Well said clearly on receipt espresso on the side. Obviously cannot read. Coffee was vile so returned and got snapped at. Won't be coming back here.

Very noisy in there couldn't hear what staff on till was saying ambient noise and coffe machine at the same time. chairs fillthy that we sat on drinks and food good

It's always a nice experience here. Great coffee and prompt, courteous service. I am a regular at Costa and am always served speedily, in spite of the fact that it was very busy today.

Lovely lady but never have I ever felt more uncomfortable in the presence of a hot chocolate. The bits were clumpy and yellow

A bunch of inexperienced staff who need training. We had no idea where to queue as we were ignored for a long time, despite about 5 staff members being the serving areas! Unhelpful. No napkins available when having food. Medium coffee far too large, no idea where this company gets it's measurements from . Paid extra for a special coffee as we know how bitter Costa Coffee normally is, but we had a cake voucher. Will not return, not a pleasant experience. No masks worn by staff either !

They ask everyone to use the app yet when you do, you wait 25 minutes to be told the order has been ‘missed’. No apology, nothing. The whole place is disorganised, the track and trace QR codes don’t work and the ‘one way system’ doesn’t work with the other signs… I.e. the signs tell you to find a table before ordering but to do that you have to walk the opposite way to the one way system. Chaos for an average coffee and sandwich.

Slow service poor quality coffee,server immediately offered to change. Why is service always so slow at this outlet ?

Visited the shop at 1700 on 2nd Jan 20. There only appeared to be two staff working, one working out front working the till and preparing the food/drinks and the other frantically running around trying to clear up and do all the washing. Both looking tired and stressed but still polite and helpful. Toilet smelt disgusting with a dirty nappy hanging out the full ‘sanitary’ bin. Looking at the other reviews staffing is a reoccurring issue however the quality of product Is still good.

Thought I'd go in for a hot chocolate. The queue was long and only one person serving and making the drinks. Plus lots waiting. Didnt stay after queue just took forever

Improved seating area and layout of outlet as well as serving counter following refurb. However same problem still exists here, takes too long to get served and no apparent urgency for the staff to get the queue cleared. That said quality of coffee is always good, hence why it’s so popular !

I visit this costa a lot and it is my favourite one. Very spacious, lots of comfortable seating, nice and cosy atmosphere and great service 👍🏻 Drinks I get here are always perfect and the staff are friendly.

Sandwiches from lunch deal had run out by 1pm! No teaspoons. Only 3 visible staff - 1 on the till who was so slow, one making coffee & tending ovens, one clearing tables. Queue constantly long. Didn’t ask for points card and no receipt given so I can’t reclaim my points! Refurb is lovely but they seem to have lost staff because of it. Need at least 2 more staff at busy times. Such a shame.

Popped in for coffee miserable staff to the point of being rude , asked for a spoon to stir coffee and was told to use a knife as no spoons REALLY ? Never go back there

Popped in for 2 take away drinks, being a Sunday there was a long queue as it had just opened. Ordered Black Forest Hot Choc and Praline Latte.. Not one word from the guy making our drinks , just put them down no eye contact nothing. To top it off the temperture wasn't very warm of the drinks.

Lovely place to stop for coffee, they also offer cakes, biscuits and savoury snacks as well as sandwiches of lovely fillings.

I visited this cafe on a Saturday afternoon with my mum and daughter. My mum had an earl grey tea and was given a glass cup. After sitting down (in a nice outdoor area), my mum noticed that the cup was dirty so I took it back asking for a china one instead because this is what my mum prefers. I was given one, but pointed out that it was also dirty. There was no surprise shown and the barista said, “They are all dirty because we have a problem with our dishwasher”. She grabbed it, swilled it out with some hot water and rubbed it (half heartedly) with a napkin. “That’s as good as it gets”, she said. I was then left to finish the job of cleaning the cup properly with a napkin, whilst wondering what my cup (pre-filled with coffee) might have been like!

