Fantastic selection of beer, friendly staff.

PLEASE add more animal-friendly (vegan) option to the menu. 🙏 Fantastic selection of beers though (available for take away or drink in). Huge bonus is that they have a bike rack on-site! Such an essential feature for those of us who cycle, as we can enjoy the drink while keeping an eye on our beloved bikes. Dogs (our furry friends) are welcome here too.

Appallingly rude customer service which is such a shame as the beer and atmosphere is great. One member of staff needs some serious customer service training! All 5 of us were amazed at their comment and it put us off staying for more drinks. And I work in hospitality so I understand the stresses and challenges.

One of my favorite places in London. All sorts of beer and very specific brands. Great service and atmosphere. The beer prices are also very fair

Terrible customer service. They tried to kick us off a table at 6pm because it was booked for 7pm. The reservation sign on the table literally said "booked at 7pm, feel free to use the table until then", so we got in a big (and incidentally, extremely overpriced) round of drinks and sat down and were basically immediately told to leave. When we explained we were only intending on staying until 7 anyway we were met with hostility and rudeness from the staff, when we asked to speak to the manager we found out that we already were. The other customer who had booked the spot then joined in, he was aggressive and sexist towards my partner, and this was completely condoned by the manager who just stood there watching as if we had done something really wrong. Extremely disappointing experience.

Unbelievable beer selection and nice cold food selection

Absolutely top notch bottle and keg masterpiece with a very decent Verdant cask thrown in. Had a Hudson Valley sour and an Omnipollo Imperial Stout, both very special.

What an amazing selection of beers from many different countries. Considering its position in London, I thought their prices were quite good. There is a large seating area both indoors and outside.

Wonderful choice of beers. Only issue is they often serve the beers in plastic cups. If they served their fantastic beers in glasses this place would be a five star venue.

The best bar in Hackney Wick! Outstanding range of draft beers available, while the extensive selection of UK and international bottles and cans in the fridges can't be beaten! But please get some Altbier 😁 Burgers from stall outside are lovely too. Highly recommended

Cant recommend this place high enough. The beer is fantastic and a huge variety to choose from. Food is excellent but it's important to book as this place is extremely popular.

Just spent £6.90 on a THIRD of beer, and it came in a plastic glass! They should really warn customers that it is only plastic glasses on match days.

Great beer selection, especially when you include the fridges! It was a west ham game day when I was here and still no problem getting served.

If you are a beer tourist and in London the Beer Merchant is on the list for must visits. Great selection of Uk craft beers on draft and in cans and bottles. Also features the best of beers from around the world. Cannot make it to Belgium? You will not find a better collection of the best beers from Brussels and beyond. The walls are lined with coolers of beers you can drink in or take away. The staff are both friendly and know their stuff! Plenty of space inside and out and with a three minute walk you can visit several other good breweries. Put this one on your list!

Craft beers on point here. Tight food truck out the back with smash burgers to die for. Great spot before a spot of West Ham. Craft beers are varied (German, Belgian etc) with a nice hipster vibe to boot.

Really nice place for a draft beer. For the one who doesn't like local craft beer there's a lot of bottles to choose from, even Belgian Trappist beers. Will definitely come back!

Huge tap list, fantastic beer garden and fab pizzas available down the road which they're happy for you to eat there. Really lovely way to spend an afternoon/ evening!!

Popped in Thursday afternoon with my wife and toddler, had a great time! Toddler enjoyed playing with sticks on the foosball table (to short to see inside) plenty of choices, came in as they 3 of the Untappd year end badges I needed, highly recommend

Where to start with the Beer Merchants Tap, or as it is more affectionately known , the BMT. This spacious and industrial styled establishment gives a cheerful nod to Europe with its Beer Keller tables and assortment of Belgium beers. This is a popular place amongst newly appointed Directors, who come here to celebrate their good works with the smoothest of stouts. Convivial conversation and an orchestra of taste can be expected in this special space. I would definitely come again.

