This is the only place I can buy great Chinese food at! Recommend 100%! 5 stars

First time ordering, bait was immense. Who knew you could get salt and pepper chicken balls! Will order again. Chips crispy, banging.

My regular Chinese takeaway, ordered tonight, chicken balls with fried rice and curry , always perfect and piping hot per usual , great service as per normal , revimmend to anyone , regularly order the roast chicken and that is always top notch too , go again soon

Absolutely disgusting in every sense of the word. Felt sick immediately after eating the Chicken Chow Mein and my other half also became ill from the Thai King Prawn Curry. Do NOT order from here unless you want an early visit to the hospital. Barely even warm either. And the sauce. It was literal slime. Utter disgusting cannot even believe its still open.

this is the best Chinese takeaway i've ever had everything is so fresh and even the fried rice. the chicken noodles and chicken rice are all delicious, highly recommended never had one thing wrong with this. highly recommend and will never go to a different Chinese. keep up the good work!

Orderd king prawn curry special fry rice chips and chicken noodles the prawns where vile tasted like soil. The chicken was very cold noodles where all a stuck together the woman is very cheeky and rude too no refund just left never again

Absolutely awful! Ordered a meal they did not have card payments just cash which is reasonable . It was for collection walked 15 minutes to collect in the poring rain they gave me my order then I walked another 15 min back home. Opened up my order it wasn't what I ordered. the Chips were burnt, soggy and cold I then rang up and said its the wrong order and that I want a refund they said I'm not getting a refund and started being cheeky and hung the phone up! Threw food in the bin. Terrible shop do not go there it's absolutely vile!!!

A great takeaway, service is fantastic, you don't have to wait more than 5 minutes for food to be ready, and delicious

I am super fussy when it comes to Chinese. After moving to Birtley a couple years ago, we tried a few within Birtley and nothing was satisfying our Chinese cravings. We then came across Concord Chinese after driving past one time and were currently 5 orders deep and about to order for the 6th time in the space of a few months. Food is always hot and tastes delicious. The dishes I can vouch for that I’ve personally had: Salted & pepper chicken 10/10 Salt and pepper chips 10/10 Curry sauce 10/10 (actually hard to find a nice curry sauce but this one’s lovely) The half a duck 10/10 Chicken balls 10/10 (not greasy like others) House Special Chowmein 10/10 (plenty of meat)

Yuck. Salt and pepper spare ribs dry and rather hard to find the meat. King Prawn curry...we found 3 King Prawns - lots if mushrooms though. Good if you like mushrooms. Curry sauce very salty. Contacted the 'restaurant' and they were not helpful. Told wwecouldnt have a refund as we'd paid Just Eat and Money Laundering!! APPARENTLY there were 10 King Prawns!! Er No unless you count mushrooms as King Prawns. So contacted Just Eat....its a fight. Oh but we did get a freebie, marked Free on the container. Nice touch if you eat chicken - we dont. Waste. Maybe reduce prices improve quality and, ask if custmers want 'freebies' and get them to select. Meantime food went in the bin. My advice.... Dont go there.

Lovely hot meal arrives earlier than estimated we got roasted duck and black bean not much duck but was tasty salt and pepper chips very nice but would of liked more veg I.e onions peppers but the taste was there

We ordered three meals which with delivery charges came to just short of £30. This is equivalent to sit down, restaurant prices. There should be no surcharge for using Just Eat. I know that they have to pay Just Eat but they are benefiting from the extra business, that the convenience ofJust Eat provides; business that they might otherwise lose. Two of the meals were fine but mine wasn't. I would have ordered the house special chow mein but it is done with BBQ sauce; not very Chinese and not to my liking. I therefore ordered the house special crispy noodles. The food arrived on time but minus the crispy noodles. I contacted them and they apologised and promised to get the noodles sent out. They arrived 20 minutes later and were like cardboard. They looked like those packs of fine, hard noodles, you buy in the supermarket, that when boiled turn into nice soft noodles. They were like eating straw and entirely uninspiring. Not at all happy, particularly considering the inflationary prices.

