This is a drugs den. Open dealing filled with teenagers and no door staff in sight. Left as felt really uncomfortable and dingy interior.

Good atmosphere to watch the rugby, decent drinks and friendly staff. Huge positive that the pub favours rugby over football during the six nations and there's no music playing over the match which sadly often happens.

Well, I thought the bar service was atrocious, also why are they being allowed to vape, while serving behind the bar ?, really put me off my drink be honest.

Kids in after 21:13 is terrible. Not safe or fair on the punters. Place was absolutely packed. As for the toilet.

Good people , good atmosphere on the weekend

Gate was excellent, popped in Monday night for one, on our way somewhere else, but ended up staying for the evening. Barman was excellent, and beer was very reasonably priced, especially for the centre of Sutton. Plus they have all the big sporting events on Sky.

Fab place good atmosphere,saw brilliant band The Jagged rocks,was full but nice to see a place thriving,lovely helpful staff.

Typical English pub with friendly staff and music at night. Busy but a good place for a lads night out. Drinks are well priced

Good priced decent beer but was continually distracted by the amount of tv screens and dazzling brightness of all the lights

Friendly enough, beer ok, nice big screens for sport (baseball on the day we were there??) But needs a bit of a clean up on the floor, tables jaded. Alright for a quick pint.

Great little pub in Sutton, very friendly service and staff and very reasonable prices too! Love their hanging baskets and the building still has its history and hasn't gone all modern, which i love! Went to our friends 50th party and looking forward to returning again very soon! 😊

Omg, staff lovely, but all I could smell was BO. Bloody awful. It was ok. Cheap booze. No windows open. Not very covid friendly, and would have heloed with BO. What a stink. Nice pub apart from that.

This pub is close to the train station and centre of sutton. It has a nice victorian feel but it also has some of the best looking barmaids i have seen. Well worth a visit.

Very Small pub but great for a few very well priced beers (very inexpensive) best priced pub in Sutton for me. Always sports on loads of screens all around the pub football rugby snooker ECT.. Only down side is the size of the guys toilets so just hold it

I visited this pub with my friend as it advertised on Facebook live music football all welcome for great entertainment and due to my friends ex being in there, now baring in mind they broke up about 8 months ago the lady the barmaid came over to us and told us it was a private party and escorted us both out of the pub and humiliated us both absolutely disgusting all because her ex told the barmaid he didn't want us in there!!! My friend would never hurt a fly!! Just a casual drink didn't even know he would even b in there it's been so long they havnt seen or spoke to each other!!! The barmaid refused blank that she had never seen her ex fella before when she was point blank sittin with him at the table!! So humiliated as it wasn't a private party it was rammed with people!!!!

Great night amazing band the mighty boing fabulous as always. It was like a party such a great night.

Went to Sutton Coldfield for a day this pub was ok inside but it was probably the cheapest round we have had for 10 years definately going back, also nice dog

The drinks are plenty to choose from but the clientele leaves you wondering where all the village idiots have come from.

Been going there since the new owners took over! Always friendly atmosphere inside & out. Mark his 110% THE REAL deal friendly & so is his daughter Loren 😀👍 Mark and the staff have REALLY turned this pub around. If you want a great night out in Sutton with live music 🎶 cheaper beer than anywhere else...then this his the place too come too 100% £2.50 for a carling can't be bad can it hey ladies & gentlemen. Spirits are a great deal too but hey don't just take my word for it get down there & see for yourselves. I'm off up there tonight too.

Much improved since female landlady left recently. Nice new male landlord who is genuinely friendly and welcoming to customers. Nice live band vibe. Lager is inexpensive.

Under new owners been renovated but too much imo lost some of its olde worlde charm & only 1 cask ale for sale whereas before you had more choice

Nice new refurbished pub.but for people with wheelchairs it's a no.also silly parking in tiny front.BMWS as always got a rule of the road of their own.

Should be a good little pub, but when I visited there was a group of blokes being loudly racist. Barman didn't seem bothered, so I'll not bother going back.

Live music and all the football on TV, if like me music and football are your passions this is the perfect pub in Sutton Coldfield, oh and Grolsch is only £3 a pint
