoping there's be an improvement. Sadly its never the case, but in a one Indian restaurant villiage there's no other option. Food is at best average and the group all concurred, but what really does let this establishment down is poor customer service, bordering on rude at times. Will give it another few years before returning.....

I have never had such an awful Indian meal as I received from here. There are 4 of us and every single dish was inedible. Called the restaurant to complain and they were not remotely interested. After seeing some other reviews it seems this is standard! Avoid avoid avoid! How they are still able to operate is beyond me. Disgusting. Wish I’d kept the food and sent it to the EHO for them to see the kind of rubbish they’re giving people.

Sorry codsall spice but just ordered a delivery and it's very poor Ordered a chicken tikka dish shouldn't you be able to see its tikka I couldn't plain chicken And a cheese nan and it's plain And the curry was watery And you can't even pay over the phone first

Ordered takeaway was not impressed never again

Food was great. Delivery early. I know it's only 85p, but see others have said they ordered popadoms and were not delivered. Same for us. Bit annoying

First time of visiting with some friends and must say food was lovely and really enjoyed it would go again.

What an amazing place, came in for a table of 2 on a busy Saturday evening. The place was well decorated and the customer service was fantastic. The popadoms were nice and crunchy and the side dips that came with them were delicious. We weren’t that hungry so we decided to order mains only. The curry was nice and hot, it was spicy but not to a level where it isn’t edible. The naan was nice and soft and the rice was on point. Needless to say I will be making a return back to this place very soon. Thank You Codsall Spice!

AWESOME! We attended on New Years Eve and although it was extremely busy, the staff were amazing, attentive and the food was gorgeous, beautifully presented and ample portions. a huge 10 out 10 for a great evening.

I ordered a meal through just eat. It arrived early, was hot and well packaged. Enjoyed every mouthful.

Eaten here twice recently and both times have been excellent. It's rare I'll eat everything at a curry house, but have emptied my plate on both occasions.

Food ordered on their new online service. Food was amazing but although a minor error, we didn’t have our popodoms as ordered!! I wouldn’t normally complain as usually these are free however, we paid 85p for each one. As it’s cash only the only way I can get a refund is by going to get it!! A small error but made a big difference to the meal. To be fair they did offer to honour it next time we came. That’s the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars

Just moved to Codsall and this is the second takeaway curry from Codsall Spice. Nice food although not very warm. The cheese naan bread was a plain one for the second week running despite telling them. Staff a bit arrogant. Next time we’re going back to old takeaway despite it being in Bradmore. Need to sharpen up their act

Ordered two starters and two mains. Food arrived within 25 minutes,(fantastic) However the food was bland and massively overpriced for what we got. The main was a watery mess. Will definitely not order from there again.

UBER EATS....Total ripoff ! ...Ordered 4 Tandori Mixed Kebabs and 2 Meat Samosas, (£4.95 each) consisting 5 TINY pieces of average meat approx 2x2inches in size and 2 tiny samosas (£2.95) a small bag of shredded lettuce and a tub of Mint Yoghurt...Total Price over £26 !!! (Including delivery and service charge) ...Overpriced and tiny portion...Never again

Food was decent, but definitely not the best I’ve had. Only ordered because I had a promotion for a large % off. Won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately as it’s over priced for the portion sizes, which are not comparable to price.- half a bag of chips, and only just over half a tub of curry (the curry sauce cost over £8) And, they don’t send out free poppadoms? I’ve ordered from 5/6 different curry places previously, and I have always received free poppadoms with my order.

A nice meal out within our family bubble. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I would recommend the garlic chilli chicken curry, and the mushroom rice was superb. The kids had an ice cream which they loved. Highly recommended for a night out.

Shocking service from Codsall Spice, ordered via Uber Eats & no way of giving feedback. Advised 7pm delivery (45 minutes after order), chased at 7.35pm to be told another 15/20 minutes. That’s near over 1.5 hours later for a takeaway order! Add to that very rude staff, with zero empathy nor any apology. Suggest you avoid this lot. Uber Eats - do you want feedback from customers - as you make it very difficult to give feedback, beyond keeping pressing further update, which is frankly useless. #UberEats

Honestly the worst curry I've ever had. Overwhelmingly salty, no spice (even when I asked for hot) and extremely bland samosas. £30 spent and not even a complimentary poppadom.

Long wait for delivery. Came 45 minutes late. Ordered 7:40, promised 7:25, arrived 8:10. Starters 2 combos, good in parts but lamb chewy. Chicken tikka masala very sweet as expected. Kay Special chicken also very sweet & chicken chewy. Both dishes lacked any depth. Tara dahl ok, channa dahl ok. Would I order from there in future? No I would not.

