Although there’s been a recent refurbishment, it is of poor standard. Did no-one check it before sign off? It also has done little apart from brighten the place up, it was rather dark and dingy beforehand. But now it’s bright and featureless, like a new build… The place is still dirty. The new tables are dirty, particularly on their feet - not new spills considering my visit was early morning. The floors are dirty with food debris along the edges. And why is there still only one person serving on a morning? It’s no wonder less people attend for their pre-work or school coffee now because the service is so slow. Such a shame that there has been no improvement.

Oh dear ! Don’t think head office would be impressed. Filthy table, rubbish on the floor under the table. As for the toilets- yuk. Full waste bags on floor for all to see. And….the service was slow and definitely not cheerful. Coffee and croissants were satisfactory!

Visited whilst on holiday in Weymouth whilst we drove out to the local towns. We saw the Costa in Blandford Forum but sadly this branch wasn’t up to the costa standards. We went in at 9.30am and tables not cleared, my wifes coffee cup was dirty and we asked for a clean cup to which the lady member of staff tuttered, then the toilet was filthy. I did let the member of staff know but she looked uninterested.

Very disappointing visit. Firstly staff came across as vague and uninterested. I was given a dirty fork and when I went back to change it I was handed the fork with the staff holding the eating end with no gloves on YUK no thank you. The marshmallows were literally old and sticky. My toastie was very soggy when I received it as it had beef left to sweat on a cold plate. Lastly the floor was absolutely disgusting, bits of food everywhere. I will not be back unfortunately.

Blandford Costa is very spacious & yet it is still possible to find a corner to hide in! I mostly visit solo to write. I'm always greeted with smiles, laughter & positive energy from every member of staff. They work exceptionally well as a team. If there is ever a queue, the staff always get through it quickly. The team work incredibly hard. They get me ready for the day, coffee is just a bonus! Blandford Costa is definitely the cleanest Costa I have visited. If there is a Costa Award, the Blandford team deserve it.

Went with 11 year old son, partner and 15 year old step-daughter. The berry hot chocolate was surprisingly nice and both me and my son enjoyed. Service was great! The lovely lady said if I didn’t like the berry hot chocolate i could have something else. It’s not just hot chocolate either, we also had some Tiffin, chocolate shortbread and brownie, of which all were absolutely delicious, Don’t forget the sugar free cola bottles. An amazing coffee shop, best in town!

A small store, but good views from the windows across to the old houses and passing traffic. Good lattes and clean sore, kept busy

Centrally located, this great Costa coffee provides all the usual products and with plenty of seating in a very comfortable environment. We had a cappuccino and one shot latte which were both excellent and much needed.

This Costa has the most helpful staff who never let you feel as though they’re tired of smiling and making scrumptious drinks - especially the Strawberry and Cream Frostinis, despite dealing with a rarely ending queue. Thanks to them all for making me feel so welcome every time.

I still can’t get over the size of the small coffees in the UK. It is a serving that we often share as it is very large. This is one of the better Costa coffees I have had. I find Costa to to be one of the better franchise coffee around and its always worth grabbing a bucket of coffee from costa as a pick me up.

Good coffee as you would expect, however zero character and very very noisy especially when filled with kids in pushchairs. There are better cafes in town.

The coffee shop itself is large, inviting and with plenty of seating. I take clients there to chat regularly but what let’s it down is the extremely slow service. Waiting for drinks is painful and the Baristas don’t seem to put themselves out to hurry the process along. Very disappointing!

This Costa has the most friendly but non-intrusive staff and always have a smile ready. I’m disabled and the staff here help me without me having to ask and with a really friendly, quiet approach. The coffee is great and the food is good but it’s the staff that make me want to go back. Thank you!

