Costa Coffee in Wealden

Met at Costa Maresfield our daughter and her carers. We had hot chocolates and tea. Our daughter had a chocolate tiffin which she enjoyed. A nice Costa with a good ambience and friendly staff. The man behind the till was very kind to our daughter and made her day giving extra chocolate sprinkles to her.

Every time I come here they always miss the caramel syrup although I pay for it good way to make a profit I guess and as always as I’m already driving I can’t be bothered to drive back I can’t make it clear enough when ordering plus the give my order back to me so they do know what I ask for

Wow! Popped in for a coffee and was subjected to rude and unfriendly staff member!! This is not the first time and reminded me why i had stopped coming into the shop. A complete opposite to the costa drive thru at maresfield where staff are warm, helpful and friendly.

I attended the Uckfield High Street branch of Costa yesterday afternoon with my 2 daughter’s and a group of friends. I have never experienced such horrific customer service. I waited over 25 minutes in the queue to place my order of 4 simple drinks and then had to wait a further 10 minutes for my drinks!! The wait was so long my daughter fell asleep! There were two staff behind the counter and sadly the young man didn’t seem to know what he was doing. The lady who was making the drinks had to keep asking customers including me what we’d ordered!! I witnessed the young man giving a lady in front of me her muffin (which she had to remind him about!) just onto the table next to the counter, he didn’t place it on either a plate or napkin! This is so unacceptable and other customer’s who also witnessed this were gobsmacked!! I was told my entire order would be in takeaway cups because they didn’t have enough china ones! Also they weren’t full to the top and not hot. When I eventually joined my group at our table I was disgusted to see the restaurant was full of tables piled high with dirty cups and plates because the staff hadn’t cleaned them. My friend had to go to the toilet and get wet tissues to clean our table… I then witnessed the same young man mentioned above removing his mask (which he wasn’t wearing correctly, he was only covering his mouth) and serving a hot food snack to a customer!! There was no evidence of him washing his hands afterwards. We are still living with Covid and this is unacceptable. Hygiene is vital still especially in a hospitality environment. My friend’s and I were totally disgusted with the whole experience and a complaint has also gone into Costa complaints team and the relevant department at the local council. We will never go to this branch again.

Quick stop for a coffee while car being fixed. Adequate but dirty restaurant and slow service impacted visit. Will try another coffee shop next time I need one

Disgusting toilets, unhelpful staff. Paid for a medium drink was missing half the drink in the glass. Told that “this is the only way we can make the drink” there honestly was more cream then there was drink. Wondering how many people they do this to on a day to day basis