I took my daughter her on a night out and it was great. We both had cooler drinks yum delicious. The only negative is the toilet could use a good clean.

Friendly staff although seemed overwhelmed by number of people waiting to be served. Long wait. Bacon roll ok but the coffee (Americano)was very poor. Weak and tasteless Whiteley needs a good independent coffee shop, maybe there is one?

Yes it was busy but the tables that had nobody sitting at them had piles of dirty cups and plates. Staff didn't seem bothered to clear them . When a couple of us asked a lad to clear them he was most put out and left food on 1 of the tables as he didn't wipe it down. The floor had quite a bit of mess . As for the toilets it looked like there had been a paper fight!

Came here with some friends. Plenty of seating. Very airy and light due to big tall glass to ceiling walls. Good coffee too. Costa is a fave of mine.

There is always a queue in this store, they really need to get the speed of service sorted as the wait time is too long - clearly a popular venue as other coffee outlets do not have such long queues. This is further impacted when your order is not provided hot which happened on Sunday - whilst resolved and replaced without question it was another wait. Cleanliness has improved here as tables cleared a lot quicker.

For s quick cuppa or a coffee, i recommended Costa. Cakes not to bad either, I visit a couple of times a week. 👍

Good drink and food as always - the only reason I’m writing a review is because of the lack of customer service! No smile whatsoever from the staff (particularly from barista with the name Rachel) had to ask for napkins with my panini as it wasn’t on the tray. Not great!

Me and a friend came in for a coffee while waiting for someone, good coffee, friendly staff and warm inside. I also had a raspberry and almond slice and it was amazing (no photo of it as I ate it too fast)

Nice spacious store, Always busy and fairly quick. Been a few times, mix of staff some grumpy and others really friendly but I like this Costa and much nicer than the really depressing gloomy Starbucks 2 minutes away

Me and a friend decided to go into this costa because let’s face it Costa is amazing and so are there cakes . We waited for a friend for an hour as we were meeting for dinner . I had an americano which is a coffee but it’s still COSTA COFFEE. But the brownies are amazing and I would eat them all trust me Ild give it ago . Lovely staff and enjoyed our stay . Good service - fast for level of business. Good quality - shakes as well as coffee. Snacks / food selection good. Value ? - Ok. Good coffee not cheap but the overall experience & atmosphere well above average. Enjoy.

obviously a very popular place, great coffee, service often very slow. shame the place isn;t bigger especially with young families and push chairs.

This is one of a massive chain which all seem alike tome. Expensive coffee and even more expensive cakes, usually a long wait to be served.

Visited at a reasonably quiet period on a Thursday afternoon. They forgot to take the Costa points in to account even after I scanned the bar code in so the price was £2.80 over charged. All the cutlery looked filthy and when challenged on this, I was told that it was the chemicals in the dishwasher making the marks; and that this was unavoidable. We have visited hundreds of Costas and this was the first time we’d had reason to question the state of the cutlery. We each had a drink, a savoury snack, and a cake. All were good, but the Black Forest Latte was tepid. Certainly won’t be returning.

It's quite hard to get a drink quickly in there s place as the queues are always too long, they need to find a way of speeding up service.

This Costa does a roaring trade so be prepared to wait. Staff are friendly and efficient. Coffee and food usual good standard.

This is a very nice Costa coffee house and right in the heart of Whiteley Shopping village. Can get busy at certain times of the day.

Love the hot chocolate, such a great range of cakes or biscuits too. Clean & tidy and staff are always polite

As every other costa coffee shop, its average over-priced coffee but great for social visits as it has a large seating area. Customer service was ok, nothing to shout from the rooftops about :)

A good Costa that suffers a bit when the shops are busy. Kids everywhere lol. The standard is the normal Costa standard.

Love Costa! Good selection of snacks available, coffee always good and always receive good service. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Nice coffee and quick service still prefer Marks coffee shop but this is the next best. Tried cafe Nero but had to leave as there were lots of dogs in there!

