Costa Coffee in Tandridge

Virginia is a real keeper for Costa, done a quick and amazing oat cortado for me, and i need to mention the smile and the politeness she has served the drink to me! 5 stars.

Never have a bad experience at Costa. Great tasting coffee, delicious snacks and always friendly helpful staff.

We were in need of refreshments part way through a long car journey and Costa Clacket Lane Eastbound came to the rescue. We had a very friendly and welcoming service from Diane and her team. Despite the busy volume of customers, our food and drinks were served as quickly as possible and were of the same high standard we would usually expect from Costa.

Staff were very rude. Especially the small Somalian girl on the counter at the small drive thru. She needs to cheer up or find another job. Won’t be returning and doubt anyone else will that encounters that employee.

Extremely abrupt rude staff with no concept of customer service (all 3 members of staff)

Stopped by to charge my phone as I had no battery and a long journey ahead. Joel and Dom were very helpful and friendly. Amazing service ☺️

Had the wrong coffee on way to the airport I ordered a Mocha but got a caramel latte, didn’t notice until I was on the motorway. I Was passing through the next day and told Patrica, she was amazing and gave me a Mocha great service from Patrica what a lovely lady 10/10 from me

Very poor service. Staff were more interested with chatting and laughing with each other than serving 20 strong line of customers. On top of that they got my order wrong. 10th July 2024

This place has very bad service sift time 30.06.24 8:30 ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ The one outside of the building the passing lane has very rut serving employees The Girl from the window she is very unfriendly, is a looking like she doesn’t want to be there We ask for 2 coffee one black americano and one caramel frappe She made a misunderstand, she didn’t ask for received, when we go to the window she told us to wait in a side because se miss the order after the frappe came with no coffee as we ask the black americano was made very bad as they remake the same coffee from the last order. We give back the frappe asking for a real one because nothing was as normal, all this time I didn’t try my black americano because as all we know is not easy to drink this hot coffee which I believe is normal, they made the frappe second time which was good, we don’t know if was also ok inside you know 😅 Anyway we left on the way we find out she take money for 3 coffee 2 plus the one she take wrong order. Very careful to the curly girl and her friend from the sift I mentioned. Will never go back there

Friendly staff especially the manager / shift leader on Sunday 23rd June 2024 and the two other staff on duty. Nice banter. Not run of the mill

Seating area was spotless, I ordered a Caramel Iced whipped latte & it was perfect. Staff are chatty & speedy, will stop by here again.

Went through the drive through Costa east bound, lovely staff and happy atmosphere.

Terrible service!! The store manager was at the till & she is not nice at all, she talked like we annoyed her by came there. If it was a barista we can complain to the manager, but when the manager is such rude in customer service whome to i complain!!! Even she doesn't know how to complete the costa club card.!! How come!!! Drinks!!! Just like hot milk!

Drive thru clackets - half cup of ok coffee and an ‘almond croissant’ which resembled a stodgy white bread roll with a bit of icing sugar on top. How this can be passed off as a pastry is anyone’s guess. Revolting stodge, the one bite I could bear to have tasted cheap and nasty. What a rip off.

The 2 ladies and one gentleman working here today weee exceptional, very caring and also excellent with their timing on their service. Don’t leave you hanging around very pro active and great team work I commend all 3 so well done guys !!👍💯

I have just ordered a medium skinny hot chocolate from the costa drive thru at clacket lane and due to not being able to turn round and go back, I am writing a review. 50% of my hot chocolate is milk froth. This is unacceptable. We pay £4+ for a hot chocolate, we expect this to be full to the rim..they must realise when they're pouring it into the cup and the weight of the cup....shocking!!

Newly opened Costa, male staff didnt even bother opening the store 20 past 7, rude and didnt even bother giving a reason... Wouldn't even entertain the shop if the staff are like that. 27/02/24 7:20am.

Had a flat white that was actually a smalll latte instead, and waaaay overpriced. Avoid this place like the plague!

