This is a lovely spot only a few minutes off the high street in Skipton but you don't want to miss it. Excellent friendly service. Really good food and coffee. It was busy but we found a table and they told us how long food would be. Delicious brunch and well worth waiting for. Small rooms upstairs so if there are a few of you, you might even get a room to yourselves.

At the beginning I wasn't very convinced to go there but when I search "best brunch in Skipton" this was the place recommended and we don't regret at all! Ladies, what you are doing you do right! The food is delicious! The poach eggs were cooked perfectly. The place have loads of character with a come and going of regular costumers because everyone knew each other and called by their names! Love it!

What a fabulous gem of a cafe! Just a short walk out of the town centre - and so worth it! Luckily we were staying next door in Coopers Cottage so it was a no brainer visit for us. Food was exceptional and the cafe was comfortably busy and vibrant. Plenty of choice for breakfast and very tasty! Great value too. We would have visited more than once but had plans for the next day and they close on Mondays - so we missed out, but will bear that in mind next time we stay in Skipton - and the cottage next door!

What's not to love. My wife and I called in for breakfast. Lovely people, very friendly and welcoming. Hot coffee came with a small jug of hot milk. Then the full English. Everything cooked to perfection, nicely presented, and hot. My wife went for the poached eggs with avocado option and loved it too. Best breakfast anywhere!! Will definitely go back.

We live in the Dales about 19 miles from Skipton to frequently visit the town. We always try to fit in a visit to Coopers as the food is really great. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Breakfast is excellent and the salads at lunch time are huge and very well presented.

We arrived at Coopers absolutely soaked after a bike ride, not in particularly good spirits. The day was saved by the most delicious sandwiches we’ve had in a long time and the best flat white coffee since the Covid-19 lockdown was lifted. The cheerful banter with the staff meant we left smiling and we will definitely return in better weather.

Quaint and funky little place with a great menu!I had a panini and my boyfriend had a BLT and soup combo which we both really enjoyed. Unfortunately I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get that far, but I won’t hurry back. We had the most unfriendly of greetings, which is surprising given the current climate.. the cafe wasn’t busy and there were a lot of staff members who failed to make us feel welcome. On entry I clarified that we could sit inside with our dog and we were then sent back outside to choose our food before I was allowed in to order at the counter, after which the rest of my family with two small hungry children would then be permitted to sit down at a table! I am happy to go along with whatever new protocols eateries put in place to cope with covid however be consistent! A large family arriving after us all took themselves to a table whilst one of the party ordered at the counter. When I did come in to order (with my family still waiting on the busy road side outside) there was no soup left, (fair enough but make that clear when people are likely to choose the soup) so I changed to a poached egg to be told that isn’t possible after 12..do they not boil water after 12, do the eggs disappear at midday?! I don’t know but after the unfriendly “welcome”, the inconsistency of covid rules and then the palaver of ordering I gave up and went elsewhere. Perhaps the quality of the food makes up for it all but I’m not in a rush to find out.

Been a couple of times for lunch the menu is varied , sandwiches salads etc cooked to order. The place is small has an upstairs with steep steps not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The staff are friendly , service is efficient however due to it being a small place and always busy not much room in the kitchen area so had to wait a while for our order. It hasn't put us off going again but be prepared to wait and if you are on a strict timetable maybe let them know in the event they can speed up your order.

Nice small cafe breakfast one cold morning. Nice breakfast good quality but the reason for the average review is the cleanliness. The tables were filthy especially around the table numbers and the cushions were also filthy. Dogs or no dogs a quick cushion cover replacement would not go a miss. Also the plates were chipped to hell. Would not visit again.

This is probably the 3rd time we have left and commented that the staff were grumpy. A smile would go along way from the staff. Only the lady who is pregnant bothered to smile or converse. Today, there was a mistake with our order - when they came to the table with the food they realised they had got it wrong. The lady snatched the plate back to correct the order downstairs , this was not our fault but we were made to feel like it was an effort to even bother! Not sure we will visit again after today

The cafe is done out really nicely, the staff are really friendly and my wife had a really nice Steak sandwich for lunch today. Unfortunately I opted for the lamb patties in flatbread and though it was really tasty it was a miserly portion of food for £8.95. I did complain and they did cook me another little pattie (they are about 2 inches in diameter) but , despite not being one who tends to eat large portions, I still left feeling hungry and won't be returning.4/5 for my wife's lunch and 2/5 for mine = 3/5 rating.

A trip to Yarndale wouldn’t be complete without a visit here. I’d never been before, but my friend had, although she hadn’t realised it was Coopers of Yarndale fame at the time! We arrived early Saturday morning, before they opened, and were greeted with a warm smile and an invite to come in out of the rain, even though they weren’t officially open yet. The whole place has been thoughtfully decorated and arranged to maximise space, but keeping a cosy welcoming feel. The sun came out, the place filled up, but service was swift and friendly. I was impressed with the menu covering a range of tastes. I opted for the full English, and my friend the posh bacon sandwich, plus two hot chocolates. We both found our choices delicious and filling, by far one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve ever had, the black pudding in particular was lovely, and good value for money. A look around Lucy’s studio polished things off nicely, and the little touches providing free baby wipes, and sanitary products in the beautifully decorated bathroom, show how committed they are to being a friendly, home from home place to visit. We loved it so much we came back again for breakfast on Sunday, where a mix up in our order was swiftly dealt with, and the food and service as delicious and friendly as the previous day. If we come back to Yarndale this will become part of the whole experience for sure! Very much recommend