This is a good example of a Costa coffee house. It is in a great location, within a fairly new shopping Ctr, it is light, airy and spacious! The coffee and food are standard Costa but the service is quick and efficient. Good for couples, friends and business. It does get very busy at lunch times, as you would expect with the local business complexes just down the road.

Had a decent panini and nice Americano. My 9year old had a nice fruit cooler and toasting that was ok.

Great place for a stop off for refreshments. Can be very busy at times but service is good and queue goes down very quickly

Good location in Whiteley Shopping Centre. Free parking for set length of time. Plenty of seating. Full length glass walls give plenty of light & feeling of space. Expanded their outdoor seating recently, although mostly in shade. Standard prices & drinks for a Costa. If you enjoy a Costa, good place to stop by and have a drink whilst shopping.

I have been going to Costa for years until recently when I became disgusted with the amount of flies and bugs in the are where all the cakes are kept. The drinks are too sweet and pricey for what they are. There is no atmosphere, it's only good in the winter when you want a speciality hot chocolate! I much prefer Caffe Nero over Costa now, their cakes are covered with plastic wrapping and the drinks are more tasty and better for you!

I popped in here on my way home from visiting a friend in Portsmouth. It was in the middle of the afternoon and not particularly busy. The service was ok - not brilliant, the young girl serving didn't really say anything except to ask for my order and didn't smile! A bit of customer service training needed maybe?? Coffee was fine though.

I used to rave about this place, but unfortunately it's gone way down hill.It seems that this was one of the best places only because of the staff that used to be there, pretty much all the original staff have left or gone to other Costa outlets leaving this opposite poundland less than good. The staff are nowhere as friendly or as helpful as any of the previous ones, our drinks were not as we had asked for, it's just not good in this one anymore.Sorry Costa maybe as your growing as a company so quick you have no time to get the staff up to their predecessors quality.Such a shame

Generally food with lots of space for seating. Although good, it isn't my favourite coffee place as I found their coffee a little too bland .. Almost no daring to have a coffee taste! Their special drinks are generally good and different.

The staff are always helpful and smiling. The tables are cleared quickly and the toilets kept clean. Oh and the coffee is great as usual.

Although a busy unit, service is of a high standard and in a clean and pleasant environment. Copies very favourably with other similar businesses in the area.

I go to this Costa three or four times a week as it is conveniently located. I have learned to be very very careful and always check my coffee before I leave. The girls behind the counter (that is most days) do not listen to the orders or just choose to ignore what you have told them, all the while looking like they really do not want to be there. They smile to each other but not the customers. I ask for a white americano, get black, ask for caramel only to discover it is not there, ask for cold milk, get hot. The list is endless. The only saving grace in that place is the manager and the one barista (ginger, HE is very nice), who are always polite and guarantee a service with a smile while getting my coffee right. I will keep going there, just because of the location (closest place for coffee), but definitely not because of the staff who don't even have enough pride in their work to keep the place clean or comb their hair to look presentable. Ladies, please.

On a corner of the shopping centre, all the usual Costa stuff, so there will be no surprises. The good bit is that as it is on the corner the outside tables often have a few that are in the sun most times of the day (assuming it is not raining). This makes it a bit better than your average Costa.

The rudest and most awful coffee shop that I gave been to in years. The assistant was furious that I should be there to ask for coffe. She bought me toast and literally dropped it on the table. I thanked her and she totally ignored my thanks. A nasty experience. Then my daughter joined and as doing, as she sat down she said..." awful service, what rude people". I certainly will not be going there again, a total insult and waste of time.

Never understood the mania for coffee but haven't marked them down because of it. Despite the place being little more than half full and some four or five behind the counter, the queue hardly moved and it took longer to get served than it did to drink the coffee or tea and/or eat the cake.Most disappointing is the inadequate toilet facilities. Only two on offer, both unisex, and one of these is for disabled.

