I walked past this place on the way to do my washing. The door was open, so having heard good things about it, I thought I would come back for my breakfast. I came back at three minutes to nine, the door was still open, I was told that they didn't open till nine and I should come back later. So, as there were a number of alternatives in the street I went elsewhere.

I can only assume the review below was written by a spiteful competitor or someone who went to Cosiez before the present management took over.In truth, I am an incredibly fussy gourmand who loathes anywhere that is either pretentious or expensive. Thankfully, Cosiez is neither. I have probably been to everywhere that serves 'fry-ups' in Brighton, and I can totally independently confirm that Cosiez uses only the very best ingredients (including their fabulous sausages and their freshly squeezed orange juice) . Thus I am so bewildered by the review beneath.Having been there on at least ten occasions I can also confirm that the staff are as charming as the food is scrumptious and comparatively affordable. I cannot imagine that anyone who had actually been there would disagree.

Entró y volvió a salir.

Traditional pub on the seafront at Rottingdean. Snug downstairs bar and an upstairs room with an attractive balcony. Real beer (mainly or entirely Harvey's) and a good selection of food. No parking. Bus stop (several routes) and (crowded) public car park nearby.

Lovely food and staff, was very quiet when we went on a Sunday which the staff said was rare so prepare for it to be a bit busy I had lamb and my mum had pork, the Yorkshires were amazing No coke on tap which is sad but can be forgiven

Best brunch/cafe around! Pancakes are delicious and American style with maple and streaky bacon (writing as an American, I really appreciate this ☺️). Mushrooms are unexpectedly delicious! Can be a bit crowded/noisy on weekends but who can blame the crowds? It's an obvious choice for a laid-back coffee or, even better, chocolate chai latte.
