Lovely little wine bar, very cosy with another lovely room upstairs. Extensive wine list and friendly service. Tucked away from the main road so not so noisy. Will return.

I popped in for a glass of wine as I was early to meet friends for supper. I found it really charming and convivial. The setting is lovely and the twinkly lights in the courtyard make it a great place to meet for a festive drink. I will visit again with friends.

Located at the Seven dials in London. Nice and sizeable wine bar with a cool ambiance. Good selection of wines but even the entry level bottles are pricy. Enjoyable.

Quaint wine bar in Neal’s Yard. Sampled 3 cheeses with french red wine. Service was friendly and was not rushed. Feel’s like you are in a Paris court yard. I will check out the location in downtown NYC, as suggested by waiter.

We had a gorgeous meal and wine here in May 2023. The food was so flavourful and perfectly prepared - excellent value - and the wines were beautiful and well-suggested by the staff. The service! Some of the best service I’ve ever had (thank you Julia!) will definitely return

A charming wine bar in a hidden charming courtyard off Covent Garden. A fabulous selection of wine. A great place to take an afternoon break from shops and sightseeing.

What a great find! We were looking for somewhere for a quick drink before a show and stumbled across this gem! Great location, fab vibe and lovely wine! We will be back!

If you’re going to charge top end prices then invest in the memorable aspect which is the people upfront. This place is run like a rich persons hobby where customers don’t count. We stayed 20 mins the went elsewhere. The wine we had was pretty ok but my partner’s was full of sediment which no decent sommelier would ever serve.

Nice little wind and cheese stop in a charming courtyard. The bad service reviews are people in a hurry through life. Stop here if you’re in love, enjoy people watching or just like life.

We were looking for somewhere to sit outside and have a drink and something light to eat Post matinee. This place is set in traffic free Neal’s yard and seemed to fit the bill. It was very hard to spot who were staff but someone eventually stopped to check we were ok and gave us a table but , rather cursorily, told us they only served wine. The wine list and menu was brought by a young man who could hardly be bothered and does not know how to welcome guests or smile. We duly made our choices off the food menu only then to be told our choices were not served before 6. Why not say or make clear before? Settled on 5 cheeses to share between us to keep us going until 6. Minuscule portions for price but good cheese. Tried to attract waiter for more bread - impossible. Luckily someone keeps an eye on tables and identified more was needed and brought us some. Menu very very limited but not bad food. Definitely Over priced and aimed at tourists. Wine list huge and expensive and would not trust staff to advise anyway. Had to ask for bill several times. Overall dis interested staff and probably feel no need to up their game given location and amount of passing trade. Won’t recommend or go out of way to go again.

Probably the worst service I’ve experienced outside of actual France. Staff absolutely can’t be bothered, don’t crack a smile, give inaccurate information about bookings, etc.

Sunny day so lovely to sit outside. Huge wine list but don’t bother eating. Very overpriced,poor food. Really no excuse. Just living off tourists and their location. Service poor.

A gem of a find set in a lovely area in Seven Dials with extensive wine list (as you'd expect) and some delicious light bites. We had Baby Squid and Tempura Prawn - the squid was better than the prawn, which we had to wait a bit longer for - but the cheese and charcuterie plates looked good too. We didn't have a reservation and it was busy, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Lovely staff and efficient service. One downside is that it felt crammed, but as a quick pitstop pre-theatre, I would highly recommend. It's a stones throw from the Donmar Warehouse.

In short the wine was nice (too big wine list for the average person). The cheese and bread good, though not too much of it. Really uninterested male servers. A lovely Saturday afternoon and the area soon became busy. The servers were really not too bothered about making us feel welcome and did little to try and interest us in anything at all. Cheese selection ordered and the chap rarely struggled in his so called French English to tell us what the three cheeses were. There was never an attempt to check on how we, or other customers around us were, to see if we were OK or wished to have anything further. When it came to paying the bill service charge was already added. We felt that this was not appropriate and asked that it be removed. This did not even register a flicker and it was just 'yeah fine'. In this current climate when firms have been struggling due to Covid etc, this should not be the case, and effort should be made to ensure customers are happy. Probably the most indirect experience we have had a in a long time, and will not be repeating. They rely on a captive situation for customers and do not try to enhance the visit. This place could be brilliant with better staff.

