Costa Coffee in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

We visit this Costa regularly and it is always a pleasant experience. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and food and drink delicious. At very busy times the staff can be seen to be working very hard and staying focused on the customers. Thank you Jordon, Mark and all the team.

After stop for Coffee in the rain. Staff were very polite and friendly, food and drinks ordered which were with us within minutes.Table areas were clean and tidy also.

The friendly, helpful service needs to be recognised - it's a delight to visit Costa Hardwick Road - the staff are quick, polite; everything constantly tidied and cleaned. A pleasure to go there.

What is it about the attitude to customers at this new Costa branch? Surly, unsmiling staff there today. If they don’t like customers, why work there? They could learn some lessons from the delightful Costa staff in Swaffham.

Super service from counter staff. The lovely friendly girl on the counter was excellent and a real asset to the team. The coffee and toastie were delicious. Unfortunately we witnessed 2 staff visiting the toilet wearing full aprons. It may be me, but I don’t find this particularly hygienic.

Called here Sunday afternoon 13th November 2022. Drinks were good. Asked when ordering if could have table cleaned, told yes and when my order was ready asked if been cleaned, told it had but when i got to the table it was still a mess, wasnt happy.

I must say that I am surprised at all the previous negative reviews. Perhaps we were just buoyant at finding a coffee oasis on a miserable, wet day, but we found this branch of Costa to be clean, tidy and efficient. Other than that, it did exactly as it says on the tin, and we enjoyed our coffees and our visit.

Just called in and told only 9 people allowed so one of us must leave, including staff only 6 people in store. East European girl very rude. If I wasn’t so desperate for my much loved Cortado and needed to be near the motorway I would have left.... not the usual friendly service at all

Came here for a coffee stop just yesterday, it was busy but that's to be expected at the location, the Hardwick has many supermarkets around it and a lot of fast food places, so even with COVID lockdowns in place, there is a lot of activity in this area. We ordered (according to our receipt) at 12:03 and then waited patiently as per social distancing advice laid out in the store. There were people getting their orders before us who ordered at the till after we had (we ordered just two drinks, one person after us ordered four iced drinks with whipped cream and syrup and sprinkles and received theirs first). At 12:25 (still coffee-less) my fiancé (who was wearing a brightly coloured mask with a skull on it, approached the till to ask if we could please get our drinks, the barista then seemed to have a panic attack and run to a staff area. After about another 5 minutes of total chaos, a different lady came out and shouted across the store that she was 'hsving an issue with a member of staff' and was terribly sorry then stating to my fiancé that she shouldn't be wearing the mask she was. Implying this whole thing was her fault. By this time it's close on 12:40, so they make our drinks (and got the order wrong first time around). Overall abhorrent, inexcusable organisational errors and disgusting customer service. Will save money by never returning. Don't go in on a Sunday lunchtime as the staff are woefully incompetent in all aspects. Had to spend half an hour consoling my fiancé afterwards. 1 star is too many.

Just come over for coffee with my partner for our birthday. Very rude lady at the till with no manners or customer service skills. We do understand it's not an easy time at moment with Covid-19 but some people only use it as an excuse to be rude with customers. The name of this lady is Jacqui very rude never again i will come inside if i see this lady on shift

Disorganized, weren't sure how to prepare frostinos, latte was awful with no taste of coffee, pigs in blanket sandwich was ok tho

Store set out well for following COVID guidence. Incredibly slow working through orders. I've been in several other Costa's over the last few weeks and all seemed much quicker. Wasn't asked if we wanted cream on the coffee - got it anyway. There's also a bottleneck where you pick your coffees up leading to 5 people with very little space between them waiting for drinks.......to be joined by a delivery man who was picking up delivery items but basically had to join the group of people waiting for drinks !

We nipped in here for a coffee yesterday and found every staff member to be very rude, they couldn't make customers feel less welcome if they tried. I understand that we are dealing with new working ways in a pandemic, but manners cost nothing. I witnessed the staff very bluntly talking to other customers as if they were an inconvenience too. Needless to say, We drank our coffees very quickly and left. We Will not be back

Having used this costa on three separate occasions on each I have experienced RUDE, dictorial, and offensive manners towards customers. The three girls (especially the pink haired girl), have established a cartel of treating customers who PAY THEIR WAGES, as inconsequental riffraff to be bullied and spoken down to.