Had a coffee with a mate this morning, the service was appalling, girl behind counter serving was as interactive as a traffic cone and 1 girl was sat on a trolley whilst making our drinks, will never use again

I only spent a few mins here but the team behind the counter gave off a wonderful vibe, some lol's were had. Great service and tremendous coffee. Might be my new happy place 👍

We just got a perfect service the staff in this Costa are amazing. Lovely energy and thoughtful people! Our Google pay wouldnt work and they helped us out. I hope their boss appreciates them x

For £4.60 for a flat white extra shot is expected seeing as it's on the motorway. HOWEVER, making it like it's been dogged in, no love, no froth. Just dirty water is completely unacceptable. Up your standards! Like I said to the girl on the till

The service is fine, staff are friendly enough, but the eating area is very untidy, dirty and unkept. Seems very short-staffed. A bit disappointing that there were loads of dirty tables with dirty dishes and crumby tables and chairs. Not a lovely experience at all unfortunately 😕

East bound drive thru is never open on time in the mornings, 0645 and still not open. The other side is always on time

Not stopping here again. Would have been twice as quick to pull into the carpark and go into the services. 8 cars in front of us when we arrived and it still took over 15mins. Ridiculous

The worst coffee and I am normally a Costa fan. Clearly the barista didn't know how to make a coffee, light a a feather and very unusual. I was going to complain but the que was to big. The mouthy team leader chatting to all the staff really spoilt the atmosphere and should be conversation kept behind the counter and not shouted across the room. Will avoid this one and stick to the good Costas.

I always look forward to this drive through. To the unpleasant woman that served me on 12 April……….. I really hope you find a job somewhere else so we can start enjoying our trips to Costa again. Not everyone is interested in your opinion. I have been to this Drive through so many times and everyone has always been so friendly and polite. I wish you could have seen your colleagues face. We flew through here this morning on Easter Monday! The young guy working at about 11 was just brilliant. He was very friendly and sweet. Not often anymore that you get someone who is happy doing this type of job! Well done you! Hope this gets to you!

There's a massive pothole on the drive out. Instant fast puncture, I had to reverse onto BP. Quite some expensive coffees you think?

The most stale, dried slice of Lemon drizzle cake I’ve ever been served. It was as stiff as a board and lacked any taste whatsoever. There’s no prospect of me ever buying a cake slice from Costa Coffee again.

Ordered 2 drinks and they missed one out and had to reorder, staff miserable and very unpolite, service very poor. For a costa would expect better.

DON'T STOP HERE. Very slow service. You will be better off parking at the service station, stretching your legs for 2 mins and picking up a drink somewhere else. Took over 20 mins to serve maybe 10 cars, one at a time. Once you join the queue, the curb is constructed in such a way that you cannot leave. I found it strange that the staff don't greet you from the ordering terminal, at first I thought it was broken, but they can hear you, they just don't say anything when you pull up. This was the first time I have ever tried a costa drive thru, and I won't be using one again. Also, £4.20 for a medium latte.... Just saying if you can afford that for bad service and a massive unnecessary delay to your journey, more fool you. A lot of improvement is required.

Just queued 10mins to get to the bit where you place an order of medium latte and flat white extra shot. 15mins later when we got to the window, the young man serving repeated the order. Presented a card machine and took payment and presented one cup. When we didn't drive away he finally asked if we were waiting for anything else. In the meantime the female youth wearing the headset was having a great laugh.. oblivious to the fact that there was a long line of frustrated customers and numerous vehicles passing by and not stopping. Finally a flat white extra shot was delivered along with request for another payment. Just had a sip of my normally mellow latte and it's bitter and nasty... Guess the flat white extra shot somehow ended up in there. Owners.. your staff are appalling and your profits and takings will be grossly reduced today 4th March if you don't fix this.

Terrible customer service and very slow. The two members of staff on duty don’t complicate with one another, with one of them touch his hair before touching food. I then witnessed the other staff member throwing away food that had broke in two because ‘she would get sacked if they gave it away’. Poor really.

Decent enough coffee, but may be the slowest drive thru in Surrey. Dont go if more than 2 cars are in front of you (you're stuck in lane once you commit). Park up at main services or go to wild bean at the bp as alternatives.

Slow service for one latte. Tables not cleared. This was at 11:30am on a Friday, so not busy. Mediocre coffee too.

They are late opening every morning, the opening time is 5:30 am but they always sleep late and it's anywhere between 5:55 and 6:30 that they actually open

Always huge ques when I use it multiple times a week, it’s actually quicker to park up and go into the services

I called today as I do every day on my way to work to get a large coffee,the barrista gave me a medium coffee.i explained to him that that was not what I ordered he said that was what I paid for .I again told him again that was not what I ordered,he then said should not talk to him like that ( he was in my view turning my complaint to one of me abusing him) I just said to him I would never be back.

