GRIM Guy who served me was very pleasant, drink was good. However. . The ambiance was dreadful. One small female member of staff was harassing people sitting outside at tables to check if they had purchased drinks. When we finished I went inside to ask where the toilet was, she rudely asserted it was 'FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY' then proceeded to grudgingly hand out a code on a scrap of paper. I can honestly say this is one of the worst toilets I've ever had the misfortune to visit. Think biohazard levels of disgusting. And some electrical appliance dangling dangerously from the ceiling. If this is what is reserved for "customers only", it says a lot about the value they place on their customers. You've definitely lost one here Costa!

Worst staff, extremely rude with no manners/professionalism..manager should ensure they’re hiring staff according to costa standards and give them proper training…please stop hiring people who don’t know how to handle or talk to customers properly!

The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful, lacking even basic manners. The ambience was unpleasant and unwelcoming. The tables were dirty, and we had to request multiple times for them to be cleaned. Costa should seriously consider training their staff in basic etiquette before hiring.

For sure they dont know what means hospitality. Yesterday I was sitting waiting a friend of break time and one guy told me only customers for sitting down . Also its cold outside but they have the air conditioner cold ON , When outside its Rain and Windy cold . The manager should supervise better these things . Also password on toilets .....

Very close to Camden Market, we had a coffee with a slice of fruit cake that was incredible in flavor, juiciness, appearance...I'm sorry I can't post a photo, it didn't last long!!

Got a cappuccino the lid was not on properly spilled the cappuccino all over my self. Went to the till explained what just happened and she completely ignored it!

Terrible Costa with an extremely rude Manager who, we were told, was new. The member of staff who served us was very pleasant but the Manager who was at the till was not; not an ounce of customer service in her and looked like smiling might actually kill her. And no toilets which is illegal. Pretty sure both doors marked private were toilets but clearly this Costa cannot be bothered with the cleaning rota and so decided to break the rules.

El café sabe más a chocolate que a café. Se puede tomar un café mucho mejor y por menos precio en otros sitios. Incluso el café de Greggs es mejor que este. Y encima los baños clausurados. Te gastas un dinero y no puedes ir ni al servicio, mal sobretodo si vas con niños.

Sorry to say, this is the worst experience I ever faced in Costa. Place was extremely messy One of the toilet was out of order and other one they said just for Staff. staff was extremely rude. I order a tea with extra teabag and they charge me £5.40 for one cup of tea.

The best chicken kebab I ever had, super tender and homemade cabbage

Went here on August 20th 2023 to meet up with gaming group before we went to Bandai Namco store. Sadly was greeted by an over assertive barista who had short hair and beard. Couldn’t go downstairs even to meet others and put my bag down first before I buy and insisted I buy something before meeting them downstairs. In the end somebody vouched for me, but shouldn’t have come to that. Suffice to say I didn’t buy anything in disgust during meeting and won’t be coming back (I fairly often revisit coffee chains in various locations) . Ironically, I had wanted to settle and drink first before heading off, but his attitude spoiled the mood and in fact also cost the store profit as an result. Been to loads of coffee shops esp Costa and this one was the first awful experience. Avoid.

On the morning of October 12th 2022 I was warmly greeted and welcomed by two female staff members at this location. One of them kindly prepared a delicious Cortado for me during my visit.

The Costa is in a prime location. They had very limited option of drinks. Which might be expected due to the location and the amount of people that enter the Costa.

On 17th went to costa , used the toilets downstairs and they were dreadful, wee on toilet seat, so not been checked and cleaned recently. Also needs repair as box at back is broken . Generally grubby place no care. Flat white was also a latte!

Overall experience bad. I came to enjoy my morning but got messed up cause of the service. When I ordered the food then they didn’t even ask for eat in or takeway so I need to tell them after they serve. No greeting nothing rude to customer. And on plus point my food was overcooked and was too crunchy to chew. Service is very bad. I don’t recommend coming to this costa.

