Cosmos in Edinburgh, City of

We’ve been to a few Chinese or world buffets over the past couple of years and this one is absolutely the worst for food that I’ve ever been to. Positives: it looks nice, the seats are comfortable and it’s fairly well laid out. The vast majority of dishes are labelled for allergens and the toilets were clean. The wait staff are friendly and helpful, and a shout out to Isla who was lovely and welcoming. Negatives: The food. It’s why you come to a buffet, I don’t expect everything to be amazing, but usually I’ll find one or two things that are amazing and I’d like more of. Not here. Bland, tasteless, mushy and / or really poor quality ingredients. I tried a lot of dishes and didn’t go back for anything. At our table we were sharing which dishes not to try. It really was awful and I won’t be back on that basis. There’s a lot of excellent restaurants in Edinburgh for a similar price point. Worth looking elsewhere.

It was my first time going to Cosmo for a while and didn't realise that it had been refurbished. The place looks amazing. I was sat quickly and had my drink order taken and was told to help myself to the buffet. The food was fantastic and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be heading back again soon.

I was very disappointed. The chips & potatoes were recooked, the pizza was rubbery & the food was look warm & tasteless. Will not be back.

Undoubtedly the worst meal I’ve ever had. Everything was Cold, rubbery & a complete waste of time/money. Would recommend to avoid.

Was nice with what was there. We were booked in from 8.30 to 10 but as this is near the closing there was hardly anything left and the food was taken out of the hot dishes so was almost cold! You expect if you book in the opening times you get what is advertised and everything should be put away / tidied away once the restaurant is closed and not when customers are there and paid the full price! We won’t be back. There was also 1 waitress with a serious attitude problem.

Food was cold. Poor selection and lack of heating. Such a disappointment. Spoiled what had been a great couple of days away.

One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in a restaurant. What food there was was tepid and mostly inedible. Definitely not as advertised on the website. Why it has 4.3/5 is beyond me!! In addition to the awful food, the toilets had no hand soap and were not clean. Avoid this place if you are looking for good quality food, there are better places to spend your hard earned cash in.

Excelente lugar, es buffet y tiene variada comida, oriental principalmente, pero es muy conveniente y con el personal amable para atención. Lo único malo es que los olores de la cocina se pasan al comedor, por lo que te aseguro tu ropa tendrá olor a comida.

Always visit Cosmo where I can. However, the level of service in Edinburgh was extremely poor. The general managers attitude was positively the worst I’ve ever witnessed. No customer interaction skills at all. From the point they answered the phone to the point we left, we thought things may improve. How wrong were we. I believe the managers need at least some basic training. No apology whatsoever for the way we were treated. One word “disgusting’

Food was cold, was not getting replenished quick enough, noodles dry, ice cream like water, cakes awful, rossted veg tasteoess, pizza was abiut the nicest thing, but took 25 minutes for them to replennish. I will never go back the quality of food was so bad.

This place is very busy but the ambience is still good. The food was delicious a very wide choice. Desserts to die for. Will visit again

During my family one hour visit the waiter came ones after my intervention. Food is ok but nothing special. Looks like they go for quantity rather than quality!!! Desserts are disgusting and no choice at all. So if you are happy to gobble up with poor quality food go there.

Superb food, superb service, superb drinks. Clean, efficient. Comfortable and nice atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit very much. Only comment would be more and better desserts, so many cheesecakes, too many cheesecakes.

Time we was in was 5.30 obviously needs to be soon as dinner service starts a lot of dishes sitting empty like the pasta’s all empty 🤷‍♀️amongst other things

Staff were rude and inattentive, whipping away plates before you could even finish. Witnessed one chef coughing all over the food he was prepping. Toilets dirty and floor very slippy. Won’t be hurrying back.

Ristorante a prezzi fissi diviso a settori tra varie etnie che variano tra le diverse cucine asiatiche europee e latine.Ottimo buffet di dolci.Locale carino e organizzato.

We celebrate with my boyfriend our anniversary there , as he is so greedy about food he love it :). Planty of choices !

