Wow! What can i say… the best mexican restaurant in london. The moment we walked in we felt super welcome and the food was as close to authentic mexican food as you can get in london! We had the ceviche tostada, guacamole (best in london), but the star of the show was the torta ahogada! Not only was the food amazing but they have an extensive list ot tequila and mezcal which the staff are super knowledgeable about! Thanks for a great evening!

as a californian who desperately misses mexican food this place was amazing! the closest to authentic by far in london, and a very very cute familiar looking atmosphere. the vegetarian options were pretty good, i do wish there were a bit more but generally we were very happy. their oaxaca beans and salsa and chips were incredible! the brunch was delicious!!

Great food and service, but too packed and loud. The acoustics of the place are horrendous, which might seem secondary, but you can barely hear the people you are with without shouting. Also, the distribution of the tables are a bit odd. We were seated by a column that left no space to get out without rubbing my bum against another customer. Food was decent. But it’s one of those places too hyped up by Instagram.

Nice atmosphere and service was friendly. Most of the vegetarian dishes were marked as 'vegan option available'. I was disappointed to discover that this meant they would remove the non-vegan elements and serve it as is, for the same price. The food that was served was tasty but I'm afraid I was not impressed by the inclusivity of the menu. The complimentary wheat puffs were a nice touch, but we weren't told they were fried in fish oil until we had finished them. I feel this is an important thing to mention to a guest who you know is vegan.

Stumbled across this place, unbelievable food and Smokey mezcal margaritas. Had birria tacos beef and the carnitas at lunch on Saturday. Lovely staff too. 100% will be back for dinner menu.

Had a lovely time here! The food is very yummy and the staff is super friendly. Especially Jasmine (our server for the evening) was absolutely stunning. She recommended the best food and drinks to us and was such a ray of sunshine! If you go, don’t forget to tip Jasmine. Until next time!

I came here for the Queso fondido but they said they didn't have it today. It was still on the menu.. I had to order anyway cause I was quite hungry but it was a lot of disappointing.. If you saw the video and want to come for the fondue, better check before you're actually here.

My favourite restaurant in London. Have it on good authority (Mexican boyfriend), it's some of the best Mexican food in London. So well priced for quality. Atmosphere is super cute, Cantina especially is a cute intimate vibe if you can get a table.

Very tasty authentic Mexican food, not a typical tex-mex version. Came with a friend who had lived in Mexico so had authority on good Mexican food! Had a variety of tacos, vampiros and the pork Torta sandwich. All of it was delicious, although the beef short rib was a bit too salty. Great vibe, beautifully decorated and a friendly & efficient service. Would recommend!

This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve found in London. The handmade tortillas, authentic carnitas, and an impressive variety of salsas truly stand out. They also serve amazing cocktails, including the famous "cantaritos" – an absolute delight. As a Mexican who deeply misses authentic Mexican cuisine, I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Went there for Mexico Independence day and we had the most amazing time! Food was delicious, service was great, would recommend.

It took me 37 years to realose that Mexican is my favourite cuisine. There are not that many Mexican restaurants in London, but this one stands out. The food was very good. From start to finish, not one of complained. We all agreed that this was a spot worth coming back to. The fish tacos were exceptional, and I could eat them every single day. Their cocktails were also outstanding. I can't think of a better place in London for Mexican food. We will be back!

Our first time here! We both started with a mezcalita cocktail and shared some chips and guacamole which was lovely, we reserved a table and sat outside which was much quieter than inside and a great atmosphere. We then had a grilled octopus tostada and ceviche tostada both of which were so delicious and unique. Then we shared the two meat tacos, both incredible! We also shared some pickled chilli’s which were delicious but extremely spicy, order if you like fermented flavours and spice! We finished with a palomita cocktails which was unique and recessing and well balenced. The bill was 120 including service which we thought was good for the amount of food and two cocktails each. Great service and the food came extremely quickly, could have done with a little bit more time before the tostadas and the tacos to digest! Will be coming back, definitely book in advance

Corrochios is a little slice of paradise and our favourite Mexican spot! We’ve lost the count how many times we’ve been - but the food never disappoints (especially birria tacos and vamp carnitas 💞). The service is amazing, making you feel right at home, and their margaritas flow throughout the night.

Bustling restaurant. We enjoyed the oaxacan bean best! Tacos were alright - we had the classic birria and pork vampiros and la mecha tortas (sandwich - bread was good). There’s happy hour drinks before 7pm but we didn’t went for it.

Not as good as Bredos. The cocktails are really good but overall it’s a bit overpriced for what the food is. The service was lovely.

