Excellent... in a small, but cozy restaurant in London. Out of the way, but WELL worth it. Thank you !!!

I almost made the safe bet of visiting the Pizza Express a few doors down. I'm so glad I didn't. Service, Food and Wine all excellent. I couldn't recommend the pizza more, with perfect chilli oil too.

Staff were rushing us the whole evening, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Food was bland and soggy, with no flavour and the tiramisu was atrocious. To top the whole thing off, they asked us for a tip despite including a 12.5% service charge. Place needs shutting down and avoid at all costs. Better off going to the pizza express a couple of door along.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!! Tonight we were on our way to watch the new Bridget jones diary at the Curzon cinema. We were STARVING and needed a quick fix before our movie but we got so much more than this. As we were walking to the cinema we see the pizza express and think okay why not that’s easy… we walk in and we’re just ignored and then told that it’s a 20 minute wait which is not ideal as our movie is in less than an hour. So we’re like oof where do we go? Then we walk slightly further down the street and see a shining light of hope coming from this little pizza shop. Colosseo restaurant. We walk in and get greeted by lovely smiling faces and seated immediately. The service was such a joy and the food was incredible. It’s a shame that we had to rush out because it’s a place where you could go and have a nice slow meal. Started, main, desert - whatever your heart desires if you have the time for it. The staff were amazing and seemed impressed/shocked/confused at the speed in which we devoured our pizza and seemed almost sad that we were going away so soon. I would visit here many many many times if I lived in London - will come here next time I’m in the area!!!

A los treinta minutos el lugar estaba lleno y algunos clientes, que no tenían reserva, estaban decepcionados. El menú tenía una excelente gama de opciones. Disfrutamos de nuestro arranque compartido (que era lo suficientemente grande para dos). Los principales eran muy sabrosos, bien presentados y se disfrutaron. Great restaurant and food was lovely and so tasty. I had the cheese pizza which was unreal. Good portion of carbonara and very tasty also. The garlic bread was tasty but a little too hard for me to eat but yummy all the same. Service was great! Very welcoming, would definitely return if we are in the area again! We are eating for the New Year with two friends. We didn't have a reservation and despite that, they made sure to find us a table. Fast and very pleasant service. Staff who make an effort for foreign customers in terms of understanding the language. The meal was really very good. Ps: thank you for the parmesan and happy new year :)

Pretty awful. Decided to eat the chicken with potatoes. The potatoes were alright. They could've used some more seasoning. The chicken was the tiniest, thinnest cut I've ever seen in a restaurant and it wasn't even well prepared. It was dry and relatively tasteless. I'm glad I didn't order the risotto. I've tasted it and I'm genuinely baffled how you manage to get it this tasteless. It tasted like it was rice cooked in water and then some very thin tomato sauce was added to it. No layering of flavors whatsoever. Way overpriced for what you get and then they add 12.5% service charge for non existent service.

I ate pasta with seafood and pizza. Everything is tasty. Some pastas are very spicy.

Went here with some friends for our Christmas meet up. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. Really enjoyed it. Plannng a return visit.

¡Cena de concierto temprano! Un pequeño pero agradable restaurante italiano en Victoria Street. La comida estaba recién cocinada y deliciosa. El menú era Pizza Pasta más platos de carne y pescado. Habíamos reservado sin embargo a las 5 pm no estaba ocupado. Bill llegó a £ 90 para dos incluyendo propina que para Londres era una buena relación calidad-precio.

Excellent experience before leaving London! Like all restaurants in London, it's not cheap, but it's well worth the cost! The service is of high quality!

One star because I can't give less, clearly a scam against tourists. The waiters and waitresses are a 10, but the clever boss at the cashier is a scammer. Very high prices, the worst wine in the supermarket by far at €7 a glass. I recommend not going clearly. -Macaroni -Water -2 glasses of wine €42

Este lugar me fue recomendado por un amigo ya que iba a salir para el cumpleaños de un miembro de la familia en la cercana Abadía de Westminster, así que vinimos aquí después alrededor de la hora del almuerzo sin reserva. No estaba demasiado ocupado. Esto fue un lunes por la tarde. El menú era muy tradicional italiano, teníamos el risotto, y los ñoquis que era particularmente bueno y las porciones muy grandes. No vi mucho en el camino de vegano y gluten - opciones gratuitas, pero era delicioso y el personal era muy amable. Una experiencia gastronómica italiana mucho más auténtica que la pizza express de al lado.

Ate at the restaurant last night (11 December 2024). £17.00 for a small lasagne in a bowl and with tinned tomatoes around the side. Garlic bread and parmesan cheese (extra cost )offered after lasagne arrived. Very small piece of cheesecake ( no cream or ice cream) £7.80. Service charge included on bill. Asked for bill to be paid in cash. Only one other customer - no surprise.

