Costa Coffee in Birmingham

Rude rude rude customer service, male staff have an attitude and make sarcastic comments. If you want polite service go elsewhere. One member of staff waited for me to finish my drink so he could collect my glass… very weird service

Abiba needs to learn some manners. Who trains these ignorant people who can’t say please or thank you. At least Ruby was very pleasant and polite. Won’t be back. Ed.

Food is normal for costa but staff service is rude.

The cutlery was dirty and the coffee machine looked quite dirty. There was no latte art which I would expect from a Costa to be honest.

The Costa staff are very friendly abs helpful with your order . Service is great I could not fault it

This bullring Costa is always packed. I think it would be pretty difficult for anyone to access seating if in a wheelchair or a child in a pushchair. It's quite tight to move around the seating and it's always packed.

Typical Costa experience, no complaint.

I was scammed by this company. After accepting my order from Uber Eats, they called me and asked me to cancel from Uber because it was a busy day. They asked me to do it when they should have done it themselves and said it would be fine. But Uber charged me and they said I was responsible. If there is no refund, I will make a complaint

Good selection of produce and a variety of drinks, easy access for wheelchairs, suitable for small groups. Efficient service although 1/3 of my party's order was wrong.

Best customer service, Dewan was exceptionally helpful and polite - deserve a pay rise !

Outrageously rude staff! Unfortunately I didn't get of the staff member but she had such a bad attitude. She argued with my Mother in Law about a discount she had on her app, even after proving that my Mother in Law was correct, the staff member did not apologise and continued to be extremely rude. When I ordered my drink, I had my own discount code on my app. She didn't scan the QR correctly and I paid full price. When I looked at the receipt, I realised. Asked for her to correct but she said 'You have paid for it now'. I had to suggest her refunding it and recharging it. Awful customer service!

Not first time members of staff here are rude and disrespectful. They rush and roll their eyes at you. we also have noticed them giving dirty looks at customers… The one who was making the drinks made an espresso for a man who was last on the queue and skipped the rest of the line. When asked why she did that as I was waiting long and it was my turn to make the drinks. All three of them were rude to me and with poor customer service. When I complained the one at the till told the other lady not to make my drinks even though I paid for them as I don't deserve it. Its such a shame this is a lovely spot, Hope Costa customer service changes this situation and make a choice of lovely people to work here. Even one star was two much

Someone has to do a check with the staff. Cannot believe that staff using there phone and talking while there is a long queue regardless the dirty cups and sorcier used to serve customers.

I have been here many times over the years, and I always find the same two members of staff here are rude and disrespectful. They rush you through and roll their eyes at you. Today, I asked for extra milk because I had a tea and the coffee machine wasn’t working, so they had no coffee, and the lady sighed and placed the costa cup down with disregard and in a huff. Me and my friend have noticed them giving dirty looks to customers…

Appalling service. Had to wait ages and then my food hadn't even been put in the grill. The mac and cheese came out then we had to wait for the tuna melt. Costa, why don't you invest in more than one grill. Makes sense!

Everyone's favourite Costa Coffee found on the top floor within Next! Always a hustle and bustle vibe with fabulous views out over the Rotunda cross roads of the Bullring, Grand Central and down to the famous Rag market. Great for people watching! I've been a few times, service varies as they're usually run off the feet. You don't wait too long though and food quality is spot on. I had a Costa voucher to use which is always a bonus.

Great place to sit and people watch, whilst the ladies spend ‘a few minutes’ in Zara!

Really bad customer service they forgot to make my drink and after I asked them for it the barista was really rude!!

If I could give no stars I would. This is 2nd time I've been her both times disappointing. Drink cold. Also, order a strawberry lemonade. I watched her making it, and she filled the cup with tap water. If I wanted a glass of tap water with some strawberry syrup and a tiny amount of lemonade, I wouldn't have bothered paying. If the staff were approachable, then I would feel going up and speaking to them. But they are rude.

Lovely Costa coffee. One of my favourite. The staff is very nice and always delivers excellent service. It can get extremely busy sometimes but this is a city centre location after all.

Wouldn't go here again!! Arrived at 6pm and was greeted by barrister Jacob saying very abruptly " do you know we close in half an hour? " i said ' thats ok " and he continued by muttering under his breath about not eating as he been on all day !!! The hot chocolate was ok though....

Bad customer service. I said "Could I have a receipt" A staff looked at me but ignored me and called next customer.

The lady was very rude who served me and my friend in the wheel chair was helping him out and she rudly said He can do it leave him will not go their again staff have terrible manners

I’m a barista my self and I was not impressed by the latte I received. The lady placed the jug under the wand and walked away from it while it heated. A latte milk should be silky and smooth, and to achieve this you don’t put the wand straight in and walk off it’s done at a certain angle untill the temp hits 45 then you drop the wand untill temp hits 55-65! More training should be given to theses staff, I don’t expect a coffee I can make at home in the microwave with hot milk. Won’t be returning

First visit here & never again , lunchtime no bread left , hardly any cakes , boxs piled over counter nowhere to put tray , tables still had other peoples un -finished foods on them & drinks , used items piled where sugars etc were, so balanced cup on side , the only good point was coffee as good as always ☹️

Big Costa Fan. Everyone knows I love my Chai Latte and Costa provides a consistent experience and taste.

Met a friend to discuss some accounts info. Had coffees and small lunch which we found acceptable for our needs.

Went for coffee and cake one morning during the Commonwealth Games. When you tell the staff that flies are enjoying themselves taking strolls on the sweet treats you would expect them to do something about it, no? NO! Just looked at us like as if we were from another planet and didnt remove the contaminated items. Tres tres mal!!!

