Service not good. Ignored whilst serving later arrivals.

Staff and drinks where good Lingfield Costas needs a good re decoration. Takes looking wise for wear.

Tables were dirty and sticky, remnants of food on the floor, dirty cups, and plates on tables. Few customers and several staff behind the counter . The whole place looked like it needed a deep clean.

Staff always friendly and always a place to sit.

The whole place is always dirty. Outside and inside tables are never clean, customer toilet is vile every time, dirty tea/coffee cups with lip marks. Really vile! Sort it out!

This small branch was let down by grubby tables and uncollected plates on my visit. I would give the staff a pass if they were overrun, but during my 15 minutes or so in store I was one of only a handful of customers.

Nice place, shame about the food. If you don't eat pork or dairy / cheese, you're pretty much left with no options for anything to eat. Disappointing every time I go into a Costa.

Popped in for a coffee and a quick bite to take away for breakfast. Was quiet, with plenty of seating available. Friendly staff. Food was tasty, but could have had more filling. Went for the bacon and egg roll and definitely could have done with more bacon. Limited parking across the road.

The Costa is small, but it feels cosy. The staff in there are always friendly and polite. The drinks taste very nice and I would definitely recommend going there if you're in the area.

One star for this one, won't be visiting again for sure. 7.30am 23rd December shop was empty didn't actually look like anyone was working but turned out there was a bloke sat on a stool low down behind the counter. Ordered a flat white was going to use a free coffee I have on my account as I usually visit garages and use the Costas machine. Anyway, no phone signal, WiFi wouldn't work so ended up paying cash. While waiting for the coffee I noticed several dirty milk jugs on the counter. Can't have been from that morning, shop had hardly been open must've been from the day before. Pretty disgusting really on top of that the whole shop area was just messy and dirty looking. To top things off ten minutes later and about 5 miles away by this time turns out that the coffee had that horrible milk starting to turn taste. What a hideous experience....

A good selection of food available when I visit and staff always friendly.

One of the best Costa's in the area. Coffee is always outstanding and the staff are friendly and personable. I have seen a recent review about the cleaning etc - I have seen the staff clean up regularly, but when there is a queue in a small shop with only a couple of staff, they have to prioritise the customer at all times - and this staff team really does that. Well done Lingfield Costa

Poor show, Costa. I went there for coffees and snacks about a month ago. The place was grubby as hell - see pics - and the staff were friendly enough but seemed demotivated. The table was filthy, the coffee condiments bar was dirty, the floor under our table was filthy. There was was clutter in the walk way around the corner, creating trip hazards for the staff and anyone going through the (propped open) fire door. This included a full rubbish bag, a mop handle, and a cardboard box. Customers have to sit there and watch this mess with their coffee. The dumpster is parked outside the conservatory window so you get to watch staff dumping the waste in there. In summary, whoever manages this Costa has given up.

Not a lover of big chains, when it comes to coffee shops. Drinks are to large for old folk like myself, (constantly needing a wee) Maybe they Thinking is 'value for money, taking in size and price' Will I go back ? Yes and do my usual and not drink it all. Smaller servings for us blander challenge people please.

Have to say whenever we have called in for a coffee we are always greeted with a smile and most courteous service. Would like to give a mention to young lady by the name of Beth who always goes the extra mile

Friendly and efficient when I went in today. The lovely lady recognised I was waiting outside with my dog and after someone ordered on my behalf she came out to bring my coffee. It was busy and only 2 staff but they did a great job.

Costa, do you think I need to say anything more? Best coffee in England in my opinion. A very good travel companion. Always the same taste. Their shop is always clean and hygienic. Their baristas are always smiling and clean. Good service, good service, excellent taste. I highly recommend. Thank you...

I thought this Costa would go downhill after the really friendly and efficient Jenna left but having popped in twice this eeek I have to say how impressed I have been with Ben. A really friendly and efficient young man and a credit to Costa.

Had to wait nearly 25 minutes to be served _ sat morning. Coffee ok not that hot. Shame. Not really covid friendly with people queuing next to tables and people without masks.

Amazing! Half price today! What a lovely Christmas present. Really friendly service again today. Sat inside as a bit dreary outside.

Great bolthole in Lingfield with parking on the other side of the street. The shops wasn't busy when we stopped in at 1030am so service was quick.

It was busy inside and orders took a while but there was space outside to sit during Covid.

