Absolutely useless. 6 hour drive down from London “il have whatever is ready”, “sorry sir we have 4 orders, so it will be over half hour and we have nothing but chips” massive oaf just standing there saying its not there fault. Bunch of absolute idiots.

Chips dry & tasteless!! Definitely not worth £5 for the chips. I’ll honestly had better chips at my local supermarket for half that price! Wouldn’t recommend unless you want stale low quality chips!!

Went here for fish and chips 30 minutes wait , £8.79 for a fish which I have seen a fish finger with more fish , we were told haven holidays have told them to serve this to there customers really they should be ashamed…. We got our money back and will never return.

Waited over half hour for the food to cook. I was told that food is cooked to order thats why nothing is in the hot counter. Ordered food for family of four. Once arrived back to accommodation, half order was missing and what I did have was an incorrect, over cooked, tasteless bag of inedible food. Took back for a refund of which I was given. However no apology, lack of interest from staff. Appeared to me that it was not unusual for them to have to give refunds. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have!!!

I've only been once many years ago not only is it open for a few hours, the queue is half a mile long, it takes hours, it seems, to cook chips and even then not tasty and paid close to £30 it's an absolute rip off

We were all looking forward to our fish n chips but alas they were disgusting although the fish inside the batter was nice. The chips were some of the worst we have ever had. Haven should be ashamed of having this chip shop on their site. Will never buy from here again.

Absolutely honking. I don’t understand how you can take half hour to dish out such grot. It was meant to take 10/15 minutes and ended up being over 30. Also extremely over priced.

Well overpriced for the quality of food. Chips wasn't great, sausages look really cheap quality and waiting times are ridiculous, even the seaguls looked bored waiting for a victim to leave the chippy.

Should've read the reviews first. Yep frozen chips, mushy pea soup. The attached pic is 4 frozen chicken strips at a cost of £5.49. Shame on Haven for allowing this place to operate on site

Pre ordered online after travelling all day. Slot was for 6.30pm. Arrived, to be told another 40 minute wait. Full of fuming customers experiencing the same. Two young staff seemed very overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. Tickets flying out and no staff or food. Finally food was ready! I have never see such disgusting food. The chips were burnt and brown, the fish was so greasy and over cooked it was chewy and was unable to we eaten, along with thr chicken nuggets that were rock solid. The battered sausages were also over cooked but only of the only items that once covered in curry sauce and due to being so hungry was able to be eaten. We spent £85 for our family and apart from 3 battered sausages and curry sauce it all went in the bin. Went back to complain, the shop was full of very angry customers and the poor young staff in there should not have had to deal with that without a manager present. Went to reception next day. Given an email to send pictures which I did... the manager still hasn't even sent an apology!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

The worst fish & chips I've ever had. Pretty sure they use cheap frozen chips, completely tasteless. The fish was inedible. They also forgot my sons fruit shoot and the requested salt and vinegar.

I waited 25 mins for a portion of chips and they were the worst chips I've had in my life never will I eat from there again, service awful over cooked bitty horrible

Wow, If you are looking for somewhere to suck the very existence from your soul then this is the place.... Staff serving are completely disinterested, and as for the service...walked in to order 2 portions of chips (standard fayre one would assume for a chip shop) and I'm still waiting over 20 mins later. Maybe I should have ordered the night before Zzzzz😴 My advice would be to drive to St Ives to get your chips it's probably quicker in the long run... P.s. 23 mins and counting... ***Update*** Upon receipt of the chips they were quite possibly the worst chips I have ever seen (and had the misfortune of eating). My suggestion would be not to cook them for so long and the a) the chips might be quicker and b) the chips might actually be edible. In all seriousness if you are a family on a budget do not waste your hard earned money in this establishment. It is clear from previous reviews that this is an ongoing issue and has not been resolved by the owners.

Stale chips were inedible, very small fish in orange coloured batter. Expensive for sub standard food.

Good fish and nice batter. Chips were pretty good too and the mushy peas were decent. It's not as good as Sanders or Lewys in Hayle but if you're captive on a holiday camp it could be worse!

I gave 1 star but would have given zero if I could, after spending an evening at the entertainment with the grandkids, I went in for some chips, two large bags of chips that cost £10. I have to say avoid avoid avoid, these chips had to be the worst chips I have ever had, they were cold, very dry and bland. Reheated oven chips. Over priced and should serecely be shut down.

Overpriced and for a chip shop the chips are dry and tasteless Wouldn’t recommend. Service is good and friendly only positive. Sort it out haven good really do with a nice fish and chip shop as I visit often.

