Costa in Suffolk Coastal

I visited yesterday 16th December and was very impressed by Megan she couldn't of been more helpful it was very very busy but she was still polite and helpful shining star she will go a long way well done Megan

I visited your coffee shop today to meet a friend, which I do quite regularly. Today I was very disappointed as I was served by a young girl wearing a nose piecing from both nostrils. I was most surprised that she was allowed to serve the public as when I was in catering for many years we were not allowed to wear anything like that. I also find it quite repulsive and could not look at her. I understand the fashion but when it makes me feel sick I'm not sure I want to return to your shop

Very slow service. Focused on Drive thru. Lots of tables not cleared so lack of availability No machine to enter registration soo limited to 2 hours to meet and chat with friends. Incurred fine, no mention of the time limit inside Costa.

I am diagusted that my 13 year old son and 14 year old friemd were today refused a latte by the assistant manager because it contains a small amount of caffeine. She forced them to purchase a decaf instead. If they were comimg in ordering ten coffees I could understand but to interfere and spoil this one chamce of a single treat each and some independance for them in their school holiday was unwelcomed, unnevessary, interfering and totally killed the moment. A shame this shop is run by such a do good busy body.

I didnt bother using the drive thru as it was so backed up so went in instead. Wish I hadn't bothered, the service was so incredibly slow despite quite a few staff members behind the counter, although a couple of them seemed to be wandering about not serving. I would have thought with a large queue it would be all hands on deck. Coffee once I got it was fine but not worth the long wait.

Should a restaurant this new have a rat problem? A member of staff told me they they wouldn’t eat there and tell their family not to either. Appalling really, I’ve reported it to environmental health and will follow it up to make sure these guys sort it out. I go to a lot of Costa’s but this one is by far the rest.

Nothing to offer vegetarians except cheese and tomato panini. Very disappointing , they need to provide more choices

Staff were not friendly and got our orders all wrong. Didn’t seem apologetic at all. Not the reception you need when quickly getting a drink at a drive thru

Good coffee and always experienced decent service. Just wish they would put their system back online so I can get my costa points!! Know it went through as I checked my receipt! Still waiting......

We visited here lunchtime for a quick bite and a drink. The visit started badly when upon ordering a white chocolate we were told the mix had been recalled due to incorrect allergen info. If it's not available cover it up on the menu board!!! My wife's latte was too milky, we were not offered sauces with our toasties and had to ask for sauce, then my toastie had a large inedible vein of fat running through the ham. We sat near the window overlooking the Next car park and upon looking down noticed the area at the foot of the window was very dirty and unclean. All in all not a pleasurable experience and we won't be returning in a hurry.

Why is it that Costa can have 5 staff working and still have poor service? It perplexes me that with that many staff, the queues can be so long? I now realise that it’s the operating model, because the two Costa’s local to me are exactly the same. The bottle neck being the single Barista attempting to make every single variable of available coffee type (slowly) from scratch, very frustrating, whilst the other staff take your order with huge impatience, creating a huge backlog! This place has seating, toilets and free WiFi.

went there for a coffee and cake yesterday, was shocking , the coffee was watery and took them ages to make, and the banana and pecan cake was dry and had no flavour , not cheap , wont be going back , service also shocking

We went here on Sunday at 10.15 ish for breakfast. It was just starting to get busy at this time. We got a table however by the time we left it was busy and there were no free tables. We ordered a small plain hot chocolate, a toaster, panini, muffin and a slice of cake coming to just over £15. Our hot food was brought to our table. Service was friendly. My drink wasn’t initially out on a play so split everywhere. I had to ask for a fork for the toastie and for napkins. They did happily oblige.

Visited mid Saturday morning with my 6 yr old daughter. The queue was horrendous ans the waiting time was equally as bad. There were very few free tables and the ones that were had dirty cups and plates on. There were no staff clearing the tables. We sat at a table cluttered with dirty cups for nearly 10 mins before i found someone on the cafe floor to ask to clear my table. If you don't have the staff to clear tables then at least have a station so that people can clear the tables themselves.

Nice trip today for a toastie, hot chocolate, cooler, muffin and cake. Staff were efficient. The place was clean, tables were ample. Would return.

Sencillamente, el café estaba bueno, tartas era bueno y el personal era muy amable y atento. Cuando cafeterías están estandarizadas es difícil conseguir comprar en pasteles y cuando barman capacitado para el mismo nivel de calidad que es difícil conseguir un café malo. Lo que hace la diferencia es el personal, y en esta costa de personal amable, atenta y generosa. Buen trabajo, chicos.

Quick stop off with my daughter for coffee & I was pleasantly surprised. Cleaner than your average Costa, more friendly and a nice atmosphere. I will definitely pop in again !

Nice coffee and a great atmosphere. Very friendly!!! The range of drinks they offer is amazing. Only problem is the can be a bit pricey.

Convenient location, busy atmosphere, airy yet warm atmosphere. Happy to wait for a decent coffee to be made, which it was, but frustrating that hot tea cakes were delivered a good 5 mins before the coffee was ready. I do like food and drinks to coincide. Lovely lady at the till offered to replace the tea cakes when we asked for them to be reheated (not allowed).

This one certainly lived up to Costa standards quick, cheerful staff as ever very busy,possibly one of the busiest we have been in,we managed to grab a sofa !!

Can get really busy at peak times but otherwise has really pleasant seating and standard Costa fare. There are some sofas but very competitive to get so can be a little tight when busy.

Generally a Costa is a Costa and this is certainly a Costa.

Always good coffee and friendly staff. One the busiest coffee shops in town. Staff always remembers my drinks even if I'm not coming for a while.

This lovely little costa coffee is situated inside Next. Has plenty of seating available. Staff are friendly and efficient. Coffee tasted great and is reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