I do not recommend visiting it at all. I am a fan of Costa, but I hate going to this branch of Costa. There is always one worker working in the front, so you find him annoyed with the crowds of work. Today I visited the branch and stood for twenty minutes until my turn. The bathroom is also always closed and all the tables are dirty. Birmingham Next Bullring upstairs.

Usually quite busy every time I go but due to the perfect location, it makes sense. Having said so, It’s a pleasant environment to have a cup of coffee or just a sandwich after having shopped for a long time 😁

Customer service was atrocious from Kirsty!! I work in the bullring and as a treat we get drinks for the whole team once week but we wont be going back. The fact that she laughed when I mentioned about how poor her customer service was says a lot about the type of employee she is.

Went in to order and the chip and pin card Machine was not working they lied saying something wasn’t snapped up inside it when they was and refused to help me I don’t recommend this Costa coffee they was useless unprofessional and I be sending my complaint higher to area manager and hopefully all be sacked

By locating Costa Coffee within Next, Costa is injected with a vibrancy that you won’t find in your standard store. It’s busy to boot. I wasn’t sure if this was because the staff were new, or just because they were laid back. Nothing wrong with the latter. Given my temperament I went elsewhere for a cup of Costa Coffee. Why did I choose Costa. Convenience. My usuals were closed and I had a free coffee coupon to use. Anyway, because of the queue size I foxtrot-ed Oscar to another Costa venue.

Nice open Costa on the ground floor of The Bull Ring. Excellent staff in a very busy environment on this visit.

I was here today and met 2 very nice guys, Francesco and Rabbah, they were very polite and very clean in serving my drink. Congratulations

Absolutely appalling how they work here, I work for a costa and we’re very busy and we don’t have people waiting like I have today, I waited 10mins for a chai latte and people with a bogger order than me and another lady just waiting for a drink who was served before me didn’t have her drink but this family of 4 who ordered 3 people behind me had there order before us and we got nothing other than sorry it’s how I’m getting receipts, well I suggest you have better communication between your staff

Rude staff,Blonde lady. While she was taking the order i asked for Americano not too hot,and very rude way she told me to tell to the baristas. poor staff comunication,never been there anymore

Bunch of idiots customer services and ill-mannered ladies. Website says closes 7pm and they close 5pm. The ladies dont even know this...ill mannered dont think Costa gave them any customer service

Nice cafe, good service, sometimes you can't find a space to sit.

Not very private at all had people using it as a short cut...coffee and other drinks were fine.

This has become my go-to every morning since I'm staying nearby. The staff us always nice and helpful. The coffee is tasty too. I suggest a decaf caramel mocha with oat milk. Not bitter and not too sweet. Perfect every time.

Great staff but you pay a lot more for an average coffee because it's Costa

Horrible stuff especially one not knowing what she is doing constantly trying to move people around, some customers were not allowed to sit in the sitting area even if there was empty tables i dont know why !

Me and my friend went there this afternoon to have a coffee and chat. We were at the till ordering, the girl, witch name is Afsar asked if we were taking away or sitting in, we wanted to sit in, but as soon as she heard she told us she had no tables. We had a look over and there was a table that ended to be cleaned but was actually available, we asked for it and we got it eventually. But that's not all. She was rude, no costumer service at all. It's hard to hear with the glass screen and all the noises and she was getting mad I could not understand her and started responding rude and with higher angry voice. The shop closes at 19, at 18 30 the same girl shouts at us saying they are all ready closed and they need to clean. I work in a costumer service environment and I would never be so ride with costumers even with bad once. I don't think I will ever go back to that Costa again.

F1 service is great. I love Costa cappuccino

Coffee was surprisingly good - and the lemon cake too! Distancing measures were strictly respected and tables were rigorously cleaned as soon as a client left. Only downside, it's quite loud but that's unavoidable being right in the middle of the Bullring.

The worst service and staff that I ever seen in Birmingham.

Not as good as other local Costa. Understandably loud in the bullring but staff made mistakes on a few orders and were not hearing customers properly. In fairness they were busy and tables were cleared quickly.

Lovely spot but the customer service is terrible. Staff were really rude, they nearly shouted at me and couldn't make us a simple cup of tea. Don't think I'll be back here again.

It's a great location in the centre of The Bullring shopping centre but it is always busy so prepare for a que.

This is an airtight spot to relax in the busy bullring mall. The only issue I had was people kept forcing pay me at the table by the Costa C because they were too lazy to walk around it would be worthwhile for Costa to add a barrier of some sort so customers aren't interrupted by rude guests

Reasonable coffee but outlet needs revamp.

You just cannot beat a Costa flat white and s round of toast for breakfast.

Worst Costa I have ever visited. Staff were very rude and didn't even let my partner know when our order was ready to collect. Starbucks from now on...

We were served tea in a pot for which a normal lid couldn't be found. How is this possible in a so-called cafe? The milk jug was chipped. This looks so unprofessional and may also decrease hygiene of the jug. I conplained online and asked for a reply. I didn't get one. I can't believe that so many people put up with pretty average things heated up and retailed at prices with high profit margins and shoddy quality tea.

Poor service. Didn't except a voucher code even though it was valid. Nor did they try to investigate why the it system wasn't picking it correctly.

It does what it says on the tin, It's Costa Coffee and they are all pretty much the same. Had a great Hot Chocolate but I still think they're a bit expensive.

A pleasant place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in a busy shopping centre. As it was near closing time, I had to get coffee in a takeaway cup, but this didn't retract from the enjoyment of my drink.

Worst coffee I ever had, I just left it on the table after one sip as I was really angry and couldn’t bother to have a fight for £5. I have ordered 2 lattes and they were everything else, but not latte. The way the bored “barista” made it is something I have never seen and as a result it tasted awful. Will never go again and would not recommend.

Rather have the ones in Wolverhampton