For the price I'd want to know what boat the fish came off. Sadly not quality fish/chips but was ok not the worst we have had and filled a hole after a 5 hour drive. We didn't have to wait long and staff seemed nice enough.

Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Frozen fish and chips from icelands would be better. Very over priced for what it was. I guess you can charge what you like when there's no nearby competition. Also got beans instead of peas 🙄 pointless going back to swap them, given it would have made zero difference to an already awful meal...

We ordered fish qnd chips waited a while that didn't bother me tho. What did was the taste of the fish it was dry and very tasteless. The chips were frozen chips we couldn't eat our meals very poor

Have to say I was sceptical because of all the bad reviews about oven chips etc. But tbh I disagree, the fish was nice, and the chips were decent, not the cheapest but you'd expect that. It was cooked fresh and waited about 10 minute's. All in all I'd go back, cheers

This is not a chip shop!! The chips are frozen not fresh, the plain sausage I ordered came as a battered one with the the batter peeled off, but left on at either end?! Mediocre food at best for the price.

Had fish and chips while staying at Haven and pleasantly surprised how nice it was! Nice bit of haddock in lovely batter and good portion. Just £1 for tubs of peas/curry etc. is good. Most the food is cooked to order so can be a wait when it's busy - perhaps this compromises quality, as it was pretty quiet in September when we went. Friendly servers as well.

Pretty awful. Told it'd be a 20 minute wait. Waited 45 minutes. Walked 10 minutes to our chalet to find VERY small portions for what we paid. The scampi was small and it was advertised as 8 pieces (this wasn't the case). It's a shame, as they are the only fish and chip shop near the beach for holiday makers. We didn't want to get in the car to go into Hayle but we should have done. Should be better.

Ordered 3 fish, chips and a chicken pie. Food was lovely, hot, fresh & tasty. Lots of big chicken chunks in the pie. Definitely better to have it cooked to order than other places where it’s been sat getting soggy.

Absolute shambles, waited nearly 45 minutes for a small order and I was first in queue. Told hi I wanted a refund so I could order somewhere else but said he couldn’t. Never again

Waited 30 mins for 5 cod bites and chips, food that was sat under the heater for the whole time. Staff were very unfriendly and sat around doing nothing or on their phones most of the time.

Honestly don't waste your money here, the bonus of being able to order to your caravan or even table in the show bar are hugely outweighed by terrible undercooked and old chips, tiny excuse for cod, enough butter for an entire loaf of bread on one small roll and an hour wait for the pathetic disgusting food to arrive.

Dreadful chip shop. Guys in there seemed chipper enough (excuse the pun) but the food was awful. Basically oven chips rather than the usual chips you would expect. Oh and we also waited for over 30 mins for this terrrible food. Never again. Shambles.

Had fish n chips here. Ordered kids portion as small appetite. The food tasted good. If you want decent sized meal then you would need to order full size portion but it’s expensive. Service time is long and you have to wait a while. Staff not very friendly here.

How does this place have anything greater than 1? There is no food available at all as everything is made to order we were told and so you have to wait for whatever you order. It didnt help that staff were on their phone whilst we were waiting to order and even after then, they were in no hurry with any of their work. We had to wait 15 mins (no other customers, just us ) for fish bites and what we later discovered at the caravan....oven chips. Of course we were expecting your normal chip shop chips not frozen oven chips. We chose fish bites as the "fish" wasnt even the size of a mini yet charged at over £8. The overall portion was supposed to be large, but was smaller than a regular portion and charged at over £13. The chips were awful, burnt, dry, they got thrown as they were inedible. The fish bites tasted off and genuinely I was violently sick later than night... this was the only food I had aswell and could taste the same fish. All in all I have no idea how this chip shop is allowed to run like this. If you read this review, please trust me and other Google reviews and do not buy from here. There are other chip shops around if this is what you want on your holiday. Avoid this place.

Shocking, £50 for 3 fish and chips with 2 curry sauce, fish is tiny, chips were frozen, peas and curry sauce done when I walked in and had to wait 45mins before it was done, don't eat here, awful

Just picked up food from here. Really enjoyed what we had. The cheesy chips were fab. Cheese & Leek pie was very tasty. Curry sauce lovely. Will definitely call again.

Too long to wait! (25mins) Only 2 orders in-front of us and still took this long. Overpriced for the portion sizes you receive. I will not be returning. I gave them a chance after 2 years and still no improvements. They took my name to call once ready; no one called so I had to go in after 25 mins. The food tasted OK and staff where friendly. That is why I gave them 1star!

