Costa Coffee in Hartlepool

Took my mam here for a coffee and staff were friendly and quick service I lovely a coffee at Costa my favorite coffee it was a bit empty we sat out the front of the shop and kept having to move our chair constantly as customers were keep pushing past which was very annoying so maybe rethink where we sit next time

getting a bit expensive so will not be going very often

My wife and I would personally like to thank all the team at Costa. My son is a regular customer, along with his support workers. (My son was diagnosed with severe Autism, non verbal and Epileptic). All the Costa team have always made him feel welcome, even when he can be challenging at times. Unfortunately, today he had an epileptic seizure in the store, Joe and the team were particularly helpful and we would sincerely like to thank all of the team for their care and consideration.

Had a toasted tea cake today which was very overdone and frankly could have put windows out the hot chocolate was only lukewarm, very dissapointed have never had a bad experience at costa but will think twice in future

every time i’ve been to this costa, the staff has been abrupt and rude - went recently and was told angrily by a female employee to sit down. while at the counter the same employee turned from another customer to say to another member of staff “i can’t hear her” in a really impolite manner. was told in a very short way last year that “we close at 5:30” midway ordering my drink when i came in at the back end of 4pm. on more than one occasion my drink has not been made correctly = one of them being a caramel iced latte made with just milk and ice, no coffee. there’s a general rudeness/curtness with the staff that may not be intentional but makes the trip less enjoyable

Nice cafe, plenty of seats, clean. Good service but lacking in Gluten free options. Had a hot chocolate but could only have a GF brownie or a biscuit. Lots of vegan choices. Shame people with wheat problems who cant choose are limited in what they can have.

The drink was spilled out into the bag so I never got to drink anything spend basically a tenner for no drink

Nothing was delivered to my house. I Googled the shop and apparently it's closed. I'm expecting a refund.

My sister enjoyed the Hot Chocolate. I enjoyed my drink too. It was a bit bland though. It was well packaged even though some of it spilt. The mango tea was disappointing and reminded me of flavoured water. The croissant was nice.

Staff not very friendly. Coffee so weak. Why do they only put half of the amount of coffee being delivered. Sorry but tasted like gnats pee.

I'm a support worker and went in with a client. We ordered his food and he sat down. I waited for it to bring it over for him. Then the horrid woman behind the counter lied and told me it was not his food and made us wait. And then ignored me and was so rude and disrespectful. Eventually another staff brought his food over. This experience was not only rude but upsetting. This is not a place to go if you have a disability of any kind. They will not be accommodating in any way.

Far too long waiting in a queue for 2 coffees ...25 mins to be exact . Not enough staff for location and demand . No higher chairs available for disabled to sit comfortably

I had a toasted teacake and an americano coffee. Both were really good.

Not your typical Costa for only one reason- it's filthy. So disappointing to see food remains strewn across the floor under tables and on seating. There was no shortage of staff for this to be cleaned up but the staff appeared to have no desire to clean up their store. We had to clean our own table and chairs and kick away food under us.

The gentleman behind the counter is like a breath of fresh air to say the least, some may say its to much early on a morning but he cheered me right up.

Always get a decent drink hot or cold.

When I am in Hartlepool I always try to visit Costa. Their Americano with no milk or sugar is the best tasting coffee I have found except of course at other Costas. It is always consistent with good, friendly service.

ATTITUDE of @ least 1 person (Costa) left a Great Deal to Desire ! Almost Everything mentioned to this particular person seemed to be an INCONVENIENCE !! Otherwise, Throughout Remainder of Shop & Garden Centre, 99% of Staff were Friendly, Helpful & Obliging.

The lady working on the coffee machine was very rude, she has stretchers in her ears and looks glum? She was disgusting towards my mum, she ordered a hot chocolate and wanted cream on it, this was put across from the till to the lady on the coffee machine but she forgot the cream so my mum politely asked for the cream and before my mum could get her words out she shouted "PLEASE" (my mam was about too) then she proceeded to shout "I hate this place, I'm sick of it". She shouldn't be working there if she hates it so much, she's rude and purely glum!. Many others have complained about her, we won't be returning as long as she's working there!.

Staff always welcoming, chatting to each customer as they make their drinks and make the atmosphere lovely.

Half a cup Costa ! Worst by far ! Not helpful, arrogant, Ignorant. When I talk to a manager friend, she can not believe how they get away with it.

Four people behind the counter but only one taking orders, the rest just stood around idle. Queue build up is ridiculous due to errors being made in the orders taken. What should be 2 minutes in and out is a 20 minute waste of time

Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Gary especially went out of his way putting reserved on our table, as my friend was in a wheelchair, to make sure no one took it while we went to select some cake. He was friendly and cheerful. We had a laugh. Drinks were brought to the table for us. Everything clean and tidy. Excellent service.

Snotty green haired girl needs some customer service training, talked at me and then was flippant about my answer to her question "do you want cream?" I said "however it comes" (it is shown photographed with cream, so pointed to the pic and figured that is default). Then her colleague must have asked her if I wanted cream and she just shrugged and said "I dunno, he said: "aS iT cOmEs"💁🏼‍♀️ as if I couldn't hear her and I was five years old... sort it out! Update: She has been on her best behaviour of late, until today, I ordered a latte and a bottle of Coke, "anything else?", I mentioned the Coke to make sure she had seen it (as it was taken to the counter by myself from the chiller cabinet) rather than given to me, she then barked "I know!, ANY OTHER HOT DRINKS!" I go there (foolishly) to relax and grab a coffee, not to be sat at the table reeling after her lack of customer service skills... such a shame she's in such a stressful job🎻, if she can't be civil...

Best Costa ever. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely my go to coffee place now.

This is the best Costa I've been to. Very cute guys work here. They are always friendly and cheerful. As well as delicious drinks and desserts. If I want to drink coffee in a cozy atmosphere, I only go here. Thank you guys, you are super!!!

Visited costa today and waited 10 minutes to be served one medium hot chocolate i attempted to via my newly downloaded app with points i had accrued and payment was taken from google pay instead. Drink was nice but service needs work.

Lovely skinny latte, only problem lots of tables full of dirty pots waiting to get collected people having to take them back to counter so they could use the table's

Alright place. It's usually pretty crowded and their paper straws make their drinks taste worse. Not really somewhere I can see myself returning to.

Not enough space between tables is a problem especially if you are with someone who users a wheelchair.

Friendly staff and fast service

I popped in to purchase a drink to go. I stood at the till behind the customer that was getting served. The customer placed their order but continued to have a laugh and joke with the server. After a couple of minutes whilst they caught up on each others gossip, the server told me I was not stood in the right place if I want to be served then returned to having a conversation with the original customer. I left with out placing an order. Despite this, it looked well maintained and clean and seems popular with locals.

Nice and chilled just what I needed

Today we had two lovely coffees. One was a Coconut Latte, and my husband had a large Latte. The staff were very pleasant. It is certainly worth a visit to Hartlepool Costa!!!

It's a Costa! Situated within the Middleton Grange Shopping Mall. It's nice and clean... Friendly, polite staff. It's a good place to stop and refuel if you're on a shopping spree.. or it's a good place to meet people as it's pretty central and easy to find.