Absolutely rotten reheated chips and a burnt omelette with uncooked mushrooms would never go back !!! I've edited this comment as I've been up all night spewing all over I wud avoid this place

So went to place a order on just eat, selected what I normally get and went to pay to see that it’s going to be £44.30 for a Chinese that should only be atleast £35, wasn’t until I rang and placed my order over the phone to find out my order was only £28!!! £16 extra to pay on just eat, Don’t understand why they should charge extra it’s day light robbery

We ordered 4 main meals from here on recommendation from a couple of friends. Have to say the food was superb and the best we have had in a long time. 4 clean plates. We will definitely use again.

The Wife and I have been ordering here for a while. Never again we ordered our usual and I genuinely thought someone had dropped the salt!!! Binned it....tried again the following week. Nope Still the same. Standard has dropped significantly and losing customers rapidly. Rang up and spoke to the gent who takes the orders. He couldn't of give a flying f**k. Thumbs down from me and the owner should either revert back when we all Loved the food or cease trading because the food is inedible. Simple!

We have been going to concord chinese for years and even though we have tried other places we always come back to this one. Food is always ready to collect very soon after ordering and is always nice and hot. Man who serves us is always friendly. Would definitely recommend the chicken in black bean sauce or chow mien.

I have ordered here for yrs but lately just bloody awful, salty, to much garlic and chow mein has been burnt and u can taste it,luke warm, gave it another chance it was worse, bin!!! If u order buy pop too u will need it 31.00 to end up with a cheese toastie, NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL

Got food from here last night and thought a was going to have a stroke due to the massive amount of salt. Absolutely horrible don't waste your money

Just purchased, 2 egg fried rice, 2 curry sauces, chips and prawn crackers, all I can say is the sauce is that salty it’s literally inedible. The chips were dry, cold, re-heated and also vile. Managed a few mouthfuls at best with the rest heading straight for the bin, what a waste of money. Absolute disgusting meal. If I could give no stars I would. Thanks concord Chinese

We regularly order from this Chinese and usually receive amazing food, however on this occasion we could have more than a few mouthfuls because of how salty it was!!! Tasted like someone had accidentally spilled an entire salt shaker in the chow Mein, extremely dissapointed.

Really bad chips solid reheated bits off the chicken cold like out of fridge it’s that cold bits of chicken not cooked at all mushrooms were raw in omelette never again !!!

If I could put no stars I would have! Ordered gravy fried rice and chips, with a few other things. Was sent noodles with onion fried rice chips and gravy. Explained this was not what was ordered and the guy on the phone argued saying that was ordered, this was not as the girl it was ordered for is allergic to onions which was explained on the phone. They said they would replace it but it wouldn’t be until about 8/ after. We explained with working in care that was not an option as we would be off break and in calls then as we can’t take breaks when we want just because they messed up the order. We asked to speak to a manager and never got to speak to a manager and also asked to be refunded the money for the food as it was wrong and not getting replaced which we were told no to. Lost customers as I order from there when I want a Chinese and at work we order when we fancy a Chinese from here.

So I have been ordering my takeaway here for 10+ years. Last week was the final straw for us the food went in the bin. We have tried different dishes as our usual dish was not the same. The chicken and cashew nuts, WOW!! was like eating the ocean.Pure salt and a smell of south shields beach. (no joke) The curry sauce also of late has a metal taste to it, and another taste but can't put my finger on it. The chicken balls - (what was once a favorite) are over cooked and no idea what meat they use? Now the salt and pepper chicken - this has a really nice taste but is scary to think how much salt goes into this dish- the name speaks for itself. But last few times it has been skimpy pieces of chicken dry over cooked batter. The noodles - came in the usual carton but was dripping with salt - everything is just overloaded with salt. Why does noodles need to be dripping in salt very unhealthy! Did the chef leave??? the food was once the best place to get your takeaway now its the bottom of the list. After the disgusting food from here for sometime we tried a different Chinese takeaway and the quality of the food was amazing (compared to this takeaway) I think this place thinks they are the bee's and Eee's the attitude from the guy on the phone is also disgusting and could do with a customer care crash course for dummies .They do not look after their customers that have been with them for a very long time, years. So time to say goodbye and from us, my family and friends are also avoiding this place after 10+ years. Don't get to cocky as it might come and wham you in the face! from some of the reviews lately looks like its happening already!

