Comedy in City of London, Westminster

One of best pub in west end.Go every time when I visit central London.staff are very friendly and food is fantastic.we had fish n chip and chicken pie which is delicious.

Great night out for dinner and drinks before the theatre. Great atmosphere and our waiter, Kerris, was incredible! Friendly and attentive! Definitely recommend!

This was a great place to eat before seeing The Book of Mormon. I had the chicken, bean, pancetta pie topped with gratin and my husband had the Hunters chicken. Both were so tasty. Great atmosphere and service.

Came for Father’s Day food was nice but portions bit on small side puddings delicious especially signature sticky toffee pudding, really nice pub and staff was welcoming and friendly. We had Dominique as our waitress and she was lovely!

Two of us called in for lunch before seeing The Book of Mormon at the theatre opposite. It wasn’t my choice, but I was by pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed a House Salad and my partner had Chicken and Chorizo. Service was excellent and friendly. It was a very convenient location and they gave us a 10% discount as we were going to the theatre! We’ll happily return.

Called in at this pub before a show at the nearby Apollo Theatre and had a good meal. The pub is part of a chain (Stonegate Taverns) but our experience was better than at other pubs in the same chain. We were met by the welcoming and friendly Petra and shown to our table before she returned to take our order. The pub was fairly quiet (midweek lunch) and the service was quick. We had the Lasagne and Fish Goujons Sandwich and both were good size portions, well cooked, as well as being served hot. To drink we had Chenin Blanc and Hobgoblin Gold and both were perfectly fine. The latter was a well kept ale. The pub seemed to cater for locals as well as tourists, based on the clientele whilst we were there. Prices were reasonable for London and there was a 10% theatre discount which was a great idea and very welcome.

Our daughter had run the London marathon for action medical with an after-party at the Coach house. It was slightly difficult to gain entry with security at the door but once inside the room and food laid out was lovely. Although a shortage of seating for marathon runners in need of a well-deserved rest. Impeccable service from the barman who looked after us despite working alone and being pulled in every direction. We only gave 3 stars as his manager throwing his weight around, criticising his work with other customers with unnecessary foul language marred our day.

One of the best pub in west end. Petra is awesome as always. Great food as usual. Best fish n chip and lamb shank. We will be back soon.

Our Sunday roasts were magnificent, just what we had hoped for. The restaurant was not crowded and the service was lovely. Thank you Cherry for a great dining experience.

We have been there 2 times on Sunday … Sunday Roast hands down ! I had the lamb a roast and I just loved it Our waitress Dominique delivered a great service You won’t get disappointed

We were going to Abba Voyage and decided to go here for a traditional British Sunday Roast as we were coming from Ireland and we were staying around the corner. It looked nice. We had been here before coincidentally 6 years ago. There was a big Sign outside saying “SUNDAY ROAST AVAILABLE HERE"!! Went in, got a drink and a menu. Then we were told oh “No Sunday Roast today”. That’s OK, I ordered the steak. Waitress came back – “Sorry – no steak either” So I had the Bangers and Mash. It was only ok. Very small portion. Tasty enough but nothing to write home about. Then as I was still hungry we said we would have dessert. So I ordered the “Signature Sticky Toffee Pudding”. And low and behold – that was off the menu too. It was beginning to get like that episode of Fawlty Towers where the only thing on the menu was the Duck!! Anyway, this place could have so much potential but it lacks atmosphere and any sense of style. The decor is outdated and needs a complete makeover. It is in a pretty trendy part of town. It’s a great location and could do so much better. Pity really.

Dropped in for drinks one night returned for food the next night. Be prepared it is packed and loud after office hours but clears around 7.30. Food was reasonable price, plates could be smaller 😁 We had hunters chicken and a steak. Both were ok. Think our dessert got forgotten but did arrive eventually and both were nice. Bar staff pleasant and the guy who brought our food was really nice. Didn't catch his name had lots of chains and good teeth ! Overall a couple of lovely visits would return

Made a table reservation for two people after matinee of Book of Mormon. Arrived and no table for us. Told to “just find one downstairs”. Nobody down there! Cold and isolated, felt like an empty social club down there. Witnessed three other small groups also come in with their booking and no table reserved for them. Shame as the food looked lovely and staff were nice. Just didn’t seem to be honouring bookings, so not sure why that facility is even offered. Stood up to drink our drinks then had to go and find somewhere else to eat, as no tables were vacated in the half and hour we waited. Weird as had two emails reminding me of my reservation and actually arrived 20 minutes before the time booked. No reserved tables at all.

We dropped by for lunch on an early January Thursday lunchtime. It was quiet, the staff clearly all wanted to be somewhere else (verging on the ‘if you hate your job that much, go get another…’). Food feedback ranged from very good to ok. Cocktails were well regarded. Good overall but could have been great especially if the staff smiled and showed some interest…

Planning on stopping by again in the future, enjoyed a couple of drinks and want to try some of the food next time

We came to watch England rugby, we didn't have a reservation, but Petra found us a chair close to the TV and even brought us a drink. We enjoyed the great atmosphere. I can only recommend this place.

Cool place for a drink with my buddies. Petra recommended the chicken burger and the steak and venison pie. Now I know why they call it award winning, I will definitely come back! PS: Petra was amazing!!!

Returning to the crime scene (still my favourite place). It doesn't look very big from the outside, but stretches over four floors. We didn't see it upstairs because someone was having a private meeting, but the rest of the pub is spacious. Food was really good as always and we could also watch cricket on TV. If you want a table service, ask for Petra!

The Stand Up Club was amazing! Our friends highly recommended and I must say it’s worth it! You can order food, drinks and have it sent. The service was excellent. The facilities were clean! We would definitely go back!!!

Ate here today as our go to pub when visiting London. Twice a year we stay at Trafalgar Thistle and always eat at this pub. Staff are fantastic and food wonderful, highly recommended.

Came here for drinks before going to the theatre and sadly they didnt have the first 3 drinks (cocktails) we tried to order and the one I finally did get was seriously watered down and horrible. Bar maid was friendly enough but otherwise really disappointing.

I have been there many times over the past few years to watch Olympique Lyonnais’ games (french football) and we have always been welcome and cared for! A cosy place between Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square!
