Big thanks to Dani, the brilliant Deputy General Manager, chefs Sam and Tom and the whole team, including Makenzie, Jak, Maisy and many more. The vegan meats, sensational cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire's and roasties served with lots of veg and all the trimmings are outstanding. The food is beautifully cooked, and the kind and attentive service is second to none.

The scallops were raw, the lamb was fatty and cold, they charge you £4.75 for a small bottle of water very sneakily and the scabby looking sterio in the corner playing horrendous cheesy music makes the place feel so cheap. Outside is a lovely place to sit but it's first come first serve, we did reserve a table but was put inside. Really not worth the money for the food, very disappointing and after speaking about this to others they've all had the same experience. Don't be fooled by the pretty looking building from the outside, tragic inside and the food is even worse. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Covid times so it was outdoor eating only. The outside area was not set up at all for this service, fortunately it did not rain ! There was no protection from the elements the umbrellas over the tables were far to small, the patio area and gardens were tired and not maintained there is no way I would stay at this Hotel or use it as a function.

The food in this restaurant is amazing. I think it's now known as Maxine's Restaurant. Named after Duncan's dog. The staff are all lovely and are all well presented, offering a great list of food and wine to choose form. Something for everyone.

I was take to the Conservatory Restaurant for my birthday treat, The location and restaurant are lovely and the staff very good But the starter were okay but the main were awful the gammon steak or more to the point a great lump of gammon was over cooked and horrible , the salmon was nothing to write home about, the dessert were quite basic plus the £6.50 surcharge for the cheese board I thought was excessive . We were very disappointed and certainly will not be back

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious and well presented, we didn't have to wait for too long between courses and were advised when the desserts would take a little longer. The conservatory was a lovely place to eat with a view of the gardens and the sun shining. Would recommend this restaurant.

I stayed here for bed, breakfast and evening meal with our daughter. Breakfast has everything you need, cooked or other wise. We had a three course dinner which was beautifully presented and delicious. The service by waiters Deana and Steven was first class. Can highly recommend it for a special occasion.

We stayed at this hotel for a valentines weekend, the room they took us to had all bumps in the carpet and was totally unacceptable so we were offered an upgrade for an additional £20 per night. Our deal as Bannantynes members included a 5 course valentines meal, wish we hadn't bothered the food was terrible, service took ages, the food was cold and had obviously been prepared in advance as all the coulis was stuck to the plate, sadly we chose the duck with pancakes imagine our surprise when this arrived with pancake day pancakes! All in all not a good experience. Bannantynes response this restaurant is not fine dining, tell us something we dont know...please do not book this restaurant if you are expecting a nice dining experience...find somewhere else.

This was my first time to Maxine’s (Conservatory restaurant) at Bannatyne’s Hotel in Hastings. I stayed at the hotel for the night, and before hand, I read some bad reviews about the restaurant there! Well I want to set the record straight, and say what a lovely 3 course meal I had. The portion size on the Lamb was slightly small compared to my partners meal (Belly Pork), however the taste and presentation was impeccable! I would definitely come back. We was served by Kayleigh, and Kimberly who were very professional and attentive.

Unfortunately we were dining here with family who live in the area and thought they were taking us for a special treat with lunch at Bannatynes Conservatory...they were paying so we really couldn't be too critical at the time for fear of upsetting them. For health reasons I don't eat meat but I do eat fish, so I asked for my chicken Caesar salad without the chicken. I was kindly asked if I wanted anything else instead on the salad, so requested perhaps a few more anchovies (which I love). An hour and a quarter later our mains were served (there were only 6 of us, and the place wasn't busy) My salad was basically a lot of lettuce, 4 small anchovies,,,(if that was extra then heaven help the normal portion) an egg, very few croutons, and a very small portion of Caesar dressing. not even any Parmesan.

We have not been to this establishment for many years, since it changed hands I believe. Thought we should try this restaurant as a change from Brickwall, Azure etc. Booking was very easy. On arrival it was a bit lacking in smiles but was shown to a nice tabel. Ordered the best wine on the very good wine list but it took 20 mins to arrive which was not a good start. However from then on all was good. I think the delay was in part due to two large groups they were catering for. Very nice menu and the staff became much more attentive and friendly as the afternoon progressed. Increadable good value and all the dishes were well cooked, well presented and tasty. Portions very generous and overall a very pleasent dining experience. Immediately booked again for an evening meal so we are hoping for great things.

I was taken to this restaurant as a birthday treat. A family member had previously had a positive experience here. I asked for a salad with the Camenbert, as I am vegetarian. I assumed that I would receive a plate of mixed salad items with the cheese. Instead, I received a plate of chopped lettuce with the cheese dumped on the top. No other salad items; no onion, no tomatoes, NOTHING. Admitedly, I had asked for no meat items/fish/or wheat, but this does not exclude other items such as tomatoes, peppers, boiled potatoes, olives, tomatoes, goats cheese etc. all of which could have made the dish more interesting and appealing! I asked for some tomato and the plate came back with FOUR tomato slice on the plate i.e. one tomato. It was a joke at £11.95!!! Also, I had a side dish of chips and there was no effort made as to presentation; the chips were dumped in a bowl with no garnish, nothing. Overall, the chef gave the impression that he or she did not care about matching the quality of the food to the quality of the location or the serving staff (who were very generally helpful). The food that I received was more suited to a low quality, cheap pub grub type establishment than the quality environment that Bannatynes are trying to promote. Pity.

