Corner Cafe in West Dorset

I called in for a coffee and to stretch my legs but it started to rain and I think the only tables were outside so I went elsewhere as I didn’t want to sit in the car .

Loo stop. Very clean toilets and good parking.

A good.place to get a great breakfast bap and a leg stretch on the journey west. The food was good greasy spoon fayre, that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Good functional rest stop, clean facilities and food available. Reason number of parking places and some grass for walking the dog.

Brilliant food just what i needed

A great place to stop for a good cup of coffee and an egg and bacon sandwich - tastes amazing. Staff are very friendly and happy. The place is small but clean and tidy. Seating inside and out - bit cold outside this time of year. Well priced for a small cafe. Toilets available at the pull in site. Plenty of free parking, check duration you can stay on the signs. Disabled parking available. Have used this place many times and will visit again soon hopefully 😁

It's a convenient stop with (if you're lucky) free sausage for dogs.

Gents toilets absolute disgrace door missing of cubicle & toilets in a unhygienic state. I'm sure these toilets were closed a couple of months ago for maintenance. Most disappointing 🥺

Been coming here for years. Kind of turned into a tradition. Started when travelling to Devon with my dad. Sadly no longer with us we still stop here every trip. Although owners have changed still just as good. Can't beat a good old truck stop 😀

Excellent stop on the way to or from Devon. Excellent food cooked to order so a short wait. Lots of off road parking. I believe you can stay overnight with a motorhome. Take care leaving busy road. Very busy in the summer

A very pleasant place to take a break we had a sandwich and a hot drink each which were both lovely, the staff are pleasant and welcoming. It was a quite nice day so we sat at the outside tables. Highly recommended 👌

A very basic tea and coffee place. The coffee is revolting but the tea reasonable. I 'took it sway', used the toilets and sat in the car. The toilets are old fashioned stainless steel with wall hand washers and driers. The parking places are more pleasant going round the temporary cabins where drinks etc are served, in a large 'U'.T he whole place is past it's sell by date but is a useful stopping place from East or West.

Only stopped for a wee - all fine in that department, except just as a heads-up for anyone planning to sit down: I have literally never sat on a colder loo. OMG! 😂

Good food and a quick service.

One star is not indicative of this lovely road side cafe but having travelled up from Plymouth to specifically enjoy a meal, we were very disappointed to find the place closed. Only had the website to check the opening times before arriving Monday 9th Oct.

Can't comment on the cafe as it was closed, but the rest area is good, ideal if you have dogs to let them out for a wee, trees grass areas etc. Toilets were clean ish.

Good not great toilets disgusting grass to stretch legs for dogs very overgrown. Maybe end of summer season but still people like to stop.

Always stop here on way to Devon/ Cornwall. Husband likes all day brekkie. I usually have sausage sandwich. Good value.

Stopped on way to Torquay. Coffee tasted like coffee, service was quick and not over priced. Toilets were clean.

A real find whilst travelling in the south west. Kept very clean and tidy. Toilets are clean and the cafe is excellent and reasonably priced. Lots of space to walk the dogs with plenty of bins. The trees are mature and provide good shade when it's hot. They also keep the place very quiet from passing traffic. A great place to stop over and relax. Highly recommended.

Sorry but what services close at 5pm. I know they don't want to work all hours, but that's why you employ staff. I had a devastated young boy, as all he wanted was a sausage roll or hotdog. However, the toilets were clean and there is a good walk around for dog's.

Plenty of parking and areas to walk dogs, food drink and toilets, just what is needed.

Fresh cooked food, very tasty. Reasonable prices. Parking a little difficult with a caravan, especially when ignorant people in cars won't move up a bit.....

We love coming to have a cuppa whilst travelling down to Devon. Staff very polite, quick service. If we'd had more time we would of had a bite to eat

It's getting dearer. Used to get a full English with. Mushrooms Toast black pudding now you got to buy the 3 separate with a cup of tea it cost you £11 40. Quite expensive for roadside. Cafe

Fast service, served on recyclable plates and bamboo cutlery. Food very acceptable from a small cabin. The lady was constantly being asked about the closed toilet. While we were there, the maintenance man came and fixed the problem and opened the toilets.