Why does it have to take so long to get served? I think this may be a problem with this whole chain of coffee shops, but someone somewhere has to look into why it takes so long.

Having been in both Starbucks and Costa - its all a matter for which coffee you prefer. Having been to this Costa a number of times, they offer the usual array of drinks along with lots of sweet treats and savories. Great place for a coffee and a catch up with friends.

Actually one of the dirtiest coffee shops i have ever been in! An absolute disgrace to the company!The tables were filthy and not cleaned between uses, the bins were over flowing. The coffee preperation area was also filthy.

this seems like a really nice place to sit and have coffee only problem is - the staff seem to take their time with the order and customers mostly european men sit at the table talking whilst they know there are customers standing waiting to be sat down the staff i think are too scared to ask them to move also they need to clean tables regularly others costas are much better.

The queues at weekend can get long awaiting for coffee. I think someone shod come up with an idea that is a faster way. But it is clean and tidy and staff are also polite.

Great atmosphere,staff always have a smile on their faces nothing too much trouble. The coffee shop itself is large and airey with plenty of seating outside for nice days..I meet up with friends most weeks here and we never feel rushed.

Muy rico cafe. Un lugar agradable, bien cuidado, con un personal amable. Siempre bastante concurrido.

Good quality coffee served at the right temperature. The staff were friendly and polite. I sat quite comfortably here using my laptop for an enjoyable half hour. Beware though, this is a very busy branch, you have to catch it when there isn't a rush.

Can get very busy at peak times but well worth the wait particularly for coffeeholics needing a top up.

Everyone in Costa is amazing! Such lovely staff who are all welcoming and couldn't do anything more to serve a perfect coffee! Love it there!

Been in here a few times now when working in whiteley and at best it's ok , last time I went in they had no toast which is a bit of a piss take as its there thing , and if you want a coffee early Sunday mornings this ain't the place , they must like a lay in on Sunday's so you need to walk around the corner to Starbucks

We always go here when in Whiteley, its always good and nice to sit outside and people watch. They seem to have such a variety of choice which sometimes makes it hard to choose!

Coffee is nice, always hot. Nice to be able to get soya milk without additional charge, good range of cakes, although not much for allergy sufferers.

We had breakfast at Costa Coffee Whiteleys on our 2nd day in London. We ordered 2 lattes and some croissants for breakfast. It cost us £15 for the coffee and food. Most unbelievable was we had to pay extra for butter and jam to eat with our croissants. You would have thought that these items were included in the price of the croissants. We didn't return to Costa Coffee as the breakfast menu was very limited. They only had croissants and muffins for breakfast and nothing else. The service was also quite poor. The staff weren't friendly and seemed too busy to greet their customers with a smile or give a polite greeting. Costa Coffee can learn a thing or 2 about customer service from Starbucks and Cafe Nero. We didn't think we got our money's worth going to Costa Coffee Whiteleys.

Costa Coffee is a great place to chill if you are on your own, or if you are meeting friends, before or after shopping. my wife and I regularly use costa in whitely before and after shopping.

Plenty of staff,even though it was weekend.Quick service ,lovely cappuccino,hot frothy fresh and smooth tasting.Clean ,cleared tables,clean crockery,good display of cakes biscuits and sandwiches,Good clean seating,good variety if seating.Floors clean,all looked good snd fresh.

Best Flat White out of all of the coffee shops - good size & ask for it "hot".Make sure you use your Costa Coffee card to save points for a free drink.

I popped in on a Sunday morning whilst waiting for the shops to open, as did a lot of other people! The Que moved pretty fast (the only good part) I ordered tea and toast. I took my tea and sat myself at a table. The table was filthy, covered in residue from previous guests, I decided to use my tray to cover up the mess. I turned my cup over to find it was dirty, not even a few stains it was absolutely filthy! I then look to my milk jug to see it has a massive chip in it! A tall gentlemen bought my toast over in which I asked him for a clean cup, with a slight hesitation he agreed and brought it back. It was then this young gentlemen that I watched rushing around bringing orders and clearing tables that he was not then cleaning after!! I totally understand it was a very busy day, I work in the industry so I know how it can be! But giving out dirty/broken stuff, having no care for the customers apart from getting through that long que, and leaving people to complain about dirty tables only makes things worse for you! It's not the first time I've visited this costa coffee and it's not the first time I've seen such diabolical service! I won't stop visiting Costa but I definatly will avoid this one in afraid.