Very organised and very concerned you track and trace, sanitised tables before our drinks. They delt with one at a time so if your in a rush don’t get angry. Very pleased with all services.

This is one of my favourite Costas in west Norfolk (in the past I have been served by a girl named Jordan who is very efficient and polite). This afternoon I was served by Rachel and the whole interaction was very uncomfortable - despite me entering the store 20 minutes before close, it was clear that she didn’t want me in the store and was very abrupt the whole conversation. I told her I was going to run to my car to get a £1 coin for the charity pot and upon returning she had her back to me for a good few minutes, to the point where another member of staff had to stop cleaning tables to serve me. Safe to say I won’t be returning here for a while.

Costa Coffee (situated in Next Kings Lynn). It was unfortunately a case of musical chairs... not in a fun way but how about where to sit when the place needs a hand with housekeeping. I asked for a cloth as the table hadn’t been wiped, it was not just this particular table but all of them that were empty. A polite young man wiped the table over to then put the food debris on the unswept floor, this could explain why the floor was such a mess, if I’m completely honest I would say that the floor looked like it hadn’t been washed/mopped in a few days. Windows are just as bad and could do with a good clean. On a brighter note the coffee & toasties were good. Would I return... No I wouldn’t.

Quick coffee break and a sandwich. Just wish that they would still use the grill for the toasties and panini's.

Slow to serve and now they’ve run out of china cups. So my cappuccino is now in a takeaway cup. Embarrassing as it’s only the start of the festive season.

Today I popped in to get a take away coffee for myself and hot chocolate for my daughter, the member of staff that made our drinks was a male, talk, dark hair, he three quarters filled my coffee, I asked him to fill it to the top as I had paid for a medium so expected a medium, he gave me attitude back saying it was nearly full!!!! Both my daughters and my drinks were just warm and horrible, so poor service and awful drinks!!!

For me, the coffee is exactly the right strength and beautifully presented in a cup and saucer on a small tray. Also, the size of cup means the coffee is good value.Service is fast and unless I am very unlucky, the queue moves quickly. Staff, although busy, manage to keep the coffee shop fairly clean and tidy.Also, I have noticed that, since Coca Cola took over, some items have reduced in price.

Great service and great coffee. Will be coming here again. The only down side was most tables were full of empties on arrival

I had time to kill and so got in the queue of this busy Costa, I expect they are all busy. Lovely helpful young lady. I had a lovely toastie and a large decaf coffee. Lots of nice goodies here to tempt you 😊

very bad experience at the Costa of Queen Elizabeth hospital in Kings Lynn First, I only needed to pay a salad quickly to not miss my bus, but I had to wait for everybody before me to get their drinks while another cashier could have quickly checked me in the meantime Second, I am now starving on the train contemplating my salad since nobody gave me a fork Are we now supposed to eat with hands? If I am in a rush I shouldn’t have to think about everything And finally...Costa coffee tastes burnt!

Wonderful and helpful staff as I am disabled they help me by bringing my coffee etc to my table. I go there at least once if not twice a week and quite honestly I look forward to my visits.

I was absolutely astonished by the attitude of the staff in this Costa. The shop doesn’t shut until 6pm and at 5:05pm we are told they are closing soon so cannot serve any food. The rudeness of the manager was unbelievable and saying that it’s due to next close is utter rubbish as they don’t shut until 7pm. We’ve had many problems with this Costa, including many encounters with rude staff. For a big company, this is unacceptable. We spend hundreds of pounds over the year with Costa and trips like these ones make us so that we do not wish to return

I handed a £20 note over to pay for 4 drinks and, while another waitress was preparing the drinks, I was waiting for my change. After a short time and seeing my waitress go to serve the next customer I politely asked for my change. She then looked puzzled and looked at my receipt. She realised, at last, that she hadn't given me my change (£8.80). I know that Costa is expensive but it would have meant I'd be paying £5 per drink if I hadn't have realised she wasn't going to give me any change

With a new H&M; being developed on the other side of the path outside this Costa, it will become even more attractive when that's complete. That is adding to the already very good custom you get here.

What you'd expect from Costa really. Good coffee, Friendly staff, clean tables, clean restrooms. All fine.

It's a chain, alright. Coffee is not great but okay. What's not is the cleanliness of the tables and the restrooms. This really needs improvement. Staff was very nice, fun and helpful, however.

My main issue is that the cloth used to wipe parts of the machine looks disgusting and after the spout has been wiped with this disgusting cloth, this spout is then dropped into the next cup to make another latte or chocolate drink, Yuk !!!

