Came for breakfast without a reservation but arrived dead on 10am when it opens. Omelette was OK but overcooked, avocado on toast was OK, one poached egg was over, and the piece of sour dough was a scrag end and slightly burnt. So the food is OK but not great, at £7.99 not bad value if it had been spot on.

Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience here. I ordered a tandoori chicken panini but when it arrived I realised that may contain paprika, which I'm allergic to. I explained the situation to the waiter, who in turn checked with the cook. They confirmed that it contained paprika and so I didn't touch it. I had also ordered tea. At the end, I was charged for the complete meal.

I went to Coffee Max for a birthday meal with friends recently and was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the food and the hospitality of the staff. We all had garlic bread with cheese for starters which was served up pizza style and each portion was more than enough for two people. For main course I shared three dishes with two of my friends who are also vegetarians. I would highly recommend the Penne Siciliana, an oven-baked pasta dish with a delicious, rich, reduced tomato sauce and full of well-cooked aubergines. We also had Penne Ducea with its delightful creamy sauce that includes pistachios and gorgonzola. Our third dish was a Vegetariana pizza which had a generous and varied topping of vegetables including olives. The portions of all of the dishes served were large and the prices are very reasonable with two courses (of pasta or pizza) and a soft drink being about £12 per head. The restaurant was very busy on a Thursday evening but the service was good and we did not have to wait too long for our meal. I should mention the other members of our party all ordered dishes including meat and all of them were complimentary about their food. In conclusion although the décor may in some ways resemble a café, the food is definitely of a good restaurant standard.

Best cup of coffee today and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend it. Pizzas are great and so are the paninis.

Been coming here for years and the quality may have dropped a little but I still really like the food. To me the service is what has dropped... I came with family on a Saturday evening without prior reservation and were seated promptly. We were fortunate as a large party was leaving as we entered. I would advise booking especially on Friday and Weekends. We didn't order starters and went straight to the main. We ordered a Sirloin Streak (mushroom and cream sauce) with vegetables (broccoli covers with cheese and potatoes) and also the Lamb Chops. The streak was very tasty and cooked to a medium rare. The chops (from memory 7-8 pieces) were tender and came covered in very nice spicy sauce. We were very happy with the food but it did take approx 45 mins to arrive which is too long even if the restaurant is full. Apart from the that the service was okay. I have had a few of the pasta dishes on previous occasions and they have all been tasty and a generous portion size. Personally the pasta dishes may be a little overpriced but the streak prices are average if compared to other local restaurants. I would probably give 3 stars based on my recent visit due to the average service and waiting times but taking into account the years I have been coming here it deserves 4 stars especially since the service previously has been excellent.

We travelled to London for a one day trip from Cardiff to surprise our friend for his birthday. We were booked to have food at a Brazilian restaurant but we arrived early so we popped into Coffee Max. We explained that we were meeting some friends and would it be OK to just have hot drinks which we were told was fine. There was a deal for a pastry and any medium hot drink so we all went for that option. It took nearly 30 minutes for two coffees one tea and a hot chocolate to be brought to out table and our croissants sat on the counter waiting to be sent to our table while the waitress stood talking to collegue. We had to ask twice for the hot chocolate which hadn't arrived after all of the other drinks and when the waitress brought it to the table she slammed it down and walked away without so much as an apology. What was even more disgusting, people who had arrived after us and had ordered full cooked breakfasts and hot drinks not only had their coffees served before us but their fully cooked food as well. Coffeemax seemed like a very local place and it seems that local people's custom is much more valued than ours. I've never had such poor service and quite frankly we felt totally unwelcome. Thankfully the rest of the places we visited in Tooting including several shops and the restaurant made up for this appalling excuse for a coffee shop.

This is an interesting place serving Italian halal food with a slight spicy twist. The food is heart warming italian fair from fresh pizza to good steaks and everything in between. Do remember if there are 10 or more there will be a 10% service charge to your bill but overall we had a good family time and that's worth every penny. Also the coffee is amazing good to finish the meal off and the location is nearby to some good dessert places if you like to skip this places own dessert menu and have a change of scenery.

Tooting is in dire need of a an alternative cuisine to the lovely indian/Pakistani restaurants so this place could really do well. Unfortunately, it lacks atmosphere and the staff are pretty awful. Very often they are too busy talking amongst themselves to notice customer needs. Having said that, the food isn't too bad. The pasta dishes are decent and the portions are good.

I am absolutely disgusted with their customer service. This wasn't the first time they displayed such poor quality service. The food is good but the waitresses are terrible. They gossip about the customers (white blond waitress and head chef), say "OMG" under their breath and roll their eyes behind customers back when they ask for something (asian waitress with green contacts) and worse they attack you loudly when you confront their bad behaviour. I really want to speak to the actual owner about the staff he has employed and seriously investigate complaints.

I have been visiting for the past 2 years every now and again and each time I visit, I walk out feeling evermore disappointed. I feel that they do good food, however, the waiting time is shocking and the staff are just not engaging enough to keep you occupied whilst you wait. I had to wait about 40 minutes for a piece of lasagne and the restaurant wasn't even busy. As much as I like good food, Michelin stared restaurants can put Italian food on my table in less time!

Vienen aquí una vez al mes como local para reuniones. Lugar agradable. Vistas del Támesis. Un pequeño tesoro escondido en este pot la finca. Me gusta aquí.