I’ve never been to a buffet styled restaurant quite like this before. The variety in foods is astonishing, going from Italian styled foods to Chinese. The seafood section was astonishing, with the chef cooking the squid etc right in front of you, with your choice of sauce. I had teriyaki squid, and it’s definitely one of my favourites now. The only issue I would say being that you’re only aloud to be sat for 1 hour 30 minutes (if I remember correctly), but I do understand this will be due to the high volume of customers they attract, as waiting times to be seated could go up to an hour without reservations. All in all great place, would defo recommend!!!

Cosmo has always been a hit with me & my family. Plenty food and an amazing variety at a reasonable price. Tables could do with a slight manoeuvre as sometimes there isn’t enough space to eat comfortably with people knocking you as they go passed otherwise ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Called in with friends last night and had, once again, a fabulous dinner. Booking in advance is essential at weekends and we had done this a couple of weeks before, so we were shown straight to our table on arrival. Top marks to the serving staff who are always friendly and helpul. The restaurant is big but tastefully decorated and has a great buzz. Most importantly of course is the food and you won't find a better quality or more diverse menu than the one at Cosmo's. Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian etc the dishes are very fresh and full of flavour and everything is spotlessly clean. Give it a try and see if you can find a better world banquet anywhere for the money. Just amazing and I can't wait for the next time I visit.

First time there the food was excellent with plenty of choices only down side table was booked for 5pm we arrived at 4-45 and had to queue up outside in the rain as it did not open until 5 will definitely go back again

Arrived at 5:25pm for a 5:30 booking for 13. Blowing an absolute gale outside with a snowstorm. We walked into the restaurant and within 30 seconds were ordered to leave as they didn’t open till 5:30. We asked could we wait in the foyer due to the horrific weather conditions and were told no we had to wait outside! Staff were beyond rude and one even shoved past us in his way out. We were booked to see a show at the Playhouse and with 13 of us it was unlikely we would be able to book anywhere else at such short notice. We were let in after 5:30 along with 20 or so other customers who were freezing outside. One of our party went out for some fresh air and were harassed by staff who shouted have you paid, have your paid, even after they had explained that they were with a large party etc. Even when settling g the bill at the end, bar staff pushed past us and were just so rude it was an awful experience.

Visitar Edimburgo por un largo fin de semana y un amigo me dijo que probara Cosmo. Tanto yo como mi pareja disfrutamos mucho la comida y el medio ambiente. Fuimos a las 7 y media de un domingo. Había comida fresca y abundante y no estaba demasiado ocupado para disfrutar / llegar a la comida. Como comemos principalmente vegetarianos, encontramos que había muchas opciones para elegir y cada plato está etiquetado claramente con información de alérgenos y si son vegetarianos.Sin duda volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en Edimburgo.

Heerlijk restaurant als je van zwetende obers, haren in je eten, koud voedsel uit ijzeren bakken, dingen in je drinken & veel vet houd. Vooral enorm genoten van kipnuggets met haar & zweet amuses. Visit here once or twice a year when visiting Edinburgh and have been impressed in the past but this time... distinctly average. Table booked for 7:30 on a Sunday evening and arrived to a buzzy, busy place as usual. By 8:00 pm it was half empty and stayed that way. Never seen that at Cosmo before so, was it a quiet night or reflective of something else. Well, in tghe poast I';ve been highly complimentary of the work rate of staff and the way in which they interact with customers...I knwo it was quiet but there was a lot of ambling about and, despite the fact they should have had more time to engage, very little talking to customers. I've also noticed good floor management in the past... notably absent this time. Finally the food... pretty much the same on offer as usual but looking and tasting a little tired. It is also the first time that I've seen the Teppanyaki chef with nothing to do for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. I usually skip that station as the wait is too long. Hopefully an off night as, in the past, I'd rate this place amongst the best of its type in the country but on the evidence of this trip they need to up their game.