Yet another instance of "designer label" coffee. Why anyone would to to drink this dreadful tasting stuff is beyond me. Don't get me wrong I am a dedicated coffee drinker and as they advertise 7/10 prefer Costa I must be belong to the other 3/10. They should also rebrand and call themselves CostaLot.

Overall this place is busy and it's in a good location within a busy well known 'Shopping Village'. It's clearly dependent on the daytime shopping clientele and is busy because of that. The Offerings are mostly 'standard' Costa products and the Service was good. I saw a couple of people having to move trays and cups from tables that had not been cleaned but overall it is a good Costa and the staff clearly are enthused with what they want to do. I would go back and would recommend it as a nice place to relax over a Coffee, Tea and pastry!!

Went to Costa on recommendation while in Whiteley at the weekend and decided to try the Gingerbread man and cream Latte.Havuing ordered and waited for my drinkl I was not best please that while I was waiting a lot of customers who came in and ordered after me were served before me.When the drink did arrive it was ok.The Gingerbreadman was tiny and it was generally quite bland and at 3.95 per cup not cheap

This Costa is great as it has a large seating area. It's a good place for meeting friends. The staff are always polite and friendly.

I have used many costa coffee houses in the past. The coffee and service has always been good until today. I visited their Whiteley outlet. It's a good size, the problem is it's very very noisy with only a few people in it, it's the staff and the coffee machines that make the noise. The ice crusher is so noisy I had to stop talking until they had stopped using it. The other issue is that we had to clean our own table, there were 7-8 staff stood behind the counter 4 of them not doing much. This is not the first time in a costa I have had to clean off my own table and I was not the only customer doing it this afternoon. On another note a big wasp came into the seating area and 4 staff came out to catch it... LolI will use costa again but I will not be retuning to costa in Whiteley. I will find somewhere else.

As a regular Costa customer we were pleased to try this outlet in Whiteley on a bright Monday afternoon. The initial impression is very good with a variety of seat types, well spaced, both inside the glass walled cafe and outside on the paved area. The staff were friendly and efficient, the cafe clean and well maintained. We are fans of the Costa Cortado's and from experience, quality can vary. Therefore it is pleasing to confirm that the drinks made for us were hot and well prepared. We will happily return when we are next at the Centre.

i called in one morning about 9.30 am there was only 2 or 3 people in the coffee house I ask for a coffee when it was served it was loop warm and must have been on the hot plate from 7am it taste was ???? I would not use costa coffee again in whiteley

Good choice of hot drinks, special festive drinks for Christmas (slightly more expensive). Both indoor and outdoor seating. Great in the summer for sitting and watching the world go by. Good selection of cakes and sandwiches. Staff friendly.

Fantastic polite staff. Nice ambience.Great flat whites. Sometimes a queue for coffee but these are professional baristas and good espresso needs to be hand made. Worth the few minute wait. Highly recommended.

This is a nice costa, usually very clean and pleasant atmosphere, the toasted sandwiches and paninis are nice and a good price.I have started having the Cortado coffee as the cafe latte tends to be luke warm.

The coffee is amazing definitely my favourite, the food is always good too oh and the yummy ice drinks! The service is usually good just had one time the queue was huge and no one was around, but other than that amazing :)

I love Costa! Definitely by far the best hot chocolate in town and the raspberry and white chocolate creamy coolers are so delicious. Two things they could improve on are to label the cakes in the counter to say if they are suitable for vegetarians and also to make service quicker. The drinks are perfect but you can be stood in the queue for quite some time.
