Costa Coffee in Derby

The food was cold and sandwich was burnt tasted like it had been sat for ages

My daughter had a nosebleeding today .We went to Costa because it was the only place nearby with a toilet. The employees showed big heart ❤️❤️❤️.We got help, wet wipes. I would especially like to thank the girl who was with us almost all the time. She keeping asking if we were okay and if we needed anything.. This girl brought my daughter a cookie. And she offer drink.🥺🥺🥺 Thank you❤️❤️❤️

The only thing I can fault any Costa on, is the fact that they do not do hardly any snacks or food for GF OR DF. Ok some nuts and a small cake that has GF oats and I can’t have any oats grains etc. plus has to be GF and DF. Starting with the manager at Kingsway, he went through the allergy book and checked what I could have and then he made me a lovely and most appreciated frappe. His manner was very kind and concerning, not only to me but to his staff and anyone else who walked through the door. The following week went back again and the charming young ladies assisted me again. They remembered me and we had a good chat about the allergy side. I must add they did check the allergy book just to make sure nothing had changed. On both occasions any utensils or jugs they needed to make my drink was put through the dishwasher, before use. It is not very often that I go out and feel 100% safe with my food but at the Kingsway Costa I did and do. An amazing team run by an amazing manager. Thank you.

Maria at Costa Coffee provides exceptional service with a smile that brightens your day. Despite being the sole staff member managing the entire shop, her friendliness and efficiency never waver. She's undoubtedly an invaluable asset to the company, ensuring customers leave with a positive experience. Highly recommend her service!

Got trapped in the retail park and needed a good coffee! Seriously - hour and half just to leave the car park because the place was gridlocked! Had the car park not had a 3 hour limit I'd have walked and not added to the problem. But I did enjoy my latte and cake while moving very slowly.

Not too good was half decent but food was tough and drink tasted more like hot water

The coffee and cakes are very tasty, especially the GF brownie and chocolate ganache. Our car broke down in the car park outside Costa Coffee. We had a five hour wait for the RAC to turn up. Craig, the manager, was really caring, he sent an email explaining our predicament to the car park authority so we wouldn’t get fined for overstaying. He kept coming over to check we were ok and were made to feel very welcome and can’t thank him enough. The cafe is kept really clean and the rest of the staff were very friendly. Great place for a break while shopping.

I couldn't speak more highly of the staff here, i've been in a few times with my baby and usually every time the baby is desperate for a feed, the staff always offer to bring food/drinks over so i can get settled and it's somewhere i always feel very comfortable breastfeeding which can be hard to come by. Thank you to all the staff for being so thoughtful and helping this frazzled Mama out!

A nice coffee shop located in a very accessible location, plenty of parking available on site and quite spacious inside though can often get busy during peak times. Amazing for a quick bite!

One of the better Costa Stores in the Derby area in terms of being well kept but sadly the staff let the visit down. None if the three staff members on duty looked happy or like they wanted the be at work, two drink orders were wrong, I kindly pointed this out only to receive an ‘eye-roll’ from the girl that made them, however she did remake them. Pastry forgotten about and has to ask for. It’s a shame regarding the service as the store is otherwise nice.

Like a lot of other Costa outlets this had used cups etc. on every table. The last thing you want to do is clear a table before you can sit down.

Ordered black Americano X2, received X2 with milk. Were vegan. It's the second time it's happened. I even left a note asking to pleasebdo not add milk. The refund from just eat is without delivery and I am without a replacement order. So I've just lost money for no reason.

wheelchair friendly. Had to remind staff twice over missing food. Bit disappointed as timed for a child's needs. No acknowledgement. Not at there best today sadly 😢

I've experienced few issues in this store. Spiders hanging on the wall over my table and rusty coffee spun was delivered to me, when I hand it back a sucastic face apologie was shown to me. Customer tables sometimes are dirty and it takes staff very long to come over and clean it when customers leave. There are serious hygiene issues from this store which needs to be reported to Costa and Hygine local authorities.

Tables are vacant - but every one has the previous occupants crockery on it.

26/02/2022. Opening time was till 18.00, I come in 17. 53, I wanted toast and coffee, but staff said they cleaned oven and coffee machine, I can’t buy nothing! It’s not a first time at working hours!

Mmmmmm coffee.... Seriously though all costas are basically the same in quality, which is great coffee at a premium price

Was so happy to finally try the NEW Aero Hot Chocolate, it really lived up to my expectations like I thought it would.

Lemon drizzle cake and a massive bowl of lovely latte. Fabulous!

Costa, as always is a delightful experience. You get great tasting food and great drinks for generous prices. The gorgeous people there, also work hard to make sure nothing leaves the coffee machine, oven, kettle or blender, without making sure it's no less than a 10/10 for everyone. Love it.

Half my order didn't arrive, there was no option for the remaining food to be delivered, but i did receive a refund.

Would give 0 if possible. Ordered via deliveroo and received a joke of a note with the rest of the order stating that they could make one of the drinks due to not having oat milk despite there being a ridiculous amount of alternatives. No call to check for an alternative, no refund, just a ridiculous note. The second coffee was supposed to be a specialist one and came as a white coffee. Phone number invalid and no other stores picking up. Terrible excuse for a Costa.

The hot toastie was in the same bag as the chocolate tiffin so half of it was melted everywhere, common sense really.

Didn’t realise the iced drinks don’t come with cream on even if you ask for it (assuming because of the way they’re packaged for transit?) also the smoothie unfortunately spilt, so half of that was in the bottom of the bag. But taste wise great and quick delivery.

£100 parking fine but staff happily let me order drinks and stay and wouldn’t look into asking the charge to be cancelled as a paying customer

I have ordered butter croissant but recieved almond croissant which I dont really like

asked for cream and coffee in both drinks and neither of them came with it.

Overpriced for what it is, not sure I’ll bother again the cheese and ham toastie was no better than a homemade one and coffee was average. No problems with customer service or deliver though just not up to much.

Not impressed not really socially distanced even though tables were blocked, they weren't far enough away. i didn't see any cleaning between visits of tables except Removalsof trays. The main toilets were shut so everyone had to use the disabled and It was filthy I'm not sure how long it hadn't been cleaned for but I was here for an hour. The food and drink was Costa you know but in a pandemic I was disappointed with the cleanliness to be fair the cleanliness of that toilet was unacceptable pandemic or not

Nice cheese and ham toastie but a little expensive. Don't give me Corona virus as an excuse. Slightly condescending Barista asked if I knew how to do the track and trace with my phone. But hey, I am 61.

Came at 5pm on Saturday afternoon, been told they are closing. Time on Google clearly says 7pm! Car park been full, review your opening hours! Really poor

Really disappointed with the lack of hygiene at the coffee shop. Tables unwipped and soiled. No sign of any basic cleaning procedures and would have expected sanatiser available and special attention to the cleaning of tables. Seemed plenty of staff - may be just not bothered. I shall give this risky premise a wide berth in future.

Costa shops are either company run or franchised but the general standard is good.

I usually use Costa machines, their choice in store is great but I like my caramel chocolate and I ended up paying for a hot chocolate and extra for a squirt of caramel. When I got in the car, my drink was only luke warm, and I paid more for it. Sorry guys I will stick to self service from now on.