Worst Costa I have ever been to. Rude staff who refused to use mugs which were available for people drinking in. Two coffee machines available, one is used as a shelf. Poor selection of snacks available. Incredibly rude staff. Disgusting toilets and tables are not cleaned between customers. Half the menu on the wall isn't actually available (or the staff couldn't be bothered to make them, not sure which)

2 stars for trying but failing. The barista's forgetting orders, not doing them correctly, slowing things down and having to ask you what your order is after waiting 5 minutes. Looking at you with a blank and confused expression. I don't mind waiting but the attitude of the barista was so unprofessional. Yes there only serving beverages but a smile won't go a miss.

Once again very bad experience with the staff of this costa coffee. I could see that they were lying about me getting a free coffee. If I spent money and got this free reward coffee why they were telling me that on their screen was saying error and I needed to update my phone. You should be ashamed of being liars because a lie its very easy to caught. As soon I paid a 25% off on breakfast I can use. Can you tell me bunch of liars, if my phone needed updating why did I get one more free reward? Which I won't be using in this coffee shop. I don't feel seeing two ladies that lie just to get some cash. No way I'm going there. And I advice anyone that has a free reward don't go there because they will say that there system says Error! Big mistake going there!

Le café était bon. Le service est plus que mauvais. Franchise à la dérive.. Fermer les toilettes pour que touristes, enfants et leur parent ne s’y rendent pas. En plus d’être désagréables et pas propre, c’est honteux!

One unisex toilet and no toilet paper for a busy coffee shop isn't good enough. My latte was enjoyable and I sat outside because it was quite crowded inside.

Blonde short woman with accent so disrespectful and rude. Shouting to the top of her voice with no customer service skills acting like her parents manage costa. Sort it out immediately. How can she say we are not customer service

one the large size for the same price as the slightly smaller size. I'm not a regular Costa customer, but I was a little embarrassed by Marie do Costa's reaction. I think that when we work with customer service we must have the sensitivity and filling to know how to inform, to communicate with the customer without embarrassment with our sense of justice or judgment. Every customer is important. Today I spent about 20 pounds on the coast, but due to that experience I don't feel encouraged to come back here.

Most of the team are nice but there is a young, caucasian girl who is so rude and acts like she's doing me a favour being there. Hate that she represents your company.

I absolutely love Costa, love the coffe, love the food, the one star is because my blind wife and i had To argue with one of your employee To have the right To let our guide dog in. This man may not care about humiliating my wife by asking her to prove that our guide dog is the real deal. I care, this dog has done so much for her, it allows her to be independant and confident about moving on her own. In the end i don't thank you for reminding my wife of her handicap in front of every other customer you had at the time also check on your bloddy door you'll find the sign that will tell you all about how Costa allows guide dogs in their places...

We stopped in for a sit down to break up our afternoon, friendly staff and plenty of seats downstairs but only one toilet with a queue right by the tables. Food and drinks were fine.

They don't allow paying customers to use the toilet from 6PM even though they close at 9PM, absolutely disgraceful. Do better

Loads of things were out of stock but not crossed off the menu, my friend asked for a breakfast wrap and they gave him a bacon roll, staff very difficult to communicate with, it took a whole minute for the cashier to understand what my friend meant when he asked for an extra shot, even though that's a very standard thing to ask for. Saw another customer ask for a drink and the cashier put in two, another worker had to help her understand that he only wanted one, and she was still asking him if he wanted two!

He is the worst coffee host I have ever seen in my life. He was rude, unfriendly and mean. When I asked for the toilet, he rudely said downstairs is closed and washroom there is Closed, when I normally asked why it is closed when cafe is still opened. He started shouting and creating a scene where everyone was looking and it was so embarrassing. When I asked him to be polite and not shout he was very mean. He did the same thing with a women with kids that were sitting. He was the worst.

I generally visit Costa and like their products, this review for this branch as I wasn't impressed with the service. Also, the cleanliness of the facilities was poor, with and items running out. Won't be visiting this branch again.

I had my usual Red Berries summer cooler and a piece of blueberry cake very delish as usual and mind you I haven't in this branch for years and it the service in this branch as usual absolutely exceptional.