In July 2019 I went to Cosmos Edinburgh for my lunch with my family. The experience was good, I like that there are different kinds of foods for everyone and they have refillable drinks. The food was really good. I took a plate from the plate holder and it wasn't properly cleaned but there were more clean ones underneath. It was quite busy but my experience was good. I would definitely return

We visited for lunch after lots of people recommending this restaurant but were quite disappointed. Some of the stations were shut off. The rice was hard. Staff were friendly. There seemed to be no bowls at the pudding section at that point so many people eating ice cream from dinner plates. Would not return again, unfortunately. The food that was available was quite nice, particularly the Italian. Maybe dinner options would be better

I’m 39 and probably eat out once a week ,in that time I’ve only ever complained once about a meal anywhere however , this is my 2nd time as I just never complain normally so tells you how poor it was. We’ve been 5-6 times in the past and always been amazing not been for over a year but our son picked here for his 13th birthday meal. It was shocking, such a let down. Always clean but selection was dreadful, food seemed to be lying for too long and chicken was brick solid on multiple dishes. No pakora at all a Buffett no pakora!!! At one point I put my knife into tikka that was so hard it my knife couldn’t cut it and it flew off the table.

Visited Cosmos for lunch and left feeling underwhelmed from my previous experience here, on our last visit the staff were great service efficient and food excellent.Having ordered drinks i then had to ask a further three times for my order and waited over 20 minutes for them to arrive, the food buffet had empty disshes frequently and the staff seemed overwhelmed by the customers.I did have an excellent Lamb Rogan Josh but felt let down by the quality of some of the other dishes, rice dishes were particularly bland and uninspiring.The Sweets were sparse and the choice very poor.

This place was recommended by someone who was staying at our hotel so on her recommendation we went. What can I say, it was alright, some of the food was lovely but some was not. There certainly was enough choice with over 150 meals but because it was so big and I mean big don't expect a quite romantic meal. All in all for all you can eat on a Saturday night for £15.00 pp its great value for money and you do come out full.

We went at lunch time and a few of the areas were shut off. Next time we will come at the evening time as we have heard more areas are open!

Was over from Australia visiting friends for Hogmanay, one of whom booked a table for 15 early on NYE. Seated straight away, no waiting in the small queue that had formed outside. Our family have had quite a few experiences with top end buffets in Dubai, Singapore, USA, Australia etc (how we are not all 120+ KG's I'll never know). Cosmo Edinburgh had a great variety of food and everything seemed fresh and hot. Thoroughly enjoyed the Indian selections though the carvery was a bit lacking to be fair with the roast potatoes the flop of the evening. Huge Chinese selection which most was very good. Would definitely revisit when we are next in town and recommend for anyone looking for reasonably price good food 8/10 from me

Food never disappoints always plenty to chose from. Every taste catered for. Fresh cooked stations always busy. Eat your fill

I love an all you can eat buffet and Cosmo didn't disappoint. Staff were polite and friendly and food was delicious, especially the Strawberry Gateux

I went to Cosmos for the first time with my daughter. I was amazed at the size of the place. The range of dishes is superb and it was all really good quality. Fantastic value for money. The place was very busy so would recommend booking in advance.

Half the dishes suggested on the website were not there, large areas of the place were empty, there was a limited amount of food except Indian and Chinese. There were no european taster dishes such as mini burgers, mousaka etc. Quality was poor. The service was terrible, the best part was the chocolate fountain but even then half the other desserts were missing. Drinks are refilable which is a plus. Would not go again.

We always make a point of eating at Cosmo when we visit Edinburgh. Always plenty choice and food always good. Today we had lunch and can honestly say we will never be back. The food wasn't replenished nearly enough for the amount of people in the place. Several times I attended for starters and there was hardly anything left. What remained was dry. Rice was stuck to bottom of silver dishes and no puds at all, again despite around 4 separate visits to see if anything had been brought out. No chocolate fountain, only ice cream machine, some fruit and sweets. Also the drinks were completely flat. Really disappointed and never had this before.