Really disgusting calamari with a very old, almost rotting lemon. I suggested that they have no pride in what they’re doing. Never going back. Gross. What a shame.

Very disappointing dinner! I ordered a customised dish of Spinach and ricotta ravioli with spicy bolognese sauce. I received heated ravioli with tinned bland bolognese! It was absolutely disgusting, I do not recommend this place at all! I give my dog tastier food than I had here! Save your time and money and go to a different restaurant, there are plenty located local to this place and Westminster Hall, where I was going...

Nice place with typical Italian dishes. Kind and attentive staff. We had a good time. Very good rigatoni with ragù, I expected better spaghetti with courgettes and prawns but still good.

It was terrible. They require cash calculation and ask for a service charge as well. The food is very salty.

Lovely experience, absolutely recommended to dine here as a couple for a romantic evening. The staff was friendly, service great. Our risotto has a wonderful taste and texture, as well as our dessert.

Authentic Italian food, the pizza reminded me of when I visited Rome. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, playing with our toddler and putting a candle on our dessert just for fun for her! Would definitely come back to try more of their menu

My first night on my first trip to London. The food was great. Disappointed to have to ask three people for water four times, not offered the dessert menu or option to pay with card.

Buena selección de vinos. El personal era muy atento y disfrutamos de la agradable conversación con nuestro camarero. Disfrutamos tanto de nuestras cenas que volvimos una segunda vez mientras visitábamos por la semana. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Londres.

Once again a delicious meal. Every time we are in London we eat here. Tomatoes with mozzarella as an appetizer, Sella d'agnello (boneless lamb) as a main course and chocolate with hazelnut as a desert. Everything very tasty, especially the tender lamb with potato. Friendly service. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

What a special little hideaway in the heart of London. After a long day site seeing my husband and I stopped here for dinner. The food was excellent and reasonably priced; The staff were all outstanding; and the atmosphere was the cosy tranquility we were looking for.

We had lunch here as we were returning from Buckingham Palace. The waitresses were kind and helpful. We took two pastas with tomato sauce and one pasta with sausage and broccoli. The pasta with tomato sauce wasn't very good: too much sauce and the usual sauce you find everywhere. The pasta with sausage and broccoli was no better: the sauce was completely separate from the pasta. I expected better given the "Italian" restaurant and also given the presence of an Italian owner.

The food was delicious, but our waiter was extremely rude because we ordered coca colas to drink instead of alcohol. Even after we reminded him to bring the drinks to us, he still didn't. This was after he brought the pizza out. Another server did make up for his poor service, but it never should have come to that. He claimed that it was simply a misunderstanding, but I don't buy it. He brought out a baby chair for our daughter but forgets drinks? He would be fired immediately if I was his manager.

Had a lovely meal here just around the corner from our hotel - wanted a nice Italian got exactly that! Staff were welcoming and full of life, always nice to have a happy and friendly welcome. Food was good, atmosphere good, clean, friendly, oh and an extra lemon cello for my birthday! Thanks :)

Nice little restaurant, courteous staff, delicious food

This place was pretty disappointing, to be honest. The pizza was soggy, the gnocchi tasted like frozen gnocchi from a supermarket, and the waitress had a really bad attitude.

Questo posto si trova a pochi passi di Westminster. A cena ci siamo trovati malissimo. Personale poco cordiale, dicevano frasi ingiuriose tra di loro. Io toglierei italiano dal nome del ristorante. Una pizza così balorda, quasi un complimento, non la ho mai mangiata.

We (somewhat ironically) came to Colosseo after a hellish travel day from Milan. It was so lovely and honestly, some of the warmest service we had from Italians that day … and it came from London-based Italians, lol. The food was amazing. Our appetizer was calamari, light and crispy, perfectly seasoned. Pasta was perfectly al dente, again, perfectly seasoned and just delicious. Generous servings. Ambiance was warm and friendly, service was lovely and attentive, food was just fabulous. Highly recommend for a casual meal anytime. Genuinely made us feel like long-lost family and we’ll make a point of going back next time we’re in London.

I ate the chicken in rosemary and vine sos with potatoes. Sounds simple but it brought me back to my childhood and brought tears to my eyes from how amazing it was. Never expected to find something so reminiscent and tasty in London.

