Costa Coffee in Broxtowe

Popped in for a coffee & cake, unfortunately my son ended up spilling my drink over me & himself. They were very helpful to clear up a kindly replaced my iced latte which was very appreciated.

5.30pm Saturday , no one else waiting to be served, ordered 2 large hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. The very pleasant assistant unfortunately hadn't mixed enough hot chocolate so had to mix more to top up the drinks, she went to get the cream from the fridge and the container was empty so had to mix some more. We eventually got our drinks and went to find a table, two tables where taken by customers and all the other tables where full of empty pots and plates. By the time we had cleared a table ourselves and sat down both drinks were just warm. We drank two thirds and left. Not a good experience and a waste of £10.40.

Very busy store but sadly understaffed and this is obvious when watching the staff on duty trying to serve, clean, prepare drinks and food and you can see the stress on their faces. This is not the first time visiting this store and what surprises me is the fast staff turnover here. No wonder if their working environment is stressful and management seem more bothered about targets than staff welfare!

4.30 and time to clean...banging chairs, tables to swwep and mop and spraying cleaner near me. Miserable server and rest of staff the same. Be better if a section was closed to clean as it'll have to be done again when closed. Coffee was good!

Costa within Next is a good coffee stop for a cappuccino whilst shopping at the Giltbrook Retail Park. The service is good even though the table numbers have been reduced because of Coronavirus. Always enjoy a Costa and this venue is no exception.

So I Went with my family and started to make my order and the boy who is taking the orders was really weird, didn’t understand anything and confusing as well 😡😡 He let me mad so it was a bad day in my favourite cafe 😥😥

Ran out of the drink everyone wanted so only 1 out of the 5 members ended up with a drink. Was hard to find a table as most areas were blocked off due to to “cleaning” but no one was actually cleaning. ( Baring in mind it WAS NOT busy) The one family member returned their drink and it was mostly throth. The remaining table were also filthy and had past drink spills on them. This place needs a decent clean!

An evening drive to Giltbrook Retail Park for a 3 piece suit was on the cards. I was looking for something that said “celebrations” but then “professional”! Taking the turn off the round about at Giltbrook an taking the first exit into the car park in front of Next I spotted the Next sign lite up nice an bright an just underneath it I spotted smaller sweeter letters spelling “Costa”! It was at that moment I realised that society simply cannot go shopping without having a caffeine fix also! Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining because I admit I also fall into that category! In fact I will simply plan my trips around the coffee I can consume on the way! After parking up and entering the building I began a very long winded stressful shop for my suit! I suddenly realised why they put a Costa within the store... it’s to calm you down after the stress of clothes shopping! Once I had finished an purchased what I had set out too get I entered the heaven that was Costa! Although a fine selection of cakes an delights were on offer I chose to just go with a satisfying Large cappuccino with soya milk an topped with chocolate powder sprinkled over the froth! It was safe to say it certainly calmed my nerves after shopping! The atmosphere in the coffee shop was nice an calm an it almost felt naughty having a coffee that felt so late with it being dark outside! I will certainly be returning here again for future shopping trips.... although I did spot a Starbucks across the road simply rivalling Costa! Could this be my next shopping trip coffee stop!? A look around Next then a relaxing coffee accompanied by a Mince pie that we shared. All staff fine. Will go again

We could not find a clean table, nor many clean chairs. It looked like nothing had been cleaned for a long time. Whilst drinking I was facing the servers. They were standing chatting, totally oblivious to the filth around them. Not thinking to get a cloth to clean the tables. Whilst sitting, one of them started to touch their hair, giving the other one some sort of explanation! At that, the other girl then started touching the other ones hair looking towards the top of her head. She then started showing the first one her own hair. Hands then going through her own hair. At this point I felt very sick at the thought that she had prepared our drinks, Imagine my horror when a young couple purchased a couple of sandwiches to be toasted. She unwrapped them using her dirty hands! I then had to leave never to return

I took my disabled grandmother here today for coffee and cake, very easily accessible using the lift with a wheelchair, the only little problem was I had to leave my 92 year old nan sat on her own for a while because the queue was so big to get our drinks and cake, it wasn’t a huge problem, I could see her but I do think they need more staff at busy times, the lady serving was very friendly and my nan enjoyed her latte and Bakewell tart so it worked out well once served 😀!!

I think COSTA need to review how they store their pastries and cakes visited today for coffee and cake and flies all over the food mentioned to staff and was told we are aware, we rotate the food 😳 NOT ACCEPTABLE COSTA or NEXT if you were immunocompromised you would be ill!

Visit Costa's all over Nottingham and this experience was awful. Visited 11:15 Monday 16th July. Ordered a latte and a Earl Grey tea. The work station of the person preparing the drinks was a disgrace. Coffee everywhere but the most unnerving thing was the amount of milk jugs at the side of the coffee machine with already boiled milk. Must have been seven at least all half filled including chocolate. God knows how long they had been there but in this heat there shouldn't be any. Then to see the woman take one of these jugs and reheat it then pour it into my glass was a joke!!. Dirty, messy and very unprofessional. Told her I wanted milk from the fridge and got a dirty look. First and last time here!!.

I ordered a flat white coffee which I found to be really milky and lukewarm. I returned for an extra shot of coffee. Member of staff seemed irritated by my complaint and charged me for the extra shot. Sainsburys at Arnold make a better flat white. The lemon muffin was yummy. The aircon in the centre of the cafe is very unpleasant. Also some uncomfortable seating. Not the best.

Visited many a Costa coffee and as you'd expect great coffee, not here I'm afraid, had to return my drink on 2 seperate occasions, also the place could do with a good clean.

Queues, dirty tables, wobbly table which led to me spilling tea all over. Not a relaxing experience. The cup didn’t fit the saucer and the teaspoon was very stained.

Probalbly the busiest Costa that I have ever been in, perhaps being in the Next store is a factor? Usual Costa fare with quick service at the counter and staff clear/tidy tables in good time.

Love costa coffee and have been going for along time, but every costa coffee I have been in since Nov 2017 they have stopped selling the sausage red caramelised onion tostie and staff are unsure why... come on costa bring it back :)

This store is located in Next. Plenty of seating, never had a bad drink here. Staff very friendly. been here many times and will go again

La primera vez fuimos con mi madre anciana. La cafetería está en el primer piso de al lado. Ascensor, y también escalera mecánica para bajar. Los baños también.

Se celebró una reunión de negocios aquí la semana pasada. El café era precioso y había un buen ambiente. Me doy cuenta de que la decoración y textiles han tenido un refresco, que yo creo que es esencialmente porque la nueva tienda junto a casa ha abierto justo al lado de la cafetería. Parece bueno y un buen café.

Excellent. Well run by Tom the manager. Very efficient, and he remembers you and your order. It's always busy. There a good team.

Bien dirigido, nos volveremos debido a personal de limpieza dirigido y limpiar las mesas. Estar cómodamente y la tostada es preciosa tienes más mantequilla sin que cuestan extra, como la costa en el centro de albion.

After having lunch me and my partner decided to go for a cheeky weekend treat at costa in next. Hot chocolate with all the trimmings and a cake to die for. Lovely!! Busy Sunday afternoon. Great speedy service. Friendly staff.

I took my nan here for coffee and cake, it's located upstairs in next, it's lovely and clean, staff friendly and the latte, hot chocolate and cake were all great.

Costa is my favourite coffee brand of all the high street coffee shops (I like Nero too)

Decent Costa, staff were non-smiling but helpful, it is a very small store for a busy retail park, especially at weekends, it's on the mezzanine, so no disabled access, usual Costa fare and quality.
