Cornish Bakery in Cheltenham

Lovely welcome as we walked in. Great GF choc brownie, nice surprise and strong smooth flavoursome oat decaf(often weak), flat white. I was impressed.

Had a lovely time sitting with my kids watching the bustle of town on the outdoor seating, the cafe was busy indoors and out - clearly a popular place. The staff were polite and efficient. Enjoyed the pastries and my coffee. Thanks!

We had a lovely coffee and pastry here last month. Their pastries are baked fresh every day and the staff were really helpful when we asked about the various pastries.

I love the scones!! They are always very yummy, just right. They have a great selection of hot and cold drinks too, I love the apple juice. Speedy and friendly service. Keep it up guys you’re doing great!

The cornish pasties are consistently good but the coffee is consistently poor..(overheated,burnt tasting)...comfy scandi-style window chairs with good wi-fi

Sunday morning we popped in for a coffee and scone. The scone was delightful with cream and jam. Good food, good service and good company

What a fantastic find. Friendliest of staff and amazing good value baked food. Sweet and savoury, can’t go wrong x The taste of the pastries is full of flavour and very filling so make sure you leave room to for the amazing desserts. Salted caramel croissant rolls are a particular favourite!!

I had the best croissant ever, filled with pistachio cream and roast pistachios on the top, totally AMAZING. Coffee very good, but sadly slow to make.

Popped in as passing, as end of day half price deals being announced before closing. But when it came to paying the advertising was evidently misleading! The deal was 2 items for £1.50. I bought 4 items got charged full price for 2. When I queried it, I was informed that as one was a brownie it wasn't included. Rather than offering a swap out the women just took payment. I didn't have time to question it further as there was a queue. Please be transparent with the pricing and what's included in the end of day offers. Have had coffee here previously, but very mediocre and they don't take cash !! Won't visit again.

We had a lovely visit to the Cornish bakery in Cheltenham. Staff were great, the flat whites were lovely, my 7 year old LOVED his Italian hot chocolate and the products we had were delicious. Can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed two coffees and two tasty pastries. The staff were friendly and service was quick, we will definitely visit again.

This place caught my eye as I was walking past and as I got closer the smell just drew me in. There was a bit of a queue but honestly moved pretty fast and when I got my order it was worth waiting for. Coffee was delicious and the chicken toastie was one of the best I'd had. The store is so nice and bright, I can see this becoming my regular coffee shop!

I’ve become a regular here since this lovely addition to the town opened. Always enjoy a hot delicious coffee with a pastry too! A great way to start the day. Team are always friendly and welcoming too!

I was really looking forward to visiting this newly opened cafe. Bitterly disappointed. Prices were high end, but I was happy to pay, but obviously my expectations were high too!! Only 2 customers in front of me, 4 staff serving, but it still took nearly 10 minutes to make a tea and a latte. We also had food, croissant and a cheese and bacon turnover. Both were ok. Latte wasn’t that hot, but drinkable, my tea cup and spoon were dirty, and they struggled to find a clean cup. Sort your detergent/ salt for dishwasher and you’ll get clean cups. Tea pot was tiny- and there is no need to put a tea bag into a further metal strainer inside the tea pot- meant the bag had no room to infuse properly, so I removed it myself. Does this sound petty ? Well, maybe, but fix all these issues and you would have had a customer happy to return again. Positive mention, needs to be for the window display, stunning display of pastries to entice customers in.

They need to review processes from start to finish! The queuing system to order often leaves the main entrance door blocked and anyone sitting at the tables by the queue surrounded by those queuing! Once you’ve ordered, and if you need hot drinks, you’re then in another queue and seem to have to wait longer than you should have to. Hot drinks are prepared whilst any hot food you have is left to go cold. Salt, pepper and sauces not offered and not on the tables.

Worst coffee I have tasted bitter, burned and sour. Maybe someone can show them how to make decent coffee (not that difficult ask your supplier) Pricing is a joke, quality and service bad. Reeks of arrogance that they think they can get away with this. Nothing Cornish about it

Tried the new shop - the pasty & ambiance was ok but when I requested some brown sauce they said it was 40p extra for a small sachet !. I’m not short of money but felt that this “extra” charge is taking the Mickey !, also there were lots of empty tables but full of used plates & cups so people couldn’t sit down comfortably. So above points are reason for my 3 star rating. It was a mediocre experience and I won’t be returning soon !

Friendly, polite service but the food was poor to say the least! I ordered a steak and stilton pasty which was almost completely cold even right in the middle. There was no trace of any steak (or stilton) in the first few bites and then I came across a large clump of tasteless, soggy, unpleasant meat. Once I had eaten that I was left with a sloppy bit of chopped potato which tasted of nothing but white pepper half filling the rest of the pastry. Very disappointing on a cold winter day when a hot pasty seemed like the perfect lunch.

Food was quite good, it’s very busy and midday so I wasn’t surprised to see some selections were sold out at the time. Unfortunately there was a line out the door and the speed the servers moved at was a snail’s pace. No urgency what so ever. Not sure if the slow speed at the tills was lack of training or they are still familiarising themselves with the systems, which is understandable but the walk speed was too slow for me. Unlikely I’ll come again when it’s busy.