Fuimos al buffet para comer nada mas llegar a Edimburgo, pues lo habiamos visto en tripadvisor y por los comentarios decidimos ir. Es enorme, la decoración bonita y moderna, los camareros amables y Laura una española que nos atendió muy atenta. Hay comida de varios paises a escoger, Italiana, China, Japonesa, India, etc. bastante internacional si quieres salir de la tipica comida escocesa. Nos gusto bastante las calidad de la comida y el precio. Para comer 12,50 GBP y para cenar es algo mas caro 16,50 GBP. Los festivos noche 18,00 GBP, esta abierto desde las doce del mediodia a las cuatro de la tarde, y de cinco a diez y media por la noche, festivos cierran a las once de la noche. Estuvimos un par de veces y nos salvó por horario para cenar cuando llegamos un poco tarde de un tour. Lo recomiendo si quieres variar en comidas y cenas, los platos bien elaborados.Destacar la simpatia de uno de los camareros que es griego pero habla algo de español,

Loads of choice of food and all the stuff I had was nice and fresh. Was very busy but this did not affect us.

After a visit to the Xmas market we thought we would give Cosmo a try for lunch and as far as Buffet restaurants go we did enjoy it. Very busy so food replenished all the time and nice and fresh, plenty of choice of starters and mains from all around world and plenty of deserts although was too full for them.

We visited cosmos today for lunch.( we had a reservation for 12 noon just as they opened.). food delicious..but come on not hot enough . And cold plates!!!!! So by the time you get back to your table food cooler again. This was our first visit and yes we will go back if food n plates hotter. Colin wallace....

As far as this type of place goes, I thought COSMO was pretty decent with its wide range of Indo-Oriental food choices (plus a few Italian and European options too). There was enough choice to have me deliberating over what to choose and the quality of everything I tried was very good - hot & spicy Thai soup, crispy chicken goujons, salt & chilli prawns (big ones), duck in Hoisin with pancakes, chicken satay, fried beef with egg fried rice and the odd nibble at some Indian foods too - £9.50 for the food and £3.45 for the "bottomless" drink (refill all day if you want). It is a big dining hall and can be noisy with all the chat and diners to-ing and fro-ing to refill their plates, so its not for you if you want the quiet, intimate, dining experience. Staff were quick to remove used plats from the tables and the lady who looked after my table was most pleasant and friendly. I'd definitely come here again. Excellent value.

First time I have visited Cosmo after going to similar places like Hot Flame. Felt that a) too many people packed in b) staff did not replenish empty serving trays very quickly. Some of the chicken I had was inedible as hard and crusty. However there is a good choice of food and some cooked fresh in front of you. Felt the staff were wanting us to leave quick we were in and out in an hour!

We had a show to see at the playhouse and between the train journey, traffic and the weather we had exactly 58 mins to eat otherwise we’d be late and miss the show. We were about to hit tesco for snacks to sneak it when we saw this. All other restaurants in the centre were packed (by sensible people who probably booked before their show gave themselves enough time). This was busy to be fair but they said we could have a table in no more than 15 mins. They were true to their word and given it’s a buffet everything was ready to eat. Ideal for being pushed for time. It’s not amazing but it does the job and the service was really good. I do think expensive for a buffet which can be a hit or miss. We were £63 for 2 adults and a 3 year old with 3 soft drinks.

As suggested in title waitress attempted to seat us at the worst table I've ever seen in a restaurant . Would've literally had to squeeze through literally packed tables to get to ours. Refused point blank. Then guess what were given a reasonable sited table.Waitress couldn't speak English? Literally did not understand what a 1/2 pint was ? Though she was pleasant.Food average. Roast potatoes and Brussels sprouts very poor especially.Restaurant full of younger crowd. Probaly more suited to them not couples.Also ripped off with this St Andrews day surcharge.Would not recommend.

Given the queue to the place was about 100 long, I thought it was going to be epic. Having booked a table we were shown to our seats in a dinner type hall that was akin to all inclusive with folk darting about all over,over filling plates and eating the food like it was going out of fashion. On eventually getting to the alleged cooking stations, there was mass produced food in canteen style serving tins on ban Marie's. Only half an hour after opening and the food was already cold!! Plenty of groups of older males and mixed groups who looked 2 sheets to the wind, most likely on xmas party trips who appeared to be liking the food as it dribbled down their chins etc. The place reminded me of the all you can eat buffet that was near to waverley. The xmas dinner, well, having read their menu I thought, happy days. The reality was.... very poor. Frozen roast potatoes, burnt sprouts, boiled Turkey and gammon that had been killed with cloves, possibly to hide the taste? I will not return, I have spent years eating canteen food in forces etc etc and had many an all inclusive holiday. This was not even as good as any of them and that's an accolade in itself!! Folks, yes it's cheap enough but, I would maybe go next door to one of the omni centre eateries.