I’ll never go back to this place again. They messed up my friend’s reservation for her birthday twice!!! They were rude.. not patience for the orders... overpriced a cheese board £19 for 5 small (very small) pieces of cheese. You just pay for the location I believe but around there are better places for sure.

I went to have dinner with a friend last Friday. We didn't have a reservation but we got a beautiful table upstairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was simple but extremely delicious. I cannot wait to go again there.

Lovely location but has the feel of a tourist trap. Average service, small portions, and obscene prices. We had to go grab a sandwich afterwards.

Second visit here. While the wine menu sounds good, the poor English proficiency of the staff and its lack of knowledge of their own selection is off-putting. As it's been said before, other places offer better value in the same area

Stumbled across this little sanctuary after a hard day of Xmas shopping in Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Soho and Neal's Yard. Never noticed it before but fantastic wine list and lovely selection of cheeses! Friendly service. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been in this place with a friend after a French colleague suggested it: we’ve enjoyed a delightful evening with delicious food and wine. The personnel has been nice and is prepared about the ingredients of the food and the characteristics of the wine. I’ll be back for sure.

I went for a couple of glasses of wine, the selection in the wine list is quite decent, almost all french offers. The backside was service: terrible service, the waitress was very arrogant, did not understand my question, therefore replied something completely different and when addressed that the answer was not relevant, sweared in the native language asking if I was not listening to what she said. In the moltitude of offers within London, I woudl not go back as I can the very same selection of wines with a much better and kind service.

Amazing location, right at the heart of Neals Yard, very cozy ambiance cool Wine bar with a simple French menu. Great for a quick bite or long drinks, they have a solid wine menu.

Expensive place for what you get...snack food (chicken ? ) was terrible something only suitable for lilliput sized people. When asked for ice for the wine, got a pompous French attitude reply. Waiter service was atrocious and rude. Automatically added service charge too, we minused that and left....never again.

This could be a place to be. It’s superbly located. It’s the sort of place that has summer written all over it. Today it was hot and sunny and London was out in force. And all of them were eating take away pizza from around the corner and cramming out the seats...and as we arrived the only other clients here paid and left. We were alone. The meal was ridiculously tiny and extraordinarily expensive - she had a microscopic stracciatella (sp) cheese with accoutrements for £12, and I had truffle oil spaghetti with fragments of (?)parma ham. And it cost £15. It would be small for a starter. Note the photo of it with my hand for scale. We had a very average Sauvignon Blanc that cost £9 for 125ml (tho frankly it looked less). Finally, there were two massive chips out of the rim of my bowl and I pointed this out to the waiter ana suggested something might be done. He commented that it had been dropped, but that it still worked as a bowl so...and gave a Gallic shrug. I’m used to London and it’s prices but this was a shocking experience. The nice setting just isn’t worth it. I’d rather have a piece of pizza and sit in the sun with the others.

The GM dropped my wine and said it wasn't his fault and refused to deduct it from the bill or replace it OR even say sorry!!!!

This wine bar is pricey, but the wine is really great. It is a small place so not a lot of space. The staff were nice and good at providing recommendations for wine selection. The relaxed table service was also great.

Wine is ok in matter of taste, so is the cheese, but the portion are so ridiculously tiny and overpriced.

Omg , this place is amazing . Chic and relaxed , buzzy and friendly ! Very nice interior and little outside seats in the yard also, with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Food was very high quality and reasonable price for heart of London. We shall return .