Haven't had chilaquiles since I was in Mexico. Tasted almost as good as the ones I had in tomatlan. Will definitely come back. Amazing selection of Latin cocktails / drinks too. Very friendly and easy to get on with waiter

Where to even begin! The food here was next level, super authentic and delicious Mexican food. Everything from the ambiance to the food takes me right back to sitting at a restaurant in the heart of Guadalajara. Highly recommend! Oh and get a spicy margarita!

Menu is varied with plenty of options, great for veggies and vegans too. Drinks and food were so good, we were well looked after too! We found them on social media and it definitely matched our expectations.

Corrochio’s has to be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in London. The decor is incredible and There’s a wide range of Mexican staples to choose from. The taste is like being back in Mexico with all the amazing ingredients put into the dishes. Carnitas vampiros, birria, guac and tostada de camarón are personal favs and the spicy margs are the best in town. 100% recommend!!

I dined here with a friend as we had heard good reviews about the food and we’ve been looking forward to trying a Mexican that actually serves delicious and tasty food. We managed to get a reservation for 7:30pm even though we actually wanted 6:30 or 7 but this wasn’t available on opentable. So we settled for 7:30pm and thought we would try our luck and get to the restaurant earlier incase we could be seated before our time. When we got to the restaurant, we let the host know that we have arrived a little early and if they happen to have space before our 7:30 reservation we would be happy to be seated before our allocated time. We stood outside to wait as we were told that the bar area isn’t actually a bar area and we couldn’t sit there to wait. That’s all fine, so we waited and we saw multiple people leave the restaurant and not many people coming in with reservations. The host saw us standing outside and didn’t even think it would be appropriate to just update us since we did have a booking too, we weren’t just a walk-in. It then got to 7pm and I asked the host again if there is a possibility to seat us if those booked at 7pm do not turn up within the 15 minute grace period. The host then proceeded to say that there is no one booked for 7pm. So I responded, if that is the case, when booking on opentable there were no tables available at 7pm, so surely I would have been able to book for 7pm if there was a table available. Also, if there is no one booked for 7pm as the host was saying, surely he could have seated us. We believe that our request was not unreasonable as normally if people do not turn up after the grace period of 15 minutes, the tables are then released. I then asked to speak with the manager, and before I even got the opportunity to speak with the manager, the host decided to then seat us. We were made to feel like we were hassling the host and as customers that’s not right. We made a booking so it’s not like we were demanding to be seated as a walk-in. At one point we felt so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave but we wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. The only thing that saved our experience was our waitress who was lovely and attentive to us and the food which tasted delicious. I believe that every restaurant should be able to receive constructive criticism and the host has an incredibly important job of making guests feel welcome and to try and accommodate their needs as much as possible.

Food, venue and service were just ridic good. One of the best dining experiences in London.

My friend and I visited for dinner recently and had such a great time. The food and drinks were so fresh and flavourful (can particularly recommend the prawn ceviche tostada and the mezcalita cocktail). The restaurant itself is beautiful with great music, lots of seating, and a particularly cosy outdoor area (the staff were so accommodating and made sure to keep switching on the heated lamps for us). Speaking of staff, the service was faultless. We were served primarily by Amber and one other person who I regrettably don’t have the name of, but both (as well as all other staff that we interacted with) were so friendly, welcoming, and patient with our many questions about what they would personally recommend. We’ll be back for Taco Tuesday sometime very soon!

The coolest Mexican restaurant in London. Great tortas, the best taco Tuesday in the city, hands down. Also, you can get tortas ahogadas.

All were 5/5, the taste was so good and authentic to the Mexican cuisine. We ordered the same dish multiple times. Birria was great, at first I felt the shell overcooked and when I ordered again and asked for a softer tortilla it was perfect. The drinks were spot on, they are using good tequila here. The dessert was also great, we wanted more churros because they were cooked perfectly which isn’t easy to come by. The service and atmosphere was also top notch. Highly recommend.

The BEST tacos’ I’ve ever tasted. My party throughly enjoyed every dish. The mushroom tacos and quesadilla were my favourite. Staff were absolutely fantastic and we loved the ‘salad/condiment bar’. We will definitely be back!

Oh my word everything about this place is absolutely fantastic, the decor festival makes you feel like you are in the centre on CDMX - put they've done a really tasteful job with the outdoor area which adds to the transportive ambiance of the restaurant . The tilapia fish tacos were delicious as was the guac and birra tacos! Spicy margaritas were a 10/10 and they were doing happy hour at 2 pm on a weekend ! Perfect 10/10 no notes 💕🔥

I booked for Taco Tuesday weeks in advance. Been very excited about trying this place for months and then it emerged out of its basement home to a large double fronted ground floor restaurant. The food was so disappointing. I have never seen such small tacos. I guess they make them smaller for Taco Tuesdays. That is not the spirit of Taco Tuesday. The tiny portions weren't the only issue. The food was bland. Maybe no chilli's on Tuesday. Not tempted to return.