First time using them tonight and the food was excellent, delivery time was excellent but its not got the full 5 stars for the following reasons.. Firstly portion size the tubs were 3/4 full, 2ndly for the price I expected a complimentary popadom or 2 with a dip and 3rdly there was no salad bag with the meal just a small bag of diced onion and cucumber would of been well received but other than those few things I really enjoyed what I had.

Lovely menu with all the usual options, but some great specialities. I had the Rajastani Jaal which was delicious, had a great level of spice, heat & flavour. Only criticism was the meals were a little heavy on the oil but find that with most take-outs. Highly recommend this place, can't wait to try another dish!

It was okay. The prawn tastes rubbery. The mint yogurt tastes like i have eaten hairspray. Would give it 7 out of 10. Can't fault Delivery though. I will try again and give you a go.

We use this restaurant due to convenience , it’s ok , not the best but not the worst , a little pricey but seeing as it’s convenient for us it’ll do

If you want an Indian in this area then suggest Flamingo Pink.Went on Saturday with 7 friends and this was probably the worst meal I have ever eaten. Poppadums were dry and tasteless, lamb passanda had three pieces of lamb and tasted like a korma, chicken balti had four pieces of chicken and the cheese in cheese naan was virtually non-existent.The men in our group ordered pints of cobra yet all received pints of coca cola - find it very difficult that you could mis-hear four separate people.Whether you go in here at 5pm or 10pm - you are still a paying (albeit a very expensively overpriced bill) customer and should therefore be served the same calibre of food along with the presence of polite staff.This was hugely missing on this occasion and its not somewhere I would entertain again.

Only two occasions to visit for a takeaway but defo be a regular again,great food!

We arrived tonight at 6pm a group of 10 we were seated and attended to straight away,staff were polite , food was excellent and children were well catered for .Menu is varied and interesting we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.Will definitely visit again.

My husband & I visited Codsall Spice recently and enjoyed a lovely meal. We were both pleasantly surprised when we entered this little gem of Indian & Bangladeshi cuisine in the heart of our lovely village, Codsall in South Staffordshire.To begin with there is off street parking available which is always a bonus, but the outside gave little away of the elegant interior inside which included soft lighting & spacious seating.I ordered tandoori mix kebab & chicken tikka and my husband king prawn butterfly & lamb tikka. The food was beautifully cooked and presented by the helpful and very friendly staff. We will definitely be going back.

We went to Codsall spice for an anniversary meal and we're not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. It was a really nice evening

If I could give it zero ratings I would ...had a sit down meal on a Tuesday night with 2 friends ....no meat hardly and what little there was, was burnt...the rice was also burnt worst Indian meal I have ever had and when we recieved the bill we were shocked to find it had cost almost £80 we definitely would not recommend this restaurant and we won't be going again...disgusting

A group of six went in at 18:30, service was slow and what seemed to be confused. Popadoms were ok'ish asked for lime pickle and chilli never got it, the salad was nearly all onion. Mark's so far out of 10....2.Main courses were mixed, the two chicken balti's and the chicken tikka Pathia were shocking, extremely small portions, and the chicken mostly gristle and not eatable. Complained about the quality and was told that Pathia makes the chicken tough....I told the waiter I eat in a lot of different restaurants and he was talking b@//@£$...so what about the Balti....no response other than I will tell the chef. Two Keama nans had very thin and very little meat...and so it goes on.....all 6 of us were of the same opinion.Nice looking place let down by poor service, awful food, small portions and well over priced.Would I recommend this place as a must go.....no.....more of a must not go.

Really nice food and a nice selection of Indian beers. Bangla was a nice one I haven't had before. It was quiet when we went in and the staff were great. Kids loved it too.

Last minute we decided to have a curry this evening. They fitted us in, the service is always good. I had Monkfish Masala and it was very tasty. Small mishap with a drink spillage however fresh meal provided and cleaned up very quickly. My only qualm would be the waiter who was so polite and nice all the way through then when I went to pay must of thought I was going to complain that we had no discount because of the mishap I could feel his hesitation and he seemed ready for an argument, However no need for a discount as I said fresh meal delivered swiftly and mushroom rice to. We’ve have been going here for many years every so often. Good value and good food.

Very clean the tableware, floor everywhere. Nice furniture style, simple and with India culture. Great flavor not very strong which is depend on you.

Not been for couple of months so good to revisit. Still excellent food, service and value, so recommended. Local food with great service and good value.