The waitstaff was incredibly rude and essentially said we weren't as important as other customers as we had a child with us and she could make more money from adults than "babies"

Fui con dos amigos. Es un bar muy bonito vino en un entorno muy agradable. Muy animado. El personal es muy amable y bien informado. Nuestra camarera era precioso. Teníamos una mesa pequeña y tan pronto como una mesa más grande estaba disponible nos trasladamos a él. El queso y el jamón era hacer agua la boca y nuestro pan fue rellenado sin tener que preguntar. El vino era sencillo. No puedo quejarme de este lugar. Sin duda volveremos. La factura por una botella de vino, quesos, jamón y 5 pan llegó a 25 libras cada una con servicio.

Visitamos aquí como el último lugar en una excursión a pie de Covent Garden. Este fue nuestro lugar de almuerzo para un grupo de 10 con quesos, carnes, frutas, panes, todo servido en bandejas de madera, acompañados por una selección de vinos. Mucho espacio alrededor de una larga mesa de alta calidad y un servicio muy amable y entendido. Todo bien y sin duda volveremos.

We found ourselves here on a warm evening while waiting for a table to come free. It's charmingly located and a pleasant place. The service was friendly if a bit disorganised. We had a bottle of champagne from a list that ranged from expensive to very expensive. I didn't look at the other wines but guess that it would be easy to rack up a substantial bill.

Seemed ok on the surface but the wine was very expensive and looking around we noticed everyone was a tourist and only staying for one drink. Plenty of nicer and less expensive places around the corner on Monmouth street.

I'm going to this place regularly, but I've been very disappointing when for my last visit I've been welcomed from a very rude and impolite girl. My boyfriend and I asked to be seated in one of the sofa table and she strictly answered that it was a table for 4, so I asked if it was reserved and she reply that it wasn't reserved but it was for 4 people not for 2 without even apologize. We left! Probably the management have to teach her how to work in hospitality and how to talk to the customers

Primera experiencia allí fue increíble: un precio razonable para la calidad, personal amable, gran ambiente. La segunda fue un poco diferente: el personal y el ambiente aún estaban bien, pero los precios fuimos sobre el techo! Este fue uno de nuestros favoritos fuera de Londres. Situado en el muy a la moda Neal's Yard, es un bullicioso patio (sin coches) pequeño nicho con tiendas y restaurantes. Fue muy especial. Comagnie La carta de vinos está llena de increíbles vinos franceses (los camareros conocen todos ellos). La comida es sublime. La Taramasalata es probablemente el mejor que hemos probado. Bandejas de queso y crujiente con increíbles calamares. También tenía una especial mozzarella que limita en queso burrata (también en el menú).

Idem joya de covent para cubrir buena comida que les guste asequible y agradable terraza vino y comedor. El servicio puede ser un poco lento y desorganizado, la mejor manera es pedir en el bar.

Situada en la maravillosa plaza de Neal`s Yard, este local ofrece una amplísima carta de vinos de muchos países, pero a unos precios astronómicos, por ejemplo, una copa de verdejo 10 £ y una copa de vino manzanilla 9 £. Puede acompañarse con una pequeña tapa, pero más de lo mismo, una muestra pequeña de tres quesos, insisto, pequeña, 14 £. Por si fuese poco, la propina de un 12.5%!!!! la cobran en la cuenta.

Carta espectacular de vinos, sobre todo franceses, en un marco inigualable. Tomamos un steak y una tabla de quesos con una botella de Ganevat, El steak muy bueno y el Ganevat excelente. Os lo recomiendo.

I've spent a few evenings here as they have an extensive wine list abs the surrounding area is lovely. When a friend visited, I thought this was the perfect place to start the evening. I booked a table 5 days in advance and requested the two seater table by the French doors as the weather was beautiful and I was told on the phone that it would be arranged without a problem. When we arrived, we seated in the far corner on a cramped table right by the stairs, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Having experienced this, I probably won't be returning again. Food was fine. There are plenty of fantastic wine bars around who provide great food and a far better customer service.