Had planned a visit here for a long while and was disappointed. The food was so average. bland and unmemorable. small tacos. tiny fish fillet. chicken tasted like it was heated up not fresh. mushroom taco overpowered by the cheese. Waiting staff lovely. good atmosphere. Maybe taco Tuesday wasn't the best night to visit but sadly I don't think I'll return to try again. Also no desserts on Tuesday night we were told as too much for kitchen staff to deal with.

Just Avoid Tuesdays. I went to this place before on a random evening and was quite happy with the quality of food and experience in general. So, when we saw the promotion on instagram for a meal deal with tacos every Tuesday, we decided to give it a go. I have to say, it was rather underwhelming. We found the quality of the tacos significantly lower than the previous time. More importantly, and I feel bad having to say this, but the service was truly disappointing. Our booking was for 9pm but we arrived about 10 minutes earlier. The hostess who greeted us at the door said we were too early and to come back. We decided to wait, as it was only few minutes. We were standing outside the doors but under the roof as it was drizzling outside. At about 20:56 (yes, I checked the time) the same hostess come to ask that we move further out, on the pavement. We thought it was pretty rude, especially as there were several empty seats and large tables inside which stayed available for the entire time we waited. I do appreciate that those weren’t our allocated seats, but that’s not how you treat customers. We could have been offered to wait inside, at a different table, temporarily, or to grab a stool for those few minutes instead of making us feel like we were a massive inconvenience for being there few minutes earlier. Long story short, please provide some kind of customer service training to your staff… this was very poor, even for east London.

Good restaurant for a group food was nice although maybe a little small in terms of price. Drinks are nice and service fast not too much atmosphere feels a lot like a chain or franchise ( maybe it is I’m not sure )

Went here with my wife for dinner. Had a table booked for an early dinner. When we arrived we didn't like the table we were given so asked of we could please be moved to another table that looked available. The Manager said we couldn't sit there because it was the owners table. Not that it's a problem but the table was still available when we left and I'm sure the owner wouldn't have minded. Anyway food was good but service was slow when it came time to pay the bill.

As a Mexican, I was surprised to find such good Mexican food in London. Excellent seasoning, the birria tacos and the carnitas vampires were my favorites! There is a variety of drinks and typical cocktails, the cantorito was my favorite. Highly recommended 👌🏻

LOVE this place, No.1 Spot for authentic mexican food and good spicy margs

Food was excellent (including vegan options) as were cocktails. The birria tacos and the huitlacoche oaxacan beans were delicious. However the portion sizes are extremely disappointing, especially given price.

Very uncomfortable arrangement. People sitting too close for comfort. No staff members greeting you at the door to show you to your table. You have to find your name on a card. Given the fact that it’s busy you’re bumping into people whilst trying to find your seats. Didn’t even bother with the food because the service and arrangement is appalling and hygiene is concerning with our table feeling sticky.

So excited about this new spot! The decor is so authentic, the food is really tasty, especially the carnitas and portobello mushroom tacos. Loads of options if you're gluten free! Portion sizes are definitely more British than Mexican :/ as are the prices. The chips and guac are so comically tiny, and the guac isn't even tasty so I wouldn't order that again. Overall a great addition to the city!

We booked this for my birthday which had been highly recommended by my daughter who had eaten there twice before. Sadly we were disappointed, there were 8 of us. My daughter felt the portion size had been reduced along with the choice of dishes, my vegan friend struggled with a lack of many choices. We tried most of the dishes and none particularly stood out and the chicken wings were tough. There was no reference to my birthday which added to our disappointment and the final bill felt overpriced. I wouldn’t return.

The food was great - would defo recommend. However, the service was not. We called a couple of hours before coming to check if they do walk-ins, which they told me they do, and that we should have no problem getting a table in the restaurant for 2. We specifically wanted to go to the restaurant and not the bar downstairs as the menu's slightly differ and we wanted to try stuff on your restaurant menu. When we get there, a waitress at the front greets us, we tell her we called ahead of time and we're told we can do a walk in at the restaurant, not bar. She ended up taking us downstairs to the bar and when I asked her if its the same exact menu she said yes and reiterated it in an annoyed tone - which was not true, as the staff at the bar downstairs told us there are stuff upstairs you can't get downstairs (and the menus online are different too), so we were frustrated by the fact that she lied just to sit us down faster (she was a bit dismissive, rude and rushed, which I sympathise as it was very busy but she could have been honest and told us the menus are different). Food was great for the most part (the tacos, octopus tostada and beans were phenomenal), the cactus torta (sandwich) was unfortunately burnt and a bit bland, but the rest of the dishes were really good.