Been buying our weekly Chinese from here for years. Lately the food has been terrible - low quality and high prices, so wont be buying from here again. The guy who works behind the desk also should keep his eyes off young girls. My daughter was in here yesterday and she had to leave and wait outside for her order as he made her feel very uncomfortable perv erting on her and the guy out the back. Her boyfriend also very uncomfortable. Even when she left to wait outside they are looking out the door / window at her.

Last twice been awful especially last night. Been going here for years but never again. From rining order in to arriving at the door it was within 20 minutes. Far too quick considering it wasnt hot, barely warm. Spent £18.80 but gave £20 & it was disgusting, chewy, salty. Chicken balls are not even chicken now they are some tasteless mush inside and batter was chewy not fresh & crispy. Think it was leftovers heated in microwave at best. I haven't got words to describe how bad it was other than to say never again

Regular customer for a lot of years. Last one was disappointing & again tonight. From ordering it was delivered within 20 minutes, it was very dry & barely warm. What used to be chicken inside the chicken balls has been replaced by tasteless mush. After probably 10 year that's the last, disgusting.

Our meal was a far cry from their usual standards. The Singapore Chow Meins were dry and claggy and had no king prawns in them. The chilli salt and pepper chips, had an ocean of salt but entirely lacked the chilli and pepper. I don't know if it was a different chef or just a one off but it was by far the poorest meal we have had from them. Standards need to be consistent everytime.

Food arrived within the time stated but it was luke warm at best. The chicken balls were over cooked on the outside and the inside had a slimy squishy texture. Sweet and sour sauce was inedible and the prawn crackers were just bits of crackers. Chips and fried rice were ok. Close to one of the worst meals I've ever had definitely wont be going back there. Was that bad even my kids wouldn't eat it and they eat anything.

We have used this takeaway many times over the years and have found that they do the best noodles in town. We love their Singapore Chow Mein, nice and spicy. They also do excellent Chilli Salt & Pepper Chips. We have had many meals in the past, all prepared to a high standard and they have good delivery times. You also get extras, which vary depending on how much you spend.

We waited an hour and ten minutes for our food when it arrived it was cold been here loads of times no problems rang up got fobbed off

Great food. Soft noodles amazing. Can eat them without anything else. My favourite one is beef curry extra spicy. But other dishes are great to.

Good quality has dropped massively .. was one a great takeaway .. and the shop is falling to bits . Dirty rotten place now .. shame as it was great food .. I'll not be visiting until it get a clean up !!!

It is now the third time we have use thistake away.Delivery has always been fast and thfood has been very good .the chicken and sweetcorn soup good and thick with plenty of chicken in it. The hot And sour well flavoured with plenty of chilli.Chicken with orange sauce very good but the sauce could do to be a lot thicker. TENDS TO FALL OFF. Chicken with black pepper sauce very flavoursome with plenty of blackpepper. This takeaway is well worth using. Keep it up

Ordered plain soft noodles for daughter so they sent plain chow mein. Rang up and he hung up after he said it wasn't what was ordered..lost a customer. Been going there 4 yrs.

Every time we order food from Concord Chinese, it is beautiful. I really can't fault this takeaway and would recommend anyone to try it.

Still best in concord from phoning with a friendly voice , food is just want you asked for piping hot on delivery and delivered on time , thankyou 😊 wouldn't go use anywhere else 😅😊

Just had delivery of curry & rice & chips. Curry cold and rice. Chips must of been standing ages all horrible and hard and brown. Got to be frozen chips. Never again will I order from there.

I regularly use Concord Chinese even though they're miles away from where I live. Why? Because Concord Chinese undoubtably gives you the most amount of any meat in every portion/meal, in Washington. The quality of their food is brilliant but a little generic, if you're after the regular Cantonese cuisine then this place is your gaffe. I would recommend their house special chow mein.

Had a really disappointing take away from here. It simply did not taste very nice (pork balls). The onion rings looked very similar to what I've bought in the supermarket