We have just had drinks there 2 hours ago. The waitress was very arrogant and made you feel you should be happy to be allowed in the place!I was tempted to leave as this was the same when I went there 6 months ago. Having said that the wine was good and the cheese board was excellent but very over priced. We won't be going back for a 3rd visit.I was told they don't have a house white by the arrogant waitress and then advised to try the house white by one of the other waiters.

We went there for a quick drink while we were waiting for a table in a restaurant next door and we were charged £27 for 4 cokes and 1 small glass of white wine! We were charged £3 for service charge.. even we were there for 15minutes. The waitress brought us the small bottles of coke with no glasses so we end up drinking the coke with the empty wine glasses that were already on the table.There are many places around this nice area in Covent Garden that for sure are much better! Please avoid.

Very good food, and I mean VERY! Interesting & extensive choice of wines (though not all of the wines we tried were outstanding), and very friendly professional service Downside was ridiculously tiny tables that are completely inappropriate for the food being served. Called in for a post matinee theatre visit and was surprised by the chic elegance with plenty of low tables/chairs, high stools around the bar and stylish service. Enjoyed a bottle of chilled Chenin Blanc amongst four before moving on for dinner. Well worth the extra and will visit again.

Went in for an after work drink and a bite to eat on a Saturday night and found the venue to be interesting and nice ambiance. The wine waiter explained the wine that we had ordered well and took an interest in our taste preference which is always nice to see. Only down side is that a few starters and two bottles of wine came to £130. Prices are too high, you can get a meal and drinks in most places for that, otherwise I would happily return.

Located in Neal's Yard, close to Seven Dials, the style of this small wine bar / restaurant was chic and the music was good. Wine can be expensive in this stylish area of London, and this place was no different, but there was no evidence that wine is the speciality here and I'd characterise it as a cosy cafe type place with expensive wine bar / hotel prices. I wouldn't recommend.

A great oportunity to have 2000£ wines with mice running around the hall.We pointed it out to the waitress - no reaction un 20 minutes. Then the manager: oh yes, there are so many mice...As we were leaving, they sat a group of 4 in the mice area.You better be careful. We did not dare to go the W.C!

Petit bar français ... bien situé... cosy à souhait avec le fameux "vin mystère".. pris dans la carte ... il faut goûter et deviner et ... vous gagnez la bouteille !! Perso... perdu ! Mais .. bon vin avec de bons accompagnements. Faites une petite halte au milieu de cette courette fort sympathique... non loin de soho ... carnaby ... avec des prix corrects.

The location is great and the bar cozy, even if a bit cramped. However, with such an extensive wine list, we were expecting some interaction, suggestion or discussion about the wines but nothing at all, not even a presentation of the £19 cheese platter that was rather meager for the price. The staff were pleasant but just order takers, a bit disappointing and not worth the money really.

We were so offended by the value for money at this place. Don't be fooled by the French style decor, this place is hugely overpriced. It's tapas size plates at mains prices. I ordered the £16 octopus expecting something special but it wouldn't have fed a child. The beef tartar was so small we had to order extra bread to bulk ourselves out. They know their wines but again, it's a small glass at the price of a large glass. Another rip off establishment following this terrible london trend. Unacceptable. Go to homeslice instead.

This place is a gem, they have a great wine selection for all budgets, it's very cosy, as nice in the summer as it is in winter. The music is always great, as the atmosphere, and the staff, especially Maurine, is extremely friendly. The food is good too. I've been dozens of times and would recommend to friends, couples, etc.

Had a nice respite drinking good wine and tasty snacks at compagnie des vins. It's located in Neal's yard which is a courtyard off of one of the streets of the seven dials which is a lovely little find. I'd recommend sitting at an outside table to people watch but the interior also looked cozy. We were a little shocked at our bill as the wine can add up so if you are on a budget just be mindful.

A nice cosy bar, numerous wines to choose from. The service was good, we had a Chardonnay from Australia. It was one of the cheapest wines £55.00, a small 3 cheese plate £14.00 and a service charge of 12.50% on top. It is an expensive venue, but you get what you pay for.