Tried a somewhat limited Sunday brunch menu (I just wish they had more options there) but everything was glorious! I was finally able to find a good michelada con clamato - will be back for more for sure!

As good as it gets for Mexican food and drink. Worth the extra cost and the staff were brilliant. We will be going back!

The old Corrochio's had a great atmosphere and the food was amazing. New Corrochio's: - place: indoor space extremely loud, couldn't hear anything. - food: unfortunately extremely disappointing, I came back for it after a great experience. Food felt average, flavours not balanced ( too spicy or too sour), quickly made. - available time: you are rushed, turns to eat, I picked the last one at 9.30pm and the kitchen closes at 10.00. It felt rushed and pressured to choose. Service was good and the staff nice and helpful. Unfortunately my partner and I won't come back, the food and experience is not worth the price :(

Born and raised in Mexico city , I always give business to any fellow compatriot. I have worked the hospitality industry for over 20 years and this is the first time I felt so uncomfortable in a place. The so called manager took our order in a very bad mood and didn’t post it on the mini till he had in his hand, he decided to give napkins to someone else, and run some drinks, I have seen this attitude before in people they just don’t care about their job. I asked for a “mezcal negroni”, He replied “I don’t think we can make it, let me check” I would it passed this one but the chef patron Daniel Carrillo is apparently a former bartender, no surprises because the bar he use to worked “Bar works” has a 3.8 rate and the other bar he used to work is closed (ruby’s lounge). I got my mezcal negroni whit extra charge. No bottles of wine only by the glass. They need to know their menu better. Flavour of the food is on point, fresh is not so much we got the “vampiros” (type of tostadas ) they were gooey not crunchy. We waited 30min. for 2 cold tacos of birria while the rest was somehow still being prepared. And the so called manager was just staring poker face at us because my son decided to dance, no kids friendly whatsoever all the dishes has some sort of chilli in it and no kids menu. Then again if you order without this or that they will answer “let me check”. We had no food on the table just water, no one offered other drink I had stand up and asked someone else just to know about my drinks order. Long faces behind the bar, rushed attitude, being bother by questions. Dishes never came at the same time, they never brought us our guacamole they try to charge it on the bill. 1 hour and 20 min on service they decide to bring the bill and said “we need the table back”. Culturally you don’t do that to any Mexican is extremely disrespectful. Very disappointing for being Mexican restaurant and more because this place is taking the p iss out costumers charging mayfair prices, people in London don’t mind paying this prices as long as they make their money worth, next time I’ll take my £224 somewhere else.

Fantastic all round experience from the team at Corrochio’s!! The setting is absolutely beautiful with the teamwork and service from the team even better. The food is devine and I think you’ll be very hard pressed to go anywhere else in East London that does Mexican food any better! I’ll be back very soon!!

We love this place, and so impressed with the new space. We sat at the counter which was fun and ample room for all the dishes we ordered. Everything is so delicious, we especially loved the fish tacos and will be coming back especially for these. The staff are so attentive and knowledgable and didn't mind us deliberating over the menu for so long. We decided to continue the eve at the bar downstairs and had a fab night. We will be back soon !

The guys that served us were very helpful and kid I came with my brother that was craving some good Mexican and he said it was the best place I have ever taken him! The owner showed us the downstairs area and we were amazed by the decor and attention to detail! I cannot recommend more! As a Mexican living in the UK strongly suggest people to come and enjoy beautiful Mexican food here!

Coming from the US, this is probably the best Mexican food I’ve had in London. Mexican food in London is generally very bad and this place is solid and definitely goes beyond just scratching the itch of what I crave from back home.

Was told we were not allowed to sit in an area we wanted to because it was reserved (2 people wanted to sit at another 2 seater location). Finished our meal and the other seats were still free. Wasnt really happy that we were forced to sit somewhere we didnt want to. Food was quite nice but really small portions, like ridiculously small. Quite overpriced for what you get compared to other food in the area. Bit disappointed really. Wouldn't recommend, thought this was going to be amazing based on the reviews.

This was splendid. Went Sunday lunch, nice and laid back with great service. I can imagine it has a lovely vibe of an evening. Will definitely go back to check out. The food, exactly what it should be. Tasty, packed full of flavour from slow cooking to uplifting fresh produce and zingy limes and chillis. We left feeling very satisfied. A good looking cocktail menu, although I went for the Pale Ale. Food and drink to satisfy all in a lovely looking spacious restaurant.

We went to corrochios twice as we live across the road from them as we love Mexican food and in London it’s rare to find an authentic mexican food and corrochios did not disappointed! It’s absolutely amazing! The food it’s delicious and the service was spot on! Absolutely recommend! Worth the visit