Huge selection of beers, international and domestic, craft and otherwise. German lagers are a strong point as well as Belgian beers and all the craft. Nice outdoors with a semi permanent food truck/stall now serving burgers.

End-Sep2023 update: We had planned to go to St Albans Beer Festival but train overtime bans and recent COVID strikes left us making our own Festival closer to home. It's a shame you can't leave a gratuity when clearing down your tab - the hospitality gets better and better. Visit during the upcoming Oktoberfest shenanigans for a guaranteed good time. 🍻👌🏽

Nice atmosphere, laid back with many different beers on tap and many others bottled. There is a nice burger stand in the beer garden. Screens available for sporting events. Great pub, I just prefer my spirits nowadays

Incredible selection of beers of all varieties. From the vast array of fresh keg beers on tap (must have been 20+) to the numerous beer fridges, selling everything the discerning beer drinker would want from lambics to impy strouts.

Amazing staff and just general lovely vibe here. Great choice of beer, the strawberry beer was one of the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back!

Great taproom with a wonderful selection of beers. I tried all of the Trillium, Widowmaker, and Burlington beers available on tap, and all were outstanding. As soon as I walked in, I thought, WoW!!! This is my kind of place and somewhere I've wanted to visit for a while. It didn't disappoint. Buzzing atmosphere of peeps enjoying their beautiful beers. Great layout, and I highly recommend a visit. Believe me, if you love craft beers pop along, you'll be back for more... I know I will 😉 🍺

What a great venue to visit if you love real ale, the choice is great and the staff are all really friendly and helpful offering tasters to try. It’s located in the brewery itself adjacent to an industrial and housing area. It has large indoor and outdoor seating areas with mainly bench like seating. Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign.

A very impressive tap list and some great options in the fridges. Some of the highest prices I’ve seen for craft beer though and yes I understand the costs but it’s still the highest I’ve seen throughout my journey. I recommend to come here.

Started here for the night and had nice outside area to catch up for the pre night chit chat. Closed at 11:00 so moved on afterwards. Has some food from the little hut outside which was basic but enjoyable and needed.

We went here for a meetup with people from Facebook because of The London Series, which was fairly close. Microbrewery, lots of room Tons of BEER 🍻 I didn't have one, but I noticed that they were selling 10 pound burgers, that seems to be the cheapest around. Great time

Found this little gem while walking to the Copperbox arena. Spoilt for choice of craft beers on tap and fridges full of bottled beers and cider. Had a cheese board and it was divine. If you are in the area its a must. Well done!!!

Great place for craft beer aficionados. Impecable selection of bottles, cans and taps, plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors, but the thing I loved the most is the atmosphere and the crowd - very youthful, relaxed and hip.

Lovely place for a beer. Lots of choice, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cracking burgers and meat boards on offer too! Highly recommend!!

Cool bar with a lot of beer and cider options. We came after a long cycle for a cup of tea which was nice. The staff looked unhappy and they didn’t have milk but we only found out when the tea was served, so we asked them to make us herbal tea if there is no milk. Could have avoided the hassle if they advised they didn’t have milk before hand.

If you're into craft beers this is the place to come. A great range of drinks on tap plus hundreds of bottles from all around the world. If your local pub only serves the same lagers, ciders and Guiness you may be overwhelmed! It's not for everyone but there are drinks here you won't find anywhere else. Definitely top end price wise though.

If you're looking to try some of the world's best beer then this is the place. The list of beers on tap is always exciting with a broad range of strengths and styles catered for. They present the beer in nice glasses and the staff are knowledgeable. The bar has a great events program with lots of regular beer tastings. If you're a beer lover than you can't miss the opportunity to visit just be careful though as you might not want to leave.

Really nice place inside with great beers. The staff are not very happy/friendly though. The food vendor they’ve teamed with (Cluck n’ fowl) is not good. The vegan burger is more expensive than the meat options and it just came with a chick’n piece and a slice of lettuce - it was pretty bleak. They should find another food business to partner with.
