Costa Coffee in Monmouthshire

Cant fault the service. The coffee how ever was..YUK. Burnt..

Avoid! Service here is diabolical and shambolic. They don't prioritise customers in front of them, rather go off a screen and leave people waiting. When we eventually got served the pink haired server was distracted and asked us three times what we wanted as she was not listening, but kept looking away. Then got overcharged and had to point it out for this to be retified. Got huffed at when presenting cash. Then the final insult we were eating in (assumed without asking that we were taking away so everything had to be plated up and taken out of paper bags. COSTA HAVE GOOD PRODUCTS SERVED BY PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS/CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Always go here on my way to work, service is always speedy and attentive, team members always polite and working hard. Adam and Abbie are fantastic and always make the experience memorable.

Would have given no stars if I could. 2.30 in the afternoon, no sandwiches or wraps, six staff trying to make drinks, achieved 1 in 10 mins 🤔 Can't rate the quality because i asked for a refund. Don't bother stopping here, waste of time.

We used the automated screen to order our drinks and they were served quite quickly.

Adam was very chirpy and a delight to talk to. Skye made the coffee and it's spot on. They made me laugh and can't really fault the drive thru! We did attempt the one in the service station first but unfortunately they seemed to busy to serve us and now I'm glad because we got to meet two very delightful people. Hope they have a fantastic shift

Usually a good costa but today understaffed and awful service. Paid for hot chocolate with marshmallows, cream, extra hot. Waited nearly 15 mins others were waiting longer than me, to be served a luke warm let's just say less than chocolatley drink. Maybe when you went off to get the cream for ages and left my drink had something to do with it. When I took it I said could you serve that guy he has a coach to catch with his regiment, to be told there are only 2 of us. People served hot food and no drinks for over 15mins, not being given their cakes when they paid for them having to ask again. Your staffing issues are not our problem, your customer service is. I won't be back!

Amazing staff at this branch especially the new lady Joanne I go here at least twice a day and on all occasions she's is so lovely smiles all the time and the coffee is always good! Jo is an asset to the team x

Can’t rate the staff at Costa Drive Through, Magor Services Highly enough. The customer service, friendly nature is the best around. Skie and Emma who regularly serve me, are a credit to the brand. I have been to many Costa Coffee outlets, but the service, and quality of the drinks provided by both Skie and Emma are the best. I will always go to Magor Drive through now. The other Costa Coffee stores could get some tips on how to great and serve the best coffee from them. Well done as always

Bought a frappe and came to drink it and huge blocks of plastic inside. Utterly ridiculous that I come to have breakfast and find literal pieces which I thought was ice. Got a refund but no drink offered. Don't recommend.

Extremely poor hygiene. Handling food with no gloves and scratching her scalp whilst doing so. Refused my food

Never seems to be open, and the main costa seems to be closed at random times too. Save yourself some time and get your coffee elsewhere.

Like being in coffee purgatory where they take your order but then never make the drink. Infact no, it’s hell.

Convenient drive thru without having to go too far into the services. Usually a little slow getting served but the staff have always being very nice.

We had a very pleasant stop at these services. All the staff at Costa Coffee were especially welcoming. James took a lot of trouble to explain the deals available with my Costa loyalty card and how to incorporate it on my iPhone.

Really kind friendly staff. My family and I stopped over to get our order for a family of 5. They served us with efficiency, and kept checking that they got the order correct with such a large order. I would definitely recommend this place

Called in here on Tuesday 17th of March around 12.30 in desperate need of a cuppa after a manic morning, got served by a lovely lady (she wasn't wearing a name badge but I asked another staff member her name who informed me it was cath & she was a supervisor) What an asset to you she is!!! She was chatty, happy, polite & more importantly she made me feel like I was the only person there at that time. U really don't get service with a smile very often these days. Cath you made my day, they don't make them like cath anymore.

Excellent service, I went in with my daughter on her birthday travelling to my parents. They noticed the badge and made her feel really special, engaging in conversation. She loved it. Coffee was really nice as well.

Drive through? Like dumb and dumber show! 25 min for a drive through? 1 drink!

I ordered a coconut cappuccino and it came up on the board as a coconut cappuccino so the barista was obviously listening to me, then she handed me my drink and receipt which had a coconut cappuccino on it and said 'coconut cappuccino' so all was looking great and off down the M4 and to take a sip of my cows milk cappuccino - obviously you can't turn around on the motorway to go back and complain or drive to the next service and turn around and complain either. How complicated is it to put the right milk in the right cup? You'd think not very but it happens so often that it must be much more complicated that I think.

Ghastly americano very slow service. Need more staff and machines as those that were there were working their socks off. If they supplied filter coffee like Pret I could have got my coffee a lot quicker and it would have hopefully tasted better.

I thought I'd have a Costa on my journey today for a change, I ordered a large latte with an extra shot, which cost me £4.29 I had it as a takeaway so I could continue my journey. When I came to drink it, I was 10 miles further along the M4 so couldn't turn back. It was hot granted, but it was also bland and didn't taste of anything apart from frothy milk, even with the extra shot. My advice, save £2.40 and get one from Maccy Dees. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Usual good coffee from Costa and happy staff but another leaking cup!!! Filled up my cup holder in the car!! Second time this week!! QC on cups not happening!

The Costa coffee doesn't have a clue what customer service is. 5 people behind the counter. All busy chatting making coffees. No dedicated serving staff. The worst service station Costa I've come across

I asked what herbal teas were available and chose apple and elderflower. I could see the staff member searching for some time for this, but eventually my tea was made. I left the premises and lo and behold she hadn’t bothered to tell me they didn’t have any of that flavour in stock so she just gave me whatever she could get her hands on, which happens to be green tea and in my option this tastes gross. All she had to do was tell me they didn’t have any in stock and offer me alternatives?? So I’ve paid £3 for a drink that tastes like grass. POOR!!!

Nice coffee and snacks early in the morning on the way to North Wales, good that these places are open so early only downside of course is that Motorway service are a bit dearer than usual places but you get the convenience of being open 24/7.

Very slow service - weekend staff just not up to the task, except the young man on his own at second till. 13 min wait to get a coffee is not acceptable if only three customers ahead of one. Usually much better than this.

Friendly staff and prompt service with the normal selection of Costa food and beverages available.