Poor service and unhygienic bathroom

I visited with a friend and while sitting there I watched as one of the staff (my friend caught his name as "Clay") was rude to any customers who wasn't from his own cultural background and poured hot coffee over his colleagues hand and then laughed about it. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Great coffee, good choices for people who don't consume dairy

I'm not sure where all the bad reviews for this place are coming from to be honest. The food and drink offered is your standard Costa. The prices are in line with other establishments and the selection I found to be quite good. The service was quick and efficient if I remember correctly, as I don't recall waiting an unreasonable length of time in line. Only disadvantages are that you have to sit downstairs in the basement, which can look a bit gloomy, and the toilet was a bit drab (although clean). Having said that, the basement seating area was well kept and clean enough. To be honest, this place was a massive relief as we'd had a rubbish time at Camden Market and we just wanted to find somewhere simple for a coffee and a cake. This place happened to be the perfect fix. Would recommend!

Slow service, rude staff, coffee tasted horrible.

£5 for a stale croissant and a coffee that smelt like feet

Staff were pretty rude, got the order wrong, and the one toilet in the building there was a huge queue, better going to the market place

Iced coffee tastes like water that has been sitting in a sink with a couple coffee beans sprinkled in for a few months maximum. Pretty much poorly marinated water. Will never come back here, customer service was awful and their excuse was it’s always like that. £7 for two iced coffees that tasted watered down and plain, appalling.

DISAPPOINTED You can find Costa almost everywhere these days so I wasn’t surprised to see one in Camden. As it is one of my favourite coffee chains I decided to stick to what I know and grab a bit of brekkie here before the markets. It was absolutely tiny inside which meant the wiring system was shambles. After about 10 mins, being almost the only customer, I was served. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie and 3 cappuccinos with syrup. And I used a reusable cup but no discount was applied so my total was £15 which seems a bit steep. Toilets were filthy too.Service was slow and when my toastie arrived it was cold. I had already left by this point so had to eat it as I was hungry but I didn’t enjoy it. I am now reluctant to return but only to this Costa but the chain as a whole.

Stale croissant and tasteless coffee

Nasty drinks should consider closing not a good experience I've gone back a few times n always disappointed 😕

When we came in we noticed a couple of flies dotted around which is nothing to shout about, but when looking at the cakes I noticed the caramel brownies especially were literally crawling with them. Upon notifying a member of staff they just gave me a thumbs up and carried on serving other customers rather than throwing them away. They were still there at the end of our visit. We decided to pass on food because of this and I felt instantly put off the coffee I’d just bought, so I left my full drink on the table and left once my partner was ready.

I had a Cappuccino yesterday, with Soya and I completely enjoyed it ! !

Busy Costa Coffee directly across from Camden Market. Staff are super friendly, the shop could use a slap of paint.

I purchase coffees from here weekly and I get excellent service by professional and friendly staff.

The staff were really friendly and provided a great service. Good amount of seating inside and out and the facilities were kept clean which was great.

A standard Costa, usually suspects available to order. Good points store was clean, covid aware, staff were friendly. Downside there is hardly any outside seating and people using the seats don't seem to have anything from the shop.

We were served by a boy from Afghanistan and a girl from Italy and they were brilliant, the barista made our coffee exactly as we asked for it (we are kinda picky tbh) they were really nice while we were waiting for our drinks and really made it a great experience, I don't normally buy coffee from Costa but next time I go down to candem I will pass by and try to get a cuppa tea or coffee with them. Honestly these guys were great. I wish that all Costa staff would be like them! Keep it up!

Costa is one my favourite places and don’t get me wrong im never normally a person to moan about anything, I also work in hospitality so I know I can be hard sometimes ect. I ask for a honeycomb latte and it wasn’t honeycomb latte and it wasn’t which was fine I just asked politely if they could change, it and the staff that was working there a young women in training i believe...rolled her eyes at me and sighed right in front of me. I just personally don’t think that’s professional at all