Stop of here fairly often when down visiting the mother ship. Staff are friendlier than the costas in Lynn itself.

Cant really fault costa coffee where ever they may be, love the coffee, staff always seem to be happy, If you are feeling naughty try the Tiffin, yummy.

Personal amable gran café quizás un poco caro. Las cuatro tiendas en King's Lynn tienen personal muy amable. Lo que hacen para pasteles y sándwiches tostados. Quizás me visita tres veces a la semana. Ahora con mi hija la primera parada será en la costa.

Vienen aquí muy a menudo por caramel latte hermosa y a veces una tarta o un bocadillo con pan tostado. Es un lugar práctico y fácil de ubicar, estupenda para gente con poco tiempo libre. Café es perfecta cada vez.

The staff are great the coffes hot I like skinny sugar free caramel lattes just in case anyone I know is interested.

Called in for quick coffee during shopping. Usual service, attentive and pleasant. Good choice of seating both table seating or more relaxing chairs. Join the rewards scheme and enjoy the rewards coffee instead of cash.

Met family for light snack. All good apart from the gluten free options it seems we gluten free people have to accept Turkey and cranberry wrap yuk!!! option all over the Christmas period. Is there no one fighting out dietary needs as well as sugar free. I can't be the only one out there. Please give us more options. If smaller, no chain, coffee shops can offer more choice what is Costas excuse. Apart from that vent. Everyone else's lunch was good and coffee as usual was very good. Very friendly and welcoming would recommend a visit.

Brilliant service as usual. Sam went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He is a credit to the company. Very helpful and discussed the new Christmas range. Didn't make us feel rushed at all

I have to say this, been here a few times and the last two times the toilets were disgusting, the first time I thought maybe it was a one off with the most rotten I've ever seen but thought ok it must off just happened. Me and my partner went again and I send I'm going toilet he said u sure after last time I said it won't be like that's again well it was bad!! The public toilets in the town are much cleaner! Disappointed as love the coffee!! I guess it's Starbucks from now on just to know the place is clean!

Always friendly yet professional team make this a Costa worth visiting. Last visit allowed a relaxed drink with a family member. Usual well made drinks. Professional, helpful and friendly.

There is an accessible Costa on the High Street in King's Lynn although you do have to park up. Kings Lynn made, for us, an easy stop over during our travels and because of the park and some very nice inexpensive hotels, we left feeling pampered.

Bog standard Costa, with very helpful staff, wheelchair accessible, easy parking and a smoking area outside.

Come here in mornings for coffee and a snack or breakfast. coffee is good but prefer hot chocolate. can get busy at times being the only coffee place on the Hardwick to takeaway. Offer Gluten free wraps and snacks too.

This busy, bright and popular café sits on a prominent corner of the pedestrian mall in Kings Lynn. There are plenty of drinks available, and a fine assortment of cakes. We find coming here a great way to start our visit to this town. Only the short queue and the lack of table service makes this visit less than perfect for us, but this is the format they have chosen. A good place to come!

Was ready for a drink after a 100 mile trip to Kings Lynn and as always Costa is first choice. Very busy due to time of day but did get a table ok but was loaded with used cups etc which I had to move and therefore table wasn't in the best state. Coffees were ok the toast was good. Toilets clean.

We just wanted a quick cup of coffee so tried Costa. What a huge disappointment ! Whilst I admit it was busy, the one thing that stood out was the constant banging when the barista emptied the coffee grounds. Crash bang wallop, we both hurried our drinks and left, I even had a headache, what a racket. The coffee was not that good either, but perhaps we are both spoilt, as one of my other reviews states the best coffee for miles around is found at Legges in Hunstanton. We will not be visiting this Costa again .

A typical Costa serving great coffee and many snacks in a comfortable environment. Like most Costas they struggle to keep tables clean.

You know that you will get good service, good coffee and decent snacks.I tried the pulled pork hot wrap which was ok, and they have a good selection of cakes which are always great..