Shockingly grubby Costa coffee shop in Lingfield. Our table was filthy with ketchup on the rim and coffee puddles on the top. Noone came to clean it and my wife had to ask for towels to clean it. There were fruit flies all over the cakes. The lady serving the coffees knocked a load of lids into the floor on customer collection area. A customer picked them up and gave them back to her. You could see her first thought was to throw them straight into the bin, but no, she turned away from the bin and put them all on a plate on the side - no doubt to stack them back up with the other lids once customers who had seen it had all gone so that there wasn't any issue with being challenged on wastage. Windowsills, tables, chairs and floor all incredibly grubby which given we are in middle of covid 19 outbreak is a very sad sight to see that this branch clearly do not give high importance to cleanliness. Avoid this place like you would Covid 19

Arrived half hour before closing. Jenna served us. She was friendly and efficient. Very smiley and welcoming. Other staff had started to clean the cafe floor but were really polite making sure we could sit where we pleased without getting in our way. Nice atmosphere

Slow service an the shop an coffee machine an sides behind the counter were not very clean the lady working there spilt a drink the wiped ot with tissue went back behind the counter sn never washed her hands

Typical of the brand in the centre of the village. Limited parking availability in the immediate vicinity but this shouldn't prove to be a big problem.

I am not a fan of Costa coffee.for me the coffee is to bitter so not a fair review.

Popped in for an iced coffee and a babiccino this morning. Despite an empty cafe and three members of staff we waited 10min for the coffee while staff chatted away. Babiccino was too hot for a baby to drink, asked to replace it and it got topped up with cold milk, forget about the froth and all. Please train your staff for better customer service.

Never again. Tables wobbled so bad my coffee spilled on to the floor. Tables were wiped down but were all sticky and smeared. Floor was filthy. I expect a lot better than this.!

Very friendly staff and next door to charity shop where I bought French dinner set.

ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS. I left this coffee shop today feeling belittled and disappointed. Having just moved to area and loving Costa coffee I thought I’d walk my little dog into the village and have a coffee. I entered the shop with my dog having looked for a ‘no dogs allowed’ sign on the window. Couldn’t see anything. I walked in and immediately spoke to a nice girl who was cleaning and asked if I picked up my dog (3kg!) if I could order my drink and wait outside with her. The member of staff said she was new but couldn’t see it being an issue. Before I could get to the counter to check with another member of staff, I was barked at from over the counter ‘saying no dogs allowed!’. This women was incredibly unfriendly and rude. She thought it wise to tell me off in front of other customers before I could even open my mouth. I explained that I could carry her and just wanted to order. I was ordered to tie my dog outside if I wanted a drink. I’m sorry, but the outside of this branch has less than 2 foot of pavement and Is on a busy road. I love my dog and putting her safety above a coffee is ridiculous. I strongly recommend that Costa HO conduct some customer service training at this branch. Safe to say I won’t be going back after this humiliation.

Every time I go the tables are dirty and parts of the already limited seating is closed off for "cleaning".

Ok but door kept being left open creating freezing draft - sort the door out!

I go there a decent amount to be honest, cannot fault any of the team as they are hard working andpolite. Always a nice way to start the day.

Use Costa fairly frequently and food and coffee was fine but the service was not good . Poor communication from staff and it wasn't busy. Lost receipt and waited ages with no explanation for delay and being ignored.

As with any Costa, all food and drink is tasty and vary good value. There is free parking nearby, although you still need to get a ticket from the machine. At the rear of the Costa is a conservatory, but this can get noisy at times.

It's a good place for coffee, prices are what you would expect.

Messy & Dirty. I politely asked the staff to clear the table I wanted to sit on - she huffed, like that was an unacceptable request! Won't bother going back again, Costa by name, not by standards.

Wonderful store, very neat and tidy :) I was very impressed with the amazing service I received in store, the young lady behind the bar even tempted me to get a delicious chocolate twist which was washed down very nicely by my cappuccino, will defiantly become a regular customer now!!

It's a Costa... like most of has a pleasant atmosphere even when busy, it's not very buggy and wheelchair friendly so if you have children it's best to meet when it's quiet there. But it is a very small shop !! They have made use of the space, great coffee and food but an even better staff team.

Pleasant atmosphere, but a little slow making drinks, I believe this is because it hasn't been opened that long and they're still finding their feet. Still worth a visit.
