Being a visitor & not knowing London, we were searching for somewhere to eat after visiting a very boring Natural History Museum when we came across this busy but bright & cheerful resteraunt. We had not eaten Lebanese food before but if this was a sample then we certainly will be again! Beautiful food & great service. We complimented the lady who cleared our plates & stood chatting about the delicious dressing on our food. She then brought over a sample neat for us to try & then kindly gave us this large bottle to take home! She was amazing. We left a tip but she returned this pointing out they did put a service charge on. Nevertheless l gave her extra for the tip jar. Wished we lived nearer because certainly would eat there regularly & try out the different foods. Thank you

Hard to choose where to eat when on Haymarket! The Comptoir Libanais got our vote and we were not disappointed. The room is bright and spacious, and the menu was large, authentic-looking and very tempting. Despite being there on a busy weekend lunchtime, the staff were attentive, patient, friendly and overall highly efficient, and the place did not feel rushed or stuffed. The food itself was nothing less than what one would expect from a back-street restaurant in Beirut: tasty, full of flavours (from starters to desserts), and served just enough so that one feels satisfied but not too full. Overall an excellent experience.

Sabroso.

We ordered a vegan mezze platter and a wrap dish from a waitress that did not seem to speak much English. The vegan platter was full of cheese so we had to send it back. My food had a salad that was limp and old, the pitta bread was cold and limp and the whole meal was really a disaster. We called the manager over who was unappologetic. The place was also not very clean. It seems they count on tourist trade and people just coming over once. We will certianly never eat there again. Disgusting!

Where do I start? Having called the night before and booked a table for 10 people, we arrived at the restaurant only to find no table reserved. We only had to wait ten minutes to be seated which wasn’t too bad however the rest was a total shambles! Initially were only given the main menu, no specials or kids menus. Only one tiny jug of water was provided, there was only just enough for half of us to have half a (tiny) glass each. Food arrived at different times and they totally forgot one of the kids meals plus a side order of chips. We had a baby with us who only eats proper food from our own plates, we were waiting over an hour for our food and the baby got so tired she ended up going to sleep without eating well, the chips were also partly for her. The kids ate their deserts surrounded by dirty plates. Also there was no couscous served with the tagine. Having been to the Kingston branch many times and been more than happy I was so surprised, to be fair we arrived during a pre-theatre rush so didn’t mind too much initially however it quickly emptied out and there was still no improvement in service. The food was tasty though, hence two stars not one.

The food was very rich in taste me and my partner went for the wraps (chicken & halloumi) and for a mix of dips. Even the side salad was very rich in flavour. The Rose mint tea is absolutly amazing! The restaurant is very vibrant with the decorations and the libanese music. The staff is very hardworking and kind. Allthough they seemed a little bit stressed they tried to hide it from the costumers. I hope they get a good amount of rest and tip for their hard work. Definetly worth the visit!!!

Ate here yesterday for a pre theatre meal. We had pre booked a table but restaurant quite empty when we arrived anyway. The gentleman serving us was very polite, came over several times during our meal to check all was ok and to advise on waiting times. We ordered the mixed dips and flatbread to start, the baba ganoush was particularly tasty. We did need to ask for more flatbread though as there was far too much dip for the amount provided. My husband had mixed grill and I had falafel salad, both very tasty and filling. We then had the milk pudding and frozen yogurt with date and fig topping, again very nice. We were provided with a glass of water without asking, and had a jug of the vodka lemonade. Not the cheapest meal but not bad value, would definitely visit again if in the area.

Thursday night, arrived late for dinner (around 8.45pm), promptly served. I had the quinoa with roasted onions, peppers and feta salad and a glass of Lebanese wine. The salad was OK, not a huge amount of flavours. The wine was virtually undrinkable - maybe I should have returned it. In the end I did not finish it. Overall, quite disappointing.

We were really impressed with this restaurant on our first visit today It felt bright and warm, and the ethnic decor was fantastic on a cold London day The menu was varied, we had a mixture of sharing mezze dishes although there was a wide selection of options such as burgers, moussaka, and some fantastic salads. We really enjoyed the hummus and baba ghanuj and the ice cream with Rose water and red berry compote was delicious. The fresh rose mint tea was very special I will definitely be happy to visit again after such an enjoyable meal and such good service..a great discovery!

A very cozy and bright place, with really good food, warm atmosphere, interesting music and decor. The staff was very attentive and provided good service, even compliment small desert on the house. Rose and mint tea is an absolute “must take”. I was personally impressed with salads’ dressings, spices and freshly made houmous, but would like to come back to try even more of that tasty menu. And back for that tea, of course. Me and my mom spent a lovely evening in this restaurant.

Sunday evening me and my mother wanted to have some tea and we saw this place. First we tought it might be a good place because of the decoration and we tought we can have some dinner as well. When we stepped in the restaurant, manager welcomed us and we asked if we can have some tea. Manager said yes and then apparently he changed his mind but it was a bit late. We asked if we can have another table because, our table was next to the door and we were uncomfortable with that table and he said no because we were just having drinks in a bare rude way. After, while we were ordering he said if he gets busy he will tell us to leave. In that time he just had 4 tables with us and restaurant was nearly empty. That attitude that he gave us was definitely not appropriate especially not for a manager. My mum wanted to leave because of the way how he was looking us. We basically drank our teas just like shots and we left. Even while we were leaving he didn’t say bye.

First thing I noticed about this restaurant was the beautiful orange and purple lighting. They have little lights inside a container as well at the tables. Atmosphere and decor's all part of it isn't it? Not just the food. PS It was lovely food and I enjoyed a chicken and rice dish and Ossmallieh dessert, which I'd never tried before, though have been at loads of Lebanese and middle eastern restaurants!

I just ordered on TooGoodToGo and the guy handed me a box that was in his display already made up with a small portion of rice with few slices of tomato and a dollop of like curry sauce. I asked him what was it and he said chicken. I found there was no chicken at all when I went home and started eating. I also bought baklava which was tasty. I think it is a rip off, charging for just small portion plain rice and curry sauce with a value of nine pounds.