Good rest stop for when slogging along the South coast between Bournemouth and Exeter. Plentiful toilets and snack bar providing refreshments hot and cold which is always welcome on a long journey.

Great quiet spot to take a break, plenty of room even in an 18T lorry, happy and polite staff and the food wasn't too bad either, cold monster, sun and a table outside to enjoy the weather, decent place to relax for a short time

It's a place spoiled by what appears to be swampys living rough in the woods and dumping their rubbish all over the place. No toilet paper due to theft .. unbelievable

This is a very handy place as you can park overnight with caravan, campervans and wake up in the morning to a good breakfast with a coffee, tea etc, plus toilets.

Don't bother stopping here. Called at 8.30am not allowed to sit inside no brown bread or even bacon. Would give a zero rating if I could

This place has gone down hill fast. Have stopped here for years but after today no more. Awful service and moderate good. The young lady who served us was everything you would not want to advertise your business. Miserable and rude. Stop somewhere else and save yourself some money.

Great little café for a 'pit stop'. Closed the last afternoon we passed.

Drive on ... Wouldn't bother. Food quality poor Had a cheese burger and chips....I think!? Well, that what I ordered! the bread roll was the size of a dinner plate (and as dry as saw dust) And the burger was the size of a jam jar lid and of the lowest quality meat. Chips were the sort of frozen chips that seem hollow once cooked. The can of coke was ok tho ☺️

The best road stop when travelling west to Devon and Cornwall. My favourite transport cafe. Find it hard to drive passed.

Think it's new owners, menu changed, prices and food not as good as it used to be, shame need to find another pit stop

For a bit of a rough looking cafe but was pretty good ,daughter had ham egg and chips wife egg sandwich and me a bacon and egg sandwich, local bacon and eggs good coffee and welcoming staff well worth the stop for hungry travellers

I usually goes here on the way down to Kernow and the other one on the way back so my dogs can have a wee and my kids can but it's You know it's not the same as it was As it was, as it was

Breakfast comes with no tea and toast, £2.00 for a cup of tea and toast extra,spent a tenner on breakfast for one No wonder it was quiet

My only "gripe" about this place is the toilets! Stainless steel seats are NOT comfortable! I should think in icy weather they'll take the skin off your bottom!

We ordered toasted tea cakes which took longer than others who had sausage sandwiches ordered after us,but would recommend for a coffee and tea stop

Stopped here for a breakfast and coffee on our way home from a weekend in West Bay. Lovely little place. Toilets were clean and loo roll available. Nice to have an inside seating area. Standard prices, didn't think it was too expensive or anything. Didn't wait long for two fry ups. Left with empty plates and full tummies. Friendly staff. Thank you.

A great stop of point when heading West. Cafe has a good selection and the tea is great. I've marked down because the toilets do not always have toilet paper so it is best to carry some with you. Ample parking though and a great setting.

All you need for a Pit stop. Plenty of parking. Had breakfast and drink for two of us. Toilet facilities older style but clean and convenient. Food delicious and value for money.

Too many full time van lifers parking up, the more affluent parking there concordes for more than a week. Piss takers. Back here months later, the Concorde owner and black and yellow Luton are still parked here. These idiots are the reason councils clamp down on motorhome owners and campervanners. Please vacate the area if you see this you numpties.

Great place to stop and rest nice clean wc and lots of place to park and sit just a shame the disable rad key toilet has a big padlock on

Good food for my partner and his family. Only downside is no gluten free options. I was not able to have a proper meal. Need more awareness on people with dietary needs.

Well overpriced for what you get. 2 slices bacon on white bread 4 pounds. Limp and tasteless. Used to be really nice. So disappointed when I went this time.

Would not visit again, terrible food and coffee. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering, I'm disgusted at how the owner deals with criticism. A keyboard warrior like you will not be getting a penny from me again.