I emailed the restaurant regarding this complaint and used their feedback service.....they didn't bother replying.I booked a table for 2 on Monday 2nd December at 14.00hrs. Your website and booking system stated the price was £9.50 (slightly more expensive than normal because it included a festive menu).When we arrived, we were told the price was £17.99 because it was St Andrews Day!!St Andrews Day was actually 2 days before anyway and wasn't reflected in your menus.How can you justify that price increase?We didn't have time to go elsewhere and had no choice but to pay.This is a shocking way to treat your customers. You accepted my booking at the price of £9.50 but charged me £17.99 per head!

Very good food, a lot to choose from and excellent staff that very welcoming and helpful. A lot for my mother to eat who’s allergic to gluten. Highly recommend.

Recommend you pre book or you will have a long wait - quick service if booked - Food good - selection good - drinks reasonable if your wanting a quiet meal you will not get it here it’s very busy and popular with family’s and large groups the only down side was the cashier who took our payment is the queen of dirty looks not sure why ?? perhaps she should concentrate on serving one person at a time apart from her all good will try again

Definitely need a booking, when we arrived having booked we were taken straight to a table, wrong drinks delivered to table but quickly sorted out, choice of food was ok but have been to better world buffets! Was easy enough to follow flow but disappointing amount of starters and many main dishes you would expect were not there (sweet and sour chicken for example). several dishes were empty (it was extremely busy) and seemed to take a while to fill up! Was ok but won’t hurry back, would rather go to the Kinema in Dunfermline!

Had my first ever visit to Cosmo today in edinburgh. WOW never seen such a mind boggling array of food from every corner of the globe. There was so much to choose from I was at a loss as i knew i could not try everything. That bring said i started with Chinese then a Turkey dinner and finished with lamb curry,which i have to say was one of the best i gsve ever tried. Its essential to make a reservation as it foes get very busy.all in all a wonderful experience I will recreate as there is one down where I live in London I will be going there in the future.

Came along to Cosmos today for some lunch at 1pm with the family. Sadly I was put off my food due to the smell of rotten egg that was circulating. I think it was coming from the ventilation. I mentioned it to the waiter but couldn't be moved seats. The food choice is really good and the selection is nice and would recommend it to anyone but they need to look into whatever caused that smell.

Didn't know what to expect but my 18yr old son who eats for Scotland really wanted to go. You have to book and it doesn't open till 5.30pm so expect a huge Q outside. However don't let this put you off. They have your table ready even if you're right at the back of that Q. By 5.45pm it was full. Inside is very modern, clean and really lovely.It reminded me of a good 4* AI hotel abroad. Food was warm, tasty and well presented. The service is superb. Very slick. My only criticism is that I'd finished eating before they brought my drink. All the staff spend the first 20 mins or so taking people to their table. Although they take your drinks order immediately it's quite a wait for the glasses. It was the same with every table. Very good price - £38 all in (refillable drinks too). Will definitely come back.

We decided to eat at COSMO after struggling to pick a restaurant as it offers a bit of everything. Previous world food buffets have been a disappointment and find the quality of food is below average. We arrived to be told there was a 15-20 minute wait but decided to stay and wait, taking the waiting time as a good sign and we weren't disappointed! The restaurant is modern and clean and bigger than expected. However, there was lots of tables close by which meant it was quite cramped and hard to get through to the food when sat far away. There is loads of food options to choose from so there is something for everybody and surprisingly, the food was very good quality which is rare and unexpected from a buffet style restaurant. The staff were all helpful and attentive, clearing empty plates and regularly cleaning around the food area. It's also fantastic value for money, most buffets have overpriced drinks to make more money, this one offers refillable soft drinks for around £3.50. This meant in total, for two adults with two drinks, the bill came to just over £36 (then had 10% student discount taken off one of the meals). We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and would visit again!

