Absolutely awful service not enough staff waited 20 minutes to be served another 10 minutes for my actual drink Costa is getting worse 🥺🥺

Shocking service. Not really busy no-one in front or behind us. There were 2 people working making frappes. One in uniform the other in his own clothes.We stood there for 8 minutes, neither of them acknowledged us or spoke to us. The male in plain clothes was making his own drink and one for his girlfriend who then just walked out with the drinks. The other staff member continued to make drinks for who knows who as no one else was waiting. I think we must have been invisible. We decided to leave without ordering and took our customer elsewhere. I use Costa several times a week and this is by far the worst service I have received. Not what I expect , come on costa you need to sort those staff members out, if the don't want to be there then they should work elsewhere.

Disgusting service. 3 people on the floor which two of them lady and another guy was chatting all the time. To make coffee took them 6min. For 3 customers. This is unacceptable. Coffee disgusting- to much milk and no coffee. Need more training how coffee need be made for £3.10. Cheap and not taste coffee at all. People before me was complaining and girl showed such an attitude - disgusting. She also used on the till not her name, but colleague name. Avoid this place.

Great shop in city centre. It has a great view.

Amazing atmosphere, great staff.

I use this Costa a lot during the weekdays, and everything is normally fine, with great coffee and service, however the past 3 Saturdays I have attempted to get a coffee before going to work, and although it states it is supposed to open at 8am, the past 3 weeks they have not actually opened until around 8.15 (or later), even though I have been able to see employees inside at 8am. It is frustrating that on Saturdays they can't seem to be bothered about adhering to opening times.

Staffs are friendly and service is good. Classic Costa café. One of the bathroom was broken. Wi-fi was fast enough. Tried the hot milkshake. I liked this concept tbh. Lifts up life on a chilly day 😂

2023 Nov Update : From mediocre to worse. The staff are friendly and package food (egg mushroom bap) was delicious but that's where it ends. Flies were hanging about and the tray I got was wet and the knife was hardly washed! ------------------------------------------- Granted 10 mins before closing time, but still, was turned away when I wanted two paninis cooked. That I feel is really poor. Cooking them would have only taken 5 minutes or so. It is just a quick cook, I am not staying to sign a 30 minute credit agreement!

I think every costa branch I have visited has the same issues with the toilets. This branch had no running water in the toilet 😳 it's absolutely disgusting. Water on the floor, hardly cleaned at all -Germ ridden toilets.

My item was damaged but I will order from them again.

Open til 7 but turned music off at 6 ish and also very wet (dangerous).floor to try to walk.across on the way out. I paid nearly £8 for two hot drinks but did not enjoy second one as they clearly wanted to get closed. They may be tired or fed up but should not serve drinks to people if that is what will happen. Prices have gone up again at Costa so we should have a nice environment to eat and drink in or its not worth it. I feel the prices are too high even if staff behave let alone if they dont. Manager with beard ( if he is the manager) has a bad attitude as does another male with dark curly hair big nose etc i find. He thinks he is irresistable which is ridiculous if you saw him and his obnoxious behaviour ie snidey comments, dirty looks, clattering chairs ie putting them away while customers sgill are meant to have another hour to drink and eat. Toilet full of poo and no loo roll often. Hot drink has gone up recently in price again to £3.95 for hot chocolate etc I will not visit again Dont waste your money. ( I did try there again same behaviour ie totally selfish staff just clearly wanting to leave asap and not caring that they make the restaurant horrible for the customers, I saw a few customers look in the door at least an hour before closing time but they did not dare come in because it looked closed ie no music, wet floors and grim looks on staff faces (guy with beard again plus his female side kick) Given the very high prices of Costa it is offensive to be treated as a huge nuisance by staff - hours before closing.

Had a lovely half a flat white in here earlier, had to leave quickly as my bus came quicker than I thought! The staff are lovely too.

Staff on a few visits very impolite & even making fun of customers. If you go in during last hour, the chairs are all on the tables ie ready to close even though an hour until closing and the very high prices etc. I have painful knee etc and had to lift a chair off the table onto the floor to sit down when I went in at 6pm recently ie an hour before closing. Some ok staff work there but the general ethos is not good ie staff needs before customer needs etc. I am very sympathetic to all staff who serve the public and always polite but this cafe is not a nice experience often. In general prices need to go down and customer service ratings go up. Plus the dreadful advert cartoon recently by Costa with a van covered in a picture of a topless young trans who has scars from breast removal but very happy with a cup of Costa!! Costa is owned by Coca Cola company.......