The cod was about as big as a fish finger , the chips not made on site but frozen.

Decided to have fish and chips at the end of our holiday went to the bluff for a couple of drinks knowing full well the chip shop shut at 9pm (app says, google says 10pm). Got there at 8pm and were told they were closed. Wont be coming again very disappointing for all the family. If your going to close early then this needs to be advertised. We had a similar issue with the bluff on Thursday in shutting at 8 o'clock but no mention of this on the internet. I know the site only opened last week but we are still paying to use the site and the facilities so the app should be updated to match the times they are shutting i.e no mention of the chip shop closing at 8pm anywhere. On the app it says 9pm and on google it says 10pm.

Don't waste your time with this awful fish and chip shop. Only decent thing was that everything was cooked fresh but was still not very nice! The shop closes at 9pm! So awful if you actually want to enjoy your holiday and have long days out! Was frozen oven chips put in the fryer and had absolutely no stock! I wouldn't recommend.

A lovely lunch at a reasonable price.

Don't bother with the Haven serve app to click and collect, you still have to wait in line. Didn't get the mushy peas ordered, didn't get asked if I wanted salt and vinegar. Batter tasteless.

Was very disappointed. Thought having a fish and chip shop on the caravan site would save a trip out but how wrong! Chips were ‘ok’ but the fish was tasteless and a large cod was basically just over done dark brown batter!

Trying to understand why Haven would go to all the effort to have a chip shop and all the equipment in it, yet cook chip that are frozen!! Why not be like a traditional fish and chip shop? I am just glad we had nothing more than the chips, god knows what the fish would be like after experiencing the chips! What would it cost to have someone with some knowlegde on running a chip shop to cook fresh food! Not what I expected, some of the chips was burnt on one side? not sure how that happens in a frier? Such a waste. But they must be making money from it for it to still exisit. My suggestion is take the time to go down into Hayle for proper fish and chips!

Very surprised at the price, 28 quid for 2 fish and chips and a kids meal, chips were horrible, fish was overcooked and batter wasn't very nice and ended up not very well from it 👎

Chips were luke warm, fish was tasteless. Quite pricey. Staff need to smile when customers come in. Wouldn't recommend.😔

Brilliant you can order from app 👍 but wouldn't eat again from here. Chips were the worst I have had in a long time, and rest of the food want great either. If your hungry after a long journey then ideal but wouldn't bother other wise.

Waiting for ages by the time we got the food home the sausage was cooked nice the fishcake was nice the chips were a bit tasteless and the curry sauce was thin with little taste, I suppose its what you expect from a holiday camp chippy.

Check the prices before you pay. And make sure you get what you pay for. Food was nice, but it wasn't what was ordered. One of our group paid £14 for two cheesy chips, which is expensive, but when you get back and find out you have one cheesy and one normal it's a total rip off. But when it's late dark and cold you don't want to go back and change your food. The next day after discussing the prices I thought I'd check. So when we was getting ready to leave I thought I'd nip over and have a look. I've been coming to this site for over ten years. I will be using the chippy down the road in future.

Terrible food. The smell inside the place is enough to make you reconsider your options. Unfortunately I had recently arrived and was really hungry. The fish and sausages were over cooked unlike the chips which were undercooked. I was there for a good few minutes before being acknowledged by a member of staff. Customer skills training is much needed by the overwhelmed and under skilled staff. I can’t understand how they can get the food so wrong. I felt sorry for the people who had booked a collect order on the app yet were being told they would have to wait another 30mins for their food.

Reasonable fish and chips. But portions don’t relate to the higher prices ( £2.50 higher than our local and they have larger better cooked portions). You can see they are trading to a captive audience. Much better selection down in Hayle: I’d recommend Chandlers Plaice on CommercialRoad 5 minutes away (on the left just after the turning from Phillack as you head towards Hayle).

Chips were nice. But smaller than expected portion sizes. A large portion at our local chippy feeds a family of 4 with plenty to go around. Large here is only enough for one person.

Chips bland, fish overcooked, and a large for 6.95 was smaller than a regular I've had in the past. My partner threw up because of how greasy the cod was.

Suberb food every single time, visit several times during fortnight's holiday, now on 7th year. Fantastic! Thank you x

Don’t normally leave reviews but I felt this was needed, undercooked pale chips, cold mushy peas and the batter on the fish was soggy... avoid

Nice little chippy just inside the Haven park. Staff really friendly, visited a couple of times during our stay and both times the food was good. Chips were good, hot and not greasy. Would recommend if your looking for something quick to eat.
