Corbridge Tandoori in Northumberland

Love driving over here from a curry. It's not our closest curry place, but it's worth a bit of a drive. Staff are so friendly and sweet. Coconut dishes are brill.

Still the best in the area for its authentic cuisine, service at both takeaway or restaurant and great hospitality too. Thanks again for serving our community and for the experience.

Everything about this restaurant is lovely - the food of course is great and well presented - but the ambience is lovely and very traditional. You are made to feel very welcome by the staff and well loked after throughout. It's great!

A very warm welcome to start the evening off. Staff from start to finish went above and beyond to make our evening special, so friendly and warm. A nice touch for my Fiancées birthday, we were given a drink on the house. Food was sensational and hit the spot! Will without doubt be back. Couldn’t fault the place at all. 10/10!

I don’t want to give these guys a bad review because the food was actually really quite nice. However, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Ceylon and while the flavour was really good the chicken was dry and over cooked (IMHO). When asked if everything was okay I mentioned the above. The waiter immediately took my plate and said they would change it - I actually didn’t want that and would have happily eaten it (it was far from inedible) as I’m not like that but the wheels were in motion. They brought out a replacement curry and while the chicken was more moist, it was in a different sauce which wasn’t what I wanted. If you’re reading thinking “what a knob” then I’m totally with you as that’s not me but don’t fix an issue with another issue. As I said the did was generally very nice so don’t want to put people of from coming

It is a treat to enjoy the luxury of serving a delicious meal to the family without the effort of cooking, and I am still relying on Corbridge Tandoori to provide these takeaway meals. The whole family, including my elderly Mum, loves the sweet, delicately-spiced, creamy Kashmiri and Malaya sauces with tender chicken. We booked a table at CORBRIDGE Tandoori for 20:00 and arrived to be shown promptly to our table, provided with menus following a warm welcome by the owner (Jewel) the food was outstanding (Murgh Chom Chom) and I know my wife and our friends thoroughly enjoyed there food too.

Booked a takeaway using the online service. So easy to use, the menu is offered in drop down format which is perfect for viewing on a mobile device. The choice from starters through mains and sides is excellent. Selected the time to collect and paid using my card. Arrived at the arranged time to collect and the meal was ready. The food was excellent, really delicious. Great taste from the prawn buhna puri the chicken tikka rogan Josh was well spiced in a lovely sauce complimented by the onion pillau. The pickles were just great with the garlic nan. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We just wanted a change from all the Christmas indulgences so decided on an Indian Takeaway, Chicken Tikka Masala, Sulaymania Salon with Chicken Tikka, Garlic Naans & Onion Pilau Rice.... I have no words, it was amazing!..... Highly recommended!....

32yrs ago my wife (who was born in Corbridge and her parents have lived in Corbridge for over 60years) and I got married at St Andrew’s Corbridge; ie across the other side of the square from the Corbridge Tandoori. A group of our wedding party enjoyed a curry at the Corbridge Tandoori 32yrs ago and this we felt it apt, with our daughter getting married 29th Dec that we have a pre wedding curry this week. We highly recommend the food and people there and hope that it prospers for another 32+ years!