This must be my absolute favorite Costa in England, and I frequent many, the staff are always amazingly friendly...got served byJames today and he didnt dissapoint..the team there absolutely rocks. Slow, often not open when it’s advertised and out of stock when it is open.

Visited for the first time in a long time as no matter what time we seem to go its always shut despite the sign saying it’s open until 9pm. The girl on the window was incredibly rude and abrupt and looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The sandwich I got was already opened but by the time I got it I couldn’t be bothered to go back and complain due to the attitude we were met with the first time. My caramel oat latte tasted like someone had put either hand sanitizer in it or dirty dish water in - absolutely vile avoid at all cost!!

Nice clean place, but the team are working very slowly. 3 team members only and 2 was working one did not nothing. And was 20 people in the row. You have think how to sort out this issue.

The latte was watery. I explained it should be smooth and textured. I was told I should ask in future for textured milk because a latte doesn't have it as a rule while a flat white has textured milk. What utter rubbish. No point in explaining that too little air was injected into the milk, because she was clearly going to argue the toss with the customer. This member of staff should know that the customer is always right and they never know who the customer is, what they do for a living and why they are visiting the establishment!!!!!!! Incidentally, I had to put one star as there wasn't a choice to have no stars, however, the experience didn't warrant one star

Staff refused to take order because I haven’t stopped to the talking screen before the till… Very rude attitude of Diana which shouldn’t work with people! You better go and find different job to suit your very rude and ridiculous attitude!

[Sept 2022] Chaos. Customers with wrong drinks, in wrong cups. Nearly £4 for a small Flat white - ripoff Britain.

Meant to be open until midnight. Pulled up at 20:30, lights on, staff inside, and a cone out stopping cars from going in... pointless. I recognise that staff need breaks but does the whole operation have to stop because of it?

Stopped off as usual on the West bound side of the M25. There's a young 17 called Mia/Mya girl who always wears a head scarf. She always serves us and she is so friendly and polite. A real credit to the company!

Lackadaisical staff. Standing around chatting, when tables needed clearing and cleaning. Not good customer service. Coffee cold. Very expensive for 2 cold coffees and two stale buns. Awful place!

Omg, the waiting times are unreal….

Dont even deserve 1 star. 1 ordered a lemonade and they just gave me half a glass of lemonade when I asked why the one making it said they ran out of lemonade and that they cant do anything about it. When asked for a refund they denied that as well and said it cannot be refunded

Just ordered drinks, one my ordered missed. A young lady look like she still sleepy. I told them that are drinks.should be 120 degrees for the milk. My son burn his lips coz it was too hot. I observed her how to steam the milk and it was way far the standard of hot milk 180degrees. Also messy around spill of coffee every where, she. I doesn’t even bother to wipe it.or clean. Where was the standard of Costa?!?

Lovely hot chocolate fresh and quick service

located between junctions 5 and 6 on the M25, with separate buildings serving traffic on both sides of the motorway. There was a bit a long line to be served and all I wanted was a coffee and hot chocolate. There was 1 person taking in the orders and 1 person making the orders eventually the manager joined in to help but there was not a significant reduction in waiting time. The hot drink ok, but the waiting did not add to my positive experience

It is a spacious coffee shop, with a balanced environment. There were a manageable queue. Not much interesting option for snaks. Had one latte and one hot chocolate marshmallow and cream, which was forgotten to put. Upon reminding I had both but the marshmallow was so big that it did not melt a little. Enjoy 😊

Poor stock control, never have the popular breakfast items available after 6.00 am. Difficult to hear at ordering point die to proximity to M25

They didnt have the Drive Through section opened today. There was a long queue of customers. There was a femal member of the staff taking down the orders from the customers queuing up. It was so stressful for me to listen to this not that pleasant voice shouting back the orders to the staff! How hard it must've been for the poor staff while making tea and coffee, to take the orderes down shouted back to them at the same time! I didn't want to eat anything in that situation. When we went to relax with a hot drink and a cake, the situation was the opposite! it was very stressful for us! Just got the drink and left!