Breakfast ranges from porridge or granola right through to a full English cooked fresh every time (no microwaved bacon here). Afternoons can be cheered up with an excellent cup of tea and a slice of home made cake (really homemade - I've seen them baking) not bought in. This is the second time I have visited Coopers - it does seem to have a very good reputation, although I wasn’t overly impressed on my first visit so I thought I’d give it another go. We visited on a Saturday afternoon for coffee - the coffees were fine (a bit on the large side - would be nice to have the option of a smaller size). There looked to be a good selection of cakes and food. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be abrupt and not very friendly or welcoming and I found one lady to be quite rude. The place also felt a bit greasy and in need of a deep clean and due to the open kitchen, it smelled strongly of cooking. We sat downstairs which was a little cramped, but the upstairs area looked more spacious. I liked the toilet (and the little mints!), but I don’t think I’ll give this place another go.

A group of us from Ramsbottom in Lancashire decided to ride to Skipton, it was Marcus's birthday ride really. After a little research before Coopers was chosen as our lunch stop. Brilliant choice, from the moment you arrive you get that friendly family run vibe. We sat upstairs on a table for four and ordered our food at the counter downstairs. The menu is fantastic lots of delicious sandwiches or salads or other quirky specials. When I say sandwiches they aren't your everyday cheese and onion, it's a great choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, three of us choose the steak and mushroom sandwich which comes with a delicious salad and Sarah choose a salad itself. Fresh cooked steak with onions and mushrooms it was fantastic (see photo).I'm a big coffee drinker as most cyclist are, the coffee was great as was my mango smoothie. The staff are so friendly and a credit to the owner(I presume that was the lady downstairs behind the counter) they even went the extra mile and found a candle so we could surprise Marcus with a little cake, than you for that it was a nice touch. To finish loved it here and shall be going again and shall recommend Coopers to anyone who will listen.

My friend and I had another fantastic lunch yesterday. We were little late arriving, hence they had understandably run out of the 2 main specials we ordered, however they offered to replace one of the dishes and I was equally happy with my choice. The chicken with smashed avocado and feta was amazing my friend said and I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb patties served in a lovely hot flatbread with homemade raita dip. Both dishes were served with imaginative salad accompaniments and not the same either.. which was lovely. Quite often you always get the same uniform salad accompanying every meal. We also enjoyed great quality coffees too. The menus are written on a board - always difficult to choose which one and they also do paninis and sandwiches too. The decor is fab, quirky & fun. We love the decopage on the stairs and in the bathroom. Highly recommended and having tried lots of places in the town we think this is the best little cafe around.

My friend and I visited Yarndale at the Skipton Auction Mart this weekend and on Lucy of Attic 24's recommendation stopped off at Coopers Cafe for tea and cake. A wonderful warm welcome from the staff, beautiful tea and cake and the added bonus of being able to see Lucy's lovely studio, it made our weekend!

So glad we found Coopers Cafe Bar when we arrived in Skipton for Yarndale, we both enjoyed lovely fresh sandwiches and excellent coffee, a very friendly lively place.

We visit Cooper's every year when we come to Yarndale -twice, as we come Saturday and Sunday. The food was OK when it came however we waited half an hour for two sandwiches! Service has definitely declined. Food is expensive for a snack. Time to find a new eatery.

We were looking for a place for breakfast and this was recommended...it did not disappoint. Cosy with friendly service, tasty food and great coffee. A nice change from some of the more traditional options around....my 7 year old loved his bacon sarny!!

My partner is in love with the cheese slate here! Coopers is very welcoming to everyone , with card games and colouring in for the kids. Dogs are very welcome too. There is a cafe dog with his own bed and water dish. Treats for dogs available at counter. The food at Coopers has always been yummy on our visits, the staff welcoming and the vibe is cosy. :)

I have visited the cafe a number of times now and I can't recommend highly enough. The sandwiches, soup, cakes and coffee are all excellent.Cakes are homemade and traditional recipes, just what you want whereas the sandwich combinations push the boundaries which are completely delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful.A must while in Skipton!

I chose this place based on all the complimentary reviews, but I was disappointed. The first thing to state is that the café is dog friendly, not normally a problem for me, but I don’t expect to see dogs sitting on the public seating; that can’t be hygienic and is off-putting. The service was reasonable, it would have been better if the young girl behind the counter and who brought me my food had smiled at some point. I ordered the full English breakfast which arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but it was overcooked, the fried egg was hard and the back-bacon tough and brittle. To round it off the toast was hardly brown and limp, not crusty. The only good thing to state was there was ample butter for the limp toast and the coffee was good.Derek

Loving it here, come with my wife and family regularly. Just outside Skipton, over the canal bridge. Food made on site. Definitely worth a visit.

Another visit for lunch mid-week and still surprised with how delicious the food is. Even a ham salad sandwich is elevated into an eating experience by these women, and the coffee is excellent. Top Tip - The scones are the best you will ever have, but so are a lot of the cakes so it's going to be hard to choose...A really good deli type café worth searching out if you are in Skipton (it's on the main road opposite B+M).

We had a lovely breakfast here. I was only interested in the full English breakfast, so can't even tell you what else was on the menu!! The cafe is very cute with seating areas both downstairs and upstairs. We walked from our hotel so didn't have to try to find parking.

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

After driving around the Yorkshire Dale's, we were in need of a drink and snack. We came across this lovely little tearoom and we weren't disappointed, quirky and quaint I would say, very friendly, great value for money too.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.