Not happy with the table because, each table is too near to other. But the food was great, my husband love the chicken tikka curry. I love Asian food.

Visited with my son for lunch before going to the playhouse. Nicely greeted by host. When waitress took us to table showed my Nhs card for discount which she did not have a clue about. Then asked for a can of juice and again she didn’t understand and ended up with bottomless drink - £3.45 quite expensive considering I struggle to drink a full one and didn’t want refills.As it was lunchtime there was no show cooking or carvery - food was ok at best but nothing to rave about. All desserts had run out and there was a queue while waiting for them to be replenished and I didn’t see any hot desserts.Went up to pay bill and low and behold Nhs discount hadn’t been applied but it was quickly rectified.Quite poor in comparison to hot flame or Beijing banquet and would not rush back as there are so many better places to eat around this area.

I came here at a quarter to six on a Thursday evening.When I got inside there was a queue and all the tables were taken.I was told to wait till after six but there seemed no point.This was a first for me.

We booked a table for 8 people for a birthday on Friday evening of the 1st November. There was plenty variety and the food was of a high standard. It’s an idea location for fussy eaters or for a group who can’t decide on one particular food type. As it’s a buffet, there is no waiting around and the food is constantly being replenished. There slowest part of the service is waiting for the drinks to arrive. The staff are busy but pleasant. All in all a good experience. If you want to guarantee yourself a table I would advise you to book in advance. We will be back.

Cosmo used to be outstanding quality for a buffet restaurant but not any more. It seems to have joined the ranks of the cheap and cheeerful buffets but is no longer for us. We were particularly disappointed with the soups and the thai curries which were very thin and watery and lacking in flavour.

This was arranged by my daughter as the best place to meet up with her and her family after we both arrived in Edinburgh from opposite ends of the UK. (Shetland & Derby). Always advisable to book in advance. Wide variety of dishes from traditional carvery through Italian, Chinese and Indian with some Thai dishes also available. excellent food all buffet style just go back as often as you like to sample as many as you like but don't forget to leave room for your choice/s from the dessert buffet. One charge covers all. Seems dear for coke or lemonade etc but when you realise you can refill your glass as often as you like it's not bad at all. True it is a bit noisy but with withover 100 peaople eating, moving round the serverys and the staff clearing away empty plates that's only to be expected.

Food was plentiful and tasty but buffet meals are not for me. Was busy and noisy. They charge a lot for coke but you can refill your glass but one more than enough. There were lots of young people and families there but not a relaxing meal

Visites for lunch. Varied and tasteful food. Excellent servise. You get a lot for your money. Will gladely be back!

As buffet restaurants go this is one of the better ones. Spacious, clean and reasonably priced with a wide variety of largely good quality food. The sushi was pretty decent and the curry selection was also good, with plenty of tasty veggie options. The desserts were plentiful though not as good as the mains by and large. I'd recommend not eating before you visit, as it's the sort of place that you need to have worked up quite an appetite for if you want to do it justice. Also worth booking as it gets very busy.

We arrived 5mins after opening and were told we would need to wait "a few minutes" for a table. Finally got one well over an hour of standing in reception later. Complete lack of consideration for customers - just be honest about wait time! Won't be back

It’s okay the food range is vast. It’s far too easy to overeat here and the quality I wouldn’t say is the best. Staff seem to vary. As we sat asked for drinks order. Said can we have a look at the menu. That waitress never returned. After waiting 10 mins asked another one can we order drinks. Yes I’ll come back but they never did. Then asked another who took the first 2 drink orders then walked away. Called them back and finally ordered all our drinks. Only to then get the wrong drinks brought to the table. Would say the motto of the place is cram them in as not the easiest of places to get around. Won’t be rushing to return here.

This restaurant is fantastic! They had a wide variety of options from all around the world! Their desert bar was to die for! You definitely needed to let the waitstaff know if you wanted anything, but the food and buffet style was delightful! I am definitely coming here for my next visit!