We visited this restaurant with friends for my wife's birthday, The location is great. The conservatory was light airy and comfortable and had a great view of the gardens. There are aircon units for when summer arrives, which is apparently going to be on a weekend this year! The staff were polite friendly and helpful at all times. The food was very good and well priced although it wasn't as hot as I would have liked.Overall a very nice meal out. Would like to stay at this hotel!

I visited the restaurant last evening with a group of work colleagues to celebrate a retirement,The restaurant lacked atmosphere the service was slow they forgot 1 starter so by the time it came we were nearly finished. 7 main meals came out leaving her out again with an apology that hers needing longer cooking time ! sorry but wouldn't you wait until every meal was ready before bringing the others out. We had to repeatedly ask for more water and wine for the table. To be honest we felt we were a hinderance as everyone seemed to be hurrying here and there and not really bothered about us.I remember the days of visiting Beauport Park when you felt special not anymore I'm afraid just a number.Oh and the food nothing to rave about and on reflection it did not live up to our expectations. Very disappointed with the whole experience

we didn't stay at the facility, but we went there for a special occasion dinner.we weren't impressed with the decor. guests who were using spa facilities had to travel across the parking lot in their dressing gowns, and they were drifting around the hotel as well,, so we got an eyeful as we were having drinks waiting for dinner.the food itself was very odd. my partner had pasta with a sauce that was so obscenely orange I thought it could be seen from Mars. we ordered champagne, which was fine, but were told they only had one bottle, so we were unable to carry on drinking after we finished it (and given what they charge for it and the proximity of the hotel to a 24-hour Tesco, one would have thought it would have been a profitable venture for them to send an employee up the road to buy more).they'll have to do better!

We had a xmas party here on sat 21st in the evening, was really looking forward to it... the food was disgusting! tiny amounts on child sized plates, food had been reheated and turkey was processed meat. potatoes were bearly cooked, the red wine gravy was totally overpowering. staff were pleasant but inexperenced. not worth £5 per head let alone £40 per head!! total joke, local carvery would of outshone this place. we complained but no refund. we were promised the evening would get better.... it didnt. The ENTIRE party all had upset stomachs within hours of attending. Ruined our xmas! WILL NOT BE EATING HERE AGAIN... ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS!!!

This must be our third visit to this restaurant for lunch in the last year, as it is very goodvalue for money and a very good standard of food and service. The one thing I would say that let's the experience down is the lack of attention on arrival. When we arrived there was no-one on reception, in fact no-one seemed to be about at all until we spotted a barmaid serving a group on the patio. We sat down in the lounge area of the bar but wasn't sure if the barmaid would come to us. After waiting about ten minutes (during which time we could see a staff member in the conservatory) we went into the bar and asked if we should order at the bar or was it table service, and was answered that it was either. Since the latter hadn't happened (in fact, other people had been served at the bar in the meantime) we gave our drinks order and advised we were booked in for lunch. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine which was brought over in an ice bucket which only had ice in the bottom - no water. The waiter arrived at our table with two menus (for four people) but saved the day by being very attentive, polite and friendly. Up to this point we were feeling very let down, but from being shown to our table and leaving we were much happier about the visit. The gardens are beautiful, with double loungers for guests which looked very tempting!I have to say that this lack of greeting was the same on all three visits, and think more should be done to make visitors aware of what type of service the bar is, with maybe a note on the table to avoid confusion.None of the above would stop us visiting again.

My first experience of this location was a Christmas Party - the pervious name/management of the Hotel were the Beauport. Now? It's run by Mr Duncan Bannatyne and what a difference he has made! The coffee bar is uber chic, designed by him personally. The view from any window is luscious. The gardens are such that you almost feel at home with the added bonus of not having to Maintain the Gorgeous landscape! The hotel boasts a Spa and Gymnasium - neither of which i've tried! But if the standard there is as high as his restaurant - then I have to say, it's THE way to feel spoilt, pampered in luxurious surroundings for very reasonable prices.

My Partner and I visited this Hotel tonight for a Birthday meal in the Restaurant. The surroundings and decor were First Class as was the service and food. We were served buy a polite young waiter named Sam ( a rare commodity these days ) and found the menu extensive . The food was exellent and extremely good value at £13.95 for three courses on the "Early bird deal".Give both the chef and the waiter a rise immediately, which you would be able to do if you were to advertise more. We have lived with-in a mile of your Hotel for the past three years and have only just discovered you by accident.Martin and Adele

This hollington store has gone downhill over last few years!...rude dot-com personal shoppers give you dirty looks if you happen to be shopping where they want to shop...if there's a small gap where only one trolley will fit through they're look at you while tapping they're foot and huffing & puffing, they really make you feel uncomfortable! I asked a female dot-com shopper where something was that I couldn't find, and she said "same place as it's always been, isle 4" I couldn't believe her attitude, I was shocked and just walked away. Cars and vans seem to park wherever they want too in the carpark..in family spaces with no family & in disabled spaces when they're not disabled, no staff, security or any other tesco employees do anything about it!....people even park in the pickup and dropoff lay-by and go in to do they're shopping 🤦 We now shop at Asda, where the staff seem to all be polite, courteous and happy to help customers...just like tesco staff are trained to do!