I went here last month with 2 girlfriends as an unplanned last minute trip to grab a cold drink after a long walk. The two ladies behind the counter could not have been ruder. We were greeted with a grunt and when I ordered, the wrong drink came to me. I explained to the woman and she was so rude saying it was not wrong. Even if she truly believed the mistake was mine there was no need for her attitude. The two women went about correcting my order and were discussing me the entire time right in front of me! The drink was then slammed on the table. Completely unacceptable. My friend commented she couldn't believe I kept my cool and that she herself never orders from there because of their attitude. I usually love a trip to other costa chains but this has really put me off. These women should leave as they are clearly miserable working there and take it out on the customers. Such a shame.

I bought a chicken sandwich from Costa in Blandford. Half way through eating it I discovered it was covered in mould.. I still feel sick now! Customer care was completely lacking, begrudgingly gave me my money back and said take it up with head office. Disgusting!

Only been here twice after Parkrun but both times the staff have been friendly and helpful. Quality of food & drink is good and there has always been somewhere to sit. If you're in Blandford and fancy a coffee then this is the perfect place to go :-)

Unplanned visit to Blandford. Whilst the half was shopping I decided on a Costa Coffee. Unfortunately a mixed experience. It was bright and airy and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. However, the air conditioning was on and it was very chilly. I ordered a Latte and a toasted sandwich. Latte was fine the toasted sandwich was not. It was luke warm and the base was cold and soggy.

I've been to many costa in my time, and this one is by far the best, the atmosphere in this site is amazing, I come every Thursday and whenever I get a chance! The girls here are amazing, two of which I believe are called Ashlyn and Alice who have the best service and the biggest smiles, plus Nicole and Fynn whom are also amazing! love this place, and the staff!

Costas in Blandford is a nice place to relax and have a cup of coffee. They have a great selection of drinks, foods, and desserts. The store has many comfy couches, and chairs to kick back, relax, chat, or read a book.

On our journey home from an overnight-stay in Bournemouth we decided to take a minor roads route back home rather than the direct main road route. This took us through quite a few small towns and villages. Our plan was to find a Farm Shop Café or a village / small town-centre café where we could get lunch: ideally a snack and a hot drink. We were over an hour into our journey when we saw the signs for Marcia’s Farm Shop and turned into what was a heavily pot-holed carpark. We then walked into the signposted barn noting that there was plenty of tables and chairs arranged in neat rows but no-one was sat there. There was another door into ‘The Shack’; inside was actually a full bar; like you would find in a pub. There were a few locals propping-up the bar, chatting and drinking draught beer. This is not what we had expected and we assumed that the ‘Marcia’s Farm Shop’ and ‘The Shack’ were one in the same business. There didn’t appear to be any farm produce on sale: other than, we assumed, the food offered in the menu. It was almost exactly 1pm when we were approached and welcomed by a pleasant lady. We asked about food, and she advised us to select a table and choose from the menu of snacks that were available, and that she would return to take our order. We studied the menu having ordered some tea and my Partner chose a fishfinger baguette, whereas I chose a toasted ham and cheese sourdough sandwich. The plates took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive from ordering, but freshly prepared food does take time. So, we sipped tea and amused ourselves with the help of a large (probably over-fed and under-exercised) old Labrador who constantly wandered and sniffed around the bar and seated areas. The dog then settled at our table once our food order arrived. This was not a serious issue for us (others however may dislike being ‘hounded’ by slobbering dogs while they eat their food). Both plates featured a colourful and tasty fresh dressed salad which was really good. My sandwich was really firm and crunchy with a generous helping of thick-cut ham and plenty of well-melted cheese, and a small portion of red cabbage coleslaw to go with the salad. It was really good and enjoyed. My Partner’s baguette featured homemade cod loin fishfingers and tartare sauce (both inside the baguette). The fish was a bit moist and insubstantial; despite being made from the loin. Cod can be like this and it is why we prefer the meatier haddock. The baguette also accompanied by a few crisps, but they were a really strange flavour for accompanying fish (reminded us of Oxo beef - but very artificial). Our food was on the whole good, generously portioned and very much welcomed, and it was good value.