Visited this place yesterday after an overnight in Edinburgh.I had never been before or asked anyone who had so I had no idea what to expect.What can I say?....would totally recommend Cosmos to everyone.The choice of food is huge for a buffet.If anyone visits this place and doesn't find anything they like,well,that must be impossible.Great service,the dirty plates were taken away almost immediately after sat at the end of the table.Every plate of food I had was lovely.No complaints whatsoever about Cosmos,all I can say is go and try it out you won't be disappointed.

Family of three in Edinburgh. Given local prices we opted for Cosmo where the buffet allows you to choose from Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican and British is in there somewhere. Place was very busy which shows an appeal to many. The cost was £8.50 each but drinks were three quid or so on top. Food selection was very good although differing temperatures. All at your own pace and fresh plates and cutlery available unlike some others where such a request may be frowned upon. Worth the money but all food being hot would be preferred.

Food was cold, no taste and the staff were not helpful. We asked about the bill as we hadn't been there before, what a dirty looks we got from one member of staff, if looks could kill as the expression goes, it was so bad when I got back to the hotel I was sick, so will not be going again.

My kids and myself loved this place will certainly return clean well worth the fantastic prices very helpful staff

Situated at the OMNI Centre and next door to the courtyard Edinburgh Baxter Street had amazing dinner buffet with all kinds of ethnic dishes: Thai, Chinese, Indian, Scottish, steaks and burghers with lovely desserts unbelievable price, Food was brilliant. Lots to choose from. Very busy but the waiting staff are on the ball. Booking is advised (we booked - Saturday) otherwise you could be in for a lengthy wait if you just turn up, We had booked for ‪5.30pm‬ and arrived on time, still we had to join a queue, But we were seated within 10 minutes. I think they should have 2 separate queues for those booked and walk ins, But it wasn’t a big issue we got seated. Having said that there was great choice of food all of which was of a very good standard. Staff were friendly and on the ball, service was prompt. Plate after plate my polish friend loves a Cosmo I think he might be sending the food home like his money.Will be a returning customer.

Been here afew times, and it never fails my expectation, different food selections from all over the world in one place, cant beat that.

Visited with a large family group, we were seated quickly. Drinks order took a little while to place, refill sodas are a good option. Plenty of variety and restocked quickly. Food was fresh and tasty, another enjoyable experience at a reasonable price. Thanks, will be back and would recommend.

When dining with my mum, who suffers from panic attacks, eating out can be a stressful time. On the reservation I requested a quiet table away from the food serving area and the staff were more than willing to accommodate. She was able to get her food straight away and instead of having a plate full of one thing, she had the massive choice to choose from which made the dining experience pleasant for us all. The staff were very helpful and they cleared our table as soon as we were finished with our plates.

went to dinner buffet with family. the tepanyaki station made the difference as well as some certain plates at the various buffet stations (mussels asian style) the rest were at least as good as any other buffets and better than most (if not all) ive visited. didnt like most of the indian dishes. overall certainly worth the money if you dont get full on the lower quality food first. you definitely wont leave hungry. the trick is to enjoy without trying to sample everything (impossible to do on one visit).

We were there around 1.45pm & they told us that the last round to get the food was at 2.45pm & closed at 3pm. We greatly appreciate the heads up before agreeing to step in as an hour is sufficient for us. There was a good variety although I can't say any particular dish is good. The duck meat is too dry. There is no fish. But for that price, it is considered a good deal/meal.

First time ever visiting this restaurant and It wont be my last. So much choice everyone can get something to satisfy their appetite. Chinese,Indian,Italian,Scottish,Japanese, European. Food quality really good, dishes always full up. Quick clear away by the waiting staff. Staff are very friendly

Best way to discribe our visit is it was okay. The service was good not expectional, the food good but nothing stood out, drinks were standard restaurant fare. Don't get me wrong, nothing was terrible, just nothing stood out. On the plus side, there was plenty to choose from and everyone can find something they like. I think this would be ideal for a larger group of people since it caters to a large variety of tastes. I would eat here again but I wouldn't make a special trip to do so.
