Costa Coffee in Birmingham

My only complaint is that the milk was overheated for my cappuccino and a member of staff had long hair which was not tied back.

Rude “barista” with red hair abruptly shouted that the toilet was out of order and rolled her eyes at me as she walked away. - then ignored me when I asked her not to roll her eyes at me.

I would love to present a heartfelt thank you to Aisha, Elias and Harry that have provided me excellent customer service in terms of addressing my needs that made me not only to definitely want to come back but also to let others know of this lovely place that has a wonderful ambiance with a family touch.

Sent standard latte instead of chai latte..Theirs a big difference in taste so you can tellthe difference. Chai latte flavours/spices/cardamon..standard lattee no sugar..Its not the forst time this has happened either. Im just not gonna order again n

Ordered tropical mango bubble.only to get back and found it had no bubbles. If they listened to customer more....

I like costa but today I was made to feel I was more an inconvenience once the staff had finally finished their conversation the lady took my order only to wait another 15 mins for a coffee to be made

Feedback I would like to provide you with positive feedback chantelle at Costa Coffee kings heath which I believe is the best costa in Birmingham Chantelle is brilliant in all aspects, her role, her approach, her listening, understanding and her response to the issues in finding best ways to address them. Chantelle is not judgemental nor bias. I fully appreciate chantelle time, her hard work and effort. Although it is her job, she truly take that extra mile (goes above and beyond) to ensure that he provide efficient advice and service. And I cannot thank her enough. It is very rare to find one that is very dedicated, who listens and understands. And is willing to do a job to the best of their ability. I greatly value her role and hardwork. And I greatly thank her . Well recommended costa in Birmingham.

As a Neurodivergent Autistic person who struggles with public interactions I must commend the staff at Costa Kings Heath with special thanks to Lera who helped me access the toilet before I had purchased my coffee. The staff go above and beyond and I will be a regular customer and this is now what I would call a safe place for Autistic people.

Busy Costa. Everything served in a timely manner.

I am updating my review. Sadly this coffee shop still cannot deliver the quality of the service you would expect from Costa. Staff is very loud and unprofessional. They act like they own the coffee shop and seems to forget the customer service etiquette. This place is always cold and noisy. Even in the winter time the air condition is on full blast.There is no need for that. The coffee shop is always packed, you can't get a seat and half off the staff doesn't know how to make customers happy or make coffee. I am now going to a different much nicer Costa.

What you'd expect from a chain. Satisfactory if you don't mind queuing...

Ordered my usual tea in this branch just to use the toilet but there was a queue of 4 (!!!) people in a tiny corridor, staff was very apologetic and said they've been waiting for disabled toilet to get fixed for a couple of months and they are struggling with this queue themselves cause this is the ONLY toilet in this shop... My barista was steaming hot water in a jug which made ridiculously loud sounds and said their boiler was also broken for months, I can't believe Costa AND Coca-Cola are not prioritising these jobs especially when their prices just gone up again...

Staff never open the shop on time.

You pay x amount of money as Costa isn’t cheap and they can’t even be bothered to open the toilets. I’m pregnant and needed to go. Very disappointed

Sadly no Banana bread cake for my son and no replacement so he as nothing. We will share what we have normal they give something else. Great Costa this one though.

Ok as far as costa's go, only had coffee

It's not the quietest place in all of Birmingham, but it's very central and you can sit there and drink your coffee.

Lovely coffee efficient service

Coffee over everything told will replace nothing and left on my drive to throw away. Had to clean down food and drinks. Best to go into shop your self if possible !

It is my first time ordering from Costa Coffee Kings Heath. The Hot chocolate was really nice and the mini muffins were nice aswell. Thanks. I will order from here again soon .

It's a Costa. Staff efficient, tables kept clear and cleaned. Does what it says on the tin well.

Again sandwiches sent in ridiculously large unsuitable containers so they were loose in bag. Cold hard sandwiches. Wrong drink sent. Ordered iced drink got hot drink. Used to be amazing from here

the server who took the order was pleasant and offered service with a smile - however, the girl with a scarf on who made the drinks was the rudest, most obnoxious person I have ever come across who made the relaxing hot chocolate and slice of cake experience costing £8.00 an experience I do not want to repeat. I think Costa management need to give customer service training to all the staff they hire - am reluctant to go to costa in kings heath again - so coffee no 1 round the corner will be one that I will frequent in future! it has a more ambient atmosphere and a lovely serving staff who are always happy to help.

We asked for more sauce & bubbles and it’s come with no sauce whatsoever. It’s not a frappe - it’s just milk and a couple of bubbles.

I ordered a croissant and got a chocolate twist , when I rang the shop it was a number that doesn’t even work . It’s appalling customer service for such a franchise

Delivery driver turns up on a push bike!! This should be allowed. My hot drinks turned into cold drinks & they were half full because of it all leaking!! So had two quarter cups of hot chocolate, a stone cold toastie. Broken gingerbread men! And I spent over £20 absolutely disgusting

Visited twice today as I was in the area delivering photos to someone first time I had a cappuccino and a all day breakfast when I arrived first time and 2nd time was just a cap before I headed home. They’re fantastic in there always cleaning and doing something and really pleasant

Had diarrhoea after getting my regular latte from here. Cleanliness not up to scratch for sure.