Natalie and her staff are always friendly and fantastic. Take time to speak without ever slowing down their speed of service. Come in every single week without fail and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work

I went to costa coffee in kings Lynn high street store and was very disappointed. the que was right up to door there was 1 person taking orders and 3 people making the orders so don't no y it took me 25 minutes to get served. I finally ordered my drinks for take out which one I had asked for double shot of vanilla which I was asked by person making it was it 2 shots and still manage not to put it in (cos they was 2 busy talking) . Overall worst coffee I've had should of gone to Nero's

Would confirm that this was at the Costa in High Street Kings Lynn.My partner and I popped in here for coffee whilst I was deciding on a phone to buy. It was around Lunchtime however as there was no queue in front of us I would not consider it particularly busy.We found a seat near the front however had to clear the table. Another couple were also clearing the table. I could not not account for the tables at the rear of the premises however there were at least 5 that were visible that needed clearing.Not once in the half hour I was in there did I see a member of staff clear a table.Come on Costa.....get your service act together! Next time I will give my business to the independent round the corner.

I asked for a gingerbread latte. It tasted nothing like gingerbread. The mug was only 2/3rds latte and the rest was froth. After waiting 20mins to be served, i wasn't impressed and i couldn't be bothered to go back and complain because the queue was so long (due to slow service). I noticed several other people had the same drink to froth ratio as myself. So it clearly isn't a one off. I wont be coming back.

Coffee is very nice (I guess to be expected) but what made a difference is the the very friendly team in this Costa. Saturday late lunch was a very enjoyable experience - just wish the Wifi didn't require you to divulge so much personal detail

Can't beat a Costa Coffee.Came here at 8.00am in the morning, staff very polite and friendly for the early morning.Premises was clean and tidy and fresh looking.

Today my husband and I visited Costa to order coffee and a cake. After ordering my Husband received a phone call and was called back into work as he is on-call. The Barista changed the orders to take away even though he had already started making the coffees. He remade them from scratch without being asked. All this was done with a smile. What a change this makes . We will definitely return here. Very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The staff smiled at us as soon as we walked in. The whole experience was pleasing.

If you're tired of walking round the supermarkets and local stores call in for a welcome cup of your favourite coffee and a treat. Nice environment and pleasant staff

Again another nice Costa. The staff and service is great, the coffee is great. The place is always clean and fresh and makes for a nice relaxing coffee stop when we are shopping.

I do frequent other Costa's around the place but this one always seems the most friendliest store. You never have to wait long for your order, its a calm atmosphere instore, and of course the coffee is top, but then they are the only chain that i can get a cortado in!

Four of us met for coffee and a chat. Two of our party are regular Costa visitors. Two of us hadn't visited before but were impressed by the quality of the coffee. Also impressed that they had a choice of two gluten free sweet snacks. Regular Costa visitors will know that their standard measures are quite large so, unless you're desperate for a coffee infusion, steer away from the large coffees! The staff were friendly and helpful, bringing our orders to the table as three of us have difficulty carrying. The only slight niggle is that there is only one toilet for customers. It wasn't an issue but if it was busier than the day we were there - mid afternoon - it could be a problem. I think we'll be meeting our friends there again as it's easy to park outside and handy for the rest of the Hardwick Retail Park.

Regular visitor when shopping nice that they have gluten free wraps, great if they could add to their choices but other wise a good atmosphere and smiling servers

I regularly visit Costa Coffee Shops and the one on Hardwick is, without any doubt, by far the best. As you would expect from any coffee shop, they serve a range of excellent drinks (including the elusive, lesser-spotted flat white). And as is the case in all coffee shops, they tempt you with a range of food, which - like in all coffee shops - is designed to increase your diabetes and empty your wallet faster than you can say, "Double espresso!" However, what makes this shop more than a cut above the rest, is the friendly and relaxed-yet-efficient customer service.The baristas are neither the indifferent teenagers who hate a working life, nor the hardened twenty-somethings that arrogantly shout at you while you helplessly peruse the options. Instead they are a range of human beings who give the impression (yes, I know that in reality it is probably an illusion) that they are delighted you have entered their establishment and are keen to serve you. I find myself wanting to go there again and again - not just because of the coffee (and porridge), but because I like the atmosphere and experience. And judging by the regulars I see on my visits, I am not the only one who has that desire.Oh, and yes ... they keep the place clean and tidy too.

This was not good coffee, had a black Americano and felt that I'd have been better going home and have a weak instant coffee... yuck!

What a great place to grab a coffee wether eating in or grab and go. Very clean and the staff are most polite and helpful. If you are in this neck of the World you will find it hard to better the service here.

We regularly visit here and always have a superb cup of coffee. You have to try the wide range of cakes and biscuits too! And the Paninis!
