Complete Meats Deli in East Devon

I love pasties and go daft on them when I’m in the South west. I came to Honiton as I knew they had a Warrens bakery (please see my other review) which I’d good memories of. Having got my supplies from them I spotted this shop on the high st on my way back to the car. Seduced in as I always am by baked goods I saw they did a “Devon pasty”. It looked good enough to get one to try despite my previous Warrens purchases. And I am so glad I did ! I must have tried 15 different bakeries in the 2 weeks I was in the area and this pasty was hands down the best of them all. In fact nothing came close. It had a generous mixed filling, well seasoned and a pastry that was in the right proportion to the filling. Please take a bow…..I’ll be back 😋

On short stop checked out the window display and was tempted by a reasonably priced brace of pheasant. Cooked them for lunch and they were excellent.

Amazing food. Good price for the quality of products. Only problem my business partner and I have is, everyday we have been here to get our lunch, the attitude is extremely poor. Very disappointing when they are working in a customer service environment and can’t even say hello back to their customers who are spending their money with them. Manners do not cost a thing!

Absolutely fantastic sausage rolls especially the caramelised onion ones. Also the chilli beef pies are delicious. The service and quality are first class.

There are three High Street butchers in Honiton and this is one of the best (together with Porkies). The chicken breasts and beef fillet are competitively priced and are of consistently good quality. In addition to fresh meat, the shop also has a delicatessen counter. The steak pies and quiches are excellent. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

Hands down the best sausage rolls I've eaten.... and is consistently great too!! Deserving of a medal to the sausage roll industry.

Complete Meats is a lovely shop, the fresh meat and the hot food counter are both really good quality and you always receive service with a smile.

I’ve just started working in Honiton and have been to complete meats a few times and had to leave a review to how exceptional the customer service is from the 2 ladies that served me today at around 13:15. They make you feel so welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Not only that but their food is amazing! I have the chicken tikka roll which is freshly made and only £4.50 on the meal deal. (You get a can of drink and a packet of Burts Crisps) they are also not shy on the generosity of the filling! Highly recommend!

Pop in to buy good rump steak but find it hard to resist their chilli cheese pie - chunks of beef in spicy chilli sauce with cheesy top - what’s not to like

I required fillet stakes for a dinner party. They did not have sufficient immediately available but said that they would get a complete fillet if I would come back. After buying some flowers I returned to find that they had produced a complete fillet which was absolutely superb - 10 out of 10'for service and quality.

This deli is a reliable, local butchers shop. The quality of their meat is excellent and it is reasonably priced. There are usually special offers on chicken breasts. Their pies and quiches are lovely. We are lucky in Honiton to have 3 local butchers. This is the best.

We used to come here for a coronation chicken bap, and a meat bap, how ever, they started to sell out by lunchtime! To get any meat, you have to be there before 12! Which is crazy. Also, I found a couple of bits of hard stuff in the chicken last time, which has put me off. Such a shame as it was our favourite. Also the people on the butchers side seem really friendly, but the people on the deli side aren’t the littlest bit welcoming. Such a shame.

Love this butchers. Last time I was down I took meat home with me for the freeze. This time my daughter and I had a BBQ pack from them and it was such good value and products were excellant

Lovely freshly baked pasties and pies to take away.. Also a good selection of fillings to chose from for freshly made rolls..Lovely roast chickens and half chicken all hot and ready to eat.

We use Complete Meats for all our meat, sausages etc as well as the deli side for cooked meats and pies. They are a local chain of butchers who try to source their meat as locally as possible - and it shows in the quality!

Lovely to see a good selection of fresh meat and freshly cooked pies. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Nice that the traditional hats are worn. We tried the plain and Cumberland sausages and both were really tasty, chicken fillets were good too and made great garlic Kiev’s

As a South African (-ish) I was delighted to find that this places had a selection of Biltong, as well as all the other incredible meats on offer. Service was always friendly and helpful.

Honiton is blessed with three butchers and this is one of the best. Their chicken fillets are reasonably priced and the fillet beef is excellent. It is a pleasure to be served by knowledgeable staff who can provide sound advice.

Most amazing beefed up beef baguette i have ever had it was so good and had s so much beef. It was very nice and great value for money would recommend this to anyone :)

Complete Meats Honiton is the only place I would recommend if your looking for a full range of meat, cooked meats, cheese and freshly made sandwiches. What hits you as you walk is in is the wide range of products on display, their window is always packed full of mouth watering produce either in house flavoured BBQ packs or thickly cut steaks.

On a Friday, my partner will treat us & grab a couple of baps on his lunch.

Wouldn't get my meat from Any other place in town ! This is the place to go great prices and always good quality

i was going to buy a pasty but ended up with some cheese, pickle and ham, all very nice plus they make their own black pudding, recommended. well done Shaun. (owner)

Complete Meats of Honiton is really two shops in one, with a superb Deli on one side, and a high quality award-winning traditional Butcher on the other. It is easy to locate in High Street, it's opposite the entrance to Lace Walk Shopping Precinct.