I love this branch in particular. It has a different atmosphere and delicious coffee with cinnamon, but it needs to clean the seats and the bathroom is dirty Likewise, forks and knives need to be washed more than once. I take a fork and a knife and scrub it

Good cafe, lovely atmosphere. I usually order coffee here to take away. For some reason, the cafe is closed sometimes, maybe because it's understaffed.

This costa has a nice seating area as you go past the counter towards the back. Staff were friendly and drinks were the usual standard. The only thing that let it down was the toilet. Everyone was able to use the toilet with the wheelchair and baby changing sign on the door which meant others had to wait longer. This isn't good if you have a disability which means you need to use the toilet urgently. The other toilet has a key pad on the door so of course people wouldn't bother to get the code if they can just walk into the accessible toilet. When I did eventually get in the toilet, both the paper receptacles were empty which meant my husband had to govand ask them to fill it up. The assistant did this straight away but only filled one receptacle half way. The floor was very wet around the basin and toilet area which could of caused someone to slip. I think I toilet check schedule would be good.

Great size mocca, really tasty too. Polite and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Only thing that let it down was the loo was a bit unclean, nothing awful but could of been better.

Normally like Costa but very disappointed with this one. Service was awful. Stood around to get served while the staff chatted to each other. Food and drinks all came out at different times. And watched as the staff put a order on a tray behind other trays and left the customer to really struggle to pick it up over other drinks. Rubbish service. Plus don't get me started on the state of the toilets and no toilet roll. Avoid and go to another Costa.

Awful. WiFi has broken which they don’t tell you before you buy your drink so then sat there and couldn’t do work with a large cappuccino. No chocolate to put on top. The froth was dead.

Had a lovely coffee from Beatrice and the rest of the friendly team here :-) service was great and coffee even better! Will be back!

no sauce for rolls, 2 lemon muffins instead of blueberry and lemon, ordinary filter coffee not cappachino...

Poor customer service. Toilet codes are not on the receipt.

The young lady who served us was really nice. It could have been a little bit warmer inside.

These guys in front of the till don't know what to do, so many people just turned around because 20 minutes in the queue is a way too long...

The two team members were doing an amazing job considering the queue. Very pleasant customer service. They just needed some help to clear the tables but understand that it's difficult in retail at the moment.

The interior is quite spacious and fairly clean. The only issue with it is the less-than-stellar coffee that Costa serves. But if you ever find you want a quick drink or have no other place to work, it's a good place to come to.

They've decided to not open on time for the second time this week. 9:15 on Sunday (says on door it opens at 9:00) door closed and lady on the till scrolling her phone.

The coffee and food was good but I would have liked to seen better covid messaures in place no one stopping people using tavles marked as not in use and also letting them sit on used tables before clearing and cleaning

The shop was nice, relaxed feel to the space only real area I felt it let itself down on was toilet situation. Needing to enter code to access disabled toilet when code entry was at height that would be difficult from wheelchair and fiddly for those with manual Dexter issues. No adult want to ask for help to access toilet that is designed to be accessable and would meet their needs if they could get in. Was impossible to tell if toilet was occupied waited for 5 mins then gave up. On positive began cookies and fast service time

Staff could smile but otherwise all ok.

After buying my tea I then have to faf around finding the unlock code for the toilet

You know what to expect, a very consistent chain. Just wish they offered different flat white sizes!

Quiet cosy. Not the cleanest. Toilets are a mess considering the difficulty of getting a code (not ideal for mothers and disabled customers) to get into them.

Always quite slow to get served and the staff are always just chatting about personal things. Which is great for me, who doesn't like a bit of gossip? But I tend to work fast whilst talking too...

Incredibly slow service despite queue of only one. My order? Black filter which took forever to pour. Tables uncleared. Floor strewn with food. Music blaring. All at 11 am.

Fantastic Costa one of the best ones in Bristol City centre, lovely staff who are always happy to help and great tasting drinks. I have a dairy allergy and I'm fussy ha so my orders can be faffy but it's never too much trouble. There's plenty of seating from tables to comfy areas and great facilities.

Nice little area away from the public eye.