We stumbled across this restaurant a few minutes from Victoria Station. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the food, very reasonably priced wine options and great service. The pizza dough was so fresh and light, the lasagne very tasty. We would definitely visit again. Great to support these small local family businesses when surrounded by flamboyant chains and corporate monsters

Went for a pre theatre meal to say my sister and I were disappointed is an understatement . She had soup which was tasteless and like watered down tomato sauce with a bit of veg in . The Homemade bread I had with oil/ balsamic was so stale I could barely eat any . The special fish dish I had was just 3 types of fish on a bed of green beans. Her Pasta with a bolognese sauce was slightly better but nothing to shout about . We passed on desserts . Coffee was the only thing we could not complain about

AWFUL, AWFUL SERVICE They took forever to even just take our order or bring water or bread. We ordered right after the table next to us. They got AND finished their food AND we were STILL WAITING for our food. We had to ask for an update & they blamed it on a new staff member. We came in the restaurant at 6:45 PM. We got served our food at 8:15 PM. We finished eating at 8:30 PM. They pick and choose who to give good service to.

We had dinner at this small casual Italian restaurant whose attentive staff presented each delicious item. Appetizers were caprese salads featuring fresh-pulled mozzarella, tomatoes that tasted as if picked from the garden that morning, basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Wife got an encrusted salmon perfectly cooked, friend and I got linguini with seafood tossed in olive oil with a hint of garlic. Wife snd I are planning a 2nd meal there before we leave London.

The food is always served very quickly, which is very useful at lunchtime. Recommend the spaghetti carbonara.

In London everything is expensive but this place is worth going to eat! The pastas are well served and really delicious, the pizzas were not my hit. Enjoy your trip!

We happened upon this restaurant after being turned away for having children after 5p at Munich Cricket Club. After being sorely disappointed after wanting German food, we thought we were “settling” for Italian food. What a change of luck! This place, the service was so amazing and fast. Very attentive. Our daughter dropped her fork and literally when she got back up from picking it up, a fresh fork was offered to her. As Americans, sometimes we get frustrated with slower pace of life in Europe but this place would make most American restaurants embarrassed. The food - oh my gosh the food. My husband lived in Italy and it was authentic Italian pizza, Hugo spritz, and amazing tiramisu. We were all left stuffed and with no regrets. Felt very blessed to have found this place.

Wasn’t the best experience if I’m honest. We got the buffalo mozzarella and it was sour? It came with meat which we ate but we still got charged for it despite being served sour food. Working as a general manager in the restaurant industry this is not how I would respond to serving a customer out of date food. We also got a pizza which was nice I will give them that. The seafood pasta however also tasted like the seafood had been frozen. Not a good find in my opinion.

We booked for dinner through Google at the last minute and everything was great! We ordered some ricotta and spinach ravioli with tomato sauce and a cheese pizza and everything was spectacular. For dessert, the only one that was homemade was the tiramisu, so we opted for it and it was very delicious. The service of 10 too. Add that, like all of London, the price is somewhat high, since all this cost us about €55 (with tap water to drink). It must be said that it is a 15-minute walk from Big Ben, so it is quite central, and that in addition to the food, they charge you a 12.5% ​​"tip", which is what really makes the price skyrocket. What an incredible meal! It's a wonderful Italian restaurant with a local vibe, It's in easy walking distance from the Palace/Abbey areas. The service was great, the atmosphere relaxing, and the food delicious. Will definitely go again when we're back in the city.

Wonderful large portions of food and excellent friendly service. Couldn't finish my pasta carbanara which was a shame - have had this dish in an Italian restaurant in Rome and this dish was on par with that! Highly recommend this restaurant just make sure you skip a meal before eating here! 🤣

Colosseo heeft een uitgebreide menukaart. De gerechten hadden een goede kwaliteit en een redelijke prijs. Ze serveerden snel en bekwaam. Voor de betaling werd gedaan kreeg ik een leuk verwijt dat ik mijn bord niet leeg had; ik was de enige. Maar ik had Spaghetti met zeevruchten (garnalen, mosselen, inktvis) waar een klein restant van de spaghetti maar lag. De spaghetti was echt te veel. En ze was nieuwsgierig naar een horloge van een vriend van mij.

Good restaurant, friendly staff. The surprise came when paying. There was a £5.50 service charge. That's approximately €6.40, really too much! We asked if this was a normal amount. "Yes, that's a normal amount." We couldn't find it on the menu either.

I visited this restaurant as a lone diner. It delivers an authentic, satisfying, comfortable and memorable experience. The food is excellent value for money for London. I had Mozzarella and Parma ham followed by carbonara - simply delicious. I would have had a desert, only the portion size of the starter and main were so generous, that I was sadly too full to try a desert. Although this gives me an excellent excuse to come back again and try them, and enjoy the company of the staff once again - who were lovely.

I ordered the sea bass with mash potato. Potato mash was a bit dry and not much lemon sauce so it tasted a bit dry.