The man who served me was and is always really polite, however the old blonde lady who made my drink is always rude for no reason, there always seems to be a problem with her attitude whenever i speak to her and its uncomfortable to be around, it doesnt hurt to be kind to people :)

I recently started working in the area and have been here every shift I've had - the team are lovely and so much care is given in their work, I've worked in hospitality for 10 years and love to see a team that work as efficiently and well as they do here! The blonde lady who works there is very rude and protective over the toilets which by the way smell really bad I had a drink in this costa a few days ago and when I asked about the toilet the older blonde woman got attitude n asked did you buy anything even though I had got a drink 5 mins earlier n was sitting in with it I didn’t know that the toilet code was on the bottom of the receipt She could have just told me instead of having attitude

Great friendly crew works there. I have been to this Costa multiple times. Many regulars and very nice atmosphere. I haven't tried food, only drinks which are always good.

Ordered a large mocha upon arrival come to find over a quarter of the cup is empty was exact same amount as the regular I ordered

Discovering costa delivery is dangerous. I cant get enough! I love ordering from here as it is absolutely hassle free and always correct. The drivers are polite with no fuss and the whole experience is enjoyable.

Fantastic service. Costa take care and have a well thought out method for delivering drinks with minimal spillage compared to other places. Would definately order again.

In Kings Heath very nice coffee shop

Great for a quick caffeine and sugar refuel. No drive thru or parking being a high street cafe.

Just a coffee and overpriced which I find all coffees to be if I ever drink one that gets bought for me, as coffee 8s something I can make myself

Food order was wrong (forgot egg on the sandwich). Delivery was prompt and polite.

Good coffee but a little on the expensive side £3 + 1 of the staff a little un friendly , but on another occasion different staff were very pleasant and full of smiles.

Had a mocha but tasted bitter not the best Costa we've had. Also got kids hot chocolate but they had no flakes

It needs upgrading as it looks tired now, the long term staff are still as amazing as ever the new staff leave a lot to be desired!

Both my husband and I love the coffee in Costas, it's always hot and very tasty, the cakes are nice too, and the put the calories on for your information.

A very busy place, comfortable seating , I sat on the comfy chairs by the windows.The drinking chocolate 🍫 with nicely tasting.

The coffee and grilled cheese sandwich were both exactly as expected. The seating was beginning to show signs of wear. This was my first visit to King's Heath Costa and I was disappointed by the dismissive response of staff when I asked for the toilet code. I'd previously said no to my reciept and, therefore, did not have it. As far as the serving staff were concerned, this was the end of the issue. Another customer took pity on me.

Gets overcrowded very easily. Too small for the area it serves. Staff overworked.

Costa is fine no option to have large coffee

The cappuccino was not frothy and doesn’t have caramel syrup in it as ordered. Both drinks looked the same, one was meant to be a latte and one a cappuccino.

Great manager he sorted my problem straight away. Hes a lovely person the lady who served me had gorgeous curly hair and a lovely smile.

I go regular in king heath branch to get my hot chocolate they every time rush and they take half order and start making order and after order they take payment and even they don’t wash jug or order order and mix all hot drinks and taste horrible I spoke to one person he don’t bother to speak to other person who made order very very bad experience and waste of money

Close seating area at 2:30 on a Sunday. I’ve noticed recently Costa’s customer service has gone down especially after Covid. Plus side the staff here are friendly.

A nice bonfire latte and gingerbread

Whenever i have a take away coffee from here and the older staff is on duty, i am always overcharged. The reason i know this is because all the other baristas are charging the right money. One time i asked for one cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso in the cappuccino, and i was looking at the guy making it, saw he didn't add the extra shot and blatantly lied to my face. I have been working in restaurants for more than 12 years and i know exactly how to make a coffee and how it should taste as i never have the syrups or the sprinkles. I didn't catch his name, but he is arrogant and he is probably a shift manager or something. Maybe the management should reconsider the position to someone with more abilities towards maths and customers.

Worst que I have seen!!!!! Was waiting 10 minutes to get served. Don't understand why they are short staff busy time between 4-5 KMT

Expensive and with plastic takeaway containers for a sit down meal. Ineffectual wooden cutlery.

It's dipped in service and flavour. I'm not sure what they changed but my soya cappuccino with ginger bread syrup tasted of phenylalanine and other fake sugars. Stuff I avoid. I've heard they changed the brand of soya milk, or it could be I was given a sugar free syrup (there's no way to see what they offer anyway). Either way I don't expect I'll be back.

First time in this Costa for a while and it has improved. Still, tis a Costa and we should try and support the independent venues where possible (which I normally do).

The staff was so friendly and polite, Their services was fast and quick. I really admire this place for a coffee and tea break. I would advise everyone to come and experience this place, since the food is tasty too.

My favourite place to be. Costa never fails to disappoint.. from the service to the quality of drinks and food - the staff here are so friendly and welcoming every time I go in (which is a lot 😂🤭) Also the costa app is great as gives loyal customers rewards every so often and you can collect Beans which translate to a free drink after collecting 8 at a time.

Ordered a salted caramel frostino, they didn't ask whether I wanted coffee and they made it without. They then remade it with coffee and without the salted caramel🤦‍♂️ I only realised this when I got to the car and I thought they are never going to get this right. Very disappointed.

Meeting with friend, busybut enjoyable. Tried the Xmas Quality Street Latte, very nice.😋
